We were starving and in desperate need of a place that met our dietary needs for being gluten-free (Celiac disease) and vegan (choice). Thank goodness we found Luna Grill. I chose the vegan bowl, a delicious combination of different lettuces, Greek cabbage, cucumber, tomatoes, chickpeas and more. I came to this location because I also got a free shake from shake shack and didn't wanna make an extra trip to the one on El Toro road which is my usual location. Never been until today, but it is a nice little location. Parking is awful at spectrum though. I enjoyed my food but the schug recipe is different than the other locations I've been to and it was not good. It tasted like some americanized green paste that kebab shop serves but not spicy. Also, usually other locations let me substitute my tzatziki sauce for free. This one doesn't and they charge you for an extra sauce. A 1.5oz cup with tax is almost $2 which is insane. I'll stick with the El Toro location in lake forest from now on. They always take care of me at no extra cost. read more

So many good options at the spectrum but we've never had Luna grill before so we decided to give it a try. You basically line up to place your order, they'll give you a number, you find a table and they'll bring you the food. The service is not bad even though not much service is actually provided. The pricing is a bit high but I guess it's reasonable considering you're at the mall. The food was ok. Nothing crazy. I really enjoyed the fries. Other than that, it was ok. My sister recommended this place recently. I'd eaten here before a long time ago but forgot how good it is, thinking it was just a mall food court type of Mediterranean place. But, no, it is really like a Mediterannean Rubio's or Panera. Great menu selection, from bowls and wraps to salads and sides. Protein options from beef to chicken to salmon to veg (falafel). My sister really likes the salmon plate, which came with basmati rice, a fresh large side salad, tzatziki sauce, and another side (I forgot). It was about $12 for it, which is kind of high for a meal served in a plastic tray (darn COVID measures, so much waste...), but the food is good quality and it's salmon, so 'tis what 'tis. My wrap was super flavorful (and maybe TOO flavorful with the olives and pepperocini, I would sub just regular lettuce next time) but it all went pretty well together. The falafel is awesome. I am no falafel expert but this was crunchy on the outside, creamy yet still textured on the inside and flavorful all on its own. The lavash it was wrapped in also had flaxseed so it was a pretty healthy carb. The food here is flavorful, portioned nicely and pretty healthy. Would love to see more sustainable serveware and slightly pricey for a casual lunch spot but overall solid spot. read more

I would have given this place 3 stars based on the past experiences I've had but am putting 4 because of my most recent visit. One of the workers at the registers, I believe his name is Isaac (?), exemplifies someone who knows how to talk to and serve a customer. My other experiences...not so great to say the least. First time at the spectrum location even though we've been to the other locations in Irvine. Located right by the Regal cinemas - you can't miss it. This Luna Grill is a great family friendly option with plenty of outdoor, airy seating in a covered, shaded area. Everything is so clean and well spaced out. All our meals were delicious - my kids loved it too and ate so well. My husband and I got combination gyro and chicken meals. Got the kids one gyro meal and one chicken meal. Kids meals get a choice of rice or fries, and it comes with carrots and sliced pita. The kids thought the carrots were so good and wanted more (gasp!). The chicken kabobs were soooo tender and came out piping hot. Our gyros were perfectly seasoned and cooked too. Love the side of Greek salad too - the dressing is delish. Everything was delicious and our server Ghazal was attentive and great too. Will definitely make this a regular spot whenever we're at the spectrum! read more

Visited while at the Spectrum as I was starving and every other place had a 30 minute wait. It's fast casual so order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. I ordered the chicken kabob plate. It comes with rice, pita bread, and salad. It was simply "okay". Good but rather lackluster. The chicken was a bit on the tough side and lacking flavor but the tahini sauce helped with that issue. The salad was great - fresh with a nice mix of diced cucumber & tomato amidst the greens. The pita was pretty good. I can't dispute it was a healthy meal. Staff were pleasant but could have been more on the ball in respect to keeping tables clean. read more

Mehhh perfectly describes the food we received from Luna Grill at the Irvine Spectrum. Multiple aspects of our meals left us wanting more. In the gyro plate, the lettuce in the Greek salad was wilted which may be due to way the food was packaged. The lamb in the kabob plate was tough and had an oddly slimy coating. There seems to be plenty of Mediterranean restaurants in the area so I'd recommend another locale if possible. While Luna Grill wasn't bad it wasn't good either. read more

