The food was amazing, and my buddy and I were sat quickly despite us not having a reservation and it being a Friday evening. I took my buddy out for a celebratory promotion dinner to Ophelia's. We're from Huston and staying at the hotel across from this restaurant, we heard great things so on our last night we decided to celebrate his good news here. Within thirty seconds of us sitting down our waitress came out to greet us and pour waters for us. She was incredibly kind and bubbly, beautiful young girl. The service was next level. Our server, Lu lu, gave us great recommendations on cocktails and appetizers. She got to know what we enjoyed and recommended the whipped ricotta to us, which was delicious. Creamy ricotta with honey, oil, spice, and bread. Game Changing bread, perfectly baked. When it was time for our dinner, we decided to get the calzone, lasagna, and a pizza. The food came out within twenty minutes and it was just incredible. We decided for tiramisu as our dessert, but we should've gotten the cream puff, the table next to us got one and it looked great. When our waitress brought out our check she very respectfully asked where my buddy was from, as he has a pretty thick accent. He told her that he's Russian and her face lit up, she immediately started having a full conversation with him in Russian. Apparently, she knows the language conversationally. I mean, what a coincidence. My buddy was so tickled by it, and I think he really appreciated it. We also saw the chef come out and talk to one of the other tables, seriously, people were asking to speak to the chef to give their compliments. All in all, this was a wonderful restaurant that runs smoothly and is very professional. Yet it still remains to make you feel as if you're important and taken care of. The ambiance was nice. Loved they played music that went with the feel of the restaurant. The food could have been better. The meat balls were hard and bland. The spaghetti was watery and mushy. Sauce tasted like it came from a can. I had to order bread they brought out fuccata bread that was more than just chard. Over all the meal was forgettable and a disappointment for the price. The dessert was better. The waitress said the cheese cake was made there and was like what you get in NYC all I can say it was tasty but very light and frothy. I think they need a trip to NYC and start again. The cappuccino was almost cold and very bitter. Could have been better. My waitress was very pleasant but kept forgetting to bring out utensils. The menu is small but mighty with a fairly large wine selection. Unfortunately they were out of the vodka sauce when I went so I suppose i'll have to go back and try it!!! The whipped ricotta was delicious and their focaccia was DEVINE. Would return for the bread alone. We tried the Truffle pizza and the Mushroom Pizza. Both were super rich in flavor and wonderful. This place is so cute. It reminds me of an Italian spot in Hoboken, New Jersey or New York City. Mom and Pop joint with great pizza and homemade bread. They also have espresso martini with real espresso. They have a good wine selection. We ordered the Prosecco and Chardonnay. The bread they serve with the ricotta cheese is fresh and worth the calories. They do have a small bar - About eight seats and it's first come first serve. I truly enjoyed going here for dinner the other night. It definitely gave date night vibes with the ambience since it was dark and candlelit. Soooo kind of awkward going with my boss because the waiter assumed we were a couple lol but nonetheless the food was good. Caesar salad was just ok to be honest, not a lot of dressing on it. Shrimp scampi was delicious! Different than any other scampi I've tried with capers in the sauce but I really liked it! They brought us a tiny sample of a cheese filled pepper to try and that was pretty good too! Also super random but their lemonade was great! I don't know if they used some type of sparkling water and syrup but I loved it. Sat in the patio since it was beautiful outside, Sinatra music in the background, server was checking in on us constantly. We started with the meatballs for an appetizer and my daughter loved them. For mains, we tried the cheese pizza and the bacon pizza--both with a light, airy crust that had a great crunch. I've been trying to get a reservation here for a long time. Last night it finally worked out. The inside Dacor is very well done. Tables are all candle lit and the service is excellent. Attire across the board is generally business casual. Caesar salad, spaghetti and meatballs, and the Branzino fish plate were all amazing. This also looks like a great place for good weather outside lunch time dinning. The patio is very nice. Arrival early for a reservation may not be the greatest idea. I went to Ophelia's to celebrate an anniversary, and I couldn't have picked a better spot. From start to finish it was a 10/10 experience. It's located downtown, but feels like a hidden gem all on its own. When you walk in, you're greeted by a beautiful dining space with photos lining the walls, and the outdoor seating is just as beautiful. We sat outside with the heaters on, and it felt cozy and intimate. We started the night with the Meatballs and the Whipped Ricotta with chili honey...I'm still thinking about them. Both were incredible. We also ordered Espresso Martinis, which were good, although definitely on the stronger, coffee-forward side. If you like spinach, you MUST try the Rotolo Alla Vodka. I've never had anything like it-- the sauce was unreal. We also shared the Ophelia's Lasagna, which was almost just as good... almost. For dessert, we split the Tiramisu, and it did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was a solid 10/10. Every plate was gone before I even thought to take out my phone for pictures. Our server, Gavin, really elevated the experience. He was extremely welcoming and gave the best recommendations! It was packed on a Saturday night, so definitely make a reservation. We saw a mix of large groups and couples. I parked in a $20 garage down the street, but Ubering would also be a great option. Overall just a great spot! I'll be back soon. read more

