Wow! Just wow! I am in awe of this establishment. The food was spectacular. I was salivating the whole time. The ambiance and lighting really set an intimate mood for my whole experience. Now, let's talk about our server, Beck. He was so so helpful. He noticed that we needed things before we did most of the time and helped us before we even asked. At one point, I started wondering if Beck had been secretly watching us from behind a plant, waiting for the exact moment I'd think, "I could use another napkin." I briefly considered asking if he could follow me around for the rest of the day and help me in other ways. Overall, 10/10 experience! Honestly I didn't have the highest of hopes but damn it was delicious. I had a chicken kabob and koobedeh pretty sure spelled that one wrong. Hummus and chickpea salad. Garlic feta sauce and chipotle sauce. Would skip chickpea salad next time. Just wasn't exciting. But everything else was absolutely delicious. Was very surprised definitely will be returning. Really enjoyed the food when I stoped by for lunch with coworkers. There's plenty of seating both in and outdoors and everything is quite clean + laid out well. Ordered the pita wrap and I loved the freshness of the ingredients as well as the taste of the harissa sauce. SO GOOD! Chicken was grilled to perfection, lettuce was fresh and crunchy, tomatoes were flavorful, pita was warm and fresh. Just wish the handheld was a bit easier to eat. Edges of the pita didn't even touch so it felt like an open face taco with food falling out. Really messy. Service was good at the register, otherwise it took really long for our food to come out (20min for a few plates?). No big deal, just keep it in mind if you need a quick grab and go. I've seen Luna Grill in almost every major shopping center, but for some reason never tried it until now. We stopped in after watching the very disappointing Niners-Seahawks playoff game. It ended up being our second choice after Silverlake Ramen nearby had a 1-hour wait. I ordered the Cali pita with chicken, which came stuffed with chicken, veggies, pickled onions, feta, and fries, all wrapped nicely in a warm pita. It was served with a side of creamy harissa sauce, which honestly is what made the dish. The sauce had a great kick and was essential to every bite. The pita itself was fresh and warm, and the ingredients tasted fresh overall. My only gripe is the fries inside the pita--I only got about 5-6 pieces and definitely found myself wanting more potato to balance everything out. Overall, a solid and satisfying pita. Service was fine, though it did take a bit longer than expected for a fast-casual spot (around 12-13 minutes). Still a good experience, and I'd come back to try other items. read more

Today we moored our galley at the Irvine Spectrum and marched into Luna Grill to eat like the Hellenes - and we were not disappointed! The service was fast and friendly in a clean spacious environment. My friend ordered the chicken kabob - the best chicken he's ever had (quote). I ordered the Classic Pita with gyro meat - wow! The seasoning and savory flavors mixed with fresh pita bread and veggies, felt like eating in the hall of a king! I came here on a Thursday afternoon with my friend for a late lunch. The staff was incredibly friendly and very accommodating with my allergies. I'm allergic to Roma tomatoes, and unfortunately those are the only tomatoes they use. While that limited a few options, they were still able to accommodate one of the dishes we wanted, which I truly appreciated. The menu is concise but offers great variety, including plant-based and vegan options. I do wish there were more drink choices, but they do have fountain beverages available. There's plenty of seating, booths, tables, and high-top tables inside, plus a covered outdoor patio with heaters. The space is very pleasant, handicap-friendly, and well maintained. The restrooms and dining area were both clean. Now, the food, because that's why you're really here. It was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and clean. The vegetables were grilled to perfection: crunchy, flavorful, and well seasoned. The falafel was honestly to die for and ended up being my favorite. The cabbage was surprisingly tasty, and the sauces... well, Mediterraneans really do know how to sauce better than the rest of the world. Absolutely delicious. After seeing that the wait everywhere else was 50-60 minutes, I gave in. We stopped by Luna Mediterranean Grill and had a solid experience overall. The staff was friendly and helpful from the start, which always sets the tone. The food delivered--my boyfriend ordered the steak kabob with salad and French fries. He gave me some of the steak from his skewer and I was not a fan. It tasted odd but he was hungry so he ate it. The star of that dish was definitely the chipotle sauce that came with the dish. It was savory and delicious (honestly my biggest regret was not taking some home). I went with the grape leaves, which were perfect for a lighter appetite, and paired it with their lemonade--refreshing and not overly sweet. The vibe is definitely more family-friendly and casual rather than a Saturday night date spot, so it's great if you're looking for a relaxed meal without the nightlife energy. Came on a Sunday evening, and Luna Grill was not very busy, although Spectrum was very busy. Service is good, the servers were kind and helpful with extra utensils. Interior decoration is beautiful, as you'd expect at the Spectrum. Beautiful lights, comfortable booths, and plenty of natural lighting. Rarely do I comment on ambiance, but this was really pretty to eat in haha. FAST CASUAL SPOT! Order at the counter, and you pick up your food there as well. No need to tip! That was a nice surprise as I thought it was a sit down kinda spot "Build Your own bowl" Fries, 3 Pita bread, Greek Salad, Chicken ($18, 6/10) - Chicken was kinda dry, they give a couple of small pieces, which wasn't very filling. I was expecting a little bit more for the price. - Salad was wayyy too sour for our liking, even though we only added a small portion of the dressing - Fries were fine and crispy....regular fries - I think the only plus is that they give you 3 dressings! We got the Tzaiziki and Garlic which were both pretty good and helped make up for the dry chicken. It made for a nice dipping sauce for the fries as well Overall, beautiful interior as a nice, clean fast-casual dining option. Pretty overpriced for the portion size and quality of food (dry chicken, maybe get something else), but that's expected at the Spectrum anyways. read more

first time visiting Luna Grill was below expectations. The restaurant was not busy, yet staff seemed unsure about who would take my order. The food felt overpriced at $31 for a just plate and drink?? The rice and bistro beef lacked seasoning, and the hummus had no flavor at all and no olive oil. Only two very small pieces of pita bread were included in a 31$ plate ?? On the positive side, the harissa sauce was excellent and the shrimp was well-prepared. Overall, though, the value and flavor did not match the price. read more
