Buses themselves are fine and clean. School used this company as a charter for a local field trip. One of the 3 buses "broke down" en route to pick kids up, but chose not to communicate this until all the kids were waiting in the hot sun, on the asphalt to be picked up. Best corporate experience bussing international employees to and from LA to San Diego. Every person I worked with from the Sales Office (Mark & Diana) to the drivers, our experience was par to none. We had just 2 weeks to plan a transport for about 100 employees. The staff was prompt, kind, and transparent. The communication between each driver was one of a kind, leaving me the arranger with little to worry about. I booked a Los Angeles and Beach Tour and didn't even know it was the same company that was taking me back to Vegas! lol The bus pulled up and I was like... wow.. ironic. So only problem I had with this was the operator giving us the wrong time to be at the bus stop. She told us 8:30 but after calling her because it wasn't showing up, she told us it wouldn't pull up until 9:30.. She said sorry a bunch and we just went to grab some food until it was time to go back to the bus stop. Before the tour everyone has to go pay (If you didn't already online) So you go to the bus station where the office is. Sometimes you have to make a transfer to a different bus, depending on tours and such. The driver was the tour guide and was a pretty funny friendly guy. He knew a lot about movies. So what would happen is he would drive us around then drop us off and tell us where to meet the bus. So first drop off was Hollywood Blvd. We were there for about 2 hours then went back onto the bus. Next we went through, Venice, saw the Hollywood sign, Chinatown, and Beverly Hills. Last stop was Santa Monica Beach. We stayed for almost two hours. Long 8 hour day but it was so much fun. I think only one small thing should be considered. I think everyone should be able to give the driver they're cell phone numbers because of anything that could happen while off the bus. Me and my party was a little late walking back just because we had a small child with us that was being a little fussy and when we got back the driver was on the phone with the operator trying to get them to call us. 3.5 Stars My manager's boss has asked me to spearhead our department's annual offsite two years in a row now. HA.. This year we went to Santa Barbara. So last year (not my choice), but we booked ANOTHER bus company and didn't have that great of an experience. This year I had 3 different bus companies lined up, contacted each of them and decided to go with Lux Bus America. The one thing I really wanted this year was CUP HOLDERS and they told me that the bus did have cup holders. YES! (I don't want to hold my drink between my feet like last year.) Since this was going to be an overnight stay, they require you to provide the room for the bus driver, however you do not have to provide the food. All parking fees are also your responsibility. The balance is due 14 days prior to departure. Compared to the other bus company I worked with last year, Ryan from Lux Bus was VERY responsive. As soon as I sent him an email, he replied either instantly or within the hour. I sent them our itinerary, schedule (with arrival and departure times for each stop) and maps a week in advance. Ryan provided me with the bus driver's name and cell phone number the day before. The bus was supposed to arrive at 8AM (for departure at 8:30AM), but came at 7:20AM. Great, I like early people! The bus is nice and so is the interior and (faux) wood floors?! Anyway, our bus driver informed me that she got my schedule and maps 3 days in advance and reviewed it with her husband who is also a bus driver. (Last year, our bus driver didn't review it at all.) To my horror, this bus didn't have cup holders.. only the front seats did. The driver did inform me that they did have other buses with cup holders for each seat, but we'd needed to request it... BLAH, but I thought I did! Overall, I really liked the bus ride. However, the bus driver seemed to tailgate the car in front of us a few times and almost hit another car (the alarm sound went off once). I've used Lux Bux for traveling to Vegas more than 6 times the past several years. It departs from an Anaheim hotel around 8:45am and arives at Harrah's Hotel around 1:30pm. Return is from 3:15pm to around 8pm if there's no traffic. These include a 20 minute stop halfway in Barstow Station. It's cheaper than a flight I get to avoid aiport TSA hassle. Pros: - Comfy seats and always a nice clean bus - Free drinks and snacks form tour guide person, often an old russian lady who likes to tell jokes that are hit-and-miss. - Free checked bag service where the bus driver can store roller bags in the under-bus compartment (although I just carry my small duffel bag onboard and tuck it under the seat) - Two free movies on overhead screens - Now there is assigned seating so no more needing to rush to get in line early to grab preferred seats. Cons: - No longer provided free earbuds to watch the movies. Bring your own standard jack earbuds or else they charge $3 to buy one. - On one trip back from LV the bus broke down, but they got another bus out for us in less than 30 minutes to continue our trip. - The free Wifi can get spotty at remote locations in the dessert, probably not good enough for continuous video streaming. read more

