Heard Lush was doing a promo for making your own bath bomb a couple weeks ago so naturally had to stop by to check it out! Kass helped me out. Was cool to get the full backstory on products & the company itself as well as being able to leave with a free bath bomb (which I have since used & holy shiiiiiit, talk about relaxing). Honestly don't usually go into Lush because it is kind of overwhelming & I want everything, but idk what is what... I also don't want to be the person to ask 300 million questions cause I work in the industry & it's just fucking annoying lol However, Kass insisted that allllll questions be asked & really dive deep with me. Great customer service. Store always smells wonderful. So many different ones from the treasure trove of shampoos, soaps, bath bombs, lotions, etc etc. They have limited seasonal items as well as items carried year-round. I'm not going to list the items they have. There's too much. You just have to go in and see (and smell) for yourself. It's all part of the experience. read more

Dropping my rating to 3 stars because I can't go in here without getting a sales associate trying to upsell me on products I don't need or want. These are one of those moments where I wish I were treated "rudely" so no sales associate can accost me on stuff I "should" want. This past weekend was the final straw. I came in here with the intention to buy a some gifts for a friend and myself. Instead of being able to peacefully browse, I was pressured to look at items that I did not want to buy (even though the girl kept on insisting it would be a good buy, despite the $50 price tag), which forced me to leave empty handed. What a shame, I would have bought a bunch of other products at my leisure that would've been equivalent to that price tag. I love Lush, but I hate that this company forces their employees to push products on customers--which may not even suit their needs or budget--just so they can keep their jobs. The whole forcing people to buy reminds me of those pyramid scheme companies like Mary Kay or Cutco. read more

I absolutely love the staff that works at lush! Specifically the incredibly helpful people who were working on 9/17/19 around 3:30 pm. I had come in wanting to get my fiance a special gift for being so supportive during my last job hunt and for just being all around awesome. I unfortunately am not particularly well versed in the language of cosmetics however the workers there served as wonderful translators. I gave them some of my fiances preferences (as well as allergies) and immediately was given a plethora of great gifts to purchase. Additionally I wanted to help my fiance with a breakout she has been experiencing and they even allowed me to customize the gift box I was getting. I also enjoyed being treated like a human and just having a regular conversation with the people working there. Unlike some larger chain stores I did not feel like I was being rushed out or just another credit card with legs. All in all it was a wonderful shopping experience, at no point did I feel uncomfortable despite not knowing anything about cosmetics, and most importantly my fiance ABSOLUTELY LOVED the gift. LUSH is great on the cruelty free, all natural, & hand made product front. I love the whole stores presentation, it's clean, organized and smells absolutely scrumptious!!! I want to taste everything, even though nothing is intended to be edible, lol. And the girls are always ready to help. I have to agree, the up sell is strong at this establishment. I personally don't feel pressured, but that's because I'm focused. Although, I can understand how some people would feel totally pressured to buy a whole bunch of products they didn't initially go in for. The sales associates differ in technique. Yes Yes YES!!!! I love LUSH products and this reviews comes from after visiting their Fashion Valley location and getting no customer service there. I walked into this location and I just automatically felt at ease. There is so much space, music was low and I could actually hear what the girls were saying when they were helping me! I feel so bad because I forget the girls names but I think their names were Taylor and Melody. I hope I am right. These girls are the best. I came in and found a set that I found at the Fashion Valley location and bought it here because I felt like they deserved my money and sales rather than the Fashion Valley location where it seemed to be like one big party. I came in and started looking at other stuff, and because I'm in a wedding in June, I wanted to know more about their face masks and scrubs. Everyone's got to look good so why not do it with natural healthy products! What I liked is that Taylor spent the time putting the product on my hands and arms and telling me about each one so that I knew what I was looking for when I came back to purchase my items. I first came across Lush at UTC and was delighted to know that all their products are handmade and 100% vegetarian.There is no doubt that fresh ingredients are best for the body (whether you choose to use them or eat them). Much of what is sold here is something Indians have been using as home remedies and cheaper alternatives for skin care since