From the seamless booking of my appointments, to the amazing welcome that greets me when I push the door. The (elevator type) music videos that's projected over the manicure station wall lends such a tranquility to the spa. The smiles and warm energy lets me know I'll not want to leave when my time with them is over. My first appointment I ran ten minutes late because I hadn't factored in how dreadful the traffic was gonna be but I was still immediately paired with the lovely Christina. It was close to Mother's Day and I chose one of their beautifully presented specials, the Milk and Honey. The honey wafted up to me making my experience even more pleasant. No massage chair but I didn't miss it. It's more ritual than pleasure for me with those contraptions anyway. Besides the organic coffee scrub and shea butter was waaaaay better. Christina gave me a shoulder massage to complete my visit. It was deep DEEP. She unlocked parts of me I hadn't realized needed her key. Since then, I've only requested my bestie (in my mind) Christina. She truly makes their specials so much more special. My friends I've introduced to Luna feels the same way I do. I was cut twice during my service. I got Gel-X, paid $200+ and not even a week after I got them done, they started popping off. I called them to let them know and the lady on the phone laughed and said there's nothing that can be done. Save your money! read more

I used to give this 5 stars bc my nails always last forever...but recently I swear they make up a higher price off the top of their heads every time I go in?? First a gel x fill was $90...which is insane. Now they say $100. A fill?? Not even a new set. Idk it's getting harder to justify the pricing here. I'm literally writing this review from the dryer because it was such a great experience. The reviews lead me here and they were right! I did not expect to pay $60 for gel pedicure and get a mid job and a bleeding cuticle. And they tried to sell me upgraded services lol. The lady was very nonchalant about it when I told her it hurt and I had to tell her to press on it to stop the bleeding before proceeding to apply product! I thought that was common sense. Sunday afternoon I got my feet done. Monday night I'm showering and they reopened to bleed again and was painful. Photo shows the toe 2 days after. Hey there Yelpies Update on Luna Nails they went from being my go to nail salon to me looking for a new salon. Unfortunately the quality of the service has declined. My last visit I spent over $125 for a gel manicure and green tea pedicure. It might have been my manicurist was having a bad day but that does work for me. She did an extremely sloppy joy and the gel started chipping a week in. Time to find some place new. I'll be on the lookout. The 3 stars are for atmosphere not the recent service. read more

This is such a lovely nail lounge and you feel so very good when having your pedicure done. My mani lady I believe her name was Liza hopefully I'm right lol. But there very clean and tucked away on Fulton street. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I loved the luxe , calm vibe which made me feel more at ease. I feel I love with the massager they have that's heated by the way!! The wax paraffin, massage with the scrub, and the oil massage was my fave ! Pricing is moderate but ranges up and can be classified as pricey. My pedicure was about 35$ plus tip. Brought it to about 40$. Def will be back soon this review was long over due. read more

After charging additional fee to their regular removal fee for removing my previous gel nail insisting that it was hard gel, the nail tech carelessly and vigorously filed down the gel , the nail and the skin on the finger tip and was even started bleeding . The nail tech proceeded to apply unknown blue solution to 'prevent infection' but she could have prevented infection any all cost had she done better diligent careful work without rushing ( I pay extra ) My fingers got red and sore even during the application and I had to apply Mupirocin once I get home. I hope I don't get serious infection from this. I normally get only pedicures at this type of nail place as I prefer Russian or Japanese gel . I should have known better not to get a foot into this type of establishment. Never going back . read more