OH MY GOD- BUYER BEEEEEWWWAAAARRRREEEE Aaron L- Uh yes, I did take this bus to Vegas, and Ghetto-- DEFINITELY! This trip from hell began good enough-- I really needed to meet my boyfriend out in Vegas for Memorial Day weekend-- see, he was out there for an electronics trade show all week, and if I were to drive out, we would have to drive separately back, so I did a little research and thought I'd give the Lux Bus a try. I mean, it sounds civilized enough; their headquarters is in Anaheim, so you catch a shuttle in LA down to Anaheim, you then board the "luxury liner" and travel in style and with grace all the way to Vegas baby! And so my journey began; 7:15am I was picked up at the Beverly Hilton (they offer pickups at local hotels for LA passengers), we then stopped at about 5 other hotels to pick up other passengers-- I was unphased by this-- that's just the nature of the beast-- it was allllll gravy baby. We then headed southward to Anaheim where we all checked in and boarded the Lux Bus. The bus itself was pretty nice-- it's not oh-my-gosh-amazing, but pretty nice nonetheless. And so we began our trip to Vegas-- According to the Lux Bus Website: * From Anaheim it should take us 4.5 hours to arrive in Vegas: Luxury modern Prevost motorcoaches get you there on time. * Wireless Internet: Surf the information super highway with 3G Mobile Wi-Fi access. * Movies: Sit back an enjoy a movie on one of the many LCD monitors * Music: Enjoy seat back audio with Sirus® Satellite radio * On Board Attendant: On-board attendant serves complimentary snacks and beverages. So I got to experience NONE of this. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. After boarding the bus to Vegas we drove a little over an hour and they were just beginning to start a movie when we all hear this loud beeping noise-- the Titanic was-a-goin down. We pulled onto the side of the freeway and the bus crapped out on us. No AC, No wifi, Nothing... stuck on the side of the highway. So the on-board attendant called out to us that a mechanic was coming out to fix the bus and would be there in 30 minutes-- he was just a few exits away. Traffic was already backed up-- as it was Memorial Day Weekend. Oh-- for the love of God-- did nobody check this flippin bus out before we left the station?? Okay, I told myself to relax-- just 30 minutes and this mechanic will fix us up for good-- we'll be back in air conditioning and on our merry way. Not so much-- one hour passes, where in the hell is this mechanic?? 2 Hours comes, and finally another bus pulls up? Wha? Where's the mechanic?? They shuffle us all over to this other bus that I assure you-- was definitely NOT LUXURIOUS. The bathroom was dirty, the television at the front for the first 6 rows (of course I had to sit in the first six rows) Didn't work. We were stuck in by this time, the worst traffic known to man, and since more than half of the people on the bus didn't want to waste any more time, they decided we wouldn't stop for lunch at all. AWFUL. It ended up taking us until around 6pm to get into Vegas, and all I had from their "amazing complimentary snacks" were some butter cookies because everybody had eaten everything else. As far as beverages-- warm water-- the cooler or fridge or whatever was on the other bus. To top this off, when I requested a refund from the general Manager-- He heckled with me for about 15 minutes claiming "but we DID get you to Vegas" uh-- if I wanted to ride in a shitty bus to Vegas, I would take a Greyhound-- not pay $88 for a one way ticket on a Luxury Liner. So finally he apologized and told me he would refund my money. 10 days later no refund. I called him and left him several messages (none of which he returned) and then filed a claim with my bank. He had the audacity to dispute the claim! Lol What a joke! I have since re-filed my claim with this awful company that clearly has no sense of business ethics. If I were Lux Bus and this happened to my customers, I would preemptively refund every persons money and offer them a free one-way ticket elsewhere-- like an airline does when crappy things like this happen. It cost as much as taking an airline. Not only would I not use this service again, I would yelp it from the rooftops-- but then I'd probably get arrested. read more

Best bus ride ever! The Lux Bus from Anaheim Gardenwalk to Vegas roundtrip cost $94 and included 2 complimentary beverages, one snack, and 2 movies on board. The driver was safe and got us to Vegas in 4.5 hours which included a rest stop at the Barstow station for 20 minutes. The tour guide/bus attendant was very nice and even included facts and information along the way. It was a very comfortable ride that included free Wi-Fi, electrical outlet, and leather seats. I was lucky enough to be seat #1 and fellow yelper, Lily A. was seat #2 in which we enjoyed the view and ample leg room. I highly recommend this bus for your next Vegas trip because you don't have to worry about the stress of driving and it is less expensive than a flight. So if you want to ride in luxury, then hop on the Lux Bus! read more

