caesar crunch wrap
Rachel Z.

chose this spot to satisfy family cravings and found highlights and downsides. the wrap is huge which is much worth it's value. its hefty and very filling. my mom and grandma split their bowl which they split, and i was only able to finish half as well. it's decently filled with a good amount of protein which is always appreciated. they have many sauce options which were honestly all pretty tasty. i didn't realize they had dispensers available as well but they provided us with some pre-packaged. although the experience wasn't bad, i find that for the price and topping options (which contribute to the overall flavor), it fell short of cava, a favorite of mine, yet similar. this is a personal opinion, but with such similar concepts, i do not find enough value to return here on my own decision. the topping options are much more limited, thus having a lesser portion than i could be getting elsewhere at a cheaper price and for a more cohesive taste. i feel the ingredients being so simple and few didn't mesh as well, so the sauces were what carried the flavors more than the things inside. i should reiterate that this spot was not bad, but rather missed my standards because of what i know i can find elsewhere with greater taste variety and options, and at a lower cost. as mentioned, these were filling because of the meat, but it was just too simple and i was left wanting more. the best part of this may have been the pita though. for just $1.50, it was such a great addition. super fluffy, chewy, and came out very nice and warm. this was delicious. i would maybe even come just for that service was good, very responsive and welcoming. i did need a lid to go but their lids didn't fit the bowl ~ ended up having to also get a bag to keep everything for spilling out. maybe just a bad batch of lids/bowls which i understand but was a little inconvenient. the location was very clean and open which i liked, with lots of seating available. big parking out in front so no issues there.

It was an Ok experience but the wrap was not as good as ones I get at the Irvine Center location. Ingredients from what I ordered were missing and it had very little chicken with mainly lettuce as filling. What really bothered me was the bathroom, it was not clean and they don't offer any paper towel for drying hands. In a restaurant where you eat with your hands you should not have to touch the door handle inside the bathroom when you are done washing your hands.

Came here due to the raving reviews and it was honestly a huge let down. First off, it was empty when we first arrived yet our food took 50 minutes to prepare. Mind you, this is not a high end restaurant so there's no reason it should take that long. Secondly, the prices were extremely overpriced for both the quality of the food and portion size. What bugged us the most is we could've spent that money at a nice dine-in restaurant and gotten some yummy juice flavourful kebabs. Anyways, the proteins we got were chicken and steak and they were both lacking in flavour. The salad dressing was not even lemon vinaigrette?? It was just water and oil. The tzatziki was the actual worst that we've tasted and the other side sauces that were offered at the self-serve area were all out! The fries were probably the best part. The wrap was flavourless and dry. Honestly, just all around a terrible experience and I really don't know if we ate the same food as everyone else who gave 5 stars. Maybe we're just really picky but going to Cava would've been better.

Very disappointed in the online ordering process. They didn't remember any of the sauces for my plate. We also ordered a brownie as an add on for one of the plates we ordered, but the ordering system didn't flag it. The vegetables were also very wet and oily, so it wasn't very enjoyable. It leaked through the container. I liked that the chickpea salad came in its own container so it wouldn't get the rest of the dish wet. Chicken shawarma: 7.5/10 good other than it getting wet from the vegetables Saffron chicken: 7.5/10. Good but can't really tell the difference between this and the chicken shawarma Vegetables: 5/10. Sad Chickpea salad: 7.5/10. Good as well and a decent amount Kebab fries: 6/10. Very lacking in toppings Falafel: 7/10. Good but not stand out The staff and manager were nice and understanding though.

PROTEIN BOWL, TRUFFLE MAKER

The Protein Bowl and Truffle Maker were healthy choices. The truffle flavor was pretty good.

this is what I got from the photo. Speechless....$19

Terrible experience!! 1. Wait for like 30 mins to get food and not many people in the restaurant. 2. Then went home, this is what I got from the photo. Speechless.... 3. I can't eat the rice, tastes like chlorine, very bad quality, chicken is very dry. 4, definitely not worth, especially costs $19

