Great local breakfast and lunch spot. Tasty sandwiches and large breakfast platters. I didn't get pictures too busy visiting and eating! Our server was on the ball and had great information about the area. The decor was definitely New England and daily specials menu.

Service was friendly and fast, food was delicious. Diner is small but very clean. Was driving through and stopped in for a late breakfast. I'm so happy I did. I had the bacon avocado skillet definitely filling and I must say if I had this in NY it would be way more money. My bacon and eggs were cooked to perfection, coffee was great. If I'm ever driving thru here again I will definitely stop by again.

The food presentation was great. The service received was fast, the waitress was nice and very attentive. Definitely cozy vibes. Will be going back again!

Actually a 4.5 as it is consistently very good. my friend and I are weekly regulars for the past several years. Brenda and Tammy are the best waitresses! The California omelette is my go to choice, but the breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich on fresh biscuits and corned beef hash are also delicious. we were concerned when the restaurant changed owners but we're happy to report the food is as good (and maybe even better) than before. it's got a nice vibe in the early morning and the tables are well spaced. clean and kept at a comfortable temperature year round. My only suggestion for improvement would be the hash browns could be diced smaller and be a bit crispier.

Woke up at 6:45 and the start of my vacation and was craving their two eggs plate. Drove down and had one of the best breakfasts I've had their. The home fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned, two eggs sunny side up per usual, toast w buttah and the best bacon in the area nice and crispy. Being in a heat wave of course 3 cups of water w coffee. Always great service. Sat at their little three seater bar and food was out less than 5 minutes after ordering. Hit the spot. Best diner around and best prices around.

After having become a every-weekend-regular at the Lunenburg Diner, I felt a little silly that I hadn't left a review yet. Tl;Dr: affordable, delicious, kind staff, consistent, fast service and wait times To begin, the place is a diner through and through. They are more than willing to move tables for different sized parties, accommodate as they need to, and offer a short bar side seating as well, all within one cozy location. Sometimes parking can be a bit tricky, but if you do not come here at peak times you won't have any trouble. In the case that you do have to wait for a table, my usual experience with 2 people waiting for a table around 10 am on a Saturday or Sunday is about 15 minutes. Waiting here can be a little tricky with limited seating, but people are always kind about needing to wait. The ambiance is what I'd hope to find in a place like this: it's simple and cozy. I know some folks love a diner with lots of decor and character, which this place has, but I never feel like I'm overwhelmed by too much decor or noise or anything like that. But let's get to the real reason anyone checks one of these reviews: the food. Put simply, it's great and it's consistent. All the staples you'd expect are there, alongside some classic-adjacent additions like their skillet options (they put a bunch of breakfast goodies into a skillet) or their large variety of eggs Benedict and omelette options. I find their menu to have just enough variety to allow you to try something different each time, but not so much that the quality might decrease. I find the food is always to my liking, perfectly cooked, hot, seasoned, etc. so I have little else to add to that point. I find I usually go for their breakfast bagel sandwiches since they're always the perfect portion and exactly what you'd want from a breakfast sandwich. My partner and I usually split a French toast option and grab some hash browns, and my partner is a big fan of the biscuits and gravy there. Portion sizes are never an issue. (Lastly, if you like hot sauce PLEASE do yourself a favor and try their homemade sauce) I've been here for lunch a couple times (do note they don't serve lunch on Sundays due to the busy morning, as of the date of this review) and I found it to all be agreeable as well. I've had their Reuben sandwich and fish sandwich and both were exactly what you'd expect. Lastly, their staff are always kind and considerate. I know too often a diner that's packed to the gills can lead to some grumpy wait staff, which I can't blame them for that, but everyone at this place seems to be very friendly each time I come in. My partner and I usually try out new places each weekend, but the Lunenburg Diner will always be in the weekly rotation. Do yourself a favor and give them a shot.