I've used Lux Bus America twice in 2018. The first time was fantastic. We departed Anaheim at 0845. I was content to sleep until waking up at the Barstow Station to stretch and grab a snack. I awoke the second time as the bus was nearly entering Nevada. The coach was immaculate and comfortable. The service was very personal. The snacks? Well, they were snacks. Nothing worse that what is offered on Southwest Airlines. There are two drop off points; the California Hotel Casino in DTLV and Harrah's on the Strip. They are both convenient to the Fremont Street Experience and the Strip. It was a seamless journey both in and outbound. My second Lux Bus coach trip was equally as seamless. Well, it was until a received a call from their customer service department on 1/18/19 telling me that I didn't pay for the parking at the hotel in Anaheim. On that trip I decided to drive and remove the OCTA component. Here is the whole sordid tale. When I arrived, the valet asked if I was taking the Lux Bus. Of course, I told him yes and gave him my keys. I asked if that "was it?" He said yes. I thought to myself, "self, how could this be any easier?" Once again, I enjoyed a nice trip aboard a Lux Coach to and from Las Vegas. Upon arriving at the hotel, fetching my bag and such, I headed for the valet. I kept $120 for the parking and tip. My car arrived, I loaded up and asked the valet what were the damages. He asked if I was on the Lux Bus. Yup! He said that was it and have a good night. I gave him the tip off I went. Once again, how convenient. The young lady who called last week, explained that I had to pay $55. I explained my side of the tale and she seemed concerned and perplexed. Apparently, the Marriott was wondering why something was amiss. Lux Bus was using the ever popular and never successful, "the vendor (Marriott) made a mistake but we don't want to upset them. We didn't communicate properly to the customer and they are a minor player in this event so who cares?" Also, Lux Bus is likely counting every penny so... The long and short of it is this. I was ready to pay $100 (plus tip) either departing or upon our return. It's clear that the parking folks at Marriott made a mistake. The Lux Bus reservation/customer service person that I spoke with in essence told me that I was right, but I still have to pay. For them, it's the easiest way out. So, I'll pay the $55 and drop two stars to three. I'm also going to send letters to the various regulatory agencies. (as soon as they are working) read more

AWESOME! This is NOT the company that stranded people in Vegas with a Groupon. Ok - I was hesitant at first - but once I got on I was ecstatic! Nice & clean, drinks served by the LuxBus version of a flight attendant. Tray tables sit perfectly to work on the laptop (some buses even have power outlets for regular plugs), the Wi-Fi worked great for me! I'M ON THE BUS RIGHT NOW! I've been able to get work done, bus is 3/4 full so I can stretch out, enjoy the view and take calls. This is WAY better than driving. Skyfall is on the TV and another movie is coming up. We needed a last min solution to get to Vegas and found this company that offers a $99 round trip. We were a little worried as did not have a confirmed reservation as online reservation not accepted day before. Showed up at desk at Garden Walk at 8 am and secured last of 3 seats over Memorial Day weekend. Best to arrive early to stand in line for boarding pass & best seats. Bus seats about 30 and has a bathroom. Drinks served are coke, diet coke, 7 up, water and orange juice. Snacks are cheese/crackers. They showed two movies and provided headsets although I would suggest bringing one's own. There are two staff, a bus driver and the attendant. One stop at Barstow Station that has Panda Express, Quiznos, etc. Drop off is at Flamingo, Harrah, and downtown. Unfortunately on our return which was supposed to leave Vegas at 3:30 left at 6 pm since the bus broke before we left Vegas so had a 2 hour delay. The breakdown certainly was unforseen and they attended to it with first a try at having a mechanic fix it but inevitable we got a replacement bus. Since they had only one trip a day on time performance is never guaranteed. I think this is an okay option if one doesn't want to drive and airfares are too high. read more

My group of 6 took the best of LA tour and our tour guide n driver Alex Serrano was a historian book from take off to end of our tour. I must say he was like no other with his skills driving and telling the history of OC to LA. I highly recommend him for ur next tour. MOVIE SOUND PLAYS ON THE SPEAKERS This is absolutely unacceptable. There are even headphone jacks on the back of the seats for those who want to listen, yet the sound is played over the bus speakers directly overhead. How obnoxious. I asked the bus driver why this is happening and he said we do it because not everyone has headphones. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? So if you are taking the bus from LA to Vegas, forget reading a book. Forget sleeping. Forget anything you may want to do, because instead you'll be listening to loud obnoxious kids movies and theres nothing you can do. Headphones hardly block out the sound.. but then again, apparently not everyone HAS headphones on a 5hr bus ride in 2018. Ive rode the LuxBus many times and im still satisfied with their service. Its always the same "Russian" stewardess that ive seen. She is absolutely hilarious and informative. 2 drinks and one snack is provided. Also if you are not trying to ktfo on the bus there are 2 movies that will be shown on the bus so you are not completely bored out of your mind. Need to charge your phone? No problem! Theres 2 outlets below in the middle of both leather seats. Bathroom? Theres one at the end on the left hand side. Theres plenty of room for you to feel comfortable riding this bus ( Leg room ) Btw if you are riding this bus to my home Vegas, there is one stop at Barstow station. If you want more than a snack thats provided.. At barstow station you will find a Panda express, subway, Popeyes, Mcdonalds. With that said, safe travels!! read more

