Who knew such good Italian food can be found on an island! We were so surprised with how delicious everything was!! We ordered inside but sat outside...and outdoor seating galore! It was super cute!! It felt like we were at an outdoor wedding reception. It was just so surprisingly spacious and cozy outside. The pastas were wonderfully delicious. Perfectly cooked pasta with bold flavors. We got their risotto special and oh my gosh, was it ever so flavorful and full of different textures. Crispy, salty cubes of guanciale; the veggie broth-infused, perfectly al dente risotto; and the creamy mildness of the mascarpone made for perfect bites of pure yum! And that Caesar salad...sooooo yummy! Each bite was like biting into a cloud of goodness. The soft, freshly grated parm was so delightful. And the lemon zest just put it over the edge! One of the best Caesar salads I've had. Quick and friendly service! It was busy but our food came out quickly. It just felt like a fun, rustic, and quaint dinner experience. We want to come back for more the next time we visit Vashon!!

Absolutely loved this place! Especially on a sunny day, their outdoor seating is out of a fairytale with the lush trees and tall grass. Service was very friendly and helpful. And I liked that you pay up front and can self-service on napkins, to-go boxes, etc. Food was very good as well. We got a pizza & pasta and both were lovely. I will note our pasta could have been a tad softer, but I'm figure it's a one-off. Will definitely return!

    Welcome.

If you can cross that water, then your belly will thank you. I have been here a few times. I even brought my students from the Bay Area to try this place! And yes, the 16-hour, two-day drive was worth it. The pizza comes out hot and ready. The cooks use that authentic pizza oven, which you can see it in action as soon as you walk into the joint. All the pizza is made with real meat, real dough and real cheese---nothing tastes frozen. Let that sink in for a minute. Then get ready to sink your teeth in. Cheesy, I know. There is communal outdoor seating, nice for a small meetup or 7 hungry teenagers. Great spot! A little slice of paradise on an island. Teacher-approved.

TL;DR: Best Neapolitan pizza on the island but also in the greater Seattle metro. Not oily, fresh ingredients, intimate but bright dining area, and personable and punctual service! What a good surprise Lunetta was when we visited Vashon for the day. It's a bit south of downtown but it's nearby a great coffee shop and general store as well as the arts center (both highly recommend as well). Parking is on the street but is not limited. We ordered the namesake pizza as well as a mushroom and sausage pizza. Both were delicious. The ingredients were fresh and high quality, including the prosciutto, arugula, and juicy and think oyster mushrooms. The biggest surprise was that the pizza was not oily! The crust stayed crispy for a long time and we didn't feel gross after eating it. We used the chili oil to add to the crusts, and that was mildly spicy and delicious. We also got the Caesar salad which was super fresh as well. We appreciated the lemon zest for a nice zing. Definitely recommend checking this place out when you're on Vashon!

Highly recommend. Excellent wood-fired pepperoni and sausage pizza! Pizza was a perfect balance of crispy, chewy, smoky crust and rich, flavorful toppings. The 800 degree oven created a blistered crust with a slight char - a delicious textural pizza. Personable, funny and exceptional hostess/server. Highly recommend.

A little a ways from the main strip of downtown Vashon, this is a tiny unassuming restaurant serving traditional pizzas. They only sit 6 tables and it's a very open style kitchen where you can watch the chefs making and firing the pizza. We got the carciofi pizza, which was really yummy. The crust was perfectly crispy and fluffy. The underlying crust is also super thin which I liked. The tomato sauce is flavorful, and it wasn't too greasy. The people working were super nice. Since the place is so small, it feels cozy and homey. Would definitely recommend!

Best pizza - napolitano style - thin, light crust baked for a minute in a wood-fired oven. Best to eat right on the spot!

We came by after happy hour at Anthony's and listened to a live set of great music. The place was packed, but everyone is friendly and was willing to share their table with us. We had a great time and I strongly recommend coming by the Quarterdeck to chill and listen to live music. Can't believe it took me 20 years of living in Seattle to find this place. So, don't repeat my mistake.