I've been here a few times and have been very happy with the service but the last time I went makes me never want to return. I'd go back as long as Amy isn't doing any of my services. She came off tone deaf and rude. Also if I'm paying over $40+ for a pedicure or better last longer than 10 minutes. That sounds like an express pedicure or polish change to me. I was the last person to sit down but first to get up. Ironically everyone was getting a spa pedi. I felt rushed and received a mediocre service. Not a good feeling when you're spending your money. Well.. let me start off with positives! The interior designing of the place is beautiful .. the ambiance is super relaxing and comforting. Now, let's get into the service. I came in with my boyfriend, I received a regular pedicure and he got a clear polish gel mani pedi. I had some acrylic on my toes ... and the first red flag was the 25$ removal charge? They used a non electric nail file and cotton balls soaked in acetone ... moving on. For the actual pedicure, it was standard. They didn't do much cleaning of skin underneath / around the nail but they did give a nice exfoliating scrub. They cut all of my toe nails unevenly and I went for a standard white polish thinking that would be simple enough. The polish came out absolutely TERRIBLE. it looks like i dipped my toes in white out, and my big toe nails are so obviously uneven. The nail polish is also already chipped and it has been less than 4 days since the appointment. My partner had an equally uneventful experience. They did not cut his fingernails properly and left him with them quite long.. to the point where dirt is grime seen still underneath. To top it off, the total for both him and I was 170$ NOT including tip. For the level of service and experience of the nail techs, the "look" of the ambiance is absolutely not worth it. This is an average nail salon, at best! Trendy decor, friendly staff, but mediocre nail work. I took a chance with this nail shop as it boasted great work with natural nails, but I'm sorely disappointed. I only wear my natural nails, never acrylic or hardener. When the nail tech first started working on removing my gel, she immediately stated that I had something else on my nail, which I denied. The tools they use to soak off the gel are the clips that you can buy on Amazon for at home nail care. The nail tech tried scraping off the gel, and dug into my actual nail bed, completely tearing it up. There are dents in my nail bed. Then she filed my nails so thin that they're now bending. She applied a nail hardening gel so that my nails don't break off. I've never had this before, I'll have to cut all my nails off and start regrowing again. The pedicure tech slapped the nail polish on my toes, not very near or tidy. My nails are bumpy, uneven, and poorly shaped. Of course, they hustled me for a tip. Would not recommend if you're very particular about your nails, like me. 2 stars for decor. read more

It is on small easel type boards For instance what would be known as a basic manicure in most space is named a spa manicure here and includes hand scrub and massage The menu most consists of add on or upgrades if you will On my second visit I asked for a receipt to see the total breakdown. This time I choose regular polish instead of gel and guess what Luna nail lounge charges $9 for gel removal as part of their policy. (One is charged even if the gel manicure was done in their establishment. ) And that is when I realized a spa manicure spa pedicure are regular here. Although I don't recall anything special ie foot scrub during the pedicure. Although they looked at me crazy I asked questions, I hate that people act offended when one is concerned . I was satisfied during my first visit but just handed them my money in cash without asking for a receipt. My total spent was also higher at my first visit. I started to say, I can't believe I haven't reviewed this spot yet, but then I remembered my forced hiatus after just a few trips here due to NYC Pause. Well quarantine eventually ended, and I've since been to Luna quite a few times, both for regular manis that last a surprisingly long time, as well as regular and specialty pedicures. Prior to quarantine, I would also get gel manis and they're solid though I prefer gel tips, which are not an option here. Now for my review review. The ambiance is lovely It's very clean and welcoming. Everyone is friendly and the overall vibe is good. I like the specialty pedicures, especially with the right technician. My go to is Doma. She is meticulous with her work and her massage skills are amazing and so appreciated. I once added on a ten minute pedicure and the technician just rubbed my feet. Not Doma. Now I ask specially for her, and since this salon is appointment only anyway, it's a win win. I definitely recommend this spot and since it's so close to my apartment, I'll be back often. This place is absolutely awful. The service is rude and bad and that I can't stand for. I went 10 months ago with my bf and it was pricey for how mid the final results were. But then, I thought why not give it one more shot. It is the closest salon near me. Today I walked in just trying to have gel JUST REMOVED from my fingers and after a 15 minute wait, they told me it would be $35. They said they didn't have the tools (ok get them?), and then told me it was going to be an hour. And the thing is: if they had just been kind about it, I would have probably still asked for the service. But they were not kind. They could have just said "we can't" but instead they embarrassed me after waiting for the that long and kept saying different excuses to convince me to leave on my own. read more

