Had a great experience at SHO Pizza Bar. The food was really good, but the Caesar salad honestly stole the show for me it was so fresh, flavorful, and easily one of the best I've had in a while. Great atmosphere and definitely a spot I'd come back to.

I don't usually update my review so soon after my initial visit ... but I just have to say that their current Sho-Stopper is a MUST-TRY. My husband and I have been back to Sho a handful of times since our first meal there, and we are slowly working our way through their menu. The Caesar is still our favorite in town, and the Matcha Tiramisu is a fun take on the Italian classic. However, the purpose for this review is to petition Sho to add their current Sho-Stopper to their regular menu. It's called "Wedding Crasher" and it is truly the best pie we've had there (and trust me when I say we love their regular menu features too!) It's made with a vodka sauce, and it's honestly the perfect mix of spicy and cheesy. So Sho team, if you're reading this, the Wedding Crasher is amazing! We loved it and will be back again soon. Nashville foodies, if you're reading this, go try the Wedding Crasher and tell your server how much you loved it so they keep it on the menu!

4.5 stars. We came here because Phil recommended it on Somebody Feed Phil. We came for lunch and it was really busy. Noisy inside. We sat outside. We split a Supermarg pizza (margarita with buffalo mozzarella) with a hot honey dipping sauce for the crust. Pizza was delish (they give you scissors to cut it!) the dough is sourdough and fermented for 3 days. Hot honey was spicier than I expected but tasty. The dough is the standout. Service was friendly but apparently there were specials that he forgot to tell us about? We heard him tell another table. The playlist was amazing. Definitely recommend!

Insane pizza. Crust was so fluffy but airy and perfectly browned in the oven. Salumi- which was a Hot Calabrian honey pepperoni was my favorite it was so crispy and buttery and soft. French onion soup with horseradish sauce was also insane but lacked onion flavor in my opinion. Got a blood orange aperol spritz which was also amazing and perfect mix of sweet and sour. Also got the miso ranch for the pizza. More tasted like dill ranch which was sad but it was amazing dill ranch if you told me that's what it was Service was amazing and the place was sooo clean. Also weird note but the bathrooms were like a spa and so clean and had their own branded candle which b was cute

After hearing about this place for months, I finally went and was blown away. We went on a Saturday night and while it was very busy, we were able to get a table on the patio quickly. We ordered the sourdough & stracciatella for the table (4 people) and it was very tasty. I would recommend ordering more than one since it is a very small starter. We also ordered 2 pizzas for the table, the daily sho-stopper and the supermarg and they were both delicious. I will absolutely be back

We had a good dinner experience on the patio of Sho. The service was perfect, and we loved the pizzas and Caesar salad. The deep blue decor and friendly staff make for a nice atmosphere. The dough is so tasty! We finished dinner with the strawberry panna cotta. It was layered with flavor and texture with freeze dried berries, pretzels, and cookie crumbles.

Pizza, sourdough with stracciatella, and panna cotta were absolutely delicious. The service was also wonderful and the vibe is nice. Definitely a pizza place you dress nicer for! The only cons are parking as the lot is likely to be full and you will 100% need reservations (probably want to make them a few weeks in advance). Also, the appetizer felt a little small for the price, but that's just Nashville these days. Eating out is expensive.

It took me almost a year to make it to Sean Brock's Sho Pizza Bar in East Nashville, but wow, when I made it last week, I was blown away. It was overall one of the best meals I've had in town. More than just "a pizza place," it's a fabulous restaurant experience, with every detail carefully considered and executed. No wonder Sho was just awarded a 2025 Michelin Bib Gourmand designation. Chef Brock reinterprets Neapolitan tradition with inspiration from pizza he encountered in Tokyo, the name "Sho" coming from the Japanese word shokunin, meaning a deep devotion to one's craft. The dough is cold-fermented for 72 hours in a glass-enclosed "laboratory-like" clean-room. It provides an airy yet chewy crust that's served with char from the Stefano Ferrara Forni wood-fired oven. The glass-walled area also displays provenance of pretty much everything in restaurant - the cheeses, meats, vegetables and even the firewood used here. (It reminded me a bit of the lobby at the original Husk). When, not if, you go, you MUST sit at the 12-seat chef's counter. You get a front row seat to the pizza-making process, watching dough being gently shaped in a unique sort of process... and pies sliding into the fire. My server Liz was really great - friendly, attentive, and polished without any sort of stuffiness. While pizza is the star, the few other items we tried were also delicious. Check out the photos... *** Salumi Pizza - Beef Pepperoni, Fior Di Latte DOP, Fresh Oregano, Asiago, Calabrian Chili Honey *** Supermarg Pizza - Tomato Sauce, Basil, Parmigiano Reggiano, Buffalo Mozzarella DOP, Garlic, Evoo *** Little Gem & Herb Salad - Sourwood Honey & Yuzu Vinaigrette, Smoked Benne Seed *** Marinated Olives - Fennel Pollen & Orange *** Slow Burn Margarita - Campo Bravo Blanco, Lime, Habanero Those two pies were possibly the best pizza I've ever enjoyed. There's about ten on the regular menu, and two or three blackboard specials every day. If I lived closer I'd aim to try the whole menu ASAP. In short: If you're in Nashville and love pizza that goes beyond the ordinary -- balanced with creativity, fired with skill, and served with genuine warmth -- Sho Pizza Bar is an absolute must. Highly recommended.

