Still one of my favorite nail spas. The most important thing I check for when I go to a nail spa is cleanliness. Lux is always nice and clean! The nail lacquer and gel color selections are kept up with the current season. Nail techs are pleasant which is great and they never rush through your service. this review is long overdue, nonetheless I had a horrible, horrible experience here that should be known about. I had been a customer here for 3+ years and never had a problem or complaint, as I always get the best acrylic pedicures here. June 4th was the last and final time I went to this nail shop. After being serviced and getting a pedicure, one of the employees came up to me letting me know that the last time I got my nails done here, I did not pay. I kept letting him know he had the wrong person, because he did. He was insistent on the fact that I went to my vehicle for a form of payment and never returned. This was not true. I was being falsely accused of theft and the more I insisted it was not me, the angrier the employee got. Not to mention, the store manager being right next to us not saying a single word. He then told me he had the camera tapes proving this incident and proving that it was, in fact, me. I told him to pull the tapes up, however, he just walked away angrily. The store manager did not even apologize, nothing. It was extremely humiliating and extremely unprofessional, as this was AFTER they had already serviced me and made me pay. Why would they service someone who allegedly did not pay the last time?? There's a lot of things wrong with this situation, as accusing someone of theft isn't a small thing. Moreover, I feel as if the person who did actually do this was brown with black hair, like myself, and they decided that, me, fitting those two descriptions was enough to accuse me of being the one. I have distinctive features such as facial piercings that would have been a tell-tale sign if the person on camera was me, and they did not make an effort to reassure themselves it was me, even after I insisted it was not. The male employee just gaslit me. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Nothing so unprofessional and humiliating has ever happened to me. Don't go here. read more

My first time coming here was a couple of months ago and I had selected a glittery gel. The male nail technician (Kevin, I think?) had explained that it wouldn't come out looking as thick as it did in the gel book, and that he would pick a different glitter one. The one he chose I didn't like and I failed to say anything until I left and realized how much I hated the colors. I called right after and said I didn't like them and he had me schedule an appointment for the next day so he could redo them for me for free. Since I had time, I appreciated it so much. Without an appointment, I went back again today; the took me IMMEDIATELY and had him fix a horrible job a different salon did for me and he shaped them and did everything great! Thank you Kevin! I give this nail salon 3 and half stars since it's so inconsistent. The location and space is great. They are always friendly but you never know if you will get a great manicure. It really depends on the technician and if they are busy. I usually do gel nails and there have been several times that they have peeled in a week. They also charge a lot. My gel manicure, pedicure with callus removal was $56. With tip that is almost $70. They do have a very nice selection of nail colors and can accommodate last minute. It is a bit annoying that all the technicians speak a different language to each other the entire time. I would say this is an average nail salon. read more

It was my first time here and I got a classic mani pedi, the tools were not from a new sanitized kit, they literally took them out of a ziplock baggie and you can tell they had been used previously. The lady who was doing my pedicure kept trying to get me to buy other foot treatments that I kept declining. There was a man who was supposed to do my manicure while I get getting my pedicure but he came and started to file my nails and then suddenly left to work on someone else so the woman who did my pedicure ended up doing my manicure as well. The pedicure came out good though I had to tell her to do an extra coat of polish which she thought I didn't need. The manicure on the other hand didn't come out well she was rushing and left a lot of translucent parts of my nail showing. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Ok, maybe I'm spoiled where I usually go get my nails done , so I paid $70 for a very short full set of acrylics and a pedicure both GEL (not including tip) my nails literally look like my kids Legos, I asked for "natural looking " and I got short but they didn't look natural, they were thick squares. The basic Pedicure is pretty fancy with the hot towel at the end, but it was pretty much just dipping my feet in water (quickest pedicure ever) and polish, not focusing on cuticles and getting in the nooks n crannies. According to some reviews on here there pretty good, either I didn't get worked on by those employees or my expectations are a little higher. read more