I stumbled upon Luna Nail Lounge looking for a new salon that does good pedicure in Bed-Stuy yesterday and am so glad that I came across Luna Nail Lounge! I walked in about 1:00pm and there was only one other woman in there getting a service so I was immediately seen. I decided to do a regular pedicure, which was $32 and the women in the shop were so warm and nice. They took my jacket, let me pick out a color and immediately asked if i wanted tea or water. I didn't get the name of the woman I had, but she took her time with my pedicure and made small conversation. They even gave me a little massage while I was drying. Knowing they were a new place, I also asked if they had a loyalty program at all because I would surely be coming back. The same is beautifully-decorated, very clean and they have a great deal of colors. They're also having some winter specials on a few of their services like their milk and honey manicure, which is only $25. I've been serviced here twice and I must say it's a run of the mill nail salon. The decor is nice and it appears to be clean however the service is not the best. My first gel mani lifted/chipped within a week but I decided to give them another try. On Friday 8/27, I had an appointment for a gel mani. I arrived a little after 12:30 and the nail bar was full, the mgr told me to sit while she yelled for Maribel to come from the back repeatedly. That was a little off putting but Maribel proceeds to come to the front. Doesnt say much and just starts taking off my gel and gives me a massage. The service so far was decent but then she began to paint them and I noticed the gel polish was thin, had streaks and bubbles. I mentioned it to the nail tech and she suggested adding a 3rd coat. At this point I had 2 coats of polish on my right hand and one coat on my left hand.I told her I didn't like it and adding a 3rd coat was just going to make it thick and bubbly. I mentioned it must be the polish. She did a good job on the actual mani. She calls the mgr over and I let her know how the quality of the polish wasn't good. The mgr agreed it was watery and said she could do it over. I didn't have the time so I had her remove the polish so I could leave and not miss a perishable delivery. She removed the gel polish in a rough manner. Causing tenderness on one of my fingers. The mgr said I could come back later to fix it but after the roughness and having an event to go I told her I wouldn't be back. Although the mgr tried to rectify it i won't be back. They need better quality polish and to stop over working the nail techs and taking every walk in. I left with bare nails, sore nail beds and polish on my fingertips. I wasn't charged full price but was asked if I wanted to leave a tip. Why would I tip for a service I didn't receive? The mani was incomplete. Definitely won't be going back. read more

The price point is the best in Brooklyn for the value and quality - I got the pedi/mani spa combo for $53, the paraffin was so hydrating, the massage, scrubs, creams and utensils were all top notch and clean. Got a pedicure, just the regular one. My nail tech was very efficient and thorough. Looking forward to coming back to try a specialty pedicure and back massage. Came here for the first time the other day for a gel pedicure...First I got removal of my last gel pedicure, which was just regular gel..They don't have any electric drills, so basically the technician was alternating between filing with a regular file, digging hard af at the gel polish, soaking the polish in acetone for less than 5 minutes at a time. I kept telling her that she was hurting me. By the end of the removal my toe nails were visibly damaged from how she was doing this. Next she asks me to put my feet in the water, but I could see debris in a couple other of the bowls so I asked if the bowl had been properly sanitized...She was pretty much ignoring everything I said and just repeating for me to put my feet in...I did it because I wanted to get it over with tbh but I was nervous about how sanitary this was because it did not appear that any of the bowls were being cleaned apart from a quick rinse between services. The finished pedicure was good but it was just generally a really stressful experience....I was going to also have my manicure done but after the removal of my pedi they said I would be charged an additional $30 just for the removal of the gel...which is actually ridiculous. They said it was because they don't have drills...I understand not offering acrylic or hard gel but why do you guys not have basic nail tools? Something about that feels OFF. I definitely would never come back here, the prices in no way reflect the level or service or sanitation that is happening in this place. I walked to a small local spot on Nostrand for my mani, they removed the gel in 15 minutes no problems, pain, or extra charges, and did a perfect gel mani with no issues or misunderstandings, and it was $50 out the door....just saying! read more

Really liked the salon, and everyone was very nice. However the gel set I was seeking and paid 62$ for wasn't executed very well. Firstly, my nails burned ferociously under the UV lamp (i've heard it's due to either 'bad gel' or faulty application), and after it all they turned out incredibly lumpy and uneven. I made an appointment same day, last week Thursday afternoon for a regular mani pedi and a 15 min massage. My nail tech did a great job and I appreciated her attention to detail. She was also still working on me by the time the shop began to close and she still took her time making sure my nails looked great. That means a lot to me! She also did a wonderful job on my massage afterwards. I'm always amazed at how much coverage they can get while you're clothed and laying in the face down chair haha. It was one of the best massages I've gotten at a nail salon and I will be back with no hesitation. They have a range of colors from essie, and they do a great job cleaning your nails and applying the polish that it lasts for weeks.
