Agreed on $250 for full interior and exterior detailing, specifying that at that price point I would expect an outstanding job. Worth noting that my interior was by no means a disaster, and they even said their price was lower because the interior looked pretty good when I brought it it. Upon 'completion' there were many areas that obviously hadn't been cleaned (see reference photos.) I pointed some out including left over wax on outside, dirty seat belt clips, cup holders, etc. They followed me around and half heartedly wiped things down but still left them dirty. I offered to leave the car longer so they could complete the job as agreed, but they said 'no it's pretty much done. Just show us what else you aren't happy with.' Having already shown them multiple problem areas, I told them I don't have time to babysit them through cleaning my car, and I'd take it as is for $200 or leave it with them longer to finish the job for the $250. They jumped at this offer- then charged my credit card and added a $8.24 service charge which they did not disclose at any point. I didn't notice that until I got home. Included is a pic of a Lysol wipe I used on the steering wheel the next day. They also use a greasy finish inside that makes things shiny but you can feel on your fingers anytime you touch anything- ended up wiping down the interior myself to get that off too. TLDR: Car still dirty, with added grease in interior to clean myself, overcharged credit card with $8.24 undisclosed service fee. Hard pass. read more

This is the best place to get your car washed or detailed in LA. They do everything 100% by hand so it takes a little longer than most places, but it's well worth the wait. Pass the time by taking a walk in Hollywood Forever cemetery while they work their magic. My car always looks brand new when they're done. I had an extremely dirty car that needed major tlc I'm pretty active. I go to the beach a lot and hiking with my dog. There was dog hair, sand , dirt and food crumbs from friends eating in my car. I went to this car wash and as far as it's advertised they close at 6pm. I asked the first guy I saw which was a younger dude anyway I told him I wanted a car wash, and asked if I could leave my keys so that when they're ready (they had 2 cars in front of me) and the guy made up an excuse as to why I couldn't pick my car up when it was ready which is that they were closing at 5 and they " couldn't be moving cars like that " . I was just parked waiting awkwardly and they start working on the car in front of me so I pull up and ask the same dude why I can't leave the car and he asks me what service I want I respond with just a car wash in and out and he says he can't sorry. His boss calls him over to start working on a white women's car who had pulled In after me. I'm frustrated because he asked me to wait 30 min until the car would be ready to be washed, and then he asked me to wait while it was being washed, for what? I had someone there to pick me up and drop me off. And then a white lady pulls up ( I'm a young POC male) and they just disregard me and start working on hers. read more

I messed up big time. Mena Detail was my go to carwash for almost 2 years. The guys were always super friendly and did a great job. The last time I was there I accused them of potentially stealing my watch from my center console. Well, three months later I found my watch. I feel like a complete dickhead so I would li to express my deepest apologies to the entire staff for falsely accusing them of something they didn't do. I feel awful. I paid about $70 (including tip) for a car wash and even brought someone with me since they were the only one open during the beginning of quarantine... it was not worth it. My car was not fully dust off inside and wiped down. After a few hours as well, my car had a polka dot white everywhere and I had to get another car wash to clean it. It was just bad overall. Okay job on the detail but they lost my garage opener which was clipped onto the drivers side shade. Not sure the need to unclip it in the first place but they put everything in a large plastic bag and it wasn't there either. Worst part is the area they theoretically removed the garage opener to clean...wasn't even cleaned!! The outline of the garage clip is still there. I really wanted to like this place, as it would have been more business for them. They insisted they hand waxed the car, but there was still a lot of residual dirt all over the exterior of the car. Thieves... I was excited to go here because they came recommended. Met with the boss Bruce on monday and he told me EXACTLY how much it would cost with engine detail and without and told me to come back tuesday at 9. I came and he wasnt there and his worker said it was 150 more. I told him what Bruce said get him on the phone but the guy working there had a porsche come in as well and tried to get 150 dollars more than what Bruce said even with Bruce on the phone. Ask how long the wait will be, they tríed to get me to upgrade my wash. When I asked how much it would be he misunderstood me and thought I asked how long it would take. 45 minutes was his response to which I declined. The last time I got a basic wash and there was 2 cars in front of me I was out of there in 20 mins tops. They tried to upsale me to make up for the time it was gonna take regardless of what wash I chose . The 2 cars that were in front of me this time must have been getting detailed because I waited for a hour. Did they do a good ass job, yes. Was it worth waiting an hour for, no. They are prompt, fairly priced, in fact so reasonable I felt guilty paying them. The car looks good inside and out. It is smooth on the outside from the clay bar service. I just wish they could restore the color of the paint, but I know that is asking too much for my 2007 that sits in the hot sun all the time. Update: another great wash. read more
