Place is walkable from downtown. There are other options as always. The restaurant has a great vibe and it's clean. Great service. The waiter was very good. Explained, asked questions. The staff is very attentive. First place I have been to where the waiting staff is standing by a half dozen tables waiting to help you. First time dining here for my birthday and everything on the menu looked amazing. We started with the margarita pizza which was so yummy and perfectly crispy. For entrees we had the clam spaghetti with pappardelle and duck ragu. The only thing missing from the clam spaghetti was some toasted bread to soak up the broth! We shared the bomboloni for dessert and the vanilla cream dipping sauce was my favorite. For the price point, I do wish the pasta was made in house. Our waitress was very good, but it was evident the majority of the staff was new. Overall positive experience, and we can't wait to go back and try some other menu items! read more

We had a business dinner here on a beautiful warm evening in April. We sat outside and despite the plastic chairs, it was comfortable. We shared our favorite wine, Caymus ($240/bottle) and my favorite appetizer was the potato and zucchini chips with Gorgonzola sauce - delish! For entrees, most ordered the Pappardelle with Duck and said it was good. I ordered the Garganelli alla bava. It was good but definitely heavy on the Gorgonzola sauce. We were in town for the SEC basketball tournament and made reservations for a nice meal out. This place was very impressive, although may be slightly pretentious. Place to be seen if you will. Lots of large groups, lots of selfie's being taken, some live streamers, etc. lol. However, the food quality is definitely there and our waiter was exceptionally knowledgeable! The duck Ragu was delicious! My one buddy was a little disappointed with the Bolognese. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, just not to the level of the other meals. For myself, I could've eaten three orders of the eggplant and zucchini appetizer! The homemade pasta on the duck Ragu dish was perfect! My one buddies son was with us and of course, at that age they have to order a dessert. Well, I was beyond pleasantly surprised at the banana pudding. At first I was laughing hysterically for spending like $17 on a banana pudding, but once I had a taste .... It was so much more than expected! Make a reservation for this place, it was packed. Loved their food, did not love their wine list. Server was exceptional. Please put more approachable wines on your list. Everything doesn't need to be $80 a bottle. That sends the wrong message to your guests. The steak was good, not amazing, and my crab pasta was really nice. For $290, dinner for two better be much more than good and nice. This is seriously some of the best Italian food that my wife and I have ever had - definitely the best we've had in Nashville. It has everything you could ever want from a high-end Italian restaurant: fantastic ambiance, wonderful, attentive staff, great drinks, and ridiculously good food! Here are some callouts from the menu - best calamari I have ever had, great prosciutto, unbelievably tender duck ragu, and creamy gelato and donuts for desert! The other amazing aspect of this restaurant is how gluten-free friendly it is. My wife is gluten free, and she could eat everything that I mentioned above! Her gluten free pasta is the best either of us have ever tried. If I could give this restaurant a 6/5 I would. We will be back! read more

First - the staff was very friendly, and the space was beautiful. That's about all I have to say in terms of good stuff. They were delayed seating us for our reservation. Service, while kind and friendly, was very slow. Drinks were slow. Food was VERY slow. We opted for the caesar salad, two entrees, and three sides - which was way too much food for two people. I wish we'd been warned about that prior to ordering. The entrees (short rib and pork milanese) were gigantic. The salad took a long time to arrive, maybe 30 minutes. We were there for a birthday dinner with my daughter - we treated her and a friend to a fancy dinner and they sat at their own table. We ordered two meaty entrees and they ordered simple pasta (spaghetti and butter) and a caesar salad. Our entrees arrived probably 30 minutes before theirs did. Food was average. My entree was not warm and was also overcooked. It looked like it had been sitting for a while. Polenta was tasty but a tiny portion for the cost. Broccoli was underseasoned. Foccacia was bland. It took time for us to get the silverware we needed for the entrees. We told our server we were finished eating but the food sat on the table for another 20-25 minutes before it was cleared and we were offered a dessert menu. Pacing of the meal was awful. We paid almost $500 with tip for the meal. For the spaghetti with butter for my daughter, they charged us $25. Valet parking was $15. I don't mind paying that for a nice dinner out on the town but the quality of the food did not match the price, not by a long shot. read more

