My NEW favorite place! Usually i am not a fan of being followed around a store as soon as I enter, but here the sales people are just so damn nice! The smell of yummy goodness fills the air at least 5 stores away and I know that Lush is near. I have tried their fresh face masks (HEAVEN), the Volcano foot mask (your feet are extra soft after) and for the first time ever, I bought henna hair dye to try out. I tried the "Caca Rouge mama" henna dye...the brightest of the bright and fell in love. The color is just amazing. It is a little on the expensive side, but I do think that some of the products are worth it. I will be back Lush! :-) read more

I usually get really annoyed when I go into A Lush shop because the employees are often too eager to help and won't leave you to shop on your own, which his my personal preference. While this Lush location also has overly-attached employees, I find that they are much more personable and sincere than employees of other locations. They don't give me forced compliments on what I'm wearing or my hair just to make a sale. These employees seem very knowledgable about the products and always take it a step further than describing the product directly from the description card. They give great tips on how to get the best use out of your products as well. I like being asked if I want to sample a product as opposed to just getting my hand shoved into a sink (which has happened at other locations) and lathered up. The lush products are brilliant. In love with "King of Skin." I swear I don't need to moisturize for 3 days after using it! The bath products are phenomenal. They're great when you realize you deserve a good pampering session. I love a good bath cocktail and my go to right now is "Big Blue" + "Sunnyside" + "Floating island." Yay mermaid water! Sometimes I would appreciate if the employees would let you shop on your own when you request/hint at it. If I have questions I am more than willing to ask and Lush is always there to answer. But most of the time, I just want to smell things and if they smell nice, trust me, I'm buying! I don't walk into a lush unless i know I'm about to do some damage. 4 stars for friendliness, helpfulness, consistent products and variety. Don't come here on a weekend. Unless you enjoy being surrounded by teenagers who want to test everything and giggle at the sex bath bomb. My first trip in was exactly this, and was so mobbed, I barely had room to panic. Fortunately some wonderful employee whom I couldn't even recognize if I tried due to social anxiety tunnel vision saw my overwhelmedness and asked what I needed. I might have shouted "OLIVE BRANCH BIG BOTTLE PLEASE" and was nearly instantly handed said bottle. I paid and ran out clutching my goods. The second time was much more relaxed, as I specifically chose a weeknight to stop in. My face has of late been rather oily and bothersome (insert joke here about if my face is killing me). Honor (I admittedly misheard "Otter" and we got a good laugh out of it) greeted me and saw my look of, "oh crap, what exactly do I need?" and asked what I was looking for. I told her I have sensitive skin, it's been oily and breaking out, AND I'm allergic to lavender. Yeah, that last one is a bitch. She immediately grabbed Noah who apparently knows every ingredient in every product Lush has ever made and he was right when he said we're lucky to have him. Most of Lush's products contain lavender, and he found the one face wash (aside from the one I already use) that doesn't contain lavender. Noah grabbed a couple things for me to try, such as the aqua marina face wash, which he tried out on my arm. He also used the breath of fresh air toner (which I already use and love) with the celestial lotion, and I highly doubt anyone has ever had an arm that smelled as good or felt as soft as mine. I somehow managed to exert some willpower and only purchased a small pot of the aqua marina, and Noah sent me home with a sample of the celestial so I can test the products together for a few days, as well as a sample of the it's raining men body wash which MY GOD smells like honey descended from whichever heavens you believe in. I live in Sac but there's a fair chance I'll be driving back out to Roseville to get my fix. read more

It's so fun to go into a Lush and talk product with the staff. They immediately know that you're a "lushy" and want to show you all the newest things and compare notes with you. This location had a station set up where they would give you a demo. They'll even entertain your kids million and one questions about bath bombs and soaps. Me and my boyfriend went a week ago. I wanted to get the celestial face lotion and the sympathy for the skin. And while we were in the store we had a nice lady who helped us. After I got the two lotions we started browsing the store and that's when I noticed that the tall blonde employee was staring at us. She then told a girl with pink hair to start following us to make sure we weren't stealing. This girl came up to us asked if we needed anything and I said no and she literally WALKED us to the register. As if we were going to run out with the products. One star for good products. One star for the ONE sales associate that was actually nice and helpful to me, when the other two weren't. That's being extremely generous. I walked in looking for lip scrub, and I was there for a good 5 min looking lost. The rude white sales associate complete walks past me and goes to a group of white teenage girls and is extremely friendly with them. As I go to pay, I say "Hi" to the cashier and put down the lip scrub on the counter. The cashier (another white woman) doesn't even say anything to me, looks me up and down, walks away from me, gives the rude white sales associate above a look, and has her complete my transaction. WTF?!?!?! First of all, I'm sorry you didn't get a good job somewhere else and you're probably stuck working in malls for the rest of your life. And I'm sorry that I'm not a teenage white girl with blond hair and blue eyes, but that's still no reason for you girls to be racist, stuck up bitches to customers. read more

