Lusk built my pool in 2006. I can't complain about their professionalism during that building process. The pool and the apron have held up well. Great work! Even though I do most of my own maintenance, they have always been good to help test my water and help me keep the water balanced. I've been a Lusk customer for about 4 years, for new pool owner education, maintenance, annual openings and closing, water testing. I'm sad to write this review. In December I asked them to schedule the install a salt water system...I didn't get other estimates bc I trusted Lusk and their service department. Strangely, it took me about 3 weeks to finalize a date (after I signed a contract) because Miranda, who handles this, never returned emails or voice messages, was available to take a call, or was in the office when I stopped by. I finally insisted on speaking with someone else, and scheduled the conversion for my pool opening date, which they recommended. Had it been another company I would have bailed based on lack of responsiveness. I called on the scheduled date to get an arrival window and was told the salt water was happening the next week, another communication issue. Bc the water level in my pool was low, they couldn't fully open pool that day but said they would do it when they converted the pool in one week. The next week, I called about 9:30am on the day of the conversion to inquire about arrival window and was told they weren't working that day due to potential rain...just another communication issue. I had to wait til they heard from Miranda for a reschedule date but requested they at least finish the opening quickly. One day later I was called and told they may be able to install salt generator at the end of the week, but I would need to give them a 50% deposit. I was extremely puzzled, especially considering I reached out many times, by email and phone, in December asking if there was anything they needed from me beyond the signed contract. I told them to forget the saltwater, just finish the opening (which I was charged for the first day, before it was completed). They did come out two days later to open and did a very subpar job. They never vacuumed the debris from my pool, just skimmed and swept it to the deep end. I spent about three days backwashing constantly bc of the debris. Had to run my pool bot about 4 times a day, emptying the basket after 30 minutes bc it was filled with debris...couldn't even climb the walls bc it was so full. After a little research I discovered Miranda is the new co-owner of Lusk, along with her husband. Maybe it's just taking them a minute to figure out how to run a business, and I do hope they figure it out bc this business used to be a gem. Until that happens, beware. read more

This is our go to place for all of our spa supplies. We were extremely disappointed when they closed the Ellijay store and now we have to drive to Canton for supplies. I still manage though to get there when needed. So much nicer here than the place where we purchased our hot tub. They could use a little more selection when it comes to spa supplies, but they have what we need the majority of the time and I will continue to make the long drive to Canton. read more

Moved to Canton early 2022 and have used them for our pool since then. Used them to open our pool and replace a pump motor. Both times staff have been friendly and efficient. On visiting the store staff always helpful and patient with my many questions. read more

Our experience with Lusk Pools was wonderful from start to finish. It began with our first meeting with Theresa, who really set the tone and made us feel extremely comfortable. Then DJ, Daniel, David, Gabby, Mike, Matt and their crews made the process smooth and painless. Their communication was top notch. Their service department is very unprofessional.. We had to reach out to them to find out why they had not confirmed showing up for a second time- only to be given excuses. Then refusal to show due to reaching out via their service email (to get a confirmed time) just epitomize their lack of professionalism. As my husband accurately reviewed on google the plan was for Lusk to shoot the elevations, confirm quote and discuss finer details to present to the planning/permits department. We contacted another company after being stood up twice by Teresa and her elevations consultant. We expected them to arrive Friday lunchtime and received this short email at 3:16pm Friday afternoon. A phone call would have been greatly appreciated. This should be your first stop for all of your pool needs. They go above and beyond! As a first-time pool owner, I couldn't be happier with the help we've received while trying to figure out what chemicals to add and how to maintain our pool with the right equipment. We had them come out today to change the sand in our filter, and replace the spiderweb gasket (?), and I was impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. They're affordable, friendly, and extremely helpful. We will be their customers for as long as we own a pool. read more

We had Lusk Pools build us a pool. The service was extremely slow and communication was nonexistent after the sale was made. Now, not even two years later the shelf part of spa overflow into the pool is falling apart. I called, but I was told the pool is no longer under warranty. The repair is going to be $800 to $1,000. Please be aware this company does not stand by its work. A pool that costs thousands of dollars should last longer than two years read more

First impressions are everything! Unfortunately.... Called ahead of time to speak with employee about water testing. I specifically told her I've bought a hot tub (never owned one before) but not received it yet. I told her the Mftr told me I should take my water to a pool place and have it tested. She agreed. Not once did she say I had to wait to have the hot tub, fill it up, run it AND then bring the cup of water in for testing... Imagine my annoyance after making a special trip to their place today for nothing. I politely explained that whoever was answering their phones should listen better to customers & questions so they can be sure to provide all relevant information. She did not once apologize for the misinformation provided or anything. She just stared at me with dead uncaring eyes. Pretty pathetic. She may even have been the person that messed up on the phone when I called... Who knows? Now, I will say again, I specifically told the woman on the phone last week when I called that id never owned a hot tub before and that I hadn't received it yet. All she told me on that call was "just bring the water, tell us if you are doing chlorine or bromine, & exactly how many gallons the tub holds." I can't believe she probably just regurgitated the info she gives everyone but didn't bother to hear me say I didn't have it yet... This may sound like common sense to ppl who have had pools or spas but after me saying many times I didn't have it, she should have done her job and listened to the customer. I paid to have them build a pool at my house. I was pleased with the results. Then, I moved to a different property which already had a pool, but I wanted them to modify and upgrade the pool and deck area. They came out once, evaluated it, then when I called to have them do the work, they literally wouldn't give me the time of day. Wow, you know that loyalty thing works both ways, right? Every person that I have ever dealt with at Lusk Pools has been totally professional. Their service department is excellent. They go above and beyond to meet the needs of their customers. I have used them for several years - both to service my pool - and also to replace the liner. They always do exactly what they promise. Our first encounter with them was with Michael - he made a verbal agreement with my husband and sealed it with a handshake - the old fashioned way! Quite refreshing. Buyer beware! Once you sign off on the final pool diagram you have no say in the pool building process. All the sweet talk and patience they have before you sign on the dotted line goes away once they start your pool. If you do try and have any input, the owner will call you and ask why are you slowing down my workers. So if you are truly looking for a custom pool where you can ask questions and have input along the way, this is not your company. They just want to build it as fast as possible so they can move on to the next. And after the pool is built, if you try and go into their shop and ask questions about the water and chemicals they will lecture you, didn't you read your manual! Turns out they gave us the wrong manual. I had to figure that out myself and order the correct one from the manufacturer. I'm only writing this because I read so many great reviews before I picked Lusk. I'm just being honest about my experience. It was not an enjoyable experience. read more

We spent a lot of money on a pool rehab, so we know these guys. The job wasn't great for the almost 20K was spent ( the concrete has cracked, the drainage was not put in with PVC plumbing parts that had beed promised and delays, delays, delays) but we are loyal and have stuck with them. But the store service after has been terrible. Parts not coming in on time, and worse -the staff is rude and volatile. It has gotten worse, with today being the last straw for me. Do not do business with these guys. They overcharge, don't communicate and are rude. read more

We just used Lusk to build our beautiful pool, on very difficult terrain. They did a fantastic job!! From Theresa who came out to give us the quote, to Doug and his team of professional pool builders, to the after care we have received through Miranda and Amanda- we couldn't be more pleased with our experience at Lusk.