My husband and I went to Sho Pizza on a Monday night and honestly... best decision ever. Loved loved loved the place. Definitely make a reservation. The place isn't very big and it gets busy (even on a Monday), but booking is super easy. We've followed Chef Sean Brock for a while, so it was such a cool surprise to see him there that night, not only cooking but also mixing music. The vibe was so fun and relaxed. We sat at the pizza bar so we could watch everything happen, and I highly recommend doing that. Service was great, very laid back, nothing fancy or over-the-top, just good people who clearly care about the food, which if you ask me, it's the way to go. We had to start with the Caesar since it's their most famous appetizer. It lives up to the hype, and the cheese. As for the pizza, it is Neo- Napolitano style. High-quality ingredients, beautiful cold fermented dough, and thoughtful combinations. Loved the board where they list all of their ingredients providers and where it comes from. We got the Super Marg (basically a Margherita with mozzarella di bufala) and the Bianca Pizza; garlic cream sauce, buffalo mozzarella DOP, asiago, lemon, EVOO. Saying that the pizza was amazing is an understatement. We paired it all with a beautiful bottle of Nebbiolo, and then... the Matcha Tiramisu. I'm not even a matcha person and I was obsessed. I knew this place will become one of my favorites in the city, and now I understand why!

I saw Sho Pizza Bar recommended online and decided to give it a try for lunch. Since it was a last-minute decision, we didn't make reservations, and when we arrived, the restaurant was fully booked. Thankfully, their patio is available for walk-ins, so after a wait, we were able to get a table. I'm glad we stuck it out because I was not disappointed. We ordered the mushroom pizza and the Margherita pizza, and both were absolutely delicious. The real highlight for me, though, was the Caesar salad. It was incredible. Easily one of the best Caesar salads I've had in a long time. On top of the great food, our waiter was incredibly nice and attentive throughout the meal.

Friends, fun, and the best pizza in town at Sho Pizza Bar! The name means "master of one's craft," and you can taste that dedication in every bite. Huge thanks to Kevin for the amazing recommendations and to Ash for the warm hospitality. Great ambiance! This isn't your average pizza--it's something special. We'll definitely be back! Loved everything! I sat at the "chef's table" bar, which gives a nice view of the process. Everyone was friendly and service was efficient. The food, cocktails, and dessert were better than expected. I'll return next time I'm in Nashville. Cocktails: Fashion Sho, 5/5 - no notes. If you like a Manhattan you'll like it. Cucumber yuzu gimlet with vodka 6/5, seriously. It was so refreshing and well balanced - a perfect drink for a hot humid day. Food: Heirloom corona beans 5/5, the beans were creamy, asparagus was snappy, pesto was bright and herbaceous, and the kale was tender and earthy. I kept the bowl to dip my pizza crusts. Mushroom pizza, 4.5/5 - the lemon is necessary to break up the richness. I think a sprinkle of chili flakes or even a drizzle of some spicy Tuscan olive oil after the oven could have made it a perfect pie. The crust was great. Matcha tiramisu 5/5, thr matcha is very subtle, but that's ok. It was balanced, not too sweet, and had a lovely texture.

I recently heard about this Sean Brock project and was intrigued. My husband and I chose a weeknight reservation to see what all the hype was about. We were seated at a cozy spot inside immediately, despite a busy dining room. I love pizza of all types, but it's not often you stumble upon a local place that is committed to an authentic Neapolitan pie. From the wood-fired bubbly crust to the water buffalo mozzarella, this eatery stays true to Naples, the birthplace of pizza! We ordered: -super margherita: a classic Neapolitan pie I will come back to over and over. Sho's version of the tomato sauce was a little sour for my taste, but overall a 8/10 flavor wise. Crust and cheese 10/10. -Bianca (with added bacon): I loved these flavor combinations, though I felt the extra EVOO created a bit of a messy eating experience. -miso ranch dip: I enjoyed this with my crust, but will probably skip it next time or try another dip. The crust is fantastic on its own!!! Although this visit we prioritized tasting a few different pizzas, I knew I had to come back when a nearby table ordered a Caesar piled high with parm - I need to try that salad! Overall we really enjoyed our visit and left full and satisfied!