ages.I was very impressed with the masks which are made with fresh fruit, vegetables, butters, clays and the essential oils. The bath bombs are great and i also like the R&B hair moisturiser but it has a very strong smell of jasmine. The pricing i feel is a little steep for the products but they last for quite sometime.Also if you are into a little DIY you can just buy these fruits, vegetables (most of them are in your pantry right now) and you will be surprised by how much you can get done at home. I came here a couple of weeks ago to help my friend shop for her sister but I ended up making a couple of purchases myself :) This Lush is smaller than the ones that I've frequent before, but their service is top notch! I think this was the best service I've ever received at Lush. All of the sales staff were friendly, knowledgable, and pleasant. One of the girls that helped me with a face scrub took her time to show me the differences between a couple of scrubs. My hands felt instantly smoother afterwards :) I ended up choosing the Brazen Honey and was given a sample of the Ocean Salt. She was very engaging and another girl stopped by and chatted it up too. Very sweet. Of course they have cute little things displayed at the register ... I ended up grabbing one of the lip scrubs. I like it a lot, actually. It gives me a nice red tint to my lip afterwards, acting almost like a lip stain. It is really interesting though, scrub your lips a little bit then lick it off. Haha, pretty cool. Overall, love this location. I will be returning for all of my Lush product needs. read more

Looking for your favorite Lush products? They've got it all right here! I came in to pick up another fresh face mask and successfully left with only that. Why do I say successfully only that? It's because these sales associates will not stop bothering you about trying a new product or recommending products that will enhance whatever you were thinking about getting in the first place. It was really overwhelming when ya gurl was just trying to look around, albeit it may be considered "good" customer service. I'm sure they're really helpful for Lush newbies, but as someone who knows what they came in for- please stop trying to sell me more things because it truly does take away from the experience. Overall still had a great experience and I love how they're always on it when you ask for a sample of something. Most amazing smelling soaps in beautiful colors and shapes . I just love the lemon aqua soap suitable for oily to normal skin . This soap just hydrates my skin and has such a beautiful smell which just makes me feel super fresh . Fresh face mask : is my fav product there . Most of the face masks after use makes my skin dry and tight and I have to use extra bit of moisturizer to awaken it BUTTTttt... Fresh face mask are just perfect . I use cupcake which is mixture of chocolate,cocoa powder, sandalwood , essential oils - this is perfect for oily to normal skin . It removes the dirt n oil from my face but still leaves it hydrated . And my fav one I'd ROSY cheeks .. Wonderful smell , it is made of red rose petals and calamine powder , it instantly makes my skin looks clean , lifted and younger . Last night I had the worst "Lush" experience I've ever had in my life at this location. Every other store I've ever been to has had friendly staff that greeted and helped the customers. As a diehard Lush customer, I usually know exactly what I am looking for when I go in, but I've grown used to the excellent customer service I've received at other locations. Last night, my bf and I walked in so I could buy a few products. We were not greeted at all, which I was okay with because the two girls working were with other customers. As I looked around the store for the items I wanted, they never checked in to see if I needed help finding anything. In fact, I had to say excuse me just so I could reach the charcoal soap that I needed, which was blocked by a customer and store associate. After getting the things I needed (totaling well over $120) my bf and i went to the register. NO ONE CAME TO HELP US. Not only did we awkwardly stand there for several minutes waiting for someone to come check us out, we didn't get an "I'll be with you in a moment", NOTHING. After standing there for a while, we just left our products at the counter and walked out. The entire time we were in the store, we were not greeted, helped, or acknowledged- not even when we were just trying to check out and leave. I will NEVER go to this store again. read more