I'm giving this bathroom a 2.52/5. I am on a bus with my team going to Tucson Arizona. We have a pretty full bus. I never have high hopes for bus bathrooms, and more often then not they are what I expect. This bathroom is for the most part what I expected. I never like when there is a hanging trash bag. It looks gross, smells gross, and is just asking for a mess. I made sure to do my inspection right when we got on the bus, so it wasn't altered by my teammates. There is a mirror which is always one of the first things I look for. No sink, which I expected. There was a full dispenser of hand sanitizer which is good. There was an extra role of toilet paper sitting in a basket as you can see in the picture. This looked very non organic and looked like it didn't belong. There was also another basket near the toilet with an air freshener in it. I never like the smell of the bus bathroom air fresheners, they always smell very toxic and artificial. At the end of the day, you're not going to go number 2 on this bus, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it, especially with a full bus. However I've definitely seen worse bus bathrooms. The Lux Bus is actually pretty rad. --------------- Here are all the facts, and answers to the questions that I got from my friends about the LB: --------------- - The seats are pretty comfy, and recline quite a bit. - They play 1 movie on multiple screens, each way. - Wifi is available. This rules. I brought my laptop and got a ton of work done on the way up. I love multitasking, especially when one of the tasks is traveling to Vegas! Unfortunately, the connection was very bad on the way back. :( - Electrical outlets are available to charge your laptop, phone, etc. - The bus driver hauls ass, but I never felt unsafe or got motion sickness. Whenever I looked up, he was maneuvering around the road to pass other buses, trucks, or even cars! - There is ONE stop. Barstow. You have 20 minutes to use the restroom and buy food to bring back to the bus. They don't mess around. - Unless you request more, you'll be served 2 drinks and a snack each way. They have coke, sprite, water, beer (Bud Light) and wine. The attendant lady on the way up didn't advertise the booze. She may have been saving it for herself. - If you get the Russian attendant lady on your trip, enjoy her cheesy jokes & thick accent! She's pretty damn funny. - The crowd who takes the bus to Vegas is all over the place. This isn't a bad thing. Don't expect to party the whole way with a bunch of kids, but don't think everyone is going to be 90 either. - On my trip to/from, there were at least a handful of seats available. It wasn't packed, but also not empty. - Your big luggage will be put in a compartment under the bus. There's also overhead carry on compartments inside available. --------------- Tips: --------------- - Get your Anaheim Garden Walk parking validated by LB. Your parking will be $5 per day instead of $24. - You'll have a few choices on where you'd like to get dropped off/picked up in Vegas. Choose Harrahs. You'll have direct access to the Monorail (if that helps get you directly to your hotel, MGM in my case) - http://www.lvmonorail.com/. Also, you'll be picked up first when you leave. This means you'll have first dibs on seating to go home over the Flamingo people who will be picked up second. - If you tend to get motion sickness, try poppin' a Bonine - http://www.bonine.com/. --------------- Yes, I know Jet Blue and Southwest come down to as low as $39 all the time to go to/from Vegas, but you won't get that price on a weekend. Lux Bus is comparable to the cost of driving, plus no wear & tear on your car (or rental cost), AND you can sit back and relax/work/sleep. I am so saddened to have to write this updated review. I really loved this bus and their prices, but after my experience this weekend, I don't think I will be coming back. The attendant, is extremely rude! She passes herself off as funny, but she is not. My 5 year old son and myself were treated horribly by her and it was not just us. It started before we even drove away from Anaheim, I was hugging my uncle good bye while balling my eyes out and shes YELLING at me to hurry up and get in the bus, first of all there was still 10 people checking in so I wasn't causing the bus to be late. And how about a little compassion??? So I get on the bus (which was full) and once again I am placed in the seats with no outlet or tv access, or foot rests. This is the second time I have paid the same amount of money as everyone else on the bus and not been able to have a plug or ability to hear the tv through the ear phones. We fell asleep and woke in barstow, we all got off the bus and went to get our food and drinks. I got my son a small bag of popcorn and a drink. We come back in sit down and wait to leave, another passenger was a few min late getting back on and the attendant yelled and belittled her for being late in front of everyone on the bus!!! Extremely rude and awkward. So we were sitting eating our popcorn, and she walks by and lets out a huge sigh while staring at my son, by this time I am so over this and her. And I look at her and she walks away then comes over with a broom and dust pan, to sweep up a few small pieces of popcorn my son dropped. Like seriously??? the whole bus was full of crumbs and empty food wrappers. A while goes by and my son wanted more of his popcorn, and I get it and here she comes, and has the nerve to tell my son not to drop any cause she doesn't have time to clean up once we get off the bus...........Excuse me?? I had it by that time and I told her to not tell my son what to do and it's HER JOB to clean up the bus. She made it like I took a pound of popcorn and smashed it into the floor. We finally made it back to Vegas (where I live) and she is on the microphone saying her good bye speech and then says "We accept gratuity and if you don't leave any just know I am Russian and I will find you" That is soooooooooooooooooo not funny!!!! Gratuity is earned and not required or scared into doing. The whole I am Russian thing was not funny and was actually pretty annoying. I am assuming she has worked here a while if she feels she can get away with saying things like that. I work as a server and I would NEVER treat my customers that way she treated us!!!!!!1 I would never beg gratuity for doing nothing, other than complaining about everything she had to do. I haven't personally ridden on Lux Bus but I usually take Megabus to Vegas. So why am I writing a review here? On my recent trip back from Vegas on Megabus, our bus broke down in the middle of nowhere, literally. Our driver didn't really know what to do. We pulled over to the side of the freeway and wondered what was going to happen. About 10 minutes later, Lux Bus, also coming back from Vegas, saw us and pulled over. Their bus driver hopped out and offered to help. He taught our bus driver how to restart the bus, and a few minutes later, we were on our way. It is always beautiful to see professionals helping each other out even if they work for competing businesses. And this simple act of helpfulness has made a positive impression on me about this company, and I feel they deserve to be acknowledged. read more

