I was planning on getting a pedicure today from my regular salon, but they didn't pick up their phone so I looked on Yelp and read all the positive reviews for Liz Nails. What attracted me to this salon was the fact that it was a one-person business. I'm always reluctant to try a new place because satisfaction is subjective based on who is providing the service. Liz shares space with a cute kid's hair salon in a residential area of Redondo Beach. I've lived here for years and never passed by, even though it's so close I could walk over. I decided to have Liz clean up my brows, and she did a great job. I also had a spa pedicure and am pleased with her work. I didn't feel rushed at all and as other reviewers said, she's very meticulous. I'm glad I found Liz on Yelp and am happy to add another 5-Star review for her services. I'll be back! read more

I've known Liz for many years, back when she was at Nancy Nails in Hermosa. I always liked Liz, but because I'd been one of Nancy's customers, didn't want to upset the apple cart. After Nancy lost my business for good a few years ago, I went elsewhere, but when that salon was taken over and went downhill, I pinged my friend (who was still with Liz) to find out about her new salon. I came on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy with kids getting haircuts, but I was still able to chill out in the awesome spa chair. Liz did an amazing job as always--she is very focused on quality and it really shows. Keep in mind I live in Playa, so there are plenty of places closer that I could go. But Liz does a great job, genuinely cares for her customers and knows how to run a business. I am so happy I was able to go back to a familiar face and get an awesome mani/pedi. LIZ IS THE BEST! I've been going to her for a few years now and followed her from one nail salon to her new sp ot inside Janie and Joe's in Redondo. Besides being incredibly sweet and sincere she is a perfectionist with both nails and brows. Her prices are very reasonable and women come from all around for her eyebrow expertise. When my mom visits from Michigan seeing Liz is a must :) This is not a cheapy race in and race out nail spot where you're just a number and the timer is running, she takes her time and you're nails will look it! The salon she is in primarily does kid's hair so if you want it calm and quiet Sun - Tues the salon is closed so you'll have it to yourself. If you like seeing the adorable before and afters of all of the cute lil kids, Liz is usually there almost 7 days a week. She really cares for each of her customers and it shows. It is not a fancy spa by no means but if you just want someone who will do it like a drive-thru quickie without fancy expectations then this is the place to go if by yourself. I could not be happier with how my nails turned out! Liz pays such close attention to her work and gives a great manicure and pedicure. I got my nails done for a wedding a few weeks ago (I usually don't get them professionally done) but I was so satisfied with both her work and her prices that I have decided to go right back! While visiting the area I asked if there was a nail salon in walking distance. Liz Nails was the perfect stop. Liz is kind, friendly and very good at her trade. I'd call it a mini spa stop. Liz is amazing!!! I made an appointment and ended up having to reschedule to the next day, she was completely fine with this. I had never been to her salon before so I wasn't quite sure where to go, she is located inside of Janie and Joes cuts for kids. Liz met me at the door like she had been expecting me, it made me feel incredibly comfortable. She sat me right away in the massage chair, brought over some magazines, and got to work on my pedicure. The leg and foot massage lasted a good 20 minutes, it was heavenly! She did an excellent job on my toes and began my gel manicure, which looks great! She is an absolute perfectionist and takes her time with each and every nail. She does not rush like most salons, as she only has one client at a time.
