Cheese over chicken with rice and beans

Delicious! LOVED my Birria tacos. Cooked perfectly and excellent sweet savory flavor. Their small margaritas are actually pretty large to me and good. Cheese dip was nice and thick. Their chusma is always a good one to go with when you want a mix of meat and veggies. The chips and salsa are decent but I wasn't gonna take a star away just for that. But I do think they can improve on it compared to other restaurants I've been to. We are regulars here, service is always great.

There are absolutely no shortages of places to eat in Hattiesburg. Some visiting might lean towards safe places with menu items they feel secure and safe with, and there's nothing wrong with that. But, if that's you you're missing out on some amazing food. Today I took my wife for mother's day as they had some special items on their menu, while also keeping their regular menu available. We started with their standard dumpling appetizer. We get it everytime we eat there and they're delicious every time. The meals we picked were the the kimchi cabanara and the shrimp and grits. Both on their special mother's day menu. Both were absolutely delicious with fresh ingrediants, balanced seasonings and amazing flavors. I'm Italian and grew up eating traditional family Sunday dinners but this bowl of pasta was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere of the place is very modern with a combination of traditional asian features mixed with some modern MTV inspired artwork. If you're into craft cocktails they got you covered as well. The only miss we had to day was our server never came back to take our dessert order, when we asked to order it he confused what we said for the bill and brought that instead. Not a deal breaker, we were actually too full for it anyway and we've had their desserts before. They always inventive and delicious. At the end of the day, one small service hiccup wasn't enough to overshadow what was an outstanding meal and experience. In a city packed with chain restaurants and predictable menus, places like this are what make Hattiesburg's food scene worth exploring. If you're willing to step outside your comfort zone a little, you'll be rewarded with creative dishes, quality ingredients, and flavors you'll still be thinking about on the drive home. We'll absolutely be back.

Cocktails were creative and beautifully presented. The food was great - eclectic Asian would be my descriptor. We had the pickled veggies which included kim chi, black garlic, poblanos, pickles, and collards. The assortment was very nice. The pork and shrimp dumplings were a bit firmer than I'm used to, but not in a bad way, and the flavors were excellent. The pot roast egg rolls were a fun mashup. The okra was delicious - perfectly cooked and great balance of flavors. The pork belly buns were my favorite item. Lots of tender, crispy pork on a cloud soft bun. Yum! I will definitely return if in the area.

Our server was great - so personable and friendly - and speedy! Our drinks came out quickly and were soooo good! My boyfriend had the breakfast old fashioned adorned with a crispy slice of bacon! And I had the pineapple jalapeño mimosa (fyi, they even have mimosa flights!) The food was out of this world - I'm not kidding. I barely finish my plate anywhere, but their Downtowner Steak Caesar Salad made the clean-plate-club. It's served with two toasted crostinis which were seasoned well and perfectly crispy. My boyfriend had the grits & grillades - Came out looking so good I had to steal a bite. It was divine! Because everything we tasted had been so delicious, we then had to try dessert so we got the crème brûlée. It was my first time trying it, but I swear I felt like my soul had left my body lol. It was crispy on top, perfectly sweetened and balanced and topped with a dollop of whipped cream and strawberries. Amazing! We absolutely will be back and honestly can't wait until next time. 10/10!

She was friendly, sharp, and knew the menu and the bourbon list like a sommelier who also grew up at in her parent's restaurant/bar. Let's talk about the $34 steak night deal -- I came in expecting "good for the price." What I got was "I'm suspicious this kitchen loves me personally." My steak was cooked absolutely perfectly and seasoned so well I considered hugging the chef. The Caesar salad was crisp and classic, the kind that makes you feel like you're being healthy right before you absolutely abandon that plan. Let's talk about the MVP now -- the sweet potato mash with candied pecans. I would like to publicly apologize to my steak because it was no longer the star of the plate. I would order a full bowl of the sweet potato mash if I could. The Bourbon of the Month (Barrell Dovetail) paired ridiculously well. Smooth, rich, and dangerous -- the kind of pour that convinces you that you've made excellent life decisions. I finished with the king cake bread pudding which was the perfect mic drop to the meal especially on Fat Tuesday. This is hands down the best steakhouse I've found in the city. Great food, great service, great pours, super clean restaurant and bar-- Bourbon on Front is officially a "I am coming back and bringing friends" place.

I ordered the baked spaghetti, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The kind of dish that makes you pause halfway through the first bite and think, "Yep...this was the perfect choice." It tasted completely house-made, rich, comforting, and clearly prepared with the kind of love that usually comes from a kitchen where someone is yelling in Italian. The sauce, the pasta, the baked goodness on top--everything just worked. The wine list was also a pleasant surprise: great selection and very affordable. Nothing makes pasta happier than a good glass of wine that doesn't make your wallet cry. For dessert I went with the limoncello cake. While it wasn't house-made, it was still delicious--light, citrusy, and the perfect way to finish off a very satisfying meal. Here's the real kicker: the entire meal with wine was about $40 with my drink. In a world where mediocre pasta can somehow cost the same as a cell phone bill, this place delivers incredible value. It's not only the best quality Italian food I've found around here, it's easily one of the best meals I've had for the price. Bottom line: great food, great wine, and a price that doesn't require selling family heirlooms. I'll definitely be back.

It complemented the Redfish. The only thing that I would improve on would be the grits. They were a little dry. My husband ordered the pepperoni pizza and Ashley recommended the pepper jelly with it. The lighting is a bit dim for our old eyes but otherwise it has the feel of a pub. We loved that. Our server was very nice and helpful. We ordered the bacon cheddar fries. The fries are like a cottage fries that are then cut into strips. Perfect fry on them. The bacon could have been crispier but great flavor and a good ranch. I had the KPauls pasta. We all enjoyed it. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente. If you love a saucy pasta this isn't for you. It is nice and creamy but not swimming in it. Big plump shrimp that tasted great. Also has chunks of chicken breast and sliced sausage. Uncle Jim got the red beans and rice. Great flavor but barely warm. The catfish is a thicker cut and battered in a coarsely ground corn meal. Aunt Robin had the shrimp and grits. Those were the star of the show. So creamy and incredible flavor. Very generous amount of nice sized shrimp. Mike had the Keg Stand burger. He requested the sauce on the side. It's definitely a unique flavor. Nice soft bun. The meat was grossly over cooked but would have been tasty had it not been so dry. The onion rings that came with the burger were soggy. Overall, enjoyed it. We know what to get next time. Shrimp and grits and KPauls pasta!!

I made a reservation which we were seating in a matter of time less than a minute. We left the restaurant at 8:00. Here's my summary: 1) Ambience - The cross talking is extremely loud and the place was busy. I found it difficult to communicate. Seating is not conducive to privacy with no partitions between customers. My seat was similar to a church bench and no cushion so after 2 hours I was hurting. 2) Food- The crab cake appetizer was very good and came out in a reasonable time. The main course, me having the Salmon and my wife having the baked chicken took a long time with apologies from our waitress for the kitchen being backed up. You see, the triple tail fish is what my wife wanted from the menu and was told "the triple tail did not meet the chief's standards and they were subbing the Red fish" so why have the triple tail on the menu? My wife settled for the "airline chicken" and partly good and then closer to the bone partly undercooked. 3) Service was fine. 4) Price- No need to discuss price if you plan to go here- this shouldn't be your concern.