I had never gone or used a Lush product until I visited this location inside the Galleria. Much like people are excited being in an Apple Store, I felt that excitement in Lush. It helped that their staff was also excited about Lush, too. Fresh Handmade .. a sticker of the person that made that particular product is on said product. Products for skin, hair, cosmetic, .. oh joy! While at the store, the staff demonstrated their best selling products on my arm. I loved it. I bought it. It's expensive.. but, I loved it. I even bought one of their boxes that had a combination of products as a gift for a friend. So, if you haven't been.. at least visit the store and have them demonstrate a few things for you. OR! buy someone a gift.. They'll love it! Lush also has a recycling program for their containers and outlines all that they believe in sustainability, fighting animal cruelty, and all that is green and great. Love this place (and all Lush shops really), but the smell of Lush always beckons me when I'm at the Galleria. The girls in this particular shop are very helpful as well. Don't be shy, come on in and ask questions. They're eager to answer and teach you all about Lush. I've been using Lush for 13-14 years, since they were mail-order only out of Canada. I've always been very happy with the products. Love the bath bombs of course, but since my apartment is currently bathtub-less, I've been using more of the shower and massage products. The vanilla massage bar is my favorite. You can use it for moisture and to give your skin a bit of a glow because of the cocoa butter. Most underrated product? The shower jellies! They are funny little squishy body soap things, but I do as a Lush salesgirl suggested and keep it in my freezer during the summer. It won't freeze, but it does feel oh so good. They clean just as well as the regular soaps but seem to leave a longer-lasting fragrance. They have one that smells like their Sex Bomb, very pretty and feminine. The Coalface facial cleansing bar is another favorite. It exfoliates incredibly well and makes the skin squeaky-clean. (Literally, your face will make squeegee noises). Don't overlook the Christmas-time goodies either. They have pre-boxed and wrapped value giftsets and their regular items make great stocking stuffers or small gifts for your hairstylist, etc. Plus they have all kinds of delicious scents that time of year, like cinnamon, ginger, and peppermint. read more

