Beef Koobideh Kabob and Meat Lovers
    Myra J.

I don't know how I have never been here before. The kabob is amazing. I love Persian and middle eastern cuisine and this place served it best. The service was amazing, there was plenty of seating. We came during the week for dinner and we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. We waited another 15 for our food. Everything was made fresh and served hot. It was so delicious. The rice and kabob was extremely delicious. I can't pick a favorite because both beef and chicken were amazing. I highly recommend trying this place out!! I definitely want to come back for the koobideh wrap!

Right of the bat staff gets kudos for turning off those dreaded heat lamp things. Those are so freaking irritating. People who request those be turned on full FURNACE blast in Southern California should be sent straight to jail or some type of concentration camp. Anyways. The food is good, not life-changing, but definitely hits the spot when you're craving something filling and relatively clean. I got one of their kabob plates; long strip of grilled beef over rice with salad, avocado, grilled veggies, and a side of that yogurt sauce. The meat was cooked well, nice char on it, decent flavor, medium juiciness. Rice was solid, nothing special but did the job. The grilled veggies were actually one of the better parts -- good seasoning, slight char, not soggy. The chicken was dryer than I remembered but still Pretty solid flavor profile. Also tried their Alfredo pasta... honestly did not expect to like it so much. It had a flavor profile that's so delicious and smacked me right in the face. Even with the linguine or whatever being overcooked it was still amazing. Overall though, it's consistent, portions are solid, and you leave full without feeling like complete garbage. Not somewhere I'm going out of my way for, but I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area and want something easy and reliable.

Both plates were flat iron steak, except mine I ask for all rice. But they forgot the bell pepper on mine.

We originally went to Houston's but it was over an hour wait time so we decided just to go here...and it turned out to be a smart choice. I usually go to the one near the Spectrum and the food is always outstanding. This place was also very busy but they were able to us down after only a few minutes waiting . We both ordered the flat iron steak kabob but I had ordered all rice instead of the salad. It was delicious as usual. The only mistake they made was they didn't put any bell pepper on my kabob, which is ok as long as they had tomatoes and onions, which are my favorite vegetables, so I didn't complain. Our waiter was very busy but he was still attentive. Best place to park is in parking structure. So, I would have gave it a 5 star if it wasn't for the missing bell pepper.

Got chicken shish kabob with varying sides including bulgar and basmati rice, as well as the cesar salad and the romaine avocado salad. Pretty solid and service was quick. Affordable healthy meals. Great for vasual biz lunch.

Panini Kabob Grill has been one of my absolute favorite Mediterranean spots in Orange County for the past eight years, and it continues to deliver every single time. The consistency here is unmatched and the flavors, the freshness, and the quality never miss. Their beef kafta kebabs are some of the best you'll find anywhere! They are juicy, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. And the lime dressing? I could put that on everything or drink it! Haha! It's bright, tangy, and ties the whole meal together. We recently brought out-of-town guests who had never tried this type of food before, and they were genuinely impressed. Watching them fall in love with the dishes I've been enjoying for years made the experience even better. Panini Kabob Grill remains a standout for delicious, reliable, beautifully seasoned Mediterranean food. After eight years of visits, it's still a 5-star favorite.

I love this place, and have dined here so many times and they are always on point. Today, I picked up a to-go order as we are celebrating my daughter's birthday at home and I didn't have time to cook...I'm disappointed in the browning avocado they put in the salad.

We went to Panini Kabob on a Sunday afternoon. Parking was good and there was no wait for our group of five. We ordered the family style kabob and hummus trio. As always, the food was great , I really love their kabobs, the taste is so authentic. But this time, I was disappointed with the service. Our server was very busy and didn't check on us the whole time, which I understand, but the hostess wasn't helpful either. When she walked by, I asked for hot sauce and she told me to ask my server. Obviously, he wasn't around for us to ask. She didn't even bother to help, so I asked another employee who finally told our server. By the time the hot sauce came, my food was almost gone. Still love the food here, but I really hope the service gets better next time.