Will never come here again! I don't know what the lady did or didn't do but all my nails are broken and super thin and keep cracking. And I can't even get the gel all the way off. I feel like she skipped a step and the gels just been eating away at my nails it's awful. I've had to try and cut them as far down as possible because they are so brittle and keep getting caught on my hair and clothes everything! I even went and got acetone to try and soak them and take it off but it didn't work all the way and some of the nails were ripped down to my skin that it burned when I tried to soak them. I got it mostly off on two of my nails and they are growing long and strong where as the rest will just not grow!! So disappointed as I loved coming here! I had been going to my regular girl in Signal Hill by my home who charges less $$ but this shop has WON me over, I love the staff, they are great and they do great work. I alway get the Margarita or the Delux package. Best packages ever. I would give 0 rating if I could, first i had to wait an hour and was told to come back, once I came back they tried to tell me it was still busy. Finally they got me in and the service was the worst i've experienced. Not only did the man rush doing my nails, he was so rough and inexperienced to the point where it ripped my nails off down to the skin. I'm not sure who gave him his license to do nails but the whole shop just needs to close after reading all these bad reviews. The convenience is not worth the experience. Well, I went on Friday for this first time since March and I can say I will never go back. First off, several staff were walking around without a mask, including the owner, without a care in the world. I will never go back. The tech seemed inexperienced and the whole experience was UNHYGENIC and PAINFUL!. I normally go to a place in West Torrance, but I wanted to start going somewhere closer to home. So I called and got in immediately. The place was dead. Should have been my first clue. A young guy was my technician. I told him I want to replace my Gel X. He tells me I don't have Gel X on and that I have "dip". I tell him, "No. these are gel X". He seems to not believe me, but ok so on with the service. He does not ask me to wash my hands or does he wear gloves. He burns me repeatedly with the mini sander while he is removing my old polish and gel x nail. He says sorry every time I flinch. He burned me 4 times. Then he puts the glue on the fake nail. I've never seen that done. Usually the glue goes on the nail right? Then he gets my skin with the mini sander again and actually draws blood. I flinch and pull my hand away. Again, he says sorry. He gets glue all over my cuticles etc. He cuts it away. Here is what really grossed me out, but I was too stupid to say anything. He used his thumb nail to clean up residual glue and polish. He repeatedly dug into my skin with his dirty fingernail!!! Every single finger. And that hurt too! It was so gross. This man literally digging his fingernail into the groves of my nails and skin. No orange wood sticks at this place or what? My nails are rough around the edges...not smooth at all. I will say the polish placement is very good and my nails look good in the end, but never will I go back. This guy needs more training and lessons in sanitary hygiene. I will stick with Lovely Nails in West Torrance. It is worth the drive and the wait to not be in pain nor worried I am going to catch some infection. read more

