You seat yourself and then pay at the front after. We all were feeling burritos, so California burrito and burrito supremes were ordered by everyone. They were MASSIVE! One could easily feed 2, or make one person uncomfortably full. The burrito supreme was more of a smothered burrito, but both equally good. If I lived here, I would definitely return. This little restaurant has big flavor. It is tucked in beside the gas station, so don't be deterred when you drive up. Their loco dip is the best dip I've ever had, and I love Mexican cheese and bean dips. It is so fresh and wonderful. I would happily eat a bowl of just that. I got steak and chicken tacos, and they brought us two different fresh, spicy sauces to put on them like red and green salsa verde type sauces. Both meats were flavored phenomenally, and the tacos were fresh and light. The steak taco was definitely the star though and bursting with flavor! They were out of the Elote, but they still made me some with corn not on the cob. I'm a big fan of Mexican street corn, so I was very happy to still be able to get my corn. All the dishes and sides we had tasted fresh and like they were made from scratch, rich with flavor. Just all around really great food in a cute little restaurant!! Based on other reviews, I'm going to assume we caught the kitchen on an off day. I ordered a Fajita quesadilla, and it was swimming in grease. I ate about half and gave up. It leaked about 3 tablespoons of oil onto the plate, I'd estimate, and it was also very salty. My partner had a burrito and didn't care for the red sauce, but I think that was a matter of personal preference. I would try again if I were in the area based on the good reviews, as the service was excellent and the place looked very clean. read more

Wow! I was a bit nervous about the location being adjacent to a Valero, but I'm SO glad I took a chance. The tacos were bigger than your typical "street" tacos. I ordered 4 tacos (2 pastor and 2 carnitas), but 3 would've been more than enough. The meats were incredibly well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The green sauce was so yummy I wanted to take the whole bottle with me. I also got the elote which I highly recommend! The interior is clean and nicely decorated. And the service was outstanding. Opened about a month ago. Family wanted to wait to go for a month more so new restaurant issues would get worked out. They were glad we didn't. Luna has a diner vibe. order at the front. No alcohol. First off--1 star removed for a couple fountain drinks being out. Also- no free chips and salsa. may be a deal breaker for some. Refreshing for us that we weren't busting at the seams before meal arrived. We were the only ones there so the meal should have arrived quickly. It did. Most Mexican fare in town is good- each restaurant incrementally better or not than the next one. Luna is just better. period. Meals had fresh ingredients prepared with a purpose. Portions were sized so we didn't leave feeling gluttonously guilty. My Chile Rellenos didn't compare to the ones at the Cowgirl Hall of Fame in Santa Fe, NM, but they were the best I've had from Hattiesburg to Atlanta.
