Yes, it's a cute, creative concept architecturally, but the lighting was too dark for Sunday noontime. And the food and especially brunch fare were nothing special. Carb heavy and very few healthy options, although plenty of exotic drinks. Why not just be a bar and not try to be a coffee bar/cafe? Coffee was decent but not outstanding. Nothing but plain bagels available and my scrambled egg looked like something out of a Dr. Seuss story. Oh well, I did a taste test and found it WAS actually edible. My friend enjoyed her Korean Bowl, so that made the trip a success. The bathroom is the true test of quality in any culinary establishment. Fancy hand soap, Very clean, but no toilet paper or paper towels. I had to ask.

We chose the dining room area because it was cozier and certainly quieter. The had speciality cocktails and our party of four each ordered a different one. All were very good. We were informed that it was just around the corner. We strolled Medina's quaint Main St. to our dining destination. It has a narrow front but stretches back from Main for a great distance. The bar is very unusual. The name Mile 303 comes from the fact that Medina is 303 miles from New York Harbor via the historic Erie Barge Canal. That explained the unusual bar. The Bar is actually a Stylized Map of The Canal. Our Server delivered an impressive menu of drink options. They had everything Beer, Wine, Cocktails and Hard Cider. The Food Menu was not extensive but that is not a bad thing. My Wife picked out the Tacos. She informed me that they were quite different and quite tasty. I ordered The Bolonaise. I got extra wide pasta and a very nice sauce. Like many restaurants in Niagara and Orleans Counties this place is farm to fork. I am going back to this Restaurnt when the opportunity arises.

I simply want to keep it all to myself...but as an Elite Yelper, I feel an inordinate moral calling to share this great, super fun, place! It is a tiny, tiny place (hence, the first part of its name.) Maximum capacity of about 35 people. It has an outside volleyball court and a great outside deck on which you can enjoy a cool upscale beverage, or a Coors Light....literally it is that kind of place, something for everyone!!!! On a beautiful day, what a place to spend the afternoon for some fabulous burgers and the libation of your absolute choice! Now for the GREAT stuff. Amazing burgers. Like Amazing. Juicy, flavorful. Yum. Cozy tables and high tops with stools and a decent sized bar inside, then the nice deck, outside. The locals clearly know about this place and they have kept it a DEEP SECRET. I understand. It is a prize and if I were them, I would do the same. We heard about this cubbyhole, randomly, through rumor. Then we found it on Facebook. Our car driving group made arrangements to have a happy hour on a beautiful, sunny, fall Saturday following a rally style drive around WNY. The owner, Jennifer, was wonderfully accommodating when contacted in advance, agreeing to prepare a happy hour offering for us from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon, with special burger sliders and fry baskets for our drivers as appetizers, as we finished our rally style drive and rolled into Stafford New York in waves. We took over the Tiny Piney for a two hour period. Total fun. Steph, the master mixologist who totally dominates the Tiny Piney's unique bar, developed two specialty cocktails for our group. One was called the Pink Cadillac Margarita, and the other was called the Road Trip Cold Brew. Both. Were. Incredible. My driving group, The Western New York Drivers, are a great group of folks who love cars--from the very high end supercars and exotics to classics to muscle cars. Our drivers who are of all walks of life, were all so impressed with the incredible hospitality offered by The Tiny Piney, and their warm and welcoming group of local patrons. It is not every day that millions of dollars worth of cars driven by strangers, roll into a tiny bar in upstate Western New York, but the Tiny Piney handled it in total stride and arranged in advance for great parking on the lawn of the neighboring car business for our cars. Just perfect. My husband and I live 50 minutes from this hidden gem, and mark my words, we will be back before driving season's end, with or without our larger ensemble....as soon as possible! Thank you Steph and Jennifer for a warm welcoming Tiny Piney hug!

When my wife and I were going to be making a random stop in Belleville for a couple nights, I did…read moremy thing and looked up what to do and eat while in town. I'm from an even smaller town, so I'm used to short lists for those things, but I was glad when I randomly came across The Lark. It wasn't on one of the review sites or a travel blog, but just simply perusing the downtown landscape on Google Maps. Their space on Bridge Street is airy and spacious, but the small footprint keeps things intimate, with a stunning bar that beckons to slake your thirst. Although the restaurant's name isn't on-the-nose Italian, the menu is very much so. With a handful each of primi, secondi and dolci, chances are that you won't suffer from choice paralysis while ordering, but what they have is nonetheless quite enticing. Burrata is always an easy choice, especially at a restaurant like The Lark where you know you're going to get good quality cheese and accoutrements. They didn't disappoint! The milky, semi-solid cheese paired well with tender hunks of sweet butternut squash and the crisp savouriness of fried sage. Pomegranate seeds and hazelnuts brought some sweetness and crunch, while house-made sourdough was good enough to be eaten on its own. For my main, I went with the beef cheek pappardelle. The succulent shreds of cheek took the place of ground beef in the rich Bolognese, and my taste buds were all the better for it. The fresh pappardelle was luxuriously tender, with its delicate folds sopping up all that delicious sauce. Rounded out with parm and basil, it shows that you don't have to recreate the wheel to make an excellent dish. My wife's brown butter gnocchi was no slouch either, with a decadent cream sauce, and nice hint of char to the lovely and light pasta pillows. Not to be beaten, the apple cobbler was absolutely amazing. Definitely sized for two, but no judgment if you solo it, every part was fall dessert perfection. Service was wonderfully knowledgeable on the food and drink side, as well as friendly and easygoing. I was getting strong owner-vibes, but I'm too lazy to do the amount of Googling required for a confirm. The Lark is getting done dirty by the algorithm on the major review sites and if they won't loudly announce their possession of the title as "best restaurant in Belleville", I sure will.