Vivian is the Best manicurist in this Nail Spa! Her work is perfection! Unlike most manicurists, she takes her time when doing your mani, cutting your cuticles and putting in polish! She is very patient and makes sure everything looks perfect before she is done with you. She doesn't rush you and she speaks perfect English! So when you request something, she understands you and will do just as you ask! If you want to get Acrylics, ask for Kevin! He is a sweetheart and really good! Ended up getting a basic nude gel, and as the man was doing my nails I mentioned that there were little hairs from the towel that were getting into the nail polish, he grab my hand and wouldn't let me see my hands after that and when I would try he would get mad at me. So after my nails were done there was a black hair stuck in my gel nail. I asked if he would redo the nail and he complained to me that he wouldn't redo it and then when I asked if I could get a small discount then since they weren't to my liking he was rude about it and made me seem like it was my fault. TERRIBLE customer service, I always tip well when I come and all I asked was a simple fix and then was mocked for it. I figured I'd get in on a Monday night when hardly anyone is in there and soon realized why it's no longer busy. They sat me in a chair with nice warm water right away. The gal who sat me went back to front desk area and two ladies came in about 10mins after I'd been sitting there soaking. And the same gal who sat me got from behind the desk and went and started working on those two ladies; I waited another 5-7 mins and nobody came. Worst experience at a nail salon EVER!!!!! Hannah is TERRIBLE!!!!!!! I have been driving past this nail salon since they opened and have been excited to give them a try. BIG mistake! My friend and I walked in to an empty salon with exception of the ladies who work there sitting down doing each others nails. The salon itself is nice and clean but the ladies who work there are terrible! Not one of them greeted us when we came in. After a while they asked "what do you want?" (No smile and in a rude tone) I said I wanted a pedi and my friend was getting a mani/pedi. Without saying a word to us they walked over and started filling up the tubs with water. So we went over and pick out our colors and then went to our chairs. When we sat down the water was as cold as the technicians doing our nails. Would it kill you to smile. Geez! The lady doing my pedi proceeded to cut my nails and instantly cuts me. "Ouch!" I say, and she laughs...REALLY?! I'm bleeding and you're laughing?? My toe really hurt and bleed for a while. I made a comment to my friend about how bad it hurt and the girl doing her nails ask if I wanted some neosporin. I said yes and a lady sitting behind the counter yelled out something in Korean or whatever language they speak to the lady doing my nails. My lady replied back it's not bad and laughed yet again. How can you say it's not bad? I am bleeding a good amount and it hurts! (Today it is even worse!) After she cut me the rest of the experience was just as bad. My nails are uneven and the polish job is terrible. Everything was rushed and they are not in the least bit personable. When my friend was getting her manicure the girl poked her with the tool and my friend said "Ouch" and pulled her hand back in reflex. The girl said to her "don't pull your hand back' as if that was the reason she poked her. These people are inexperienced and RUDE!! I will never go back. Too bad because like I said the salon itself is nice and clean. However I prefer a relaxing experience in a friendly atmosphere opposed to this!!! read more

Do not go to this place. I had a pedicure and the lady was digging around my big toe way too much with a sharp instrument. It was sore afterwards, and within 5 days I had a nasty toe infection that turned into an abscess, it had to be surgically drained and I'm on 7 days of antibiotics. I've been here a few times after my mother in law recommended it. I usually get a gel mani and a pedi. I'm always so happy to with my nails. The last time I came I was 9 months pregnant and they did a wonderful job with my swollen toes. Today I decided to change it up and get a full set. I usually come on the weekends when it's pretty busy so it was nice to come during the week when it was quiet and there was more time to work on my nails. I'm really really happy with the way my set turned out. The shape is exactly what I wanted. I did accidentally get cut on one of my fingers, but it wasn't too bad. I moved to the redondo beach area few months ago and have yet to find a regular nail spot. I've always seen this place full, so that's a sign of a healthy business, and I decided to try it today. There are plenty of big pedicure chairs that are kept clean. You actually get your manicure done there as well. I chose to get the margarita special which costed $52 plus $10 for crystal gel manicure. Well worth it. You get your basic grooming of the nails and nail beds, along with a nice scrub down. The lady also rubbed cuticle oil with the leg massage which was interesting, followed with a thick lotion on your feet wrapped with hot towels. The girl who was doing my manicure suggested I do the parrfin wax (obviously misspelled that) since my cuticles were in pretty bad shape. Good call! My hands and feet are so soft and sparkly now. Added bonus, the massage was great, the whole experience was very relaxing. I would give this 5 stars but as relaxing and great service, however, it was on the pricey side. $62 total is a bit much. Once in a while is fine, but the next time I'll be getting the regular treatment. read more

Their prices have gone up a little bit recently due to the fact they now use plastic bags to cover the pedicure chairs. Treat your self to a margarita pedicure. I was in LA for a bachelorette party and needed to get my toes done. I randomly stubble upon this place. They took me as a walk in, no appointment needed. I got the Margarita Pedicure. It had highly recommended reviews. The shop was clean and the chairs were comfortable. I wish they would of turned on the jets in my water but the lady doing my pedicure didn't seem to understand me very well. She did a good job on my toes but the massage and scrub was weak. Pricey for what was offered, I didn't get a wax dip or hot stone nor a gel pedicure, and paid $36 not including a tip. read more

I've been to so many nails spots prior to my experience yesterday, but this one by far is the best in the torrance/redondo area! She did French tips! Although I usually pay $20 for my gel manicure in cerritos, this one is cleaner and take their time. Megan did my pedicure and she was great as well!
