I knew that my lashes wouldn't be glamorous but I also didn't think that after the service the results would look as if I had slept on them. I had looked at other photos prior to booking and the results looked great for a lift. I understand my lashes aren't as long as the photographed ladies but at very least I expected to walk out of there hinting that I had something done. Only a couple of my lashes curled and the others kinda look the same. I'm hoping after 24hrs when I use mascara they'll be better but I'm also concerned that the few that actually lifted will drop and this will be the worst $100 spent. Demi is very inviting and has a warm personality which makes the experience at DemiStudio even more pleasant. Initially, I told her what lip color I was interested in, and she suggested a different color based on my skin tone-- something more coral/orange-hued which I would've never thought to have. I'm so glad she suggested it because it came out beautiful! During the entire process she constantly checked her work and it did not feel rushed compared the last person I went to in 2023. I have to say out of the few who have done my brows in the past, Demi is the only one who suggested NOT to use a numbing agent and explained the reasons why. Apparently going without numbing allows the pigment to be absorbed more into the skin, reduces bruising/swelling, and has better overall color accuracy. I have a pretty high threshold for pain so I took her suggestion to forgo numbing. The pain was bearable and worth it, which I compare to bad sunburn. Before leaving I already had it on my mind that I wanted to come in for a touchup and when I told her, she said it may not be necessary though if I insisted, I could always reach out in 5 weeks for a touchup appointment. I greatly appreciate her honesty to not push more work on me than what I needed. Granted I still contacted her for a touchup and she was very accommodating with her schedule. Almost exactly 1 year later and the color on both brows & lips are still pretty vivid! The coral/orange lip color is especially still going strong with little-to-no fading. Additionally, she works alone in her beautifully aesthetic and serene studio so you are not interrupted by sounds of other people. I highly recommend Demi for her work, customer service, and professionalism. Thank you Demi!

During the service, I experienced clear indications of improper technique and negligent care: Excessive Heat: The applied beeswax felt excessively hot, indicating an improper temperature setting. Aggressive Removal: The removal of the wax sheet by the esthetician was noticeably aggressive and forceful. Immediate Pain & Acknowledgment: Immediately after the wax removal, I informed the esthetician, Treasure, that the areas above and between my eyebrows were extremely painful. Negligent Aftercare: I questioned whether a proper post-wax cleanser (such as rubbing alcohol) had been used. Treasure confirmed that "No" such cleanser was applied. I was only advised to use a generic ointment and Vitamin E oil. Upon returning home, the painful area above and between my eyebrows became severely red and inflamed. I subsequently confirmed that the skin in these blotches-on both sides above the brow and between the brows-had been physically lifted and removed (skin abrasion/burn). Current State of Injury: The damaged area has progressed from red to pink and is now a noticeable brown/hyperpigmented color. Permanent Damage: The injury to the skin, particularly above the left eyebrow, remains visible even after two professional consultations, indicating permanent damage and a high risk of long-term scarring.
