This is not a diet breakfast (although it can be), The sausage gravy on biscuit is one of many of the great foods that cannot be found anywhere else. The ambiance is terrific!!!!! I don't think it really needs to be said; but the Eggs Benedict is worth the trip alone. Add in the atmosphere and great service, and this place is a must visit!! The service here is fast and friendly - and they handle all kinds of groups well (whether your alone, with your spouse or with a group of friends / family). They are consistent with checking on you but don't overdo it. The place definitely has that nice "community" feel and they make you feel at home. The portions are very good - I rarely finish everything I've ordered. The obvious gem on the menu (although there are plenty of good options) is the Eggs Benedict. They make their own Hollandaise sauce in house... and my goodness you can tell. It's so fresh, rich and flavorful. It will keep you coming back for more for sure - especially if you're a fan of Benedicts. Overall a great breakfast, brunch and lunch spot in a nice location with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Came here with a friend for the first time after driving by countless of times. We had to wait for a little bit to grab seats but nothing unexpected for a weekend morning. The menu has such a huge variety. It was hard to chose one option. I went for the omelette and was very shocked to receive my receipt after as no where was it listed that the items you add would cost extra. We were in Lancaster today for an appointment and decided to try Michael's Bridge Diner for lunch. What a delightful surprise. It's decorated in what reminds me of a rustic hunting chalet from northeast Pennsylvania or upstate northern New England. Numerous trophies decorate the walls from several successful hunting and fishing expeditions from the past. The service was prompt and efficient, the servers pleasant and helpful. Apparently there were several 'regulars' in attendance who were addressed by name or some term of endearment. We as newcomers were welcomed warmly. Tina had a Rubin sandwich, I had a turkey club sandwich both were some if best tasting around. Both were served with spiced hand cut French fries. We both had Diet Cokes (their fountain drinks offer free refills btw). If you are looking for an adult beverage sorry.....Lancaster has been a dry town since 1653! Prices are reasonable for these days. The menu is varied from full breakfasts to numerous sandwiches (both hot and cold), wraps, salads, fish and chips, meatloaf etc. Try the homemade pie it's to die for. Sadly they are only open until 3pm, 2pm on on Sunday. Closed on Tuesdays. Their motto is "Ready to get stuffed" (it was true for us as we hardly could stop eating) is shown shown proudly on the servers T-shirts. I wonder if they sell souvenir shirts to the public? First visit was on Labor Day around 10:30 AM with my husband and a friend. Main dinning area was busy, but a table was available so we were seated quickly. Breakfast menu was quite extensive, but a few items caught my attention. Biscuits and sausage gravy w/two eggs, breakfast burrito, and homemade hash. Pancake selection was also good. I ordered the breakfast burrito with hot sausage, grilled onions, scrambled eggs, and salsa. Other orders were homemade hash with fried eggs, and ham & cheese omelette. All came with lightly seasoned home-fries. Our meals were served quickly (within 10 minutes). The burrito was stuffed, hot and delicious. The hash was very good with the runny eggs and sourdough toast. The omelette was fluffy with plenty of cheese and ham. Service seemed to be a bit stressed and not overly friendly. However, I believe the food is why Bridge Dinner was busy. read more

We used to go here every Black Friday as a family tradition. Always liked the food and the simple atmosphere. We have friendly staff each time. It is a good local place. This year, the service was lacking. Not friendly and not enough staff. Probably due to shortage of help which is not the restaurants fault. The food was mediocre this time around for all 5 of us. Home fries were burned and my kids food was not much different than what I make at home. To be clear, nothing was bad... just not something that made me say it was worth the money. Never have had a bad meal here. They host a diverse menu of breakfast selections that are delicious and hearty. The price point is also great. There is a log cabin feel to the place. It's almost like a hunting lodge. Inside, it's spacious open and airy. There is taxidermy all about, which also gives the hunting lodge feel. The service is quick and efficient. The food is fantastic. They have several different types of Benedicts and omelets. It has never been quiet when I have been here, which probably speaks for the place by itself. Come early. This place can get busy... This is the family breakfast joint in Lancaster/Clinton. A true greasy spoon. My wife and I like the casual atmosphere but it can get crowded so plan a head. My wife and I ate at this restaurant while visiting relatives in the Clinton, MA area. It is a great country restaurant where it seems most patrons are regulars that frequent it for breakfast, lunch & dinner. My wife had a great tasting pastrami sandwich which she loved. I had the fish-n-chips. It was also very good, perfectly fried, golden and flaky.. Very tasty. The service was also good. I do have two complaints about this place; the first is that the owner's 2 or 3 year old son was left completely free to roam the restaurant. This day the kid was yelling and running back and forth with his yellow truck. We moved tables to get away from the kid, but that didn't help as he just kept running & screaming. When we asked the sever to please tell the kid's parents she informed us that it was the owners' child, but they eventually got him to stop. My second complaint would be the temperature inside the establishment. It must have been 50 degrees! In order to be comfortable I had to put my winter jacket on. Overall a good value; I would definitely go back, but would hope the kid and the temperature are taken care of by then. read more

Jan 22, 2019. Meet a friend for breakfast. It wasn't crowded around 9am. Our waitress was quick to take our orders, asked how we were doing, and was attentive and friendly. ( just can't remember her name) I ordered a stuffed French toast with strawberries and whipped cream and a side of bacon. Everything was delish! This was my first time here, and will definitely be returning for some good food here. I've read some of the reviews on the decor of the place, I didn't think it was too disturbing.