Oh no Ophelia, I think Ophelia's has a ton of great things going on. I just was not super impressed with the food. The food was good but I expected to be blown away because of how well they do everything else. We ordered the lasagna, magherita pizza and spaghetti with meatballs. Lasagna did not look like what the pictures online I saw so I was a bit disappointed, the pasta was a bit tough and too thick for lasagna. The meatballs we ordered were a bit undercooked in the middle and extremely garlicky. The service is on another level over there. The manager is constantly walking around making sure everyone is having a good experience and being apart of the experience. The atmosphere is so cool, you think you are in a local restaurant in Italy. They put a lot of detail in the decor in the building. Very inviting place. I even had someone call me before our reservation to confirm and welcome us. Grabbed lunch on a Friday and there were still have tables available inside and on the patio. It did pick up some right before I left. I love the charming vintage Italian esthetic and gorgeous blue and white china. The server was attentive and kind. I ordered a small Ophelia salad with arugula, chicories, crispy pepperoni, cherry tomato, radish, white balsamic vinaigrette followed by a Italian sandwich with mortadella, sopressata, pepperoni, pistachio, Castelvetrano aioli on ciabatta. I topped off a perfectly sweet visit with the cannoli sundae that wasn't my favorite mainly because there was a serious issue with the whipped cream that was quickly resolved. Inside was romantic with dim lighting overhead and candles on the table. The food was amazing. Huge portions, lots of flavor, and wonderful to share. The mortadella pizza is the best pizza I have EVER had in my life. Get it.. no questions asked. The lasagna was great, but similar to any other béchamel slice I have had. However, the tiramisu was different than most with hazelnut pieces layered inside, which was an excellent twist. Our server, Hope, was busting her a$$ doing great with tables. She was personable and took great care of us as we celebrated a birthday. If you are coming here for one definitely mention it in your reservation and to the staff as they were very great about making it special! Only leaving 4 stars as I had a pretty awful stomachache after, but that may just be me. If you have any dietary sensitivity to dairy or red sauce this place might get you. The atmosphere of this spot is incredible! I only briefly walked through the inside dining area, but I loved the cute bookish decor. We decided to sit on the patio since it was a nice afternoon. Our service was great; our food came out in a timely manner. I liked the aesthetic of the paper menus, but mine was crumpled and had stains on it which was kind of gross. The food itself wasn't good. I split the mushroom pizza with my partner, and it was lacking flavor. The fresh mushrooms on top felt lazy, there was no truffle flavor, and the pizza itself was incredibly dry. Also, I like a crispy pizza, but there were some spots that were so burnt that it tasted bitter. Definitely overpriced for what we received. I feel ya, Ophelia. Thanks for a great post-show meal while me wife and I were out living it up in Nashville. We picked out this spot due to its proximity to a performance we were catching earlier in the night, and made a reservation in advance. That was definitely needed, as the place was packed when we arrived. Regardless, our table was ready within just a few minutes, and our waiter had greeted us within just a minute. Service was professional and prompt throughout. Italian food was about the only food we hadn't had while in Nashville, and knowing that it isn't exactly a hallmark of the region we were in, had reserved expectations. This is primarily a pizza place, with a small pasta based menu, but they highlighted their lasagna as a house specialty. Boy, was it ever special indeed. It was rich and flavorful, with a tasty bechamel cream draped all over it. This made each bite so yummy, and the portion was large. I ate most of it, unable to take any leftovers with us due to staying in a hotel. If we'd known how big it was, we may have just split the entree. Before the lasagna, we split a ceasar salad because we did see how large that was at a neighboring table, and heard them commenting on the dressing. This was indeed one of the better versions I have had. Fresh lettuce, plenty of parm, and a nice funk to the caesar dressing which tasted like it was made in house. Very flavorful. Our cocktails were well done also. To top it off, the vibes here are excellent with the walls completely covered in old framed photos and art. Your check is brought in a copy of Hamlet, which people have written all over, and we added our wisdom to. It was a cute touch given the name of the restaurant, and the role of Ophelia in Shakespeare's classic. We would come back here for sure. read more

My best friend came into town and was craving pizza !! What kind of host would I be without doing my research and finding somewhere I knew she'd like. Ophelia's has a great location right around the corner from printers alley. Their ambiance was very romantic, low lighting, frank Sinatra playing in the background and their walls covered in pictures. The service was okay we had to wait a few minutes to be greeted by our server, we only noticed because dinner wasn't very busy. We started with cocktails which were pretty good, I stared with the orange sherbet and my bestie with an espresso martini. Shortly after I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken, that was not very enjoyable due to the thick fibrous pieces of lettuce and dry underseasoned chicken. I would definitely recommend a reservation, as it was packed on a Friday night. Also, it may be due to the size of the restaurant but it was very, very loud. While I realize that they cannot exactly control this, it is something I would want to know about dining there. Once the restaurant was full it was pretty difficult to hear/speak to each other. What a cute spot to have Italian cuisine! I really enjoy the plethora of framed photos and various pictures that are hanging on the walls all over the restaurant. Our waitress, Joy, was the sweetest thing on the planet she really made my birthday feel super special and gifted me with my favorite dessert which is tiramisu. The tiramisu was absolutely decadent and so creamy. It fed all six of us because it was a decent portion. The lasagna was incredibly flavorful and my absolute favorite. Anytime we're downtown hitting Bridgestone Arena, a Titans game, Broadway, Printers Alley, whatever, Ophelia's is perfectly located and has become our go to spot. Food's killer: truffle pizza is insane, lasagna is perfect, meatballs are legit. The staff is super friendly and quick, they treat you like you've been coming forever even if it's your first time. Great vibe to chill, talk, grab a few drinks before heading out. Also my go-to when friends visit; nothing beats kicking off their Nashville trip with some killer pizza and pasta here.
