The gentleman asked what services I needed today and I was able to sit down quickly. I searched through a book of pedicure services and selected the Lux Royal Pedicure. She did what needed to be done....The young lady of course. In addition, I selected the Peach for my pedicure scents. This helped with deep skin conditioning, aching joints and dry skin. Got dip powder, full set. Every single one has cracked within a week. Many have multiple cracks. I'm shattered. I'd go back to have it fixed but that would be a waste of another $40+ dollars and over an hour of my time. 2 stars instead of 1 because it was easy to walk in with no appointment, salon was empty, and warm acetone polish removal was pleasant. I used to come years ago when I first moved to the area. I stopped going because the guy in there customer service is HORRIBLE!!! He's an axxhole and charges for EVERY little thing. It's been years but my regulars at a different shop are bk home so I thought I'd give them another try. My nails are lifting and it's hasn't even been two weeks. The gel polish he charges an extra $25 more for is also chipping. He was rude and gave me such a hard time just to re-glue and fix my polish. He blamed everything on me without taking any accountability. I feel sorry for the women who work with him I can only imagine!!! Do NOT waste your time! Such an horrible experience! read more

One of the best salon experiences I've had . The salon was clean, nail techs were professional and very quick.

Maybe a bad day, or they were down a worker for a reason that was out of their control but been here nearly an hour and haven't had my pedicure yet. They brought me and my friend to the chairs after about 30min which was longer than they said the wait would be(15-20min) But now there is only one lady giving my friend and I pedicures separately. Not really the experience you want when you go somewhere with a friend and want to enjoy it together. Thought about leaving but figured it would take us as long to get to another place as it would be to just finish and wait. Wasn't expecting the delayed experience and I have time sensitive things to get to after, so may not even get to get my pedicure. (Gave myself a 3 hour window for my time sensitive plans.) UPDATE: (added 2 stars) The pedicure itself was good. Had to get the basic one though to fit my time window. Would MAYBE come back if I needed something quick and local and I knew they had staff. read more

Today I went to get my money back and they only wanted to give me half and would not give me a full refund until I SHOWED THEM I TOOK DOWN MY PREVIOUS YELP REVIEW. My friend and I came here for her birthday. We were in town for business and I found this salon close to our hotel. She wanted a gel manicure and I wanted a nice pedicure with a long leg massage. I saw someone review for the King pedicure, which included a long extended massage and I was sold. I had a male do the pedicure. I tend to lean away from men with pedicures, they just seem to be more rough and in a hurry most of the time in my experiences at salons. I prefer women on both pedicures and manicures but nonetheless I went forward. The man was using the tool that resembles a grater to remove dead skin on the bottom of your feet. Not my favorite part of the pedicure any time, but know I need it. He was going so fast and rough that the tool slipped from the bottom of my foot and it clipped the top of my pinky toe and sliced the top layer of my skin off on my right pinky toe. I winced in pain and I immediately started bleeding. Now I obviously know this was an accident, but what got me is he did not apologize initially, instead he proceeded to try to put my open wound in the water, put nail glue on the cut, and then tried to put the perrafin wax on it which was very painful. The toe didn't stop bleeding until the very end. I told him to conclude the services on that foot, and to just get to the painting. I requested a French, which he could not do so another lady came over and did a good job. He apologized at the very end of the visit in which I exclaimed I understood it was an accident. When I got to the register the owner didn't offer any apologies, or a discount. I spent $62 to get a subpar French done and a cut pinky toe. It was my friends birthday and her manicure went well, so I didn't want to make a scene on her day; so I paid the full $62. I would stay away from this establishment and pick from the numerous other salons Irving has to offer. read more

