I went and bought my hair extensions and walked in and said I have a total of 10 tape in hair extensions and I have had them done here before and since it's only a partial they only charged me 80.00 last time. She did say 200 before she started however, I assumed she was doing full head! By the time she said that, she said, oh you have product in hair," I JUST HAD SHOWERED. I left with 4 hair extensions and paid almost $300.00!! The following day, one came out! I brought in my own new extension! I did research on the salon and felt comfortable making an appointment though I didn't know anything about the stylist. That's my bad. I was offered an appointment with the newest stylist and I'm fine with that. She had years of experience. I showed her photos of what I was hoping for and what I absolutely didn't want. I had long fine hair and asked for a long bob, lob to just below my collar bone. What I now have is a short uneven layered and a v shaped at the back bob. I've spent the past week trying to figure out how to style this, I'm so disappointed. I'm headed across town to a stylist that is capable of fixing others mistakes. Here's the kicker, I specifically didn't want a bob that was short. Unfortunately that's what I'm going to have to do since everything is so uneven. Hair grows, not the worst thing in the word but it's expensive and time consuming. I'm not calling out the stylist but I will say you know who you are. Take better care of new clients while you are learning what they want. You went so short that there was no room to make a fix. Also, listen. I showed you a long bob you gave me an uneven bob. I've gone to the same hair girl for years, but I really needed my hair done on short notice so I booked an appointment with Aria, and I'm so happy I did!! She was super easy to talk to, made me feel comfortable, and listened to exactly what I wanted. I have dark brown hair, so when I get highlights they usually end up being a different tone than what I had in mind, but Aria nailed it. She kept checking in throughout the appointment to make sure I liked how everything was turning out and made the whole experience feel really personable. After the second time coming in I washed my hair and now my extensions are coming out and beads falling out !!!! I won't be coming back. I had an appointment scheduled and arrived on time . I got there and there was nobody at the desk to greet me or check me in so I was just standing at the front waiting. Someone finally comes over and it already seems like she's rushing and not focused on our appointment. She told me there was no warm water but we could still do the rinse, before I said anything, she basically had already decided she just wasn't going to wash it and she started asking abt the cut. HORRIBLE salon!!!!!!!!! I spent over $500 and I got my extensions moved up that was recently freshly installed 6 weeks ago from my hairdresser in Tucson. After my first appointment I had to text the girl as my extensions did not feel moved up at all. I had to go back the next day, and she admitted they were loose and attempted to fix them. After I washed my hair, they started detaching from my head. Beads just falling off. I text the girl again and she said she was going to contact the owner. I was told to come in today at 9am. I showed up and the OWNER STEPHAINE questioned me as if I installed my extensions. Making me feel as if it was my fault. She then told me I had an attitude and walked away from me and told me she would not help me. I will be reporting this salon to the BBB and the board of cosmetology for incompetence. Stephanie needs to know that they cannot cheat people out of quality service. Do not come here. Read these reviews as I neglected to and if I would have, I would have NEVER came here. This is THE WORST place I have EVER been to EVER. Response to the owner's response - you gaslight your clients based on several reviews and you attempted to gaslight me instead of having any accountability. I will not pay for a service that I did not get. You are neglectful and incompetent and will be reported to the board for further investigation. Your salon should have NEVER provided me with a service if you felt you could not do it. I have record of all the texts your stylist sent me. I already had to come back once because she charged me for a service she did not fulfill. Work on your professionalism. My daughter went in to have her halo redone a few weeks ago. Maria misunderstood what she wanted and did a full balayage instead. We came back a few days later for a color correction to go darker than her natural color, which she didn't do, and not even 2-3 washes later the color correction has washed out. For the price she paid we are VERY upset. $390 plus tip is ridiculous. Maria also messed up the halo in the back when she did the color correction and you can't really tell there is a halo. I was signed up to see Stephanie, read really good things but then was switched to Hiyem last minute. I signed up for an extensions consultation, a blonde design, a Moroccan oil treatment, and red light therapy, but only had the blonde deign she didn't leave time for the other services and still charged me for all of them after. I had been there about 6 hours. The stylist allowed my color to process too long because she was consulting with another client during my appointment. She was also a bit rude, telling me it was hard for me to keep my head straight in a passive aggressive tone that really hurt my feelings, complaining, and constantly reminding me I was her last client. I paid around $600 with tip (I felt pressured into after a comment she made about my finances during check out) for a partial blonding that turned out extremely copper toned and darker than before, even though I said I wanted a warm, Juliet blonde several times