Let me start by saying that I am posting this review to show people what really happens at this shop. First off there were only 2 people at the shop, Mogo and Kash. My sister, our friend and I had appointments at 11:30 to go get tattoos here. They got there before me, once I arrived I was greeted kindly but it felt off. I stated that I didn't want a tattoo and Mogo I believe his name was, wouldn't let it go. Thats cool, he's trying to make his money, nothing but respect.
But you know what's not respectful? Taking smoke breaks every 5 minutes or touching someone without permission. Having them wait forever for a 6 inch tattoo.
Let's start with the tattoo.
We got there before 11pm and didn't even leave the shop until after 3 am. Our family friend that was with us put a review in on here already about how she did not like his service and he's trying to lie on the experience like he was not unprofessional. I dont know if he was Calling us drunk and incoherent in his post or another client that came in drunk? Either way that client came in at the end so it really had nothing to do with us. It didnt make much sense. Half his statement is one run on sentence with lack of punctuation.
He took 15 smoke breaks while she was laying on the bed, mind you, it was a six inch tattoo. Just lettering. He stopped to set up another client WHILE she was on the table STILL WAITING to be started. We had already been there over an hour by then. Reminder we got there before 11. She didn't get started til after midnight and wasnt done until 1:30 in the morning. He brought the other client into the room WITH a cigarette in his hand, while still wearing gloves.
Let's get into hygiene. These smoke breaks, were often taken with the gloves on. I didnt get a tattoo and I spent my time walking back and forth to check on my sister and our friend. He did not wash wash his hands once. Not once. He changed gloves sometimes but never did he wash his hands. I'm a chef and hygiene in the kitchen is everything. You can get someone sick off of not changing your gloves. That's a whole lot of nasty right there. I get that it's not the same as a kitchen but an open wound is an open wound.
There was also a dog there that was brought out near the end. Idk about you guys, but it throws me off to see a dog or animal anywhere near an open wound or exposed skin. Especially one that can be easily infected.
NOW, to him not asking permission to touch. He is mad off putting and inappropriate. He came and put his hands under my sisters armpit and tickled her while she was getting tattooed. She was already super uncomfortable and that made things worse. We had even shit the door to kind of deter him from coming in. I was standing over her to block him out the way and he still came right on over. Sometimes in uncomfortable situations women don't say anything but we just try and avoid and hope it goes away. Especially in this situation, it's a sensitive matter when my sister was still being tattooed. I didnt want to cause an issue and it make things worse.
Now I don't want to end on a bad note. There id one redeeming quality about that shop and that's Kash. That women is pure fire. The way she executed my sisters tattoo was nothing but amazing. It is beautiful. She's kind and understanding. If you do choose to go to the shop, pick her. She will get you right everytime. She is worth the money, he is not. I'd just stay away from the owner. read more
