When they first opened, they were selling pizza by weight, so you would go up to the counter and ask for a quarter pound of this and a half pound of that, etc, and then they'd cut it up to order depending on the weight requested. Now, they've switched to selling by the slice. I don't mind the change, as the pricing seems to be pretty much the same as it was before. Plus, now that the slices are pre-cut, this actually helps the line move through more quickly. Their selection of pizzas has definitely changed, although they seem to have some standards that are always there. The rossa, which is a very tomato-forward no-cheese pizza, the white hot, which is a cheese-forward no-sauce one topped with heaps of parmesan chili crisp, and the pepperoni are pretty much always there. The rest of them seem to rotate based on what ingredients are in season. So a while back they had one featuring asparagus, and now they have one covered in slices of summer squash. They always have a few options that vegetarians can eat, and the rossa one has no cheese base and you can probably ask them to hold off on shaving any parmesan on it if you're vegan. Honestly, I have never had a pizza here that I didn't like. And, I like that you can order a little of everything, so that you get a nice variety of flavors at once. I think the variability in their pizza selection is both a blessing and a curse. I really like that each time we're here there are new options to try, and they tend to highlight peak season ingredients which I think always makes for better food. However, that also means that sometimes you might show up and if they've run out of things you might not have much to choose from. If you eat everything, that's not a problem, but if you have a dietary restriction then it is a bit hit or miss depending on what's available. You can, of course, wait for them to make new pizzas, but when you're eating with people whose pizzas are already available, that throws off the pacing by quite a bit. Generally, since the pizzas are already made and all they do is heat them up to order, food comes out very quickly. You bring a number to your table, and they bring the pizza out on a tray to your table. Prices are also very reasonable, which is refreshing in what is generally a very expensive neighborhood to eat out in. Overall, I think Roma Roma is a really good addition to the neighborhood and I plan to keep visiting.

Then came the hot wings, and I immediately appreciated that these were actual wings, not the tiny, cut-down versions you get at so many other places. They were meaty, crispy, and coated in a fantastic buffalo sauce with plenty of flavor and just the right amount of heat. But let's talk about the pizza. The pepperoni pizza is, without question, the best pizza I've had in Seattle so far. The sauce was the standout for me. Just the right amount, with a subtle kick that brought plenty of flavor. It had the thin, perfectly crisp crust, that I could very easily become a regular for. The service was great, too. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely nice, which only added to the laid-back neighborhood feel. Jackson Street Pizza Lounge feels like one of those Seattle sleepers that deserves way more attention than it gets. Some of their light fixtures block the way of the screens depending on where you sit, as I overheard some patrons making remarks about. The place is brightly lit, and its presence literally invites large crowds since there's so much elbow room inside, so I was happy to be able to see some sports action on the big screens here. She's incredibly attentive without being overbearing, and you can tell she genuinely cares about every person at the bar. What really stands out is how much she does beyond just pouring drinks. She's constantly keeping the whole bar running--mixing drinks for the Icees, putting together pizza boxes, rolling silverware, and making sure everything stays smooth and organized even when it's busy. It's rare to see someone juggle that much and still stay friendly and on top of service. Ravae is a big reason I keep coming back. Great energy, great service, and she makes Belltown Pizza feel like your spot.

We were worried that this wouldn't be enough for four of us (two adults and two growing teenagers) but they were surprisingly filling and we easily had leftovers for lunch. We loved all the pizzas... the clam was amazing as was the sausage. The speck was really good along with the egg on the pie. This was recommended on the Infatuation's list of best pizzas and seeing that they had a clam pie had to try it and so glad we did. Will look forward to heading back!