and was very concise. She didn't ask before thinning my hair and brushed it extremely roughly, so I left with less hair as I arrived with. The place has a great atmosphere but I would not recommend seeing Hiyem if you do go there. To be completely honest, I am easily taken advantage of. :( If anyone reads this and asked for a juts a shade lighter can you let me know how much you were charged?I was the last one in there no other stylists or clients were still there. First of all, I've noticed a lot of these reviewers say that they spent a long I mean a ridiculously long time in the salon for services that shouldn't have taken that long and I too have that experience. They also said that the girls come across as friendly which they do. The problem is is they are incompetent and they gaslight you. They say that it looks good or that they can fix it and they don't or they make it worse. They also only offer partial refunds it seems even though They gave you a faulty product and or ruined your hair, causing you to come out of pocket financially to fix their mistakes. There's only so many times you can go back and realize that they are so incompetent that they're not going to be able to fix your hair. It will just get worse. I've had to file a dispute to get my money back. Don't go there for hair extensions. they don't know what they're doing. They will use the wrong colored threads and beads mismatch hair. Tell you that it's lighter when it's actually not promised to do things to your hair that they can't deliver on and your extensions will fall out of your head because they're not capable. There's really no way to tell what brand of hair that is. The hair consistency and quality is vastly different across the one line of different bags that they carry. Stephanie, not the owner the stylist did my extensions first actually her work looked a lot better even though she's inexperienced than the manager of The Hair extension whose name is HIYAM the only way that my hair could've turned out looking this way the second time is if it was retaliatory for coming back in a second time, even though they said they wanted to help me fix it. They acknowledge that what they did was wrong. They acknowledge that my brown roots were very very red, and they acknowledged that the hair extension, Stephanie put in fell out But the second time HIYAM used white beans, white string swapped some of the original hair out and the entire thing is mismatched ratty dry Joel and looks terrible. No cut no blending was offered and they're trying to keep over $500 from the transaction Thing too bad it's your hair and I told them that The Hair is bad quality and I also told them that because I've been in there twice and the manager did such a bad job. She also didn't fix my red roots. She attempted to, but she actually made them worse and then said she wanted to dye them dark all over again. I was supposed to have bright blonde highlights. This did not happen. They didn't listen to any of my request requests they didn't know if Stephanie used a permanent or Demi permanent so they did not use the right developer. I even told them they needed to use a stronger developer and they didn't listen. There's no way I could trust them to attempt to fix it all over again. When I pointed out that the beads were white, and the string was white She told me it's no big deal. It doesn't look that bad. You're blonde will cover it. Well, I would like to wear my hair up in different ways. I don't just want to keep my hair the same weight every time to cover your botched white beads. I have tried to email numerous times and let them know it's going to cost for removal and for color correction and my hair is extremely dry from whatever they put on it. So just because they might not be able to return The Hair and recoup their money they should take the loss because I shouldn't have to pay to correct their mistakes. I've offered to exchange the hair that was swapped out for the original hair. I've asked for the original bag that it came in along with the order date and order number, so I know exactly what it is and I've offered to pay a total of $100 to walk away and keep this hair. Not 500. That's less the cost. It's going to cost me to remove the botched job and do color correction and treatment. They have not gotten back to me. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and other consumer agencies. I will not stop until I have a fair resolution. Being nice and friendly does not equate with being competent or fair. They can smile and be kind all they want, but what they did and how they've treated me turned out that they were not so kind. Everyone there is friendly and listens to what you are looking for. My hair needed help. I wasn't getting the results I was wanting from my last stylist. My hair is really thick and takes a while. Stephanie SAVED my hair. I LOVE it and have gotten SO many compliments on it! She not only made my hair look amazing, she was super friendly and really made me enjoy my visit! She asked me what I wanted. I showed her what I was looking for with some pictures. She told me the process of what she would have to do and in the end she nailed it! She knows what she is doing. I have been a customer since 2021, seeing a lot of stylists here for various services over the last 3 years. I will no longer be coming back and am looking elsewhere for my hair services. Each time I have returned over the last year or so.. I leave frustrated and upset. The service has gone down terribly. The stylists all seem to have a bit of an attitude - which I don't have the time or patience for. The last couple times the prices that I get charged are listed differently online when I schedule my appointment. This last service I scheduled a split end mender, and a very light dusting to take the split ends not