The bed in our yurt, clearly unmade and not used for sleeping

Was looking for a private yurt- airbnb seemed to have just what i needed, king bed in a yurt, but the host never responded to my booking. I saw it was 'lupin lodge' and reached out directly. I asked directly about accessibility options as stairs were not possible, and they assured me that i was all good. We came in late, and learned that the accomodations were very... rustic. No ADA accessibility, lots of stairs, definitely not wheelchair accessible. So we were given a key to an unbooked yurt on flat ground. Not great. 5 stairs, on an incline. Door was unlocked, bed had clearly been slept/f*cked in. No thanks.

This was my first time at Lupin Lodge. It's so peaceful and relaxing! I opted to stay in a yurt which is a great "glamping" option for those who want to camp but not rough it. My Yurt slept two and had a small refrigerator and microwave. The facility also provides towels, fans for the room, and plenty of extension cords. The community bathrooms were just a couple of steps away and were kept extremely clean. The weather was a great escape from Fresno and I even got cold on my last night. I went in July and the high temperature during the day was around 95 and at night dropped to 65. This made night swims in the heated pool amazing. Without light pollution, you can see a sky full of stars. During the weekend, the staff plan events. The Friday night I was there, we had a Pirates of the Caribbean movie/pool party. During the weekend, you can get breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the one site restaurant. If that isn't your style, you can always bring your own and use the community kitchen to prepare your meal. Driving into town isn't bad either. In addition to the heated pool, Lupin also has a hot tub, and sauna. Hiking trails are all around and I saw a volleyball and pickle ball court. At first I was nervous with this being a clothing-optional facility, but within minutes, I felt at home. Seeing the friendly wildlife roaming around during the day adds a cool nature vibe too. 10/10 recommend!

    Road entrance

Definitely a solid 4 star experience. Had no trouble finding it via google maps, check in time was a bit longer than expected but the staff woman was super friendly and shared a few laughs. I went solo on a weekday to the pool and adjacent grass area and it was perfect. I see so much further potential to attract a younger and more consistent crowd, while still catering to the current fan base. Some more of a modern pool layout or colors, some lanterns in the adjacent tree, stinger lights, an everyday pantry to buy snacks from, soft drink dispenser near pool, some hipster rope seats hung from trees and hangout spots, just a few more comforters to those who aren't familiar with the entire property. Cell signal was moderate so I could still be reached if needed. The one day admission fee was fair, but also at the same time that's the same fee for nice resort day pass in Palm Springs. I know this isn't PS, and it was absolutely beautiful at the pool looking out at the mountain trees, but I felt it could have been elevated a bit more. Thank you to the staff and patrons there for all being nice and easy to talk to. I'd definitely go back.

It's an overall pretty chill space with a clubhouse, bocce ball, hiking, and pool/hot tub. It's member-only, and the community is tight-knit and welcoming. We have been members for the last year, and my girls (9,7,5) love going. They are treated with incredible love and respect by all the members and there are currently several families with kids, ranging from 5-14 years old. Yes, it's naked. Yes, you will see naked people. Yes, you will be naked! Kids under 18 do not have to be naked if they don't want to, but adults are expected to be clothes-free most of the time. Let me tell you why Sequoians is walking the walk on inclusivity, and why it isn't creepy. 1) Creepiness is gross and bad for all ages; sexualizing kids is wrong, full stop. 2) Creepiness is bad for business! Getting accused of improper activities is bad for business! Sequoians, and nudists in general, have a vested interest in keeping their spaces safe for everyone. 3) Inclusivity is more fun! More people can be included and feel safe, and that feels good. Therefore: Sequoians makes a big deal of vetting potential members, and everyone is educated about body positivity and etiquette. You see consent engagements in real life, in terms of playing with the kids, hanging out in shared spaces, keeping spaces clean, and working together for the benefit of everyone. Everytime we do out there, my kids say "ohhhhh we love it here!" and I do too. If you are interested in learning more, please read the website. And come visit!

I really enjoy being in nature and hearing nothing but birds and wildlife. That said, it is a bit busier on the weekends, but not rowdy. Wonderful place to remove clothing and be in nature. If you're interested in gawking at naked members of the opposite sex, save your time and go to a strip club.

We saw families arriving with young children, completely unaware of what they were walking into. Two different families set up early in the morning, only to pack up and leave within the hour -- we quickly realized why, I'm sure they didn't want their family around all this. Nudity shouldn't be allowed on a public beach with zero warnings. As noon approached, the beach filled with fully nude adults, many of them elderly. Even if they stayed in their own area, they were still completely visible to everyone on the beach. It was disturbing and frankly disgusting. We didn't have kids with us, so we stayed a little longer, but it ruined our Sunday morning. There should be clear, visible warnings -- this should not be allowed in a public space without them. I attached pictures of the signs...not a single warning or disclosure that nudity is allowed.

I just bookmarked for a couple of years, and I finally visited it. My boyfriend and I along with his doggie were having a day out in Santa Cruz. I told him that we should visit this place so that we can swing on the beach. He was down for it, but once we found the way to get down to it--he said, "No way, I'm doing that." I *did* not let that stop me from going down there to experience the swing though. My boyfriend and his doggie stayed at the top of the cliff and watched me climbed down to the beach. Yes, it was pretty treacherous. Thank goodness there was a rope with knots to hold onto. Otherwise, I don't think I would be able to do it successfully without that lifesaver rope. Thank you so much to whoever secured that rope there! Also, I do want to point out I did this in a dress and flipflops?! Crazy right.. Then again.. I'm crazy, I do admit it. ;) There were a four gals and guys down there chilling. I asked them if there was another way to get in and out of here, but they confirm that that was the only way in and out. I got to swing on the swing and took some videos. The swing looked cool from the photos that I seen, but it doesn't swing well straight. It does swing sideways. Lol... It took me about 7 minutes to go down and about 4 minutes to climb back up. I know this because my boyfriend recorded me. Lol... I'm very grateful that I was determined to do this despite the company that I had didn't want to do it. Years ago I let someone that I was with who didn't want to do it influence me to also not do it when we visitied Alamere Falls so I won't let that happen anymore. If there is something I want to do, it's okay to do it alone when other people don't want to do it. That's on self-love, baby! There is two parking areas. We initially parked in the one right across the post office, but then we follow this group to the other one right next to it because it was closer. We walked across the railroad tracks and found the opening to the climb to the beach. I was sore for a few days afterwards in my legs from climbing the side of the cliff, but oh gosh... It was so worth it!