His theory is that pizza always puts him in a good mood, so why not always be looking at pizza. Okay, none of that is true, except for the part that he said it was the best pizza he ever had. My slice was very good but I don't know about all that. It seems to be a common theme at Five Points East though. Therefore, go for it! Our server, Annie, was excellent. And very efficient at her job. As for atmosphere, pretty cool! Small but cool. And I actually like that they don't have Italian food and stick to their speciality. This time, we switched things up and hit it for lunch instead. Good call. We grabbed seats at the bar, where Todd was holding down the fort. The guy was outstanding. Drinks never sat empty, food came out smoothly, and he somehow managed to be attentive without hovering over us every five minutes asking if everything was okay. My wife started with the Nashville Margue, which goes down way too easy for something packing moonshine. Light, refreshing, and carrying enough kick to remind you you're in Tennessee. Then Todd introduced us to a Bloody Mary made with a new pickle-infused vodka. Now, that sounds like one of those ideas that should either be amazing or a complete disaster. Turns out it's amazing. My wife loved it so much she's already talking about coming back tomorrow for another one. For food, we started with the pretzels and beer cheese. Simple. Warm. Soft. Salty. Exactly what you want while settling into a Nashville afternoon. Nothing fancy, just done right. Then I went all in on the mac and cheese topped with Nashville hot chicken. Yee Haw. Creamy mac and cheese. Crispy chicken. That signature Nashville heat. Comfort food with a little attitude. Just the way it should be. The best thing about The Stillery is that it knows exactly what it is. Good food. Good drinks. Good people. No gimmicks. No trying too hard. Just a fun place to sit down, relax, and enjoy yourself. A bit mild for the serious hot chicken fans, but the flavor is there. The chicken tenders are fairly standard. And the crinkle fries are mid. I enjoyed both of the drinks. At $14.50, they are at least $1.50 less than the standard Broadway cocktails in the star bars, so iti s a less expensive option to get a drink. I don't think they ever have live music, unlike some others here, so you are going for the food, not the noise. Service was great, as always. The staff is always prompt and knows their menu. My guest ordered a pineapple pizza, and I built my own -- both had strong foundations with good crust and sauce. The base of the pie is clearly well executed. I placed the order online via toast and the food was ready in 30 minutes, I didn't think much of it since I wasn't that hungry but when I picked up the order and headed back upstairs, ya'll the calzone and pasta were MASSIVE. My bestie and I, share the food and had leftover for the next day and don't get me started on the ranch, worth the two dollar for extra sauce. If I do come back here next time, I'm getting their wings and extra ranch. Overall, the USA! Calzone which consist of mushroom, bell peppers and pepperoni and of course mozarella cheese, it was so damn good and perfect seasoning. (Yes, I ate the pizza with ranch) Now the kid's meal, what I thought of just a small pasta and a side of fries, came out to be a WHOLE FULL MEAL and the pasta was one of the best pasta I ever ate, it was creamy and the choice of adding bacon bites just hit. (Perfect to carb up before a night of drinking) it came with two pieces of garlic bread too. The fries were okay, dipping that into ranch help. Main star where the calzone and the pasta for the order.

We shared a dish of the Z.Z. Tots, which were top-notch with the homemade sriracha aioli. We each ordered a 10" pizza: my wife got "the roni," and for myself, I ordered "The Stallion." The crust was perfect, the toppings were fresh and delicious. If I'm ever in the area again, I will be back.

I loved the DJ on the second floor, and I'm still impressed that they have two bars--we didn't even make it upstairs the first time we came. I'm definitely coming back to check out the rooftop next time, especially since it was pretty cold during this event and I didn't get the full experience. The games are a blast, the drinks are great, and the pizza... wow. So good! I grabbed mine to go, and it was still amazing the next day for lunch, super fresh and still full of flavor. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and genuinely kind. Already excited for my next visit!

You pay for tokens (not expensive) and get to choose from 80+ nostalgic arcade games like Pac-Man, Street Fighter, Galaga...all the classics. They also have Mario Kart on Nintendo 64 (no tokens needed!), plus skee-ball, basketball hoops, pinball, and more. The staff makes Up-Down even better. Everyone greeted us with smiles, and the bar staff and bouncer went above and beyond to help me track down my lost phone (thanks again!!). There are two levels (each with its own bar), and the upstairs, dog-friendly patio has cabanas with fireplaces. It's also in the perfect spot for hopping to other great bars nearby. This place is 10/10: cheap beer, fun games, and an all-around solid night out!

First of all, the crust is so thin and crispy. Just delicious. The pizza slices are huge. We ate on the pizza all night. We chose to eat in and while we were waiting the employee....maybe the owner...gave us another slice to try....vodka sauce with pancetta and basil. OmG. I almost wished I would have ordered that instead. I am a supreme, pepperoni, oe sausage and pepperoni girl but that made me rethink my life choices. So of course the next visit I ordered the vodka pizza. I was a little nervous because the other worker was not there and I wanted it to taste the same. Well, I was not disappointed. It was just as good as the first. This place will definitely be in my rotation. Ok Five Points...I may have a new number 1.

For an app, we had the burrata with their signature olive oil and sea salt. It was fantastic! For dinner, we all split the cavatelli, duck ragu, and the agnolotti. All were good, however, the cavatelli was by far my favorite. The hot sausage and brown butter sauce were super unique! We ended the night with their tiramisu, which was a traditional take on the dish. The whole table enjoyed it. Great spot for a casual Italian spot in East!
