I've finally found my go to nail salon. I've seen this place so many times, I've eaten at Fatto e Mano next door, I live two minutes away, and I don't know why I didn't come here any earlier. I asked for a specific nail design for the World Cup, and Tullia totally delivered. She is so sweet and detail oriented. She obviously takes pride in what she does because she was so meticulous in her work and the result exceeded my expectations. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and told her it didn't have to be exact, but she made sure it came out just like the photo and checked with me every step of the way to make sure I was happy with the progress. I don't do nails too often, usually because the choices are overwhelming sometimes, but she made the process so easy and comfortable. Salon is clean, comfortable, with free parking. Other ladies are super nice too, Jenny helped me with my pedicure. Price seemed really fair, she spent close to 2 hours on my nails, and for that much time and effort, I think it was very affordable. They have a frequent user program too, with a rewards card. I plan on coming here for all my mani/pedi moving forward. Thank you Tullia for your beautiful work! read more

I absolutely love this place! Minh is incredible and Sam who I believe runs the store is always so kind and accommodating. I have only been twice for a regular gel mani, and I will absolutely continue to keep coming. The store is bright and there's always fun music playing. Can't recommend this place enough! Customer of 2 years now! Look no further for mani/ pedis. Where do I begin.... Sigh, lol. I am one of those girls that is never happy with my nails. I'm born and raised in the South Bay and have spent what feels like all of my tween, teenage, early adult, and now adulthood years looking for a nail technician that satisfies. I don't mean to be picky, but it's just REALLY hard to find a place that consistently does a quality job and doesn't make me feel difficult as a customer for just wanting nails that aren't crooked, filled in completely to my cuticle, doesn't lift/ crack/ chip, AND are pretty! Well, Chao Nail Bar makes me feel like a friend and a sister. Sam is my technician for my manicures, Minh for my pedicures, and Tullia always books my appointments for me. Minh sometimes also does my manicures and she is also fabulous. I go to Sam 99% of the time and she is such a professional. Her eye for detail is insane and she really loves what she does. Sam, Tullia and I often collaborate on ideas together. I send them my inspo via Instagram DMs before my appointment and they never disappoint. In the beginning, when I asked for a newer more complicated style, Sam practiced prior to my appointment to make sure she could do it for me :') The ambiance is humble and simple, and is often filled with ladies chatting with eachother that makes for a very positive environment. It's not too uppity, it's just right, and the prices fairly reflect this. I love Chao nail bar! Since I've started going here, I think about 4-5 acquaintances of mine have also gotten their nails done with Sam and they love it too. The pictures attached are just a few of my favorites. Upon first impression, it was intriguing seeing different styles of nail art available because a lot of salons have limited design selection. We have been going to Chao nails for over a year now and we love it!!!! I've been a regular at other salons in the area and Chai absolutely blows those spots out of the water!!! The salon is always neat and clean. They have coffee, soda, water and a candy jar readily available. The owner Sam and her daughter Tulia are always so very welcoming!!! Minh, Holly and Linda are our go to people but Sam is great and anyone who works there will do a fabulous job! Found Chao Nail Bar on TikTok, saw their 4.8 rating on Yelp, then checked out their Instagram--and wow, their work is beautiful. They do a lot of detailed nail art (not really my style since I like things simple), but the quality is undeniable. Sam, the owner, is so down to earth, and the whole vibe is welcoming (and I love Sam's coffee ). Tullia has such a beautiful personality--so bubbly, charismatic, and welcoming. Their website is super user-friendly and makes booking appointments really easy. Minh is my nail tech and she's amazing--great with builder gel and pedicures. I was in the area so I thought I would give them a try since they had good reviews. I made an appointment rather than walking in so I wouldn't have to wait & I could get both my mani and pedi at the same time. When I arrived, they started with my manicure and no one was available to do my pedicure which was fine but then they took a walk in and did their pedicure instead. After one hour waiting still no pedicure and I had to leave then they proceeded to charge me extra to take my nail polish off since it was my first time they said......would've been a good opportunity for them to comp that since they couldn't provide the service they promised. back once again ! i am still very happy with the service and work here. the ladies are very very sweet and lana did an amazing job on my cat eye/ hard gel manicure. i pick at my hands often- and every time she worked on those fingers she did so so delicately and would apologize profusely and wonder if she hurt me (she didn't ! she was wonderful) i felt so bad once again that i came in after work and stayed right until closing, but lana and the owner (i believe her name is sam) continued to smile and treat me and another customer with care and patience. would still recommend. thanks for your awesome help and work read more

The pedi was relaxing and service was friendly. I decided to get a simple gel mani, and left happy with my decision. Almost a week later and my nails still look amazing. I stopped using gel almost a year ago and have been on the hunt ever since for a salon to get an occasional mani/pedi with regular polish. It's been a challenge to find a salon where they spend enough time and attention to the details that make a regular polish mani/pedi look great and be long lasting. Omg, such an amazing place! Saw this place when I was driving home one day and inquired with them on Instagram & had no issues booking an appointment for myself and my fiancé for our wedding prep! I sent inspo pics for what I wanted and she went above and beyond! I absolutely love this nail shop. I hadn't been since they changed owners until today. From the moment I walked in I was greeted warmly by the new owner. She offered me a beverage from a menu that included coffee, water and sparkling water. The place is very clean and aesthetically pleasing with nice flowers and cute decor. I only go here for my hair cuts because the owner Ho Le does such a fantastic job!!! She has an eye for hair styles that will complement your face shape. I get layers in a V-shape and I have never had any complaints. I have been to high end salons that butcher my hair for 5x the price I pay at California Hair and Nails. I recommend Ho Le to all my friends and she does an amazing job with their hair cuts and highlights!!! read more

Reading other reviews here, I'm nervous that I should've paid closer attention to the condition of the buffer and such. I won't be returning as she wasn't friendly and they don't look smooth and even. After paying $65-70, I should've just done them myself. The hot stones massage on pedicure was nice and massage. But for painting, needs improvement.