We were forced to use Lux Bus on a school trip. The drivers got lost, which is hard to do when you are supposed to follow each other. The buses were clean and the drivers were nice, otherwise. Great trip to/from Las Vegas! First time using LuxBus and we were very impressed! Professional and organized service from the time I booked the reservation until we returned back to Anaheim. Parking in the structure at Gardenwalk was easy and they validate when you check in - $5.00 per day.....Awesome deal for SoCal :) Amenities are great - snack & drink selection onboard, reclining seats, tray tables, charging outlets, movie selections.... I could go on! :) You actually have a Tour Guide who keeps you informed of travel time, stop information, etc. which we appreciated. Drivers both trips were timely and safe (SO nice to relax in traffic for a change!). Our drop off/pick up at Harrah's was very convenient- nice food court inside and seating area while waiting to depart. Highly recommend LuxBus for the price and service you receive! Luxbus from Disneyland to Universal Studios.. Driver TO Universal was decent guy, trying to make Highway 5 less boring and gang-bangerly by making lame jokes and giving a "tour." He should have just driven and put on some good tunes. Coming BACK from Universal Studios (6/15/2014 @ 7PM)- the driver was exceptionally rude and grumpy to many of the passengers. ZERO customer service, ZERO patience. Not a pleasant person at all and seemingly devoid of any social skills. What I determined about shuttle buses was this: your comfort and enjoyment of the trip depends to a large extent on which driver you are lucky enough to get. The fare is a little steep at $30 RT with no senior or child discounts. However, not having to navigate the snarl of LA traffic is worth it. Buses themselves were clean, quiet, and on time. It's only $99 round trip to get from Anaheim to Las Vegas, which is so cheap and totally worth it if you're not up for the drive. The seats are comfortable and they recline a little too so you can sleep as long as you want. It takes about 4.5 hours, which is pretty much the same as driving on your own. There are complimentary drinks (sodas, coffee, oj, beer/wine) and snacks (granola bars, rice krispie treats, things like that). They play 2 movies each way..they're family friendly. The main terminal is the Anaheim Gardenwalk and they meet there at 8 am to leave for Vegas. They don't charge you for the trip until you get there so even if you make a reservation online don't expect to be charged until that day. When I went the bus was only about halfway full which made it much more pleasant since there was no need to worry about leaning too far back into someone's lap or sitting next to a stranger. The staff is really friendly (there's a driver and an attendant who serves you). They only stop for 20 minutes in Barstow and are pretty good about being punctual and staying on schedule. You can bring whatever you want on the bus so it's a great way to have fun with your friends while getting driven to Vegas for a cheap price. read more

The Good: So we all know you can drive yourself to Las Vegas or fly, but did you know there was another mode of transportation? A charter bus from Lux Bus? I know what you are thinking, I thought the same thing, ew a bus, but this one is slightly better haha. They have seats that recline, free wi-fi, power outlets at each seat, drinks/snacks, and cheap entertainment(either the hostess or dvd). The price was about $100 for a round trip and it only took about 4 1/2 hours. The driver was fast but I couldn't tell because I was asleep the whole time. When you only get 4 hours asleep a night in Vegas why risk the drive when you can have somebody else do it for you :D The Bad: Can't complain much here, but I would love to have a row by myself, I don't really like sitting next to somebody I don't know. The Ben: Cheaper than if I drove myself and all I have to do is show up and sleep. Try next time and see for yourself. read more

