After shoulder surgery and completing physical therapy, I still had lingering discomfort. Jose quickly identified the areas needing attention. I began with deep tissue massages twice a week, gradually moving to weekly sessions as my pain subsided. The pain is gone but I am continuing with monthly deep tissuemassages for overall wellbeing. Of note: I appreciated Jose taking time following each massage to pinpoint areas of treatment on an anatomical chart and answering all of my questions. In the welcoming area after the massage I was offered cold water or hot tea. My favorite was hibiscus tea with honey served in a dainty cup and saucer--a little zen time before stepping out into the 'real' world! Morning Dew is a stellar experience from start to finish. I started to wash my hands and a man opened the door and literally got an entire glimpse of me, was startled, and shut the door. Wow....im so happy I wasn't using the restroom. That would've been very very awkward and I wouldn't have known how to even handle that moment. I told the man that it was okay, because of course it wasn't his fault, he didn't know..but Jenna, when I asked her about where the restroom was she told me where and told me that I could use the restroom. I think it would've been nice if she told the front desk staff so that way they could keep an eye out for me. The interaction between the man and I was definitely quite loud and so I'm surprised they didn't say anything to me after, like no apology or anything. Once they saw me they motioned me to check out and grabbed payment. I paid my $180 for the prenatal massage plus tipped Jenna $40, because I really did enjoy her service but there's always room for improvement anywhere :) hopefully they take this as a loving critique. I would hate anyone else to get that restroom experience and actually have been using the restroom.... I didn't say much at the end, but I think I was still in shock. I feel like day spas should have more amenities that encourage spending more time outside of just the service times especially at a certain price point. And there's really no set place to get ready like to do your hair and makeup outside of the few changing rooms and bathroom. They usually have this at other spas so surprised they don't have this.
