The best poke and sushi I've ever had from a grocery store. The chef that makes it is so nice and such a sweet soul. One day I came in and he was in the process of making a poke bowl and I waited, after five minutes, he came up to me and gave me the bowl! Genuinely so thankful and happy! The poke is so good, perfect amount of flavor paired with the fish! Just the best, will always come back for the poke. And it's so cool to see how it's made live, the chefs are set up behind the sushi station and it is so nice. read more

I came here today because I needed a half gallon of organic milk and just that. I was looking for a specific brand, etc. and was not able to find it. A person stocking the fridge case on the opposite side of the aisle said, "you look like you are looking for something. Can I help?" I was almost stunned. I mumbled something about milk and waved my hands around a bunch. She said she would look around in the back as a couple of the shelves were empty. She came back with 2 different options for me. I really appreciated her going the extra mile for me. It really meant a lot. Aside from that, I am not sure I have ever been in one of these market before. Very fancy - the aisles are carpeted. Went in to Lunds for the sole purpose of finding one of those Killer Brownies I have been hearing about. My brother was also in search of some "flaked salt". So, we ventured inside. For 8pm on a Friday, it was pretty typically quiet which is fine. We found the salt pretty quickly and my brother was excited as he can never find this kind of salt anywhere. A little pricey ($10 for the small container) but that is to be expected. Now for the main event, we went to the bakery. I didn't know that these brownies were refrigerated so I walked up and down the bakery section for awhile but ended up finding them after some searching. There was a staff member in the bakery doing something but didn't ask us if we needed help, which was fine as they seemed to be busy anyway. But, after we found the brownies we made our way to the front of the store. The checkout lanes are super confusing. I had no idea where to go, so I instead opted for the self check out. read more

I love you Lunds and Byerlys..but my expierence with Big Bowl on Monday at lunch time left a bad taste in my mouth... I don't usually expierecnce this with your company so that is why am writing today. A simple encounter to order at Big Bowl and I was approched ( not really welcomed) by a male server who was gruf and short with me. He seemed disturbed with just about everything that was happenng from grumbeling the entire time under his breath which seemed to be work related and then when I asked for some sauces he gruffly state they are "in there" and the soy sauce was but not the mustard which I really wanted was not. Any way, I hope his day got better but I was dissapointed in his attitude and think he could do better for your usually outstanding service organization. read more

Online shopping and delivery is a joke. The operation is totally mickey mouse. My groceries arrived an hour late, and any effort I made to track down what happened to them, what store they came from, and who was responsible for bringing them to me was futile. Completely frustrating experience. Shop elsewhere with someone who knows what they're doing, or who can at least answer your questions when they mess something up. read more

This is the third Linds and Byerlys store that I have used as my go to grocery store. I was a regular customer at the store on France Avenue in Edina for many years until they rebuilt the store and I found the new layout unacceptable. I switched to the Lunds and Byerlys on Penn Avenue in Richfield as they maintained the traditional supermarket layout. However recently they reduced the size of the produce department with a concomitant reduction in quality. Fresh veggies are an important part of our diet so I switched again to the Lunds and Byerlys store at 50th and France in Edina. They still have a reasonable produce department and stock some more upscale items missing at the Penn Avenue store. For example I found duck which I had never seen at Penn Avenue. The square footage in this store isn't as large as Penn Avenue and navigating the aisles with other carts can be a challenge at times. Parking can be tight and traffic congested. However, all in all I am satisfied. Hope they keep their current layout or I may be driven to Kowalskis or Whole Foods I just reduced the number of stars by two. The quality of the produce is dismal, the variety and service in the butcher shop leaves a lot to be desired, and service in the deli is often substandard. Just went to Linden Hills Co-op nearby and was blown away. I may return to Lunds Byerley for some items but I can see that Linden Hills Co-op will be my new go to for my weekly grocery shopping. read more

My wife and I entered Lund's and there was a plethora of fresh and lots of organic produce right when you walk in. This is after you pass by a comfy looking Caribou Coffee off to the right. Towards the back of the store is an awesome looking butcher and fish department. There were tons of Crab Legs and Lobster tails, along with lots of specialties like bacon wrapped tenderloins and tons of Salmon. My favorite. They also had lobster tails and calamari to add to the fun. Next to the butcher is a wonderful bakery with lots of chocolate specialties and great looking bread. My wife and I were thinking of all the great sandwiches we could make with the awesome looking rolls. The freezer section housed lots of organic foods and unique stuff you don't see in your local Cub. Then around the bend you come to the Big Bowl section that has lots of greasy looking Chinese food, but it looked good. They also have an phenomenal salad bar with lots of olives and some marinated garlic that looked like candy. They also have many rotisserie chickens and homemade soups available. They looked fantastic. Along those lines are a huge selection hummus and lots of Greek yogurt, which my wife thought was pretty cool. Every aisle we went down, we were in awe of all the cool stuff they had in stock. The thing is, they are way expensive. That is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 star. And then I turned the corner, I saw the light. The Rooster was calling my name...Sriracha...Sriracha...Sriracha...My boss has said this is a staple in his home and now I get the chance to try it. Hot sauce is my love, and now I get to try the supposed king. Life is good. When we checked out, the service was great. A solid store. read more

I asked the manager last Sunday afternoon about General Mills' Raisin Nut Bran. It hasn't been available at this store for some time. She told me Lunds no longer carries it. Seems like a popular cereal--and local--so this was a surprise. I am now shopping at a different store. read more

If you find yourself on 50th in Southwest, just keep on going and you'll be in Edina, and at the famous corner of 50th and France you'll be in a really cool strip mall with Lunds at the center. I love this one, the Caribou is right in the place to the right as you enter, and so are the bathrooms. There is always some kind of sale going on. Always on soda, but I got a good one if you buy 3 pints of sherbert. It was the day after Easter, so all the candy was up front, I was pretty restrained with just a pack of marshmellow chicks. I got some info that they carry artisan greens, and have a good relationship with the farmers. It always looks fresh. I don't know if all stores carry marshmellow Fluff, but Lunds does, and it's great in hot chocolate. They may still have Passover items left. read more

My wife and I frequently pick-up food from the Big Bowl location here and haven't had any issues until this week. I've been dealing with food poisoning for 36+ hours and earlier today my wife's food poisoning was so bad that we brought her into the ER. She is 12 weeks pregnant so food poisoning can lead to miscarriage. I will be contacting the location specifically but heads up to all that order Big Bowl from this location that their food might not be fully cooked. read more

Okay, it's Lund's, and it's Edina. But, they have decent prices, and a lot of their items are very high quality. Their produce is killer good. I found awesome heirloom tomatoes today--the first heirloom tomatoes I've seen this year. Overall, I'll keep coming back. There's always something cool here. read more

The bakery here is amazing and the chef catered to me soooo amazingly! I had called almost about every location around the metro state area and this location had my cake that i so wanted to get for my fathers birthday! The passionfruit cake was delicious and was made/decorated correctly! The cake is supposed to be filled on top with a happiness arch/pile of berries and im glad this chef did it correctly and perfectly! Thank you so so much for the amazing cake! The amount of times I've been to this grocery store in my 28 years on this Earth couldn't possibly be counted. The renovations threw me off at first, but I'm very impressed with the decisions Lunds' made to change with the times rather than fade away and close down. The fresh stuff is great, the sushi chefs are impressive for being landlocked by a solid 1500 miles on all sides, and the prices are decent enough. Lots of love for Lund's, always. read more