Quarterdeck is what I like to call a "come for the vibes, stay for the drinks, eat... somewhere…read moreelse" kind of place. I stopped by while visiting Seattle and while the food situation was a bit chaotic (they had rotating menus because they were out of a few items), I ended up ordering a kimchi-inspired sandwich that I wanted to love...but it just didn't do it for me. Not inedible, maybe a 2/5, but I'd definitely try something else next time. My friend ordered what I think was the Garden Harvest Wrap (a staple on the menu), and that was more of a 3/5. Both dishes were served cold (intentionally), which I think made a difference, I could totally see them being much better if they were warm. Now let's talk about what is worth it: the mimosa flight. SO good. Like dangerously easy to sit there, sip through all of them, and forget any minor food disappointments. But honestly, the real star here is the ambiance. You're right on the water with the most effortless, breezy, coastal energy. Boats drifting by, sun hitting just right, people lingering over drinks--it's giving main character energy in the best way. I found myself wanting to stay way longer than planned and even doing some work while there. This is absolutely a spot I'd come back to, just with a strategy: eat before or after, and come here to sip, sit by the water, and take a little walk on the dock. 5 stars for the vibes alone

The peanut sauce with it was so flavorful. I also had the pad see ew which was good. I played it safe with the entree but next time I will try something different. I added the second cup of peanut sauce to the pad see ew and it was great. The atmosphere of the bar was cool. It's dark and beautiful. The bartender served me water from a chilled bottle while I waited for my order (I got it to go). This place will make a fun location for a birthday, a date or girls night out. The deep fried trout appetizer was lovely, pad see ew was pretty standard and not overly sweet (and I tend to not like sweet food) like some comments have mentioned. We got the house red curry with pork. The spice level was great and the veggies were crisp and delicious. We enjoyed our cocktails too. The only item truly lacking was the tom yum soup. It honestly tasted like water infused with lime juice. No hint of all the wonderful flavors that make tom yum so delightful. Perhaps that was a bad batch. Otherwise everything was nice. My husband and I both agreed this was our favorite place we ate at on Vashon!

Realizing that a lot of the island closes fairly early, we were thinking our adventure was going to be a bust. We continued driving for a bit until we spotted Sporty's. While it definitely has the local hangout vibe, everyone has always been friendly and welcoming to us. They have a nice covered patio in the back with some cool decorations and plenty of seating. This was a nice place to hang out during the summer when it was warm. There are heaters out there now that the weather has turned and it is still just as enjoyable. The inside is friendly and welcoming, too. Most times, the regulars hang out in the area nearest the bar. There is always friendly banter going on while music or local sports are on in the background. There are also plenty of tables in the dining room if you prefer a bit more space. We haven't made it out early enough to try much of the menu, but Caz sure makes a tasty BLT and a bacon cinnamon roll that you'll definitely want to try! Overall, the bar staff is what brings us back to Sporty's, week after week. Both Caz and Kristen are very friendly and fun to talk to. They always make us feel like family even though we are not island locals. Because of them, we have made Sporty's one of our favorite weekly date night adventures. *If you're coming from the Tacoma side, make sure you leave by 10:30 so you can catch the last ferry home.

And now in hindsight, I'm going to presume that what they called corn beef was probably some pink slime aggregate that was marketed under that name given seasoning and whatever else. I tried to beat some of the flavor by having a little bit of someone else's pancake, but whatever was in the pancake batter just tasted like VOCs and other assorted chemistry I wish I was joking. If I was, my gut wouldn't feel like the absolute cesspool that it has become trying to pass this ***slop. Someone else had fried potatoes and I thought that at least potato might be a little bit more pure since it was a whole ingredient, but it just tasted like resin because of how long the grease had been on the fryer that had cooked it If I didn't know this country for what it is, I would have called the health inspector on the place
