Sure, I had lost some lashes, but really I was there for MORE bc I was obsessed with the natural look and wanted to really go big for wedding day. My make-up artist was absolutely shocked that my lashes weren't my own. She said she could barely tell and that I looked nothing but natural. It's an investment, sure, but you can't beat the quality. As a customer, I would recommend clearly outlining all payment policies and procedures on the website at the time of booking. Additionally, some basic signage would improve the experience for first-time clients--such as a note on the door indicating "in session, do not disturb," or a sign in the lobby directing clients where to wait. The absence of a receptionist made the arrival process somewhat confusing.

Demi is very inviting and has a warm personality which makes the experience at DemiStudio even more pleasant. Initially, I told her what lip color I was interested in, and she suggested a different color based on my skin tone-- something more coral/orange-hued which I would've never thought to have. I'm so glad she suggested it because it came out beautiful! During the entire process she constantly checked her work and it did not feel rushed compared the last person I went to in 2023. I have to say out of the few who have done my brows in the past, Demi is the only one who suggested NOT to use a numbing agent and explained the reasons why. Apparently going without numbing allows the pigment to be absorbed more into the skin, reduces bruising/swelling, and has better overall color accuracy. I have a pretty high threshold for pain so I took her suggestion to forgo numbing. The pain was bearable and worth it, which I compare to bad sunburn. Before leaving I already had it on my mind that I wanted to come in for a touchup and when I told her, she said it may not be necessary though if I insisted, I could always reach out in 5 weeks for a touchup appointment. I greatly appreciate her honesty to not push more work on me than what I needed. Granted I still contacted her for a touchup and she was very accommodating with her schedule. Almost exactly 1 year later and the color on both brows & lips are still pretty vivid! The coral/orange lip color is especially still going strong with little-to-no fading. Additionally, she works alone in her beautifully aesthetic and serene studio so you are not interrupted by sounds of other people. The shop is very cute and clean with easy parking right out front. She wore a mask and required guests to wear one as well. Ashlee explained everything she was doing thoroughly and made sure I let her know what I was looking for. Both my lashes and brows came out AMAZING (and they were a hot mess when I walked in). She also gave me a nice aftercare kit. Ashlee really takes her time which is a great thing, but pay attention to the time she tells you and be prepared to be there a while [my lash set and brows took a little over 3 hours]. Also, extra stars for the most AMAZING playlist going throughout my service -- Luther Vandross, Aaliyah, Usher, Mariah Carey, Lloyd.. whew! Yeah, there is no photo evidence of that because I completely screwed them up (think hooks for eyebrows). So ever since then, I don't touch my eyebrows. I've always paid to get them wax/threaded/tweezed. It's always been a struggle finding someone who can handle my full eyebrows without leaving me bald or giving me a weird shape. About five years ago I found someone local who was able to work with my full brows. She had a one-style-fits-all approach for brows that happened to work for my brows. But then I started noticing that depending on her mood, she would take too much hair off or overarch my eyebrows. Then our schedules were hard for me to schedule appointments. So eight months ago I was on the search for another brow artist. I found one through Yelp in NYC close to my job and stuck with her for 5 months hoping that she would be able to one day get the shape right. After 5 months of money down the drain, I searched for another local brow artist on Yelp and found Cynthia. I was praying to the brow gods to help me out. After months of inconsistent eyebrows and not feeling my best (I already mentioned I'm an eyebrow feign), in one session I felt like a brand new woman. I'm so happy I found Cynthia and a bonus is she's super close to my house. I've never written a review for either of my past two eyebrow ladies because I felt that although I liked my brows, something wasn't right about them. They were either too arched or too thin. I am beyond pleased with the outcome and she is worth every single penny. I've only been twice (one was a touchup) but I felt like I had to write a review. I'm totally coming back.