Next time I'll branch out, but this first sample provided much pleasure and evidence that they can't do anything wrong (except be closed when I'm craving more ;) A few minutes after placing my order the warm flatbread came out with butter. Comparatively, many other Persian restaurants use Lavash sections, so I enjoyed the contrast. The neighboring table of four received their plates one at a time, so I figured the kitchen and grill were probably also fairly constricted like the lobby. Nonetheless, it didn't take long and the generous, colorful portions were a sight to behold! The first thing I noticed was how moist and tender both kabobs were. Not burnt or dry anywhere on either type. That's attributable to the elevated method of grilling, but here the chef has it down to a science. The second observation came later when I didn't feel excessively thirsty, or bloated, ir dehydrated. Some restaurants really brine the meat while marinating, but here it's another level of perfection. Good service and a reasonable price, although the menu prices might be behind current food costs. Still, it was totally worth it. I didn't have a way to keep leftovers in a safe temperature range, so I ate everything. Full, but not stuffed.

I've never experienced such unprofessional and disrespectful customer service. The issue was clearly with the phone connection, not with me, yet I was treated as though I was inconveniencing him. The interaction left me so upset that I called back and canceled my order. There are plenty of restaurants that value their customers and know how to treat people with basic courtesy. Had an awful experience with Luna Grill at Spectrum Center in Irvine today. Ordered two chicken kebabs. The food was awful, Chicken was 4 tiny pieces and was burnt and had no taste, rice was not cooked, Salad portion included two slices of cucumber, a slice of tomato, and half of the leaf of lettuce with no dressing, the food portion too small, served cold, and nothing was fresh. Among other things, the bathroom was filthy, soap dispenser not working, water faucet not working. The floor was messy most tables had dirty dishes and leftover foods from the previous customers on them. When I asked for the manager to complain about the food, a woman named " LINDA" came to my table, claimed that she is the manager, she had a very poor attitude, was extremely rude and unfriendly. I told her about the food, no apologies! I asked her to change my food, first, she refused to do it and then she said she will only change, ONE piece of the chicken kebob since she believed only one piece was burnt!!! Then she took away the whole plate with all the food in it and did not give me another one, and went to the cash register, after overcharging me for two extra sodas that we never had, she refunded half of one order by throwing money at me. I told her that I will make a complaint to the owner and the Headquarter, and will write a review about how she mistreated us, she smirked and said:" be my guest". WOW!!! Is this what they call customer service!? I used to come to this place in the past, and never had such a horrible experience, I would NEVER go back again, and make sure others know about my experience as well. read more

Finally one place at the Irvine Spectrum to eat that will leave you smiling and satisfied with no complaints! I fell in love with Luna Grill many years ago in at the San Diego area at the Fenton Parkway plaza. Before I would always wished for Luna Grill to come to OC and this year I have been spoiled. There is one location in Lake Forest (near my place) and now this one at the Spectrum. #WINNING Same decor as the other locations, vibrant red on the walls, modern dining furniture, modern Ikea like lighting fixtures. What I really like about their dining floor plan is there are stools for better viewing of the TVs while I eat. On this visit I ordered my usual: hummus starter with regular pita and a Beef Wrap (med-rare) sub a side salad. Everything was great: the pita bread was warm, light, soft, and fluffly. The hummus was smooth, rich, and creamy. The olives give it a healthy saltiness to the hummus. The beef in the wrap was cooked to perfection med-rare. Super tender, the veggies were char-ed perfectly. It has just enough char-ed flavor. The spicy creamy spread in the wrap was on point! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth that set the stage for a delightful dining experience. The manager, Chris, is an absolute charm of authentic hospitality. He effortlessly balances professionalism with a sincere desire to ensure every guest feels valued, even taking a liking to our Frenchie, Cona. His presence truly elevates the atmosphere of the restaurant. Equally impressive was his employee, Oliver. Oliver approached our table on numerous occasions, showing a level of attentiveness that is rarely seen. He genuinely seemed to care if we were enjoying our food and made sure we were well taken care of, as if we needed anything more. I have been going to the one in Hunington beach and I always liked their customer service . I decided to introduce this restaurant to my friend in irvine spectrum and I told her it was really good you need to try and we ordered one of the items supposed to be the trio hummus the cashier never mentioned that one of the trio is pure mayo garlic sauce we paid for it and waited for it as I tasted that weird dipping garlic I asked the one that brought to maybe get us a scoop of hummus instead and then I see one lady coming to our table and she said that she can't a accommodate us because of her policy .. so I said that is fine we will never be back here again and you lost a customer forever maybe I speak to the manager she replied I am the general manager . I am like one minute later can I get our money back witch she did happily refunded me my $35 . The store manager name '' LINDA '' . 5 stars isn't enough for Chris Foley. This man sets the standard for what a true GM should be. The leadership, professionalism, energy, and care he brings every single day is unreal. You can tell immediately that he genuinely cares about both his team and every guest that walks through the door. Chris doesn't just manage a restaurant he builds a culture. The environment is fast, organized, welcoming, and runs at such a high level because of the example he sets. Even during the busiest rushes, he stays calm, locked in, and makes sure every guest leaves happy. That kind of leadership is rare. The attention to detail, hospitality, cleanliness, and overall execution under Chris is honestly next level. Employees respect him, guests appreciate him, and it's obvious why this place operates so smoothly. I like Mediterranean food. And I like it when it's cooked well. I stumbled upon it one day after school and since then Luna Grill and I are like cookies and milk. My favorite part about Luna Grill is that the items are all-natural. You can taste the fact the gyro has no MSG, but still has a nice moisture and flavor. I get the gyro most of the time and it has never steered me wrong. I also like the variety of health foods and with thighs like these, I try to mix it up with the chicken or apple walnut salad. The chicken is exceptionally juicy and when I'm feeling cheesy, I get the Feisty Feta. It's like a party in my mouth. My main gripe is that it can be a bit pricey for things like the lamb or the salmon plate. And personally I do not like the yogurt dip because of the mint flavor in there. Overall, this Luna Grill is a really inviting and very beautiful. I don't even feel like I'm in a 'fast' food joint. read more