I've gone back again since my first time visiting to try a few more things. The Beef Cheek Pappardelle was my overall favourite, but the Beef short rib was a close second. Each dish has elevated twist, and the price is so reasonable and even generous for the quality. Cocktails are excellent (lots of line-ups). They also serve nice choices of local craft beers on tap. We ordered: (Food) #Cast Iron Baked Brie fresh baked brie with house-made wild berry compote, candied pecans, prosciutto, garlic crostini $17 : This served as perfect appetizer for 3 of us. Enjoyable. Variety of ways to enjoy the baked brie. #Canadian Striploin 7oz striploin, garlic herb mashed potatoes, grilled seasonal vegetables: We tried different & great steak dish here before, and this one is also EXCELLENT - the on-point seasonings, perfectly med-rare. Roasted veggies and mashed potato leave its own flavour and texture with right amount of seasonings. #Stuffed Mushroom Ravioli stuffed with wild mushrooms, tossed in a beurre blanc sauce, topped with fresh Parmesan: I wished the ravioli itself had more mushroom-forward flavor, and the wrapper had more delicacy (in terms of thickness and texture). However, I loved the beurre Blanc sauce - it was foamy - making the butter-ly and creamy sauce feel light in the mouth. Nice hint of tangy-ness. #Herb Crusted Salmonwith garlic herb mashed potatoes, grilled seasonal vegetables, and beurre blanc sauce: The same sauce as ravioli, that matched with salmon well. (Cocktails) #Fig Fizz: With Durham distillery Gin, Raspberry Liqueur, fig jam, lemon juice, honey syrup, soda # Lavender cosmopolitan # Passion Prosecco Martini # Spicy Hibiscus Margarita All the cocktails were presented beautifully. Today's highlight was Spicy Hibiscus Margarita. (Dessert) Chocolate Espresso Martini Cake rich vanilla cake, mascarpone, house-made chocolate espresso mousse $10: Essentially, tiramisu. lol. Nicely presented. This place is versatile for us. Just for snack, just for cocktails, just for local beer, and elevated food experiences. Promising satisfying experience in each occasion. So blessed to have this place in my neighbourhood.

The parking lot here is plenty big and there were plenty of spots when we pulled in around 12:30pm on a Thursday. The building isn't fancy, the interior comes off a little dated (men's bathroom could use a deep clean) but it's surprisingly spacious with plenty of tables and booths. We walked in and were greeted by a friendly young woman at a counter who grabbed a couple menus and led the two of us to a booth. It didn't take long for our waitress to come over with waters and gave us a few minutes to browse the menu. Be ready to have some decision paralysis as this menu is HUGE! There're tons of sandwiches, burgers, wraps, melts, salads, entrees, etc., in addition to the daily specials. My mom had been here a few times before for work lunches, so she already knew what she wanted, but it took me a second. Our waitress was incredibly courteous, pleasant and she was plenty patient with me! Our waitress made sure to check on us periodically throughout our meal. Once our orders were placed, we sat and chatted for maybe 10-15 minutes before our food came out - I was very surprised how quick it was! For lunch, I ordered the BBQ Chicken Finger Super Melt with a side of french fries. The description of the BBQ Chicken Finger Super Melt is pretty self-explanatory: crispy chicken fingers covered in BBQ sauce, bacon, and cheddar jack cheese between grilled sourdough with a side of ranch dressing to dip in. It may sound basic, but wow, this was REALLY tasty! There had to be three or four meaty chicken fingers in there and they were fresh out of the fryer. There was a generous amount of a sweeter-style BBQ sauce on the chicken fingers but it wasn't overpowering. Between chewy and crispy, the bacon leaned chewier but still had a little crisp to it, no complaints from me. This super melt was super cheesy, delish! The cup of ranch on the side was an awesome touch - I drizzled a bit on top before each bite. And the side of french fries were excellent - Right out of the fryer hot and perfectly golden crispy, one of the better side of fries I've had in a long time. For around $13.00 (as of 05/2026), this quality and size of the melt with fries was excellent, I was perfectly full as we paid for our meal at the front counter. I'm really impressed with Village House Restaurant! It's not fancy but the staff were very friendly and the food was hot and fresh.