I love Lush so much but the customer service here was the worst I've ever seen. Usually you walk into Lush and the employees are always bubbly and very informative and helpful, but when I walked in there was nothing. There was a young girl behind the desk who just stood there the whole time and didn't come talk to anyone or ask if they needed anything which is fine, I already knew what I wanted. What upset me was that she was very stand-offish and giving dirty looks and when I paid I said "thank you have a good day" and I got no response. When I was a teenager I used to order the LUSH News and wanted to try everything, now I can! I'm addicted! I love all of the products, especially the bath fizzers! Sex bomb is the best! The Too Drunk shower thing is also awesome if you don't feel like taking a bath. The King of Skin, in shower lotion bar is great, it makes my tattoos pop and moisturizes my chronically dry skin. The Wicky massage bar is the best too, it's great for a massage, and even better for everyday use.... the smell is cinnamony and delicious!!! They will show you how all of the things work and try things on you too if you ask, it's so fun in there! There isn't one item I don't like in this store, from colorful bath bombs (about $6 a pop, the best one is the sex bomb) to skin cleansers to exfoliants to bar shampoo and conditioners. I can't go into this store without leaving with a handful of new, natural, free from animal testing cosmetic items I'm sure to love. The store is tiny so don't bring your strollers. My husband got me hooked on this place, (he's a huge fan of the bath bombs here). Every time we come in here now, we end up leaving with about 6 bath bombs, soaps, and other bath essentials. The sex bomb is a MUST if you are going to get anything. It has a great smell, doesn't have sparkles added to it, and will really relax you in the bath. I love Lush! Whenever I have some extra money to spend, I will always go here and treat myself to a face mask, bath soap, or something for my hair. There are so many reasons to love Lush but these are my top reasons: 1) They let you sample so much!! I went in there once and was able to take home samples of several items that I wanted to try out. And the sample wasn't just a dab that would last you a day or two, but rather, some of those lasted me a whole week or two! You just have to know how much you need! It is great that they let you sample, cause when I went back, I knew exactly what I wanted and I knew that it would work for me. 2) Their ingredients are animal/cruelty free! I love how fresh it smells/ feels compared to other brands. It's as close to nature as you can get! I love knowing I'm not hurting any animals by buying these products and that I'm not rubbing random/harmful chemicals on my body! 3) The ladies are so amazing! They are always so sweet to me! I'm always greeted right when I walk in, even if they are slammed with people! They answer all my questions to the best of their abilities. They really help make it a fun shopping trip! 4) There are so many fun products in their store but my all time favorite item there is by far: Mask of Magnaminty! Lush products really stand out and speak for themselves once you've used them, but I will say the real catalyst for becoming a Lush loyalist has to do with the girls who work at this location. For many years I stuck to the bath bombs and bubble bars and really didn't get into all the AMAZING body and face care products until I went shopping at this location for a mother's day gift. The associate who helped me was so genuinely friendly. I normally avoid help if I can because I don't always have the highest hopes for retail interactions, but this girl made it super easy for me to want her to help me. I walked out with an awesome basket of goodies for my mom and some samples of my own to try out. I've since been back multiple times and they have helped to fit me with a new face care regime and body care regime. They really listen and make trying all the product so much fun! I have always loved visiting this store and have spent hundreds of dollars here over the years...not too impressive considering the prices but still. I have always encountered friendly sales people... but then I had a baby. Goodbye customer service! This morning I went in specifically to get some fun bath items for my 1 1/2 year old son. He was very excited oohing and ahhhing over the colors and smells. We were the only customers in the store. The only sales woman (a pretty blonde in her early thirties) raised an eyebrow and asked from behind the counter (and on her phone) if we were looking for anything specific. I couldn't hear her over the music and across the store. "I'm sorry?" I asked, leaning an ear in. She rolls her eyes and repeats herself a tad louder but doesn't move any closer to us on the other side of the store. "Yes, actually I'm looking for some fun bath things for my son." I say with a smile. She nods straight faced and then goes back to her phone. Retail fail. Wowsers. We look around for a while trying to find a few things. My son then excitedly grabs a bath bomb and runs a few feet over to show me. He trips and the bath bomb rolls away. His lip is quivering; he's embarrassed and ready to cry. Sales woman looks up from her phone. "Did it break?" she asks with a grimace. Retail fail. Human kind fail. She asks louder and more annoyed "Did it break?!" "No, it didn't break." I say. Unbelievable. My child is ok too, thanks. By the way, if you don't want kids to touch your bath bombs perhaps you shouldn't have sparkly, neon smell-goody robots in multiple baskets 4 inches off the floor! I was fuming so we just left without a word, even though drove there specifically to get Lush products. I was so stunned at the rudeness and un-helpfulness of this woman, especially since (pre-child) everyone else I've encountered there has been so helpful and sweet. Note: we DID go back to the store an hour later when I noticed the same woman sitting outside the store on her break. I ran in and got what I came for. I didn't want to waste my trip down there but damn it, I gotta tell you: I felt gross making my purchase. I don't like mean people and I REALLY don't like handing mean people money. I'd give this place 1 star for my experience there today but that hardly seems fair considering my overall positive history with this store. I LOVE LUSH. I no longer have to shop around and try different face and bath products since i have found Lush. I dig the sugar scrubs, the toner sprays, the SOAPS, lotions, toner tabs, and coal face wash. My boyfriend also loves all the shower and face wash which makes it a win/win. The staff is always helpful and willing to show and explain to you all the products. Almost zero complaints. Everything is fresh and many are free of chemicals and additives. They do use parabens in a lot of their products, though, which is a little out of the box considering they tout themselves as all natural. Everything that's vegan is marked well so I know what is ok to buy and what is not. I'm a huge fan of their bath bombs, lotions, bubble bars, and emotibombs. When someone's birthday is coming up and I forgot about it or I don't know what to get them, I always go here. They have great gift packs, or you can create your own gift, and the staff is helpful and friendly. They also have fun events sometimes on Saturdays where they do giveaways and showcase new products. On Friday, April 6th at the Roseville Galleria, I recieved one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. My friends and I took a trip for one of their birthdays. We live in Reno and drove two hours to be immediately greeted and given a rundown of the products. The employees that helped us were, Oliver, Erin, and Honor. They made this trip worth while. They gave suggestions for our hair and skin care. Asking questions that uncovered what we needed. I was given a couple of testers and was demoed on, which I bought everything they used on me. I went nuts, buying shampoo, bath bombs, face masks, and OMG the jellies. I just want to make sure they would be recognized for the wonderful service my friends and I recieved. I have a love hate relationship with this place. Think "unhealthy codependent relationship from a Lifetime movie" and you'll get the idea. I've lost track of how much stuff I've bought from this place. As such, I've lost track of how much money I've spent there, but that's probably for the best. That all being said...this place is more or less the greatest place IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. No ifs, ands, or buts. I wasn't even into things like face scrubs and such normally - I barely used them, or when I did, I just grabbed whatever was cheapest off the shelf at CVS. Oh Lush, how do I love thee! I've worked in various bath products stores, so I'm familiar with various soaps/lotions/potions that are available, but Lush is my favorite for soap and bath goodies. I don't think I've ever come out of this store empty handed. The staff is sweet and is always demoing what a bath bomb means for newbies, which is always amusing for the boyfriend when we comes along. Which is also a plus ladies, my boyfriend loves this store and smelling all the things. Honey I Washed the Kids, and Honeybee bath bomb are my favorites, along with some scrubbing action from the Buffy bar. read more

The other day I went into this location of lush. I have had some bad acne problems lately and was looking to find a product that would help my very difficult skin. Mariè was the very kind woman who helped me. I went in there with no clue on what I wanted and she showed me different products and even gave me samples of ones I wasn't sure about. I ended up walking out with a few things and a few samples. Now the reason I want to leave 5stars is because not only was it amazing customer service which I find in retail is hard to find, but the products she has suggest to me has changed my world! I was house boating for five days and took my charity pot and my skin feels amazing and even with a sun burn it's not dry at all! Plus my acne has cleared up quite a bit!! read more

Normally when I go to Lush ALL of the employees are very friendly! I shop at both the Roseville and Arden locations. Today for the very first time I experienced an extremely unfriendly employee. I love their products and the fact that I can have a small sample before buying most of their products as they are not inexpensive.