I'm Vietnamese. So of course when I walk in, I instantly start speaking English because being Vietnamese shouldn't matter. I went in earlier today, a Thursday around 1130AM, so it was almost empty with about 2 or 3 others getting their nails done. I asked to get my gel polish removed and just a clean manicure with no need for gel polish. I can already tell that when the man (I'm sure is the owner) calls over this lady to come do my nails and to just remove the gel polish, she didn't seem happy or care to even do it. The whole time we NEVER spoke. Only to ask if I 1) wanted round or square 2) is this short enough 3) confirmed that I didn't want gel polish, and 4) to go wash my hands bc we're done. The ONLY interactions I had with her. I never got her name nor did I get the owners name or anyone's name as a matter of fact. She was young and had short length hair to her neck and was copper brownish. When I noticed the way she was manicuring my nails, I knew she either didn't give a shit or she's seriously brand new and too big headed to realize she's not good at doing nails. I don't typically ask for much because I've always been a low maintenance type of girl and only recently for a couple of months started doing my nails at nail salons. Not only that, but my nails are all real. So I know my nails will just grow back and I'll get them redone elsewhere, but the point of this post is for the VIETNAMESE owners to know that they are providing a business service to the community. You don't treat your PAYING customers this way. Heck, I'm sure they didn't know if I was Vietnamese, but I KNOW they were curious if I was. I know when I ended up going to pay, he saw my name on my card and knew I was Vietnamese at that point. The pictures show what my nails walking out looks like. She didn't even finish taking off all of the gel polish layers on the nail beds and didn't even file the edges or smooth out the nail beds. PLUS, you can see my middle finger has a chip in the nail. But wait! I didn't chip that nail. She had accidentally cut my nail too short and this was a result of it. My nails will eventually grow back so I'm not worried. It was a damn waste of $20, but I learned my lesson. FOREWARNING PEOPLE!!! Just because this place is close to your home or work at Cypress Waters, doesn't mean you will get your nails done the RIGHT way. Even though I'm Vietnamese, I suck at doing my own nails. Unfortunately I came here because I had just left my nail salon and I absolutely hated the color. Specifically because I pointed at the nail color and she thought i pointed at the one she put on me. But since I was getting double serviced. I didnt notice till she was done. I felt awk saying something but because its so cheap there to get a gel i figured any other salon in the area would charge the same. I googled the nearest salon and came here. I told them from the beginning that I had just left my nail salon and wanted to change the gel color. So she brings out her drill and has it on a fast setting. I mean it felt hot and my nails were on fire. So then she puts acetone on my nails and foils them. Like OWW! Brings out a hot towel and asks if it was hot. Which it wasn't up until she pressed the towel on my feet. So I said "ok now thats hot.!" And she walks away. She filed my toes and I told her it hurt a couple times. I LITERALLY Just got a pedi. She pulls out some cuticle cutters and cuts more. So at this point Im still like pulling back because obviously voicing pain doesn't matter. I go up to pay and its 33$ I left her 15% tip which was 6$ so I payed 50$ Girl, the salon I go to did my acrylic toes, i got the delux pedi and I did the gel cat eye for 50$ Would I come here again? This is an updated review. I had a HORRIBLE pedicure from here. I'm talking, nail polish on the skin, no color on part of the nail. The company reached out asking if I could come back in and give them another chance. It took me about 2 weeks to find the time, but it was worth it. Holly was so kind and very good at what she does! They took good care of me and my toes are now worth showing off. Its unfortunate that I went through the bad pedicure to get to here, but I plan to come back and see if my experience was a one time issue since I'm definitely happy with this outcome! read more