First time walking into this store in years. Never again. Lady at door - who later followed us in, acted like the mask police. My mask completely on and she several times reminded us masks need to stay on. The 3rd time I told her my mask IS on and she said, "Oh, well it looks like it's coming down." OMGoodness. Well, I hate giving bad reviews. Look, I am willing to overlook the lack of products in store because of the COVID crisis but bad customer service never. The first girl that "helped" me was so uninterested in showing me the products even after I told her it was my first time at the store. She had just helped another customer, so maybe she was exhausted? Anyway, she just showed me one kind of soap and went back to her sit. She did not bother to show me other products or telling me about their lip balms, creams, perfumes, etc. I mean my mother and I stood in front of the perfume section, and she could not be bothered showing us anything. I did not ask anything because I did not want to disturbe her during her work hours. I guess she was too busy with her computer. There was another curvy girl (I am sorry I cannot remember her name) at the cash register, and she was a sweetheart. She even gave me a sample of a body lotion called "sleepy," which was amazing. Anyway, by then honestly I was ready to leave the store. I was annoyed haha. BTW, the soap I ended up buying did not smell as well as it did in the store. I am thinking that because at the store you have to smell everything with your mask on (which is understandable), you probably end up smelling all the mixed scents from all the other products . Has a great crisp scent. Tiny 3oz bottle costs 10$. - Ro's Argan and African Paradise Body Conditioner : Works exactly like a hair conditioner. Apply and rinse off in shower. How cool is that?! Costs 30 - 40$. The good: ++ Wide range of skin, body and hair products. Smells and looks amazing! ++ Extremely generous with their samples. I love Lush for that! ++ Super friendly sales associates. Everyone was nice at the UTC location except this one sales lady who acted like she owned the place. She flung my sample across the counter. Not cool lady! The bad: -- Their products don't store well. The bath bombs lose their scent in a few weeks. -- Quite pricey. They do use natural ingredients but they also use synthetics, preservatives, SLS, parabens etc. I mean for a pseudo-natural cosmetic brand they are expensive. I prefer this Lush over the Fashion Valley one because it's never as crowded! YAY. The staff here are friendly without being pushy, and are really helpful and always willing to provide samples. They've definitely helped me answer some questions and pick out some beloved gifts! I suppose speaking about Lush as a company, I really love their vegan/cruelty free/reduce waste angle. I am willing to pay a little more to reduce my impact on the environment (I HOPE) and try to be a more mindful consumer. This is a small step and I am glad Lush is talking about it! Back to this location--they have everything you could want! It's organized well and easy to find whatever you're looking for. I like Lush. I like Lush especially since their I Love Juicy shampoo is only one I've used that doesn't freak my hair out with getting oily faster. I normally go to the one in Fashion Valley since it's closer to where I live, but since I was in the area with my Sister and I was out, I needed to get a new bottle. I came here to purchase that "I Love Juicy" Shampoo and the shampoo alone. So this trip should've been a quick one. I grabbed my item and went to the register. But instead the girl at the register was really adamant about upselling. She asked me if I wanted the larger size, and I replied, "No, just the Shampoo for me please." But then she started asking me more questions; if I wanted the conditioner, if I wanted to sign up for the newsletter, buy this, buy that, or join this program. Didn't she hear me when I said, "Just the shampoo?" I just let it go since this isn't the Lush I normally go to, but I was annoyed. When my Sister and I were leaving, I was telling her that the Associate was being a little annoying with the upselling, and she told me that she was getting annoyed at Lush too! My Sister was buying the Fresh Pharmacy Soap and requested $5 worth. The Associate charged her for $7 worth! The hell? It's like both Associates weren't listening to the customers. I'm giving this review 1 star simply because I LOVE LUSH products. However 1 star signifies the rating I want to give the service I recieved. The girls in the store are so eager to sell. I see them nod at each other everytime someone comes through the door and I understand you should be meeting some sort of goal or sales in a day but I want to look around. I moved from San Diego to the desert and I wanted to look around myself and find what I wanted myself. I had to tell like 5 girls who kept asking me what I wanted or needed and explaining every item to me when I tell them I've used lush products before and I know what products do what. This store is much much MUCH better than the Fashion Valley location. Unless you want to be relentlessly harassed into trying and purchasing products, you should avoid the Fashion Valley Lush location and shop here instead. Not only is this store quite a bit bigger, it is not overstaffed with obnoxious sales associates. I was able to leisurely browse the store and only after I'd made a loop and applied a confused look to my face did an associate come over and ask if she could help. I wasn't followed around the store, immediately approached by multiple sales people, or eyeball molested from across the store. I was actually able to relax and shop. What a concept! *side-eyes Fashion Valley Lush* The sales associate asked if I wanted to see their new products and when I respectfully declined, she respectfully and sweetly said "OK" and