my mom and I come here, and my mom specifically wanted to book with someone specific, but was told they weren't working the day we wanted to come in. So reluctantly, we made appointments anyway. Our appointment time was 12:30 and we got there a little early to pick out colors. We walked in and the person my mom wanted to book with was there and had someone she was working on. So my mom said that she wanted to have her do her nails and they told her it would be an hour and half. my mom wanted me to keep my original appointment because it takes me a little longer to get acrylics anyway. I sat and waited for 30 minutes before going to the front counter and asking why i wasn't being taken back when my appointment was for 30 minutes prior. They told me that i was their top priority and that as soon as someone was down i would be taken. They just made me sit in the waiting area, and I waited the same amount of time as someone who walked in 20 minutes after me. I ended up just walking out when they took another person before me. The staff up front were nice, but didn't seem to know what they were doing.They're REALLY unprofessional and disorganized. read more

I'm a regular customer at Lounge Nail spa but the day i went they weren't talking walk ins so i came herewith my friend (on my birthday) for a pedi and dip. The tech i had was VERY rude and half assed her job. I could barely understand her and she rushed through the pedi and my nails. At one point she told me i needed two tips on my nails but i told her to just make all my nails shorter, she laughed and continued to put fake tips on. When she was done with my nails she told me i was all done and needed to go pay. Mind you my friend was still getting her nails done beside me but I get up and noticed she told me to get up so that she could have another client sit. She was beyond rude and barely gave me a pedi. My mom and I came here for my birthday today to get a pedicure. We got in pretty quick, but the 2 people doing our toes acted as if they didn't want to be there. I came in today to get a quick fill in before work and I told the receptionist I did not want gel on the phone and when I came in. Still, Sunny asked why I didn't want it. I told her it lasts the same amount of time for me so it wasn't worth the extra money. Because I got regular polish, I paid before she painted them and it was way more than I was expecting. She charged me extra for filing my nails, changing the shape and taking off the previous gel. The only charge I can kind of agree with is the taking off of the gel because some places will charge you to soak it off, but still every time they take it off with the drill I am never charged. If she told me she would have to charge me, I probably would've just gotten a gel fill. As you can see from the pictures, there was no change of shape and they were filed down a normal amount, what I expect would be included in the fill in. There's no reason this should've cost me the same amount as a full set. She even insisted I kept my previous design. I guess I am just curious what exactly is included with the fill, just the application of more acrylic? My reaction would also be different if she was clear about everything extra I would be paying for upfront, I even had to ask the receptionist for an itemized copy because I was not offered one. Overall, she did a good job and was cordial but I will not be returning to this location due to never knowing how much I will be walking out paying. Had a wonderful pedicure today. I came on a busy Friday but didn't feel rushed at all. The place is beautiful and I was pleasantly surprised by all the options they offer. They have a variety of spa sea salts to choose from, and even offer wine with the signature pedicure. The massage was great, and I had a very pleasant conversation with my nail tech. Very dissatisfied with my visit today. The nail tech, Henry T., tried to overcharge me by $10. From the moment I sat down, I said I wanted medium round. The nails looked a little pointier than I wanted, but I thought I would fix them when I got home. He then tried to charge me $10 extra telling me that I changed the shape. I do not believe this was a language barrier. I believe he purposely mis-shaped them to charge the extra $10. When I complained, they took the extra charge off and he quickly changed the shape of my nails leaving them all slightly different lengths and shapes. He obviously did not want to take any longer on me knowing he was not going to make as much. Do not tell me that I changed my mind and try to blame the problem on me. I could've easily paid the extra $10 but I'm not going to be told that it was my fault. No way. Nice try. read more

Don't ever go here. I didn't like the fact it was a rush job. Henry didn't even clean my hands he just got the mechanical file and proceeded to rush through. He pretty much filed away my cuticles. Henry was rough and it the process really hurt me. I think Henry was reusing the nail file and I am pretty sure I got a staph infection. My doctor is putting me on antibiotics. read more

Excellent nail salon. Upon walking in, the inside is gorgeous & clean. They have a mini bar area. Helen was my nail technician, she was AMAZING. I had a 1:00 appt but her previous appt was running a little behind. She made me aware it would be about 10 minutes past my appt until she was able to get to me which I appreciated her letting me know and she allowed me to sit in the massage chair while I waited which was really nice. During my appt she made sure to explain everything she was doing and made sure I was happy every step of the way. I wish I could give this nail salon below a 1! My daughter got a mani and pedi done late last week. They changed the price on her multiple times before finishing and charging her over $100 before tip. Within a few hours her nails starting cracking. She went back to get the first one fixed. A few hours later another broke and her gel toenails were chipping off. She called and asked for a refund and of course was told no. She went back in (the second time she had to leave school early and be late to work) only for them to tell her she is too hard on her nails and it wasn't their fault. He also told her that she needs to understand it wasn't fair to them to give her money back. She is an 18 year old college student that works very hard for her money. Unacceptable! read more

