We loved being able to sit outside and see the Lake. The food was delicious - once we got it. A bit of constructive criticism....work on shorter time from ordering until serving. I didn't time it but our food took 45 minutes to 1 hour....for a wrap, fish fry. I ordered potato skins but was told they'd take too long??? arrive after our dinner??? Fortunately, the view was great, nice evening and with great company so we were okay.......but mildly irritated. Will return and hope that issue has been resolved. read more

weve come to Lures now three times so far and I'd say place is awesome for coming to grab bite to eat at if you are a big fan of hang out somewhere down by the lake, we ended up coming to the place for a little while today this afternoon and the place was quiet for the time being, I can most certainly say our server Angelina was awesome, very attempted to detail and most certainly very well attentative for sure and we were sure to leave her the best tip before we took off! one of my favorite things to get at the place is your Carolina gold wings and our server Angelina had mentioned that she had actually tried using some of the Carolina gold sauce recently like a salad dressing and my father had gotten grilled chicken salad and I had a little bit of what he couldn't finish and I decided to try it with some of the Carolina gold wing sauce and I'd say it was very well satisfying. since it was quiet and there had not been a whole lot going on while we were there for a little while this afternoon our server Angelina was even great to briefly chat with some while it wasn't so crazy at the place just yet and I think you all are very lucky to have people like Angelina with you guys this season. We had a lovely dinner here tonight! So glad I listened to the most recent reviews. This place is a gem along Lake Ontario. The wait staff were so nice, friendly and courteous. I started with a yummy margarita, followed by a delicious prime rib dinner, cooked to perfection. And the view from the waterfront booth was amazing! This restaurant is beautiful inside, so glad we found it. We are from Southern California, however, I would definitely come here the next time I'm in Rochester New York. read more

I read the one and only Yelp review and got nervous. I started with a specialty martini and it kept getting better. Brunch on a winter Sunday, I quickly found out that the chef and the menu had recently changed. The chef came out to chat and we found out that the menu offerings change weekly. All the items were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I don't like salmon at all but this was not fishy, moist and flaky. I would go back for the waffles which are known as sugar cone waffles, they crisp up just a bit on the outside and taste so much like ice cream sugar cones. The penne and vodka sauce was creamy, had tender tomato chunks and tasted of the diced pancetta in it. Ok, one more.... the duck potstickers were great and the house chili sauce addicting. read more

Pros: Nice decor, view of lake nice, handicap accessible (via elevator), and good food. Cons: Extremely slow service, not enough staff, and very loud setting. My family and I decided to give this restaurant a shot. The place itself is nice decor-wise, however the place is very loud. You practically had to yell to be heard by others at the table. The first issue we ran into was they did not have enough menus for the amount of people there, we addressed this by using the menu on their Facebook page. My children ordered off the kids menu, my wife ordered one of the specials and I ordered the fish fry. The order process took a while as the staff appeared to be unable to handle the amount of customers they had. When our food arrived, there were issues. Each entree was missing one of it's side items. It took a while for the corrections to made. The food quality was good, everything was cooked properly. However, the service continued to be poor. I received one glass of water and was never offered a refill. The same held true for my wife and daughter. My son who had a soft drink, was offered refills multiple times. Apparently, water is hard to come by when we are near the lake.... We received our bill which was correct, but we had to flag down another person to process our payment as we waited at least ten minutes for our server to come back. Once our check was taken care of we promptly left to (a) get out of the noise and (b) be able to leave the restaurant. The food is good, but the service really did in this place. I may give it another try, but I would need to be really convinced that the service improved after this night. read more

Service was friendly and efficient. Very satisfied with my chicken wings, salad, and coffee. My friend's Beef on Weck with fries looked wonderful; she said it was! Reasonable prices. We had heard of this restaurant on the lake through radio advertisments. This was our second time here in the last few weeks. The first was a relaxing drink at the bar on a Saturday afternoon. The bartender was friendly and we thought worth coming back for dinner, we did notice it was rather loud considering it wasn't very busy. We went last night for dinner, we were sat quickly in the dinning area near the bar, it was extremely loud, the waitress apologized. The fish frys were very good and the server was nice. We like the place, it's close to home and will go back but we will ask to sit away from the bar or weather permitting outside. The loudness was the only thing we were unhappy about otherwise a very beautiful place worth a trip. read more

By far the WORST dining experience I've ever had. Went to dinner tonight with my husband and a couple friends of and thought we'd try someplace new. My husband and his friend ordered the steak which they said was good. However, myself and my friend both ordered the chicken and after taking a couple of bites I checked my food after having to really chew it to find that both my chicken & my friends were completely raw. Our waitress appeared undertrained and was quite rude. When the soups/salads came I politely said that we were missing a soup and in response the waitress rolled her eyes and gave the table attitude telling me I was wrong and did not order a soup. I've worked in dining and I can tell you whether I did or did not, that is not how you treat a customer. I was appalled by how she spoke to me and her body language even when we simply asked for one more soup. When we informed her that the chickens were raw she snatched the plates and walked away without letting us say anymore. After a few minutes my friend had to go to the bar since our waitress left without saying a word. My friend and I ended up not eating dinner and when the bill came the waitress dumped the bill and never said a word to us. In positive: the head waitress came over to speak to the table, was very pleasant and apologized for the experience we had. Unfortunately we will not be returning... friend and I both had food poisoning that night/following day. read more

Should have taken a hint and left. Half the food on the menu weren't available. We all ordered fish, veggies, garlic mashed potatoes. Went for Mother's Day brunch and it was extremely disappointing. I'm not even a mom and it was an awful experience. Buffet was sloppily set up in the middle of the bar area . That made it hard to get $6 warm mimosa which was basically just orange juice in a small glass. The food was nothing better than a hotel complimentary breakfast. The only thing they have going for them in their view of the water. Also heard the bar tender say they ran out of Bloody Mary mix. We went last evening, party of 5 and we were seated right away. The restaurant was busy but the room we were in was maybe half occupied. The restaurant is noisy, the bar area even worse. I am guessing our server was new?, you could hardly hear her, she didn't know of any specials, didn't refill water unless you asked. We received our drinks in a timely fashion and shortly after gave our dinner order. And we waited and drank, and waited and waited. A table for 2 that arrived after us got their food and we waited. Finally I flagged her down, she was good at avoiding her tables being focused on one thing at a time, and I told her we needed a few refills and were we going to eat tonight?, another waitress came over and tried to explain something about this room is the overf room and the kitchen was an hour and a half behind, whatever, whatever. Seriously??? No one thought to say something before now? Finally our food arrived, it was good and it was hot. We ate but before we were completely finished the room was being cleaned and we felt rushed to get out. We waited over 2 hours to get our food, we should be able to eat it At our leisure. We have visited Lure's several times over the last months and must say that the venue is fantastic: phenominal views of Lake Ontario and the boats in the marina from both the indoor and outdoor veranda tables. This is a pretty new establishment and early on the service was not great, but they have consistently improved and the food has always been top notch. Saturday night enjoyed a prime rib as good as any I have ever tasted. Service was excellent, wine choices are moderate and there is a huge bar if you just wanted to stop in for an app and a drink to enjoy the view. Worth the drive on the Parkway to Kendall ! read more

Being a new restaurant there are several areas where more training is needed, but the owners and management are working diligently to improve all service aspects throughout the restaurant. We went last night and had trouble getting the correct bill, this morning I checked and I was billed twice; two different amounts. I am still waiting for a call back from them. We went on Fathers day for brunch; had a 10:00 am reservation for seven people. We were seated at 10:30 and ordered breakfast.