we headed for the cash register. I'm more convinced than ever that Lush Fashion Valley has major management and staffing issues. Lush UTC is much more comfortable for shopping. Backstory: I've always heard about Lush via the Internet and became obsessed with their website. I would always make imaginary shopping carts but never actually purchase anything because I couldn't find the balls to spend $80 worth of bath bombs. Especially since I shower since I'm too busy for the luxurious bubble baths. Anyways, I'm walking around UTC and totally freak out when I realize there is a Lish store in the flesh. I ran right in and became star struck as I was able to touch and smell everything I so desperately wanted to possess. It was super packed due to it being Easter weekend, but that didn't stop the associates from being super helpful. They even let me sample different scrubs and lotions on my arm. I ended up getting the Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub, a beard scrub for my brother, a massage bar with cocoa beans, and the cashier even threw in four free samples!! Heard good things about their products. Decided to check them out First of all I had to go up to someone & ask for help. I decided on a face mask, toner & cream. I noticed when I got him the mask expires in December. There's no way I'm getting through the whole jar by then. I left Lush feeling happy with my purchase and very impressed! This luxury body shop is the perfect place to come and pick a fun present for yourself or a friend. I went in not knowing what to get but was greeted by really enthusiastic and helpful staff! After picking out a gift set (Hello Gorgeous! with an awesome value of ~$40), she also went ahead and let me try everything in the box, being very informative and answering any questions I threw at her. To my delight, the facial moisturizer included in the gift set, "gorgeous facial moisturizer", had a lot of ingredients and I could identify- the good, natural things. It made me feel a lot better since one has to take a lot more precautions with anything concerning the face! The cashier line was a little bit long, but the cashier apologized for the wait and was super friendly. Would I recommend this place? I totally say yes! I love Lush. If I was ballin' I'd buy the whole freakin' store. I don't come in often because it is pretty expensive and their products last a really long time but I was buying gifts for my friend's birthday. At first it's kind of overwhelming with how attentive the sales associates are, but never to the point where it's annoying. Plus when I'm shopping for something specific I'd rather have someone there by my side to help me find exactly what I'm looking for. Maddy was extremely friendly and helped me pick out a few things for my friend. She asked me very specific questions about my friend and guided me through every product that she would be interested in. All of the lush employees also let you try on their products or demonstrate how to use them before you purchase! Very cool. My personal faves are the Angels on Bare Skin face wash and It's Raining Men body wash (smells like heaven) Awesome hand-made products and wonderful service at this location! read more

I am a LUSH connoisseur. Since 2010 I have been to many LUSH in America and other countries... From the Orlando Airport to multiple in Japan, and they are all full of friendly, joyous, and lively people always happy to show off the many amazing products no matter where you go. This store is no exception. Come here for the LUSH experience if you love natural and delicious smelling cosmetics including face creams, shampoos and conditioners, body creams, soaps, and so much more. I only gave this location 4 stars because even though everyone is entitled to their opinions as individuals, when businesses politicize their storefront it strikes a chord with me. This store in particular had. I'm not sure if it's a Cali thing, but welcoming refugees from Syria when it's controversial at this time doesn't seem like a good idea. To each their own. I love this company and this store. The energy of the staff is always amazing. The products are gama changing and beautifully ethical. Yesterday in particular Naima helped us, and of all the lovely people I've met there, she stood out. She's phenomenal. Passionate, knowledgeable, hilarious. SO cute! She slipped a small gift in or bag without my knowing, and a handwritten note detailing how much she enjoyed talking with me and my boyfriend. I left so happy for the rest of the day after talking to her... and of course with great products catered to our needs! Her energy is amazing and she deserves the world. Hannah, who was working a bath bomb demo in front of the store today, was breaking down her set up as I walked past the store late this afternoon. I asked her about the cute vintage looking reindeer motif cloth that covered the table, wondering if it was her own, or something sold at Lush. She explained that while it WAS a Lush product, it was from last year, and no longer available. I was disappointed, and told her how much it reminded me of the special Christmas bed sheets my siblings and I had on our beds during Christmas week every year.