I'm posting this review on behalf of my wife, because we believe that future customers should be warned. The following is her review: Health Hazard! Beware! I went in tonight to get my powder nail polish off and a mani. My tech was Ben. He started off cutting my cuticles with tools from a sealed package and cut my index finger. Not too bad, so it wasn't a huge deal. Then he pulled a new cuticle cutter from his drawer and cut my thumb real bad. So bad that I'm at home now, and it is still bleeding. I asked him when he pulled the tool out of the drawer if it was sterile and clean, and he said yes, but I noticed after he cut me, he put it back in the drawer!!! I was bleeding pretty bad, and he wanted to apply polish. I told him to stop, so I could wash my hands. He let me. When I came back I was trying to stop the bleeding still and even asked if he had some antiseptic or something, and he told me NO! He then started to apply polish mixing it with my blood. Sorry to future people he uses it on, at least I have no infectious diseases. Multiple health violations occurred in my experience, and now I fear I may end up catching something if this is how they practice. I will be contacting the health department. Never in my life have I experienced something like this at a nail salon. read more

When I walk in, I'm greeted immediately by the front desk attendant, who finds me a technician within minutes every time! I like that because normally the "front desk" person is a busy, inattentive, nail tech. They offer a complimentary drink with certain services, and the color selections are VAST. I sat with Hong who was very personable and professional and he fixed my nails and made them look beautiful! I LOVE what he has done. I got dip nails done here and they were good at the start. Three days later my first nail chipped and that's never happened before so I was confused. When I went in to the nail salon to get it fixed they messed up my cuticles and the shape of my nail. The next day I came in with two more chipped nails and they said it would cost more. My visit to this nail spa was very disappointing. I had been coming here for about two years and one bad experience completely ruined this place for me. I had a man named Patrick do my nails and I showed him the gel ink that was displayed that had a base color of white with purple on top. I showed him the design and asked if they had the gel ink in any other color and he got blue out and I said thank you do you have any other colors. Patrick then said they only I had blue and I asked if they had purple since they had the purple design displayed and he told me no. So I agreed to go with the blue gel ink design to make it easier even though I wanted pink gel ink. Before he began on my nails I sat down and apologized and asked one more time if they possibly had pink and he said yes and proceeded to get out a pink powder and I explained that I wanted the gel ink in pink multiple times throughout to make sure he understood and my friend explained as well. Patrick said he understood and began putting pink powder on my nails after I had previously explained multiple times that I wanted a white base color with pink gel ink and when I asked him not to he got upset and starting talking about me to the worker next to him in a different language and pointing at me. She seemed to try to calm him down and then he went to his manager Tommy. Tommy then accused me of "wasting Patrick's time and his time for not telling him what I wanted till he had already done it". This was upsetting because I had told him from the beginning what I wanted before Patrick began on my nails and the manager yelling at me and embarrassing me for a mistake that wasn't my fault was awful. My friend next to me could tell I was visibly upset and agreed that how the manager acted was unprofessional. I get trying to stand up for your workers but when they are in the wrong and you decide to belittle a customer is terrible. I sat there quietly while Patrick finished my nails and the tension was palpable and when I left two of my fingers were bleeding which I hope wasn't done on purpose but it felt like he was very rough after the conversation with his manager. I refuse to go to this establishment again after this humiliating experience. read more

When you walk inside the spa looks awesome and they do walk ins everyday which is a plus. I tried them out when they first opened and were running a special. They don't have as many nail polishes to choose from as other spas do so that was a little disappointing. I opted for the top of line pedicure which included a foot scrub, massage and also wine. My pedicure lasted maybe two days before the polish started to chip. Also the ladies who work there look like they are going to the club which I can't imagine is comfortable to work while wearing tight dresses. I won't be back. read more

So after a half hour wait, I ask how much longer. "Just waiting for a tech" then another half an hour asked again. A tech behind the receptionist asked what was wrong, the receptionist told her I just needed an eyebrow wax. The tech said she just get here? Um no I've been here for over an hour with no one letting me know how much longer. An hour wasted! So I left and went down the street to pampered nails on Dayton xenia. In the past couple months I've experienced extreme prejudice and disrespect from several women working at this shop. Today was the last straw. Apparently if you fit a particular demographic you will be treated extremely poorly by the staff here. I told the manager that no customer deserves to be talked to the way I was talked to when I was merely asking questions before my service was to be done. The girl hadn't even gotten started on my nails and she was already short and nasty with me. I will NEVER pay my money to go here again and suggest others think twice before going as well. read more

The ONLY reason I'm giving this place a 2 instead of a 1 is because the girl who did my nails did a great job- her name tag was covered up by her jacket so I didn't get a chance to see. However, my sister came with me and the lady who did hers completely ruined her nails and didn't listen to a thing my sister said as far as what she wanted. She said she only wanted a little length taken down and she cut her nails off and filed them down almost completely! These were her real nails that she had been growing out and getting dipped! Then she had no idea how to stiletto shape her nails. And while filing her nails she cut her with the file at least two different times. The place looked really nice on the inside and out but I will never go back there again because overall the service was terrible. Even when my sister mentioned at the front to the girl checking her out that she wasn't satisfied and that her nails were ruined the girl responded "this is the best place to get your nails done" uhh okay, apparently not if you have a dissatisfied customer and then don't even offer any type of discount. They should work on their customer service skills. read more