Their huge 275-seat event space was packed at tables for 4 to 8, for the two 1-hour sets of Live Dead & Brothers Band, an Allman Brothers - Grateful Dead group of legacy musicians from those bands and families!!! An authentic rockin' performance! They opened hot, with Feelin' Alright and Truckin', and ended hot with Midnight Rider, Ramblin' Man, and Jessica, with around 14 more between. The acoustics were excellent at our table, and we also took up our share of the crowded dance area :-) Their tour continues at least through Dec 2026. Our tickets were about $50 each. Service was fast and friendly, and they let us pull up one more chair for our group of nine. You can get crafted beers and cocktails. We settled in with ice cold regional beers, which honestly are just as distinctive as fancy craft beers. We got some food to share off their "concert menu", too. An entrée-size dish of rich creamy homemade Mac & Cheese, made with tasty aged Grafton Cheddar, soft slightly-al-dente curly Cavatappi pasta tubes, not-overcooked green beans, as i recall, crisply crusted with lightly-maple breadcrumbs. Very flavorful and satisfying. A sweet fresh bright Autumn Salad of greens, pecans, and bright beets, in tart vinaigrette. And juicy "Bull Run Classic" burgers with crisp lettuce, tasty firm tomato, mildly-sharp red onion, and, for one of them, an add-on of rich cheddar, all on a cloud-like brioche bun. They do ask for $20 per person food/beverage minimum for all shows, essentially an entree or a couple beverages each. That's about what we had planned to order anyway :-) This place knocked us out with their dedication to farm-to-table ingredients, sourced from more than 25 regional farms named on the dinner menu. We've never seem such an extensive list of the actual sources. Very cool! The Bull Run has been a tavern since 1741, named after the Battle of Bull Run in 1861, (or in another version, named for a brawl in the tavern at the same time :-), and has been run by the Guercios extended-family since 1946. It was a stop on the stagecoach route and a gathering place for the Revolutionary war. We loved the original wood, structure, and décor. The fireplaces were lovely. It's a huge venue. Bull Run has live music every week, and they're open Wed-Sun, but watch their schedule because dates vary, sometimes one day that week, sometimes all four! This show was in their 275-seat room. There's at least one larger room for around 400. Theres a little parking along Rt 2A, and much more out back across the covered bridge. Dont be put off by the rustic exterior. We loved this legendary performance at a legendary restaurant!

My review is no reflection on the atmosphere or waitstaff... strictly the food. Our appetizers were pretty good... calamari and escargot... nothing special, but, acceptable. After that.. things went way downhill. Two of us, ordered the veal parm. It was served on a piping hot plate, however, I can assure you, this was not made to order. The veal cutlet was clearly cooked hours before as it was barely lukewarm warm in Temperature and the breading was not one bit, crispy. It was soggy. Not made to order! It was served over a bed of "angel hair." The angel hair was cut up in multiple small pieces... the way you would serve it to a baby experiencing pasta for the first time. I asked our waitress "why is the pasta all cut up like this?" She responded: "I don't know." Not only was it cut up into pieces...(who does that? ) it was also soggy and way overcooked. The meal was a huge disappointment. My other dining companion ordered the fried pork chop which was a special. It wasn't too bad... he reported it was tender... it came with mash and a side of corn that looked like it came straight out of a can of Delmonte. No frills there. It was clearly canned corn. My sister got the cavatappi pasta that came with shrimp ; cannellini beans and a veg mixed in and it was swimming in a sub-par sauce that was lacking in any seasoning. All the entrees lacked basic seasoning. I want to go to a restaurant where my dish is made to order. Hot and crispy cutlets; Al Dente pasta; corn that's not poured out of a tin can and entrees that are served hot! This place has gone way downhill. I was there several years ago my experience was very different. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant and it certainly wasn't worth the $300 dollars (including tip) that we paid. Entrees were 30 + dollars each! What a joke to be charging those prices for the sub-standard food we were served. We will never go back. On a Positive note, my sister was given a lovely birthday dessert plate of sticky toffee pudding and ice cream.

Today I woke up earlier than usual and I didn't feel like waiting for my usual lunch places to open up and I searched around and found this place. The Savory Skillet is a great name that makes me think I'm about to eat something delicious. Located on Summer St, Fitchburg and basically across the street from the TD Bank, this place is very easy to get to regardless of the time of day and and it has a very spacious parking lot surrounding the building. From quickly checking Satellite view, there's a generous ~30 spots to choose from. Fantastic! Upon entering, you get the usual cozy, very busy vibe of a breakfast diner. Dozens of voices overlapping one another and waitresses power walking everywhere trying to keep up with orders. This is why wife's first time in an American breakfast diner too, so it was cool to see her reaction. Staff were quick and polite and they checked up on us when we were about halfway through the meal. Perfect. I hate it when waitresses ask when I've hardly taken two bites. I'll be honest, the biggest draw for me to this location was that Yelp had a very pitiful variety of food pictures. I want to change that. Eggs Cortec ; under the Benedict Specials section ; Full Plate size ; subbed the home fries for hash browns ; Oh my lord, everything was cooked to PERFECTION. Eggs were jammy, the English muffins were delicately crispy, the sausage was not dry, and the hash browns were awesome and crunchy. The hollandaise was delicious as well and I devoured by my plate. 10/10. Holy Cannoli ; under the Belgian Waffles section ; this one was a winner too. The waffle was crispy and the inside was still fluffy. The whipped cream over the Italian cream was a really good combination that wasn't overly sweet. Wifey has a small appetite so we both ate half of it and enjoyed this a lot! I might need to reconsider my stance on getting breakfast. I left this place with a full stomach and EXTREMELY satisfied.