Melika the homie is so nice to all the customers , like wow how can anyone be that nice and after working in food service. Even the managers , they're always so nice and friendly , it makes you want to come back for every single meal! usually other places treat you with the bare minimum but these guys at luna , they treat every single person who walks through those glass doors like family. My husband and I decided to come here before our movie last weekend as the wait at Javier's was over an hour. By first appearances the place is nice. Good seating, clean for a quick service place and nice lighting. Unfortunately, that's the best part of Luna Grill. My husband opted for a lamb kabob while I opted for chicken. Neither were appetizing. The salad that accompanied my meal, if you can call 2oz or so of strictly green leaves a salad, was without any flavor what so ever. I believe I may have spotted some microscopic trace of vegetable but that may have just been my mind hoping for something that was not there. The service was blah. No smile, no thank you for your business as this place is completely dead at 7pm on a Thursday night, nothing. We felt as if we were inconveniencing them by patronizing this establishment. We have been going to Luna Grill in Carlsbad for 2 years whenever I visit my folks in Carlsbad (twice a month). The food is tasty. My favorite is the chicken kabob entree with rice and veggie. My son's favorite is the ground sirloin kabob entree with fries and veggie. I was glad that Luna Grill finally opened a place in OC. We visited the one in Irvine Spectrum the other day. The food was great, just as expected. We like the clean, contemporary decor. My 10-yr son said "this looks more luxurious than the one in Carlsbad". We've been to other mediterranean places, but none is as good (cleanliness, taste of food, price = value) as this place. YUM YUM (not the doughnuts, but the food here). I was visiting Spectrum and was recommended this place by a few friends and wasn't disappointed. When one thinks of Mediterranean food, they immediately imagine gyros. However, they offer really delicious chicken. Love, love the flat cut chicken. It's marinated very well and super tender. I was also surprised at how good the burger was for a Greek place. And it's nice to know that it's pretty healthy. Ratio of sides to kabobs is a little off in my opinion, but it's a good eat other than that. read more

Clean eating is delish! I can't believe it took me this long to Yelp Luna Grill but no time like the present! My hubby and I frequent this Luna Grill location weekly. The food is amazing and what keeps us coming back for more is the friendly and personable staff! I'll admit, I might be a little bit of a cookie snob because the flavor wasn't quite my favorite. BUT the texture had that nice soft, fall-apart quality if that's the kind of cookie you're into. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal, and the Steak Chimichurri Sandwich is definitely something I'd order again!

Was also confused when picking it up, the location didn't seem like a restaurant and you don't go in the store, you wait outside. But no one was there to help me so it was confusing. Cannot speak to the other type of food, but avoid the pizza.
