I have hosted a website on Lunarpages for years and have been very happy with site performance. However, yesterday, my ftp speeds into my site dropped to almost 0 Mbps. I waited for the problem to clear and since my download from my site was normal, I automatically assumed a problem at my Lunarpages serivce. I submitted a problem to Lunapages to see if there were any issues with my server. Lunarpages support got back to me via email requesting additional supporting infomration, including a tracert. After running the tracert, it became immediate clear that the problem was with my ISP or my end. I really appreciate the good support tips and timely response from the Lunarpages team. Full 5 stars for support. And next time I see a problem I will do the diagnostics your team requested before filing a trouble report. Thank-you for the support - it is much appreciated. read more

Lunarpages has some of the worst customer support in the web hosting industry. I must warn against using their services, there are other companies out there with superior service and cheaper costs. I have been a customer of Lunarpages for many years, using a https certificate for my web business. They had sent the notification that the certificate needs to be renewed to an old email address. Hence I was not aware. They never called me at any point in time. When I finally saw the email and submitted my credit card for payment of the renewal. I had been told, I had to wait for an undetermined amount of time until the certificate can be installed. In the meantime, every customer of my website had to see a browser error stating: "beware, certificate had expired .....". Of course most customers would not proceed and stop buying. So my business just stopped. When I sent another email to support@lunarpages. com, I was told that my support ticket to get the certificate replaced goes back to the beginning of the queue ! In other words, Lunarpages would penalize any attempt to communicate to support ! When you call the technical support number at lunarpages, you have to wait for a long time, seems like hours. Then a call center answered, stating that they do not know when the certificate will be installed ! When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told that there is no supervisor ! So I asked to be called back by someone higher up. Then someone called me back. He said that he is the liaison with the https certificate provider. There is nothing he could do, he said, my ticket is going to wait for 100s others who are in the queue. Apparently, since October 2012, Lunarpages had not been able to renew https certificate ! When I asked, what if I want to buy my own certificate else where. Lunarpages person said that I cannot. Because I have to wait for a CSR from Lunarpages. This CSR will come when all the 100s others are served. So at an undetermined time ! With another solution provider the certificate could have been done in minutes. With lunarpages, there is no solution, no way out, just wait until you get the mercy of the lunarpages person to install it. When ? Nobody knows. Hopefully in a matter of days, but no commitment whatsoever. What kind of service is this ? read more

Lunarpages used to be a great company with great tech support, where you could get results on an issue very quickly. Now, it seems like it's the CS reps' job is actually to stall you and prevent you from getting resource-sucking services like tech support. So here's what it's like getting customer support. You email "support" with an issue, and a ticket may or may not be generated. You may get no response at all. But when they do respond they deny the problem. Then you email back saying the response is insufficient and nothing happens, because they've already closed the ticket. So, file a ticket directly through their website. Same thing. Call them, and wait on hold for 30 - 120 minutes and you get some guy that insists that his servers are all okay, and therefore you must be mistaken. He seems to have no ability (or willingness) to investigate anything that could cause the problem, outside his server logs. Part of the crisis here is that I was transitioning away from Lunarpages and my access was cut before my contract was up (seems their firewall will block you if you download too much at once). They ignore/deny my requests for days until the contract is up, and then refuse to cooperate to identify a problem on their end that would confirm that they failed to satisfy the contract. I found a way around customer service and escalated directly to senior management. This actually generated a support ticket, but then my access to customer support was blocked, via access to the ticket system and even the phone system (probably email as well). It seems that management is definitely, definitely not available. What do you make of this? I think Lunarpages has made a financial decision to stop spending money on reckless things like customer satisfaction and reputation. I have been with this company for over 13 years and over the last year I have become increasingly disappointed by their service. They shut down my accounts on many occassions due to issues that I have no control over and with no notice and they do it on a friday afternoon with no access to their support to fix it is as they are unavailable over the weekends. When I finally spoke with a manager this last round of issues, he belittled me, told me it was all my fault and even had the audacity to say "I think you should be pleased that you are only having issues now after all of the years of service with us." and this was a supervisor, who basically told me that even though the technicians I had spoken with previously who had told me they had fixed the issue, that this was not something they are capable of handling and that I was on my own and my site will be shut down until I can figure out how to fix it. By the time I finished dealing with the last supervisor I was beyond upset and disappointed as I have been with them for so long and referred them to dozens of clients over the years. I have had it, and I am a very low maintanence, patient person, so it takes a lot for me to get to this point. I would HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ever signing up for their service, and urge you to go ANYWHERE else. read more

2 multi-hour (6+) outages in less than 6 months due to "fiber cuts". So, no network redundancy at all to hosting sites: they are apparently too cheap to do it right. Customer support totally non-communicative. Absolutely stay away from this hosting provider. read more

I use Lunar exchange for my email for my business. I had to call late Sunday evening because my login password was not working. It turns out a system change made my password Null and void. The guy that answered the phone and had to walk me through the process was incredibly friendly and patient and made what could've been a very frustrating experience actually enjoyable. Hewas helpful and the problem is solved. I'm not even a customer, one of my clients is, and when we had a communication error one of their techs, AJ, called my office to get in touch with our IT team. I do not have the information he needed so I transferred him to my boss but he was busy so AJ had to leave a message. 2 hours later AJ calls back and I informed him that I was very sorry but my boss has been handling a client issue all day and may not get back to him until tomorrow. Guess what AJ does? He proceeds to give me attitude and lecture me about the gravity of the situation that my client cannot contact me via email. Yes, thank you, I am aware that it is inconvenient but it has been happening for weeks and my client JUST called you yesterday so apparently it's not THAT dire so how dare you lecture me and give me attitude about something that is beyond my control. So now, a small problem that is not at all time sensitive has to be made into a large problem that is immediate thanks to one jerk. Needless to say, I was so mad that I have contacted ADD2NET's headquarters to file a complaint, and informed my client of the behavior. Nice customer service. read more

Have been with this firm (and before that SB Web Hosting) for 10+ years. Rarely have had any down time. Website has been down today for 7 hours now and tech support has not even responded to my trouble ticket...terrible response time. This may not be the web host for you if you rely on the mail service that comes with the domain hosting. read more

yes I've had issues with lunar pages but mostly my fault, credit cards change and i don't read emails for billing and my site and emails go down, I read people complaints i pay 6.90 a month cant complain about that and i cant tell if my site is slow like some people complain about theirs but as a whole pretty happy read more

If I could give a zero star rating I would, I have (Soon to be HAD) a dedicated server service. I was told by the sales people that dedicated users get top technical support, amongst other promises. Worked ok for awhile, but then they wanted me to move to their cloud, which I did not want my site on any cloud, more money, quite a lot more. So they installed some software that took up about 90% of my disk space (My thinking was I would need more space and thus move to the cloud), which they would NOT remove. So I removed the software myself and my space usage dropped back down to about 10-25% usage, thanks for the great service. Then because the card I was charging their service on had less than 2 months before it expired, they canceled the site and it was down for 2 days until I changed the account billing, this WITHOUT any prior notice, again, an attempt to get me to go to their cloud, an increase of about $20-$30 month. Since my site is non profit, I can't afford that. The above nightmares are just 2 of the examples of the poor account handling and technical support I've received over the last year. I would NOT recommend LunarPages to ANYONE, you have been warned. I hate venting like this, if they just would have kept their promises to me, I would not post this kind if review about their services and support. read more