a hair cut. And was told it was going to be like double what was listed online. Even challenged at the register because "it was not what was listed in their system" i attached a screen shot for the service i booked and was told she is honoring it this time- but will not be the next time- i won't be back. The stylists seem to leave the salon quicker than i can even book a returning service. My money is better spent elsewhere and for the service i get - it's way overpriced. I've been to Hair House a few times in the past and had great experiences; however, this last one was such a train wreck that it tips the scale for all of them combined. (And when I say last time, I mean VERY last time.) I scheduled an appointment to have the red stripped out of my hair and recolored to a greyish silver, which I have done so many times before. The stylist I got had no idea what she was doing and was asking other stylists what to do throughout my entire visit (which was 8 hours long, by the way). She tried a few different methods to remove the color from my hair, which finally started to lift 4 hours later after getting more advice on how to lift it. I was left with my head and neck lying back in extreme discomfort at the sink station for the entire toning process. A root toner was also added to my head without asking if I even wanted it. During that process, I heard the cap pop off of the applicator bottle, followed by her saying under her breath, "What the f**k?" She didn't even say anything to me about it. My hair was still orange when the "final" color was added, so it didn't even work. The end result was an orangish-yellow color with light-brown, ashy blotches all over. Knowing how unhappy I was, with tears in my eyes, they still made me pay $550. The manager told me I could come back the next day so they could try again, but I strongly declined. I was already there for a total of 8 hours and paid enough for them to make me look like trash; I wasn't about to go back in for a round 2. I was there all day, and nobody even offered to fix it for free! I literally left this salon with tears running down my face, and that has never happened. FYI, I genuinely felt bad for her and understood how much stylists rely on tips, so I still tipped her 20% regardless. I'm sure it was a learning experience on her end, and I will not call her out. I'm just livid that I had to pay so much for her mistakes. I could have accomplished more and in FAR LESS time by using the boxed bleach and toner myself. I actually spent all of my Mother's Day trying to fix my hair at home. read more

I went to hair house yesterday to get baby lights. The manager at 59th ave location was my stylist. She stated it would cost me between $300 to $400 to get my hair done. The stylist put about 6 foils in the back of my hair. As she was doing these foils several people came over asking her assistance. She left me several times...sitting there with bleach on my head. I looked over and saw my stylist cutting another person's hair. I waited for a few minutes and watched her continue to cut this person's hair. I asked the stylist next to me who the manager was. That's when I found out my stylist was the manager. I began taking the cape off and clips out of my hair...I was going to leave the salon. Another stylist came over and said she would wash the bleach out of my hair. I agreed. Then my stylist...the manager came over....I explained that I was paying 300 to 400 to get my hair done. That she had about 6 foils with bleach on my hair and she was over cutting someone else's hair....that I didn't feel this was appropriate. I have never experienced a stylist putting several foils of bleach on someone's hair and then leaving them to go cut someone's hair. I should have left then. The stylist stated she understood and would not leave again and asked me for another chance. I finally agreed...which was a big mistake. When we got to the toner...she said your hair pulled up ashy and I dint think your going to like it. She dried part of my hair and it was an ugly gray color. She then took me back to the bowl and added gold. My hair is a horrible color. I wore a hat today. I paid her when I left due to me feeling funny not paying. I paid 400 for the ugliest hair I have ever had. I have been getting highlights for years. I have only had issues a couple times with toner. This is the worst place I have ever been to. Last night I went to Target to buy Opps a hair color remover...I haven't put it on yet...but I am so embarrassed over my hair. FOLLOW UP.......I did not receive any message from the owner. read more

So after hours of researching, I came across this place that was near my dad's house I was staying at. When I walked in and was told I would be with Malia, my honest first thought was, "My lord, I am old enough to be her mother and I have no clue how to communicate with Gen XYZ or whatever, so my expectations weren't the best. Well not only did Malia give me a great cut and color (one of the best I've had in years), but the scalp massage while shampooing then had me thinking, "Umm can I take you home and adopt you?!" Had my hair cut here recently by an newer stylist. She was very sweet but I didn't love the way the ends turned out. I have very thick hair and a blunt cut leaves me feeling heavy on the ends. After a couple days I called the salon and they brought me back in right away to be seen by an experienced stylist named MacKenzie, free of charge to thin out my ends and add some texture. Let me just say, I LOVE my cut now! She left it long as I requested, but it feels super light and took so much weight off my hair! The layers she added are perfect and flow together seamlessly! I'm extremely picky about my haircuts but plan on seeing her again in the future. 100% pleased with my experience at Hair House! read more