Took the bus from Anaheim to Las Vegas and had a wonderful time - the service was great, the driver was awesome and it was easy as pie to get there. Was even better then flying. So there was a 'celebration of life' event for Jimmy "Bones" Ashton (RIP Jimmy) at the Newport Beach American Legion. There was about 60-ish of us from his bar planning to go. There were 60-ish of us who didn't want to deal with car-pooling, parking, and absolutely not drinking and driving. The owner of LuxBus DONATED- yes, donated- the use of 2 beautiful buses to take us from our bar in Orange to beautiful NB. The buses were really clean and nice, and the drivers were really good and tolerate drunks really well. If I could ask one little favor- when driving a busload of drunk people memorializing a friend, train your drivers to say the microphone is broken. Seriously. I read a handful of negative reviews of the LuxBus which got me a little apprehensive but I realized that it was probably one off experiences or disgruntled customers. Bottom line, this has got to be the most pleasant method of travel between Vegas and LA I've done in a long time. I heard of this company when I was a casino host at a San Diego casino and guests would ask me if I was aware of any buses other than the Chinese bus companies that would go to Las Vegas. I did some research and found this company and would relay this information to my guests. This company was a delight to them and many of them used the service again which prompted me to want to try it. Now as a Vegas resident, I tried the LuxBus and I can say I'm sorry I didn't try it before. The new Prevost H3-45 coaches are some of the nicest on the road and that added to the experience. The coach is outfitted with contoured leather seats and power ports for your iStuff and laptops. It's also equipped with wifi though on both my trips the wifi was slow. But hey, wifi or nothing vs. the plane. Complimentary drinks and snacks are provided along the way as are headsets for the movies, pillows and blankets. There is a quick 20 minute stop at Barstow Station to walk around and grab some real food then you hit the road again. Total time of 4.5 hours to Anaheim is what it takes me to drive my car. A little hiccup occurred with this trip as I was asked to volunteer to give up my seat for my Easter Sunday return. Compensation was a refund of my trip for the trouble and my return posted promptly. I have to applaud the customer service in handling the matter as this is not something I would have expected pre-departure with the airlines. The verdict: I'll use this service again for my travels to Southern California and will recommend to many others. The net difference may be 2 hours from the plane but the biggest single benefit? No TSA inspections. read more

Our Luxbus was chartered from Castle Inn in Anaheim to Main Street in Vegas as part of a travel package. Our driver was early which was good...she helped get luggage loaded onto the bus. She took role and we left promptly at 9. She was a friendly driver...chatty and cordial. She gave us some housekeeping tips before we left: potty is in the back, it's only for #1, not #2 or we will smell it all the way to Vegas. Awesome. I think they have some kind of vanilla smell that's piped through the AC. It was a little nauseating, not gonna lie. My whole family wore Sea-bands and it worked except for my daughter was still very car sick. Thank goodness for that bathroom on board. We stopped in Barstow for an hour to get a bite and some fresh air and then loaded back onto the bus to Vegas. We were there by 2:30. I'm glad we had this experience...I would totally take the Luxbus again in CA or to Vegas if we needed an option. read more

Not luxury, but clean, comfy, safe. I have NEVER had a bad experience. No breakdowns, a straight 5-hour shot right to downtown Vegas, with a nice lunch break in Barstow. I catch up on my reading, got my ipod, itouch etc. (Greyhounds will soon be getting free WiFi and plug-in points.) Pleasant ride, even when full. Many schedules each day; miss your bus, just wait around for the next one. And the terminals are fine, clean and safe. The GH trip is really one of my favorite parts of my vacay. My husband and I bought the groupon deal from Anaheim to Las Vegas. We left at 8:45am on a Thursday. The bus was packed. Luckily the tour guide, if you will, asked people to move so we could sit together. Would have been horrible not sitting with my husband for 41/2 hours. We got to Vegas at exactly 1:30 so we were right on time. The luxbus website does play up their amenities. The wifi is TERRIBLE! Couldn't use the lap top or itouch at all. NO beer or wine. NO satellite radio. NO pillows and blankets. The movie on the way to Vegas was Frequency, which is definitely NOT a new release. We watched Salt on the way back, which was nice. The bus doesn't seemed to get wiped down or sanitized between trips. The ladies sitting in front of us were complaining that their trays were filthy. I was definitely a little disappointed with how great their website sounds compared to the quality of the bus. I will probably not book a trip to Vegas with them again. Seeing that we only paid $49 pp, was a great deal when it comes to gas prices, Wouldn't pay the full amount. Would only recommend to anyone who can get a deal, or planning a short trip. read more

