For years, Friday nights meant ending the week here at Cinco de Mayo, and as we're getting ready to move out of state, It's honestly hard to imagine not coming back here every week. Let's start with the margaritas. Their happy hour is hands-down one of the best deals around, and they're always perfectly made. Then come the chips... warm, fresh, homemade, and dangerously addictive. I don't know what they put in that chip seasoning, but it's basically magic dust. Pair those with their perfectly spiced salsa, and I'd happily make a meal out of just that!! And the chorizo queso? I've eaten Mexican food all over the country, and I still haven't found one that comes close. It's rich, cheesy, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely unforgettable. The street tacos are another reason we kept coming back week after week. Juicy, flavorful, piled high with fresh ingredients, and served on soft homemade tortillas that are always incredible. What really makes this place special, though, is the consistency. Every single visit, the food is outstanding, the service is warm and attentive, and you leave happier than when you walked in. I got takeout for their quesadilla rellena, which is basically a chicken quesadilla. I wasn't a huge fan and it was just OK. I'm glad that they added chips and salsa though. Looks like a nice spot and a great area and that I would come back and try something else by the chicken was not juicy and it was more on the dry and lukewarm side. read more

Went in today after lunch so around 1pm, no crowd. Waited a bit to be served, no biggie. The salsa was disgusting but the question was delicious. I ordered a chicken taco salad and it was so disgusting I couldn't eat it, worse than cat food. Waiter didn't ask how anything was cause I'm sure he knew too. Asked if I wanted a to go box, no sir the whole plate is still there, told him I was not happy. So he brought the check, paid my bill and left. Will never return to this establishment. read more

My roommate and I have been here several times. Each time the service has gotten worse. We went today and it took 20 minutes for us to even see our server to ask for a drink menu then another 20 for him to even take our drink and food order. It took around 20 minutes for us to even get our bar drinks. The food was okay, my margarita was not good but the service was terrible. Saw him maybe 3 times during our almost hour we were there. We had to ask another server for our check and Togo boxes. I never got a refill on my water but my roommate got a refill on hers. We were visiting from out of town. The food was pretty good, but the service was lacking. We were seated with a "what do you want" attitude. The sweet tea was not very sweet and tasted like dirty water. We were seated, give drinks, and food in a timely manner, but we had to flag down a server and ask for silverware, twice. There was no wait. We were sat immediately. Our server was very attentive and helpful. The chips and salsa were really tasty. The chips were fresh. I enjoyed my strawberry margarita. The large is pretty large! We ordered the fajitas for two, steak and chicken. It was a huge portion. In my opinion, three to four people could have split it. Beautiful interior, clean and festive. Music playing at an audible level but not too loud. The servers were all smiles and friendly. We were quickly seated and drink orders immediately taken and delivered in a timely manner. Warm, lightly spiced chips and salsa were placed on the table to enjoy while we made up our minds on what to order. We chose the Shrimp enchiladas and fish tacos. Both dishes were delivered to the table within 10 minutes of ordering. Each dish was piping hot. The fish tacos were lightly seasoned, delicate and delisious. The shrimp enchiladas were stuffed full of perfectly cooked, tender shrimp, grilled peppers and soft creamy cheese. The rice was warm and not over cooked. Very reasonably priced. Good portion size. Well, everywhere I go I end up having to try out the Chille Verde dish and I usually end up disappointed. Not this time, tangy tomatillo sauce, quality taste and sized pork underneath. It comes with rice and beans and I always add cheese dip to the rice and beans(just not the pork because the tomatillo sauce needs to be seperate). A side chille relleno was tested, has a nice spice(doesn't come with cheese sauce but doesn't necessarily need it). My girlfriend ordered the chicken tender plate covered with cheese sauce which was on lunch menu, probably wouldn't get that one again but it's more of a children's dish IMO... overall great experience and service, will return after a few treadmill sessions. read more

My wife and I visited this restaurant for a meal. We found the food to be very salty and somewhat soggy. The waiter, I guess thought that he was being funny or smart by asking if we wanted two separate checks. We've been married 43 years, and I don't think we look like we're single. Then when he brought the bill, he handed it to my wife. My wife asked, "why are you handling this to me?" He then handed it to me. I felt like his attitude towards us was kind of flippant. We ordered take-out this evening and after this experience, we won't be back. My husband waited for an extremely long time for the food to be ready and we didn't even get what we ordered. His quesadilla was cold and looked like it had been sitting around for quite sometime before it was boxed. The rice was gummy and had no flavor, nor did the salsa. The salad I ordered was not what I received and was very little food for what was paid. The "fajita" chicken was simply a chicken breast pulled apart with very little seasoning and the peppers and onions were quite bland, as well. We don't typically eat at this restaurant, but our favorite is closed on Sunday and this place is convenient. Next time, we'll drive a little farther into town to get quality Mexican food. read more
