I've had teeth cleanings and a filling repaired, and they've always been gentle and considerate. The parking is easy too :). I moved to One Dental over a year ago when my longtime dentist Dr. Ravizza retired and his new replacements suddenly recommended multiple fillings and even a crown, despite me never having issues before. That didn't sit right with me, which is what led me here--and I'm glad it did. They confirmed that I didn't need that work.

In March, I made an appointment for May 28th as a first time client. Shortly after scheduling, I received a text asking if I'd be interested in an opening sooner to which I replied yes. I provided my availability and stated I was flexible and could come most afternoons. I received a reply shortly after asking if I'd like to come the next day for a morning appt. Um no. I had already clearly stated I could do AFTERNOONS. Two weeks later I get a call and then a text asking if I'd like to be added to the "ASAP list". I thought I already was?! I was contacted AGAIN a few days later asking about my availability. How many times do I have to spell out I can come in the afternoons?! By this point, they're too much and I ask that they take me off the list. It's too much communication. May 27th comes along and I realize I've received no communication about my appointment on the 28th. I text them to find out they canceled my appointment. I NEVER told them to cancel my appointment. I simply didn't want to be constantly bothered about their "ASAP list". It's really unacceptable that they canceled an appointment I waited almost 3 months for. I was really hoping to have a good dentist 5 minutes from my house but no such luck. I was not interested in rescheduling as I completely lost trust in this office.

If you're someone who has dental anxiety, or you've put off going to the dentist for years because…read moreyou're scared, embarrassed, or worried about being judged, this review is for you. I had excellent dental care growing up until I was about 14, but I also had a traumatic experience as a child when I flipped over my bike, knocked several teeth out, and had to be strapped into a chair while a dentist worked on them. That experience stayed with me. After my parents divorced, going to the dentist stopped being a priority, and despite brushing my teeth every day, I avoided dental visits for years. Eventually, I started having tooth pain and assumed I had one bad tooth. It turned out I needed two root canals and multiple fillings. To say I was terrified would be an understatement. One of the biggest fears about returning to the dentist after a long time is the feeling that you'll be judged. Dr. French completely erased that fear. She has been nothing but kind, compassionate, and genuinely caring from day one. She's the type of person who instantly makes you feel comfortable, and honestly, she's just an incredibly cool person. The hygienists and the rest of the staff are just as wonderful. Every single person in the office is warm, welcoming, and makes you feel like they genuinely care about you. The office itself is beautiful and has such a calming atmosphere. Then there's the fear of pain. I can honestly say I experienced virtually none. Dr. French referred me to Dr. Baines at San Jose Endodontics for my root canals, and I couldn't have asked for a better referral. Both root canals were completely painless. They prescribed ibuprofen afterward, and I never even needed it. Back at Willow Glen Dental, I was also genuinely impressed by how much they've invested in technology. It's not just a beautiful office--it feels like they've made a real commitment to giving patients the best experience possible. After my root canals, they digitally scanned my teeth, designed my crowns, and milled them right there in the office. I took about an hour to an hour-and-a-half break, came back, and had both permanent crowns placed that same day. No temporary crowns. No waiting weeks. As someone who hadn't been to the dentist in years, I had no idea dentistry had come this far, and it made the entire process incredibly convenient. The same was true for my fillings and every other procedure I've had. Throughout every appointment, the team made sure I was comfortable, answered every question, and never rushed me. Yesterday I finished the restorative portion of my treatment plan after about a year and a half of care. Dr. French joked, "Last round!" and then laughed that I was probably tired of seeing them. I surprised myself with my response: "Honestly... I used to have really bad dental anxiety, and now I don't." And I truly meant it. That's one of the greatest gifts this office has given me. They didn't just fix my teeth--they completely changed how I feel about going to the dentist. I never thought I'd be someone who could walk into a dental appointment feeling relaxed, but that's exactly how I feel now. I've already recommended Willow Glen Dental and Dr. French to several friends, and I'll continue recommending them to anyone who asks. (Just don't book Dr. French too solid--I still need my appointments! ) As long as I live in the Bay Area, this is where I'll be coming for my dental care. Dr. French is nothing short of amazing. I don't know what kind of magic she works, but she's incredible. Thank you, Dr. French, Dr. Baines, and the entire Willow Glen Dental team for giving me back not only my smile, but my confidence and peace of mind. 10/10. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

I waited no more than five minutes before being called in by the dental hygienist. She struck up great conversation and made me feel very comfortable as she cleaned my teeth. The facility is brand new, very clean, and very well run. If you're looking for a new dentist, look no further than Willow Glen Dental!

He had been such a good doctor all along. Initially I was a bit skeptical when I was assigned Dr. Tien M. Tran. However, within a short time I felt that I was blessed to have him as my attending dentist. Dr. Tran was not only meticulous in his work, but I would dare say a perfectionist. I also found him to be a good listener, very gentle and patient, while doing his best to understand my emergency needs. The above is from my first encounter with him. I hope I would be able to have him as my dentist for all my future visits there- - - - no matter how long I may have to wait for my next appointment. She didn't even talk or introduce herself in the beginning, just started cleaning. She was working by herself, no assistant. The way she talk to me about my teeth was so insulting. It's sad that some vietnamese people are so blunt. Let's just say that was the most painful dentist experience ever. It was hell! I thought my old dentist was horrible but this was on another level. It shouldn't have hurt that bad. Afterward, they said I need a deep clean. Obviously they didn't pay attention to what I said. I got tartar on my teeth because of a mouthwash that I had to use after the removal of 4 wisdom teeth. The bottle even said there would be tartar build up. I think i'll go back to my old dentist, at least they care enough to have 2 ppl working on me and introducing themselves.

Everyone is very friendly and the office is super clean. They are quick to take you back and get you roomed when you arrive and they have TVs for you to watch during your appointment. They are thorough and do a great job with assessment and cleanings. I was very pleased when Dr. Dong offered me some cosmetic procedures that I had previously asked other dentists about but had blown me off saying it was nothing to worry about. He takes his time to explain everything to you but it did not feel like an upsell, but rather offering a way to help. It's not just the basics here which is great! It's nice that this office offers both dental and orthodontics, especially for families with kiddos. Definitely give them a try!