We bought Groupons for LuxBus from Anaheim to Vegas for $49 roundtrip a few weeks back and just used it over the weekend for a quick getaway. The bus terminal is located inside the parking garage of the Anaheim GardenWalk. There's a discount ticket office where you go to check-in, then you walk over to the waiting area for the buses. The seats weren't particularly comfortable, but considering it was a bus I wasn't expecting much. It was very clean though and it didn't smell at all, and the buses we took both looked and felt very new. Unlike Megabus or Bolt Bus, this bus company actually serves complementary drinks and snacks during the trip and shows a movie as well. The movie on the way there was some bad Nicholas Cage movie, but they did show Inception on the way back! The highlight of this trip though was our guide, who we were lucky enough to have on both trips. She was this really skinny Russian lady with short blonde hair, and she had a very thick Russian accent. Everything she said she repeated like 4 or 5 times, especially the beverage choices...."Sprite, Coke, Diet Coke, orange juice, vater.... Sprite, Coke, Diet Coke, orange juice, vater....you vant cocktail? Fifty dollars!" She also told us when we were leaving Vegas that if we got back late, it was our fault because we didn't pray hard enough for less traffic. She was actually very nice, though, and she gave everyone on the bus a good laugh. The bus drivers were nice, too, and the driver on the way back even took a shortcut off I-15 because traffic was so heavy. I definitely never knew there was a shortcut, so this was pretty cool. The bus terminals on the Strip are at Harrah's and Flamingo, so no matter where you're staying it shouldn't be too long of a walk/cab ride to your hotel. If I'm ever able to find a roundtrip rate on this bus company as good as the one I bought from Groupon, I would certainly consider (and recommend) taking this bus to Las Vegas. Even though it ends up costing a little more than gas would cost if you split the price of gas with the passengers in your car, it's very convenient and worth not having to spend anywhere from 8-12 hours driving. The buses don't stop anywhere except Barstow, so it pretty much ends up taking you the same amount of time to get there as it would if you had just driven your own car. When I called their office a couple times before the trip to ask them questions, the person on the phone was very professional and friendly. All around it was a good experience. read more

This smooth 4.5 hour trip to the Las Vegas strip from Anaheim comes with complimentary beverages and snacks, free onboard wifi, 2 movies, and a very friendly, helpful attendant! Given gas prices, this is well worth the fare ($59 one way or $109 round trip) and you get the opportunity to relax - I will never drive to Vegas again! Tip: Bring your own headphones if you want to watch the onboard movies. Otherwise they charge $3 for a set of headphones. read more

My main issue with Lux bus 1-Not enough trips to Vegas to Anaheim or Los Angeles, wish they offered more time slots especially at the speed and convenience they offer. However the second is far more upsetting. I booked Lux bus for my trip from Las Vegas to Anaheim. The trip to Anaheim was fine found the hostess a bit off putting with her Russian humor but I had my head phones on so ignored it most of the trip. The trip back everything was fine until we got to Barstow Station. Our same Russian Hostess explained that we only had 20 minutes because her driver needed a 30 minute break when he gets to Vegas. Explained we would be in trouble if we did not get on the bus on time including Russian Torture or humiliation? Then it took the driver about 5-8 minutes to park instead of letting us off. Which now left us with only 12 minutes to pee and maybe grab food which was not going to happen due to the crowd. I had not eaten and assumed because when I booked 108 dollar ticket that includes a 30 minute rest stop, I would grab food. I am hypoglycemic and thank goodness I had packed a small snack. So by the time I got to Vegas I was shaky and not in the best mood. Not OK. I know I have a condition and prepare, yet the attitude and the way she spoke to us like children not OK. Several passengers had children and they did not prepare snacks, and sorry a bag of chips isn't enough. I had a snack that I packed and thank goodness for that, just in case. I was going to use your group again for a trip for the 24 hour at Disneyland and was going to bring 7 people with me on the bus. Now I am not sure if I plan to use your services again. I truly hope you do some training and customer service. Really sad because your travel group could blossom with more service and better attitudes. read more