Well if u need it done quickly ... they def can get it done. I can't say anything good in the respect of the actual being happy about my nails .... very sloppy and pricey if you ask me. Actually all the nail places I've been in Dallas area really suck. They need to take their time on shaping the nail properly especially when you are dropping $60. Also, slapping color on is great but I don't like when I have to ask to clean up the skin around my nails because it looks like a 3 year old did it. They even offer you an array of drinks (Pina Colada, Lemonade, Coffee or Water) and will change the channel to your desired program or sporting event. I really, really hate to give this place any negative feedback--especially after a dozen or more visits, but this morning's escapades have to be told. So, they open at 9:30am during the week. I've been here before at 9:30am and they're always open. This morning was different. I was standing at the front door from 9:25am to 9:50am waiting for them to arrive. Yes... unbelievable, right? A business that lists 9:30am on their door but doesn't follow that. I totally understand that life happens and we can't plan everything, however if something urgent does occur then you HAVE TO let your customers know. Traveling to Dallas to work and found this place close to my hotel with good reviews. The manicure I got though was so uneven and patchy, that I asked my manicurist to start over. I've never had to ask for a full do-over before and I get my nails done regularly every 2-3 weeks. Round two was marginally better... but not by much. Looks like a distracted teenager did it. I really enjoyed my experience at Lux Spa! I was greeted promptly, seated within five minutes. The prices were reasonable, and I was pleased with both the basic manicure and pedicure. The lady doing my nails (I think her name was Leah?) asked if I wanted anything to drink when I sat down. One thing I really enjoyed was that neither the lady or the gentleman doing my toes tried to talk to me. I scheduled an appointment for 10 am for a mani and Pedi. She did my pedi and then another customer walked in and told the manager she only had 30 mins to spare. Instead of losing that customer, they decided the best solution was to stop half way through my appointment and take care of a her. The owner reached out to me to rectify the situation personally over the weekend. I came in October 10 and Tommy did a great job and my nail shape is great. There were only 3 workers and people had to be turned away and told to come back. When I walked in, I asked for a gel fill and pedi. I was told to sit and wa s immediately serviced by Holly, AMAZING PEDI probably the best I've had. After she finished, I waited for about 30 min for a nail tech (Thy) who could do acrylics. I felt I should've been told I wouldn't be serviced by the same person and may have to wait for someone available... I get my fill in and I'm happy with the service, price, and quality... so I thought. Two days later my nail pops off. I got get it fixed by Tommy, I'm charged and pay without arguing it's been 2 days just because it's fixed and I plan to be happy because it may just be a fluke... one day later another pops off. I've been getting my nails done for 9 years and wearing tips based on how it breaks I know it it's me or the technicians work. It was the techs work. I visited another nail salon on yesterday she let me know that the set provide by Lux was too thick, uneven (length and overlay wise), and could see air bubbles (I knew this was a problem because they don't have any fans to dry the acrylic power once applied -_-) I appreciated the wonderful service and hospitality but quality for nails needs to some help. The service here was outstanding!! I love how they pay attention to details. Pricing I guess matches the area but it still took me by surprise. My gel pedi was done by Le and he was very easy to talk to. Tommy is the owner he did my design. I chose the $40 pedi which included a great massage with hot stones. My total was $75... $40 for pedi, $20 extra for gel (which I do believe is high) but seems standard for this area. $15 for the stones. It's my birthday nails so I'm okay with spoiling myself a bit more haha But next time no gel or stones for me. Just a reg pedi with a delightful massage. 5 stars for service. read more

I came here on my lunch break for the first time and it looked small from the outside, I almost missed it. Its to the left of Pita Pit. The spa is very nice and elegant-looking. It appears to be clean and well-organized. The male owner greeted me immediately and was pleasant. They did offer a beverage and I declined. Your services experience, in general, is dependent on which nail tech you end up with. That's why I try to read reviews of who to go to and who not to go but unfortunately, I didn't catch this lady's name--she wears glasses and she looks young. I got a classic pedicure. You have a choice of scents, I chose peppermint. The chair was comfortable and she didn't do much talking but I am the type that doesn't like to talk much--I rather relax. The pedicure was "okay". My feet aren't bad at all but I do have some rough spots on my heels that needed to be scrubbed just a few minutes longer at the correct angle. I am a retired nail technician so I know what all can be accomplished in one pedicure session--smoother heels or at least better than what they were before you came in. In this session, my heels came out worse than when I came in. The massage was ok, she did take her time with that but I like more pressure around the calves but oh well--not really a deal breaker. My toes came out pretty though. However, they need to expand their drying station. There are only two seats available at the drying station and I had to get up so that I can let other ladies dry. I like to let my toes dry as long as possible because I had to put my pumps back on and I know from experience, your big toes take forever to dry. I'll be back but I'm going to try someone different. read more

It was ok. After reading some of the reviews I was a little trepidation's but it's super close to work and I just needed my toes done so I thought I'd give it a shot. The girl tried to upsell me twice which I don't appreciate but overall she did a good job. There was a customer that came in while I was there who was NOT happy and was Coming in for her money back when her gel all peeled off after less than a week. I think she got a satisfactory resolution but still.... So if you just need to get something simple and quick and don't mind the pushy sales approach it's fine. I love this place and I always leave happy! I always get the powder dip nails and typically I pay $55-65 not including tip and depending on the design. It's worth the price for their skilled and sanitary work. I've used different technicians there and no one has cut me or have rushed through their job.