Well, I think I have a new favorite Persian kabob restaurant! It's pretty far from home, but I…read morecould easily work it into the flight path so to speak, between the Tustin REI and 17th Street in Costa Mesa. Located in a small but busy plaza, HOK is a small, potentially packed restaurant with a few tables outside. About half full mid afternoon on a Saturday, i got a table and quickly made a decision to try the combination plate with a chicken and kubideh kabob, with rice. Next time I'll branch out, but this first sample provided much pleasure and evidence that they can't do anything wrong (except be closed when I'm craving more ;) A few minutes after placing my order the warm flatbread came out with butter. Comparatively, many other Persian restaurants use Lavash sections, so I enjoyed the contrast. The neighboring table of four received their plates one at a time, so I figured the kitchen and grill were probably also fairly constricted like the lobby. Nonetheless, it didn't take long and the generous, colorful portions were a sight to behold! The first thing I noticed was how moist and tender both kabobs were. Not burnt or dry anywhere on either type. That's attributable to the elevated method of grilling, but here the chef has it down to a science. The second observation came later when I didn't feel excessively thirsty, or bloated, ir dehydrated. Some restaurants really brine the meat while marinating, but here it's another level of perfection. Good service and a reasonable price, although the menu prices might be behind current food costs. Still, it was totally worth it. I didn't have a way to keep leftovers in a safe temperature range, so I ate everything. Full, but not stuffed.

**1-star review** I…read morecalled to place a pickup order, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. The phone connection on the restaurant's end was very poor. I had a hard time hearing the employee, so I politely said, "I'm sorry?" several times because I genuinely couldn't understand what he was asking. Instead of being patient or trying to speak more clearly, he became visibly irritated. His tone became increasingly rude, and he raised his voice at me as if I was the problem. Despite the poor phone connection, I managed to complete my order. At the end of the call, he abruptly said, "It will be ready in 20 minutes," and hung up on me without a "thank you," "goodbye," or even asking if I needed anything else. I've never experienced such unprofessional and disrespectful customer service. The issue was clearly with the phone connection, not with me, yet I was treated as though I was inconveniencing him. The interaction left me so upset that I called back and canceled my order. There are plenty of restaurants that value their customers and know how to treat people with basic courtesy. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. I won't be returning.

Friends introduced me to this place for the first time tonight and I genuinely loved it. I had seen…read moresome negative reviews, which honestly surprised me. A lot of people I trust have raved about it, and I'm glad I gave it a shot. Our server, Leyla, was great. She took orders for 6 people entirely from memory without a single mistake, all while staying kind, attentive, and composed during a busy service. The food was excellent. The tahdig was crispy, and the stews were rich and homemade, easily some of the best I've had. The koobideh kabob was flavorful and cooked very well, and the chicken barg was equally good. For dessert, the faloodeh had a good balance of rose water, and the Persian ice cream was just as good. I really enjoyed everything about this place and will absolutely be back.

This is my second time coming to this restaurant. The first time, the service and quality of the…read morePersian food were not impressive, but their outdoor seating is nice, so we decided to give it another shot. Unfortunately, it was a mistake. Despite a sign saying 'Wait to be seated,' there was no hostess present. After 5 minutes of waiting, a busboy who didn't speak English attempted to seat us without welcoming us. He barely communicated that no seats were available outside, and when I asked what the wait time was, he could not answer. I found the manager, a Persian lady in her 50s, and asked if she could tell me when an outside table would be available. In a surprisingly snarky tone, she snapped in Farsi, 'You're asking me for the impossible, how do I know how long it's going to take for them to be done? Do *you* know how long it's going to take for them to be done?' I was shocked. Obviously, the answer to a question like this is a standard 15 to 25 minutes of wait time, but unfortunately, she chose a much harder and completely unnecessary response pattern. I told her that this is no way to speak with a customer and started to walk away, choosing to take our business to Caspian Restaurant instead. Unbelievably, she then yelled after me, 'Excuse me, I asked you a question, why are you walking away?' to which, of course, I did not respond. I feel everybody should know about this because a restaurant in such an expensive location needs customer service as its foundation to get repeat clients. It's very unfortunate that this happens to restaurants where the owners are silent and hire the wrong managers--managers who can't handle stress well, or who feel their outdated customer support still holds up in 2026. Unless they change their management style and make a visible change, I would strongly discourage anyone from needing to experience the same.

Before you visit, keep these things in mind: 1. This is a ghost kitchen, not a full-service restaurant. It's best for takeout and delivery. There are only a few chairs outside--just four in total. 2. Ordering is entirely self-service via a digital kiosk, with no staff on hand to assist you. 3. There are no bathrooms available anywhere on-site. Regarding the food, it was just okay-- a bit underwhelming, especially given that Lebanese cuisine is typically so flavorful. The chicken was dry, the hummus lacked depth, and the rice was bland. That said, the fattoush salad, one of my favorites, was very good, with a delicious dressing. Overall, I can't say I'd return. The prices were quite high for the portions, and the quality didn't meet my expectations. If you're looking for a quick Lebanese meal, this place is a decent option, but don't expect much more than that.