Definitely one of my fav mediterranean spots! The food if good, the portions are huge, and the price is great for what u get. We got the hummus trio for the appetizer which was delicious. My favorite one was the edamame hummus. For the main we got the family style kabobs which came with 3 chicken skewers, 2 salads (we got the greek and romaine avocado), and rice (we got the white basmati). We also got the beef koobideh kabob plate to try, and we got that with the strawberry date salad and bulgar pilaf. Everything was SO SO yummy! The food also comes out pretty fast and the service was great. I can't recommend this place enough!

This was a delicious surprise. The beef was nice and flavorful and great with the rice, but for me the star was the chicken. So juicy and flavorful and with the grilled vegetables, rice and sauce it really hit the spot. Large portion for one very hungry person or 2 people.

Beef Koobideh Kabob w/ rice, grilled veggies and tzatziki (to-go comes w/ side salad). Total was $19.38. The koobideh was cold.

I placed my order online at 12:45 PM and picked it up promptly at the promised time of 1:05 PM. I was immediately underwhelmed and disappointed because I paid almost $20 for a cold koobideh... I can't even tell if my food was freshly prepared. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

    Date salad with chicken kabob

I've been going to Panini Kabob Grill for over 10 years, and I've always been a huge fan of the date salad with chicken kebab--it's usually my go-to. Unfortunately, today was disappointing. The chicken was dry, and the date salad was missing key ingredients like the blackberries and candied walnuts that normally make it so flavorful and balanced. Overall, it just didn't have the same quality I've come to expect. That said, the staff was very nice and courteous, which I appreciated. Hoping this was just an off day, because I know how great this place can be.

This restaurant masterfully prepared their grilled chicken, kebab, and portions were huge. I received literally a full onion, at least one if not, two tomatoes and several pieces of perfectly prepared chicken. I also got the side of falafel with hummus. The hummus was delicious but I didn't love the falafel. Size was on the smaller side so unfortunately each of the 3 pieces were dry so next time I'd pass. However, overall our Service was great, food was great, and the prices were phenomenal!

I've ordered via a 3rd Party App. Y'all have to try the Date Salad, it's truly extraordinary! The Koobideh plate is succulent and delicious! The presentation is bar none... Highly recommended!

Located in a small but busy plaza, HOK is a small, potentially packed restaurant with a few tables outside. About half full mid afternoon on a Saturday, i got a table and quickly made a decision to try the combination plate with a chicken and kubideh kabob, with rice. Next time I'll branch out, but this first sample provided much pleasure and evidence that they can't do anything wrong (except be closed when I'm craving more ;) A few minutes after placing my order the warm flatbread came out with butter. Comparatively, many other Persian restaurants use Lavash sections, so I enjoyed the contrast. The neighboring table of four received their plates one at a time, so I figured the kitchen and grill were probably also fairly constricted like the lobby. Nonetheless, it didn't take long and the generous, colorful portions were a sight to behold! The first thing I noticed was how moist and tender both kabobs were. Not burnt or dry anywhere on either type. That's attributable to the elevated method of grilling, but here the chef has it down to a science. The second observation came later when I didn't feel excessively thirsty, or bloated, ir dehydrated. Some restaurants really brine the meat while marinating, but here it's another level of perfection. Good service and a reasonable price, although the menu prices might be behind current food costs. Still, it was totally worth it. I didn't have a way to keep leftovers in a safe temperature range, so I ate everything. Full, but not stuffed.

Before you visit, keep these things in mind: 1. This is a ghost kitchen, not a full-service restaurant. It's best for takeout and delivery. There are only a few chairs outside--just four in total. 2. Ordering is entirely self-service via a digital kiosk, with no staff on hand to assist you. 3. There are no bathrooms available anywhere on-site. Regarding the food, it was just okay-- a bit underwhelming, especially given that Lebanese cuisine is typically so flavorful. The chicken was dry, the hummus lacked depth, and the rice was bland. That said, the fattoush salad, one of my favorites, was very good, with a delicious dressing. Overall, I can't say I'd return. The prices were quite high for the portions, and the quality didn't meet my expectations. If you're looking for a quick Lebanese meal, this place is a decent option, but don't expect much more than that.