Ambiance 5/5. Finally, a restaurant that was buzzing with life on a weeknight. Nashville oftentimes feels too empty on weeknights, with a decidedly quiet feel. This place had that larger city vibe I crave. The decor was clean and modern. The space was large. Service 3/5. Our waitress was nice. Well versed on the menu items. However, the bussers tried removing our appetizer before we were done with it. The butter plates were removed, leaving us nowhere to place our olive pits as we continued eating them. And, finally, I finished my pasta way before my other 3 can companions and my plate was removed very early, leaving me with nothing in front of me while others continued eating. This is just restaurant 101. So, I wasn't impressed. Food 3/5. While the Burrata was great, the pasta was on the cusp of being so salty as to be left inedible. It wasn't quite right, and being someone who loves flavorful food, I powered through. But the salt level was definitely overwhelming the other flavors. Not balanced (see Rolf & Daughters for perfectly balanced pasta). The breadsticks were so hard they could chip a tooth. Tasty and oddly spicy, but way too hard. The Frito Misto was tasty but it's hard to go wrong with battered and fried seafood. I'd like to come back and try the sausage or one of the other entrees. On the whole I wasn't as impressed as I'd thought I'd be. read more

First dinner at Luogo on a busy Saturday night. Ambience is bustling and very pleasant. Service team was friendly and efficient. Bourbon Old Fashions were fine. Caesar salad was a little underdressed and just OK. The sharable dish of potato and zucchini chips was a compacted somewhat soggy pile, but was, overall, a cheesy, salty enjoyable mess. The two pasta dishes we tried as mains were both cooked nicely al dente but were not served hot. The pasta with clams was not very flavorful and was ordinary at best. The pappardelle with duck was hearty but underwhelming and had sauce that was a little too sweet. Tiramisu dessert was also nothing special. Maybe my expectations were unreasonably high in light of the (continuing) dearth of excellent authentic Italian cuisine in Nashville but, overall, a disappointing food experience. read more

Ok, probably the best pasta I've had! It was amazing! If you go, would highly recommend a pasta dish and would stay away from the pizza as it was basically a flatbread and was not good. Such a fun new spot in the Gulch! I have been for both lunch and dinner, and both were great. Although I did feel the menu was a bit limited, every dish I've tried has been great! Especially the salmon appetizer and spaghetti and meatballs :) the tiramisu for dessert is also amazing and so cute. Every time I've gone the service has been great whether sitting at a table or at the bar. Food has always come out quick and staff is all friendly! Nashville meets New York City's highly acclaimed restauranteur Anthony Scotto- we were highly impressed and can't wait to go back! What a fabulous experience. From the moment that you walk in, an amazing, relaxed atmosphere, and is located right in the center of The Gulch! Magnificent bar: I had the Amalfi Aperitivo, and it was perfect. My friend had the Scotto Tesoro which was even better! When we were ready to sit down at our dining table-so many tasty options on the menu that it was difficult to decide. They start you off with a wonderful assortment of olives and the most irresistible peppered breadsticks-delectable! Of course, we ordered the famous Potatoe and Zucchini Chips with Gorgonzola cheese & Grilled Pizza- these are a MUST. We also ordered a Winter salad and a Frito Misto. The Frito Misto was exceptional, lightly fried to perfection and the caper herb aioli was so complimentary. The meatball was shared by all and the fresh ricotta was on point! The entrees at our table of six all looked like they were on the cover of a Bon Appetite magazine. More importantly, ALL of the dishes were met with the same review "EXCEPTIONAL"! Our table ordered the Luogo grilled sausage with butter beans and broccoli rabe-A+ and a Mediterranean Harvest Vegetarian plate- we did not know that Polenta Fries were something you could fall in love with! The Strozzapreti with Jonah Crab Fra Diavolo was cooked to perfection A+. The Paccheri Bolognese was my favorite- you have to like the savory taste of saffron for this dish though A++. We went to Luogo last night for a much needed date night. The vibe is relaxed with diverse customers from dressed in suits to jeans. We were sat at a little two top towards the back. The couple seated next to us leaned over and said "you are in for a treat" as they were just paying and leaving. The waiter was friendly and knew the menu well. He made excellent recommendations. We enjoyed the duck pappardelli, rigatoni bolognese, burrata appetizer, and a couple cocktails. All were excellent. We switched entrees frequently and could not choose a favorite. read more