I highly recommend this bus company to those who are looking to go to Las Vegas, or just to Universal Studios. In fact, I HAVE recommended friends to take this to Vegas, and personally purchased a ticket for a family member to take to Universal (so I didn't have to drive to LA). I am BEYOND happy with their service, which is why I HAD to leave a review. I purchased a ride to Universal for a family member, but we woke up late that day so was unable to make it to Anaheim on time for the bus. With our mom grumbling in the back saying how could we be so irresponsible and missing the bus... I got a call from them asking if we were on the way. I explained that we are unable to make it in time. Instead of a ok, goodbye, the lady on the phone promptly re-scheduled the bus ride for another day! Awesome customer service, and makes me glad that I have been recommending Lux Bus America to friends. I will keep doing this, as I honestly have only great things to say about them. Would not recommend! We had called 2 days prior to our pick up date and had confirmed a 7:45 pick up time. On the day of our pickup we get a call from our hotel phone (at 7:25) saying "pickup was at 7:15 you missed it we are leaving, if you want to catch a ride you have to meet us at the next stop." Of course we didn't know where the next stop was because we are not from this area. The customer service was so incredibly rude! The fact that they were able to get our hotel number to tell us they were leaving us, but didn't have the decency to call us to remind us they were at the hotel is ridiculous. We ended up calling the bus back and telling them we are just going to find our own ride, they hung up on us. read more

Needed to get to Vegas from Anahiem for the long weekend (9/1/2018 to 9/3/2018) to organize some things for my upcoming wedding. Flights were outrageous and with the baggage fees, forget it. So I decided to try out a bus. After searching I found Lux Bus which was more expensive then others like Greyhound, they had much better pick up and drop off locations as well as the quickest travel time, you can pick your seat at booking, plus they promise a server, snacks, phone charging, tray tables etc. Not bad for $108 round trip, plus you can actually take luggage, imagine that. The seat I chose was towards the back and had an outlet to plug in a charger, as well as USB ports in the outlet and tray tables, but no screen to see the movie (not that I cared to watch Patch Adams or the remake of Overboard). From CA to NV we did get a snack of a granola bar, chips and a soda but there was no server just the people checking you onto the bus rushing through and handing you stuff and leaving the bus before departure. We also ended up arriving in Vegas over an hour late, but I can overlook that due to it being a holiday weekend. So overall the first leg of the trip was about a 4.5 Too bad I only got to travel on one leg of my booking as the bus never showed up to pick me up for my return trip leaving me stranded in Nevada. Calls to dispatch were not helpful telling me the bus waited for me where I was dropped off when I was on the street WITH WITNESSES for over an hour at that location and NOT ONE SINGLE BUS ever went down the street. I was also told that they did not have my number on file, was put on hold and then when the call was resumed I was told they tried to call me twice? Then I was basically told either re-book a return trip on another day or get my money back those were my options. They didn't even attempt to see if I could make it to the other Vegas pick up or assist in any other way, I am still LIVID. I had to disrupt the whole night of two people,so I could get dropped off / picked up in Baker. So my arrival time back to CA which should have been 8:30 was well after midnight. So needless to say my goodwill from the first leg is more then erased now, and the other people involved in getting me home also feel this is a horrible company and will NEVER recommend Lux Bus. read more

Caveat Emptor! "Lux Bus" has taken on some of the same employees who worked previously for Silverado Stages -- the latter having gone bankrupt the end of 2018. Long story short, Silverado flubbed up some of our requests for our son's wedding coach and never provided any explanation or refund. Granted the financially-flopped Silverado Stages didn't have a lot of flexibility given their financial woes but bottom line: if the same employee(s) from Silverado are working for Lux Bus, the chances for future flubs seem pretty high... read more

Desperate to avoid driving alone to Vegas from OC, I looked up buses since the Anaheim to Vegas train is yet to be established. I decided on Lux Bus America based on Yelp reviews and their decent looking logo on their pimped out buses. What you get: $89 round trip from Anaheim (next to Disneyland) with $5/day validated parking in a safe complex at Garden Walk. You get two complimentary non-alcoholic drinks and a snack. 20 minutes stop halfway at Barstow. Drop off at key location in Harrah's parking structure which is an alley away from the Venetian. The trip takes about 4.5 hours total door to door. Natasha (Russian spy bus attendant) was 6 out of 5 stars. She is hilarious, friendly, and very good at her job. Both drivers to and from Vegas were safe and good drivers. Victor was the shiz and very polite. I had a front row seat for the entire ride back and he kept adjusting the automated window treatments on the windshield so that the sun wouldn't hit my eyes. Unbelievable attention to detail. He also coordinated with another bus driver ahead to bypass the car pile up from the b.s. agricultural checkpoint via local routes. The leather seats are comfortable and no worse than a United economy class seat. Bus is clean and top of the line. No smells. Did not try bathrooms but generally not necessary unless you're getting hammered on the bus. The crowd is mixed but generally very tame and behaved. No shady characters or recently released prisoners like you might get on a Greyhound. Bottom line: I would do Lux Bus again when necessary and in a pinch. Driving is still convenient when with family or groups. I would not hesitate to bring a family member or my fiancee on the bus if Lux Bus is our only option. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to avoid drunk driving, paying for gas, or expensive plane tickets. read more
