Save your hair , money and time. I went there 2 month ago, since than I spend fortune to fix what Suzy did to my hair, I paid 350$ for balayage and 80$ for two hair products, which is crazy for shoulder length hair ( it was bleach all over , just not roots and toner which came out after one wash). I already cut it 4 times since than , because nothing works it keeps felling off. I can't use flat iron, curling iron , literally nothing , its always up, because it's so demanded. I want to cry after every wash , because to regrow it , it will take 2-3 years. I have yelow color with dark roots and totally dead hair, for 15 years of dying my hair , that's my worst experience, seriously nightmare. read more

I had my hair done here a few months ago and I didn't realize just how bad it was until I went to another salon to touch up my roots. They wouldn't touch my hair because they were afraid it would fall out because it was so badly damaged, they were shocked at how bad it was and felt sorry for me! When I first left Monroe salon after spending $500 and wasting over 8 hours there, i will admit my hair looked great. I washed my hair about a week later (with blue shampoo) and it turned completely brassy. Since then my hair hair is dry like straw, frizzy, breaking and literally clumps were falling out, not to mention the color is so uneven. I feel so stupid that I spent so much money to ruin my hair and now I have to walk around with dark roots until my hair gets healthier to color again. It's the worst experience I have ever had with my hair! Stay away if you want healthy hair!! read more

Sorry, this is an older experience but it still sticks with me. Not good, not good at all! They say they cater to blondes but it's clear when you walk in who they are catering to. It is a very specific clientele. They overcharge for the services they are providing and try to sneak in costs like "bond builder" without even asking you if you want it...and it's $70. The whole bottle doesn't even cost that, I've looked it up. It's hard to be in there for 6 hours on a color conveyer belt of women all speaking another language and no one talks to you. It's very uncomfortable. Not to mention my hair was supposed to be white blonde and turned grey after literally one wash...and yes I used the correct shampoo. Back to Beverly Hills I go! read more

The worst hairstylist. If i can give zero stars i would. Suzy doesn't know how to handle long hair. All she knows is coloring and short hair. I went in today with long, up to my waist hair and came out with chopped off hair, till my shoulders. All i asked her to do was cut an inch off and give me layers. She ended up chopping my hair off to my shoulders and barely any layers. I have no style to my hair at all. Paid $60 to get my hair chopped off. And she gave me some bullshit on how this is whats in style, this is what is in now. I don't care whats in style or whats in, i care about what i want and how i want it. The point is if u want a nice hair style don't go to suzy. I rather pay more and go to a better stylist. Also, they don't know what appointment time is. If you want to spend the day at the salon, go here. It's a social gathering for hours on end. Lunch break and coffee break with the customers on a regular. It's really quite frustrating because people don't have time to spend their whole day at a salon. However, they are pretty good with styling the hair. They are quick with that and it comes out pretty nice. However, be sure to say exactly what you want. Otherwise you may get something fancier than you may want. I speak from experience. What I ABSOLUTELY love about this place is James! He is a really nice guy that does make up really well! In the past, when I did make up I would feel like a clown and uncomfortable because I looked SO different. But with James, his make up does not feel heavy on the face and rather he is able to bring out your natural beauty while still looking like YOU. I highly recommend him! read more

Being one of Suzy's loyal clients and appreciating the exceptional job she performs every single time, I have to address the long negative review that I just read about Monroe Salon. I was there when this gentleman came in with his girlfriend or wife. There were many other young girls there besides me and having a man around when some girls were getting waxing done and others were walking around with wet hair and short shorts. It got quite uncomfortable and awkward sitting there with a man when there were only women in there. The girl's hair needed a long procedure and a long wait was quite normal in that case. It was quite unproffesional from this gentleman to write this horrible biased review after he was asked to leave the salon because the clients were feeling very uncomfortable. This is not a place to show a biased revange! It's all about the quality of the service and Suzy's exceptional skills and honestly I have never seen anyone complain about any of that which matters the most. P.S. I adore this salon. Everything is so well organized and elegant it seems untouched. The decor is to die for. My friends and I trust no one but Suzy with our hair. She is the queen of blow dry's and blonde hair. Do not misunderstand me; she once gave me a copper dye job that was so beautiful it can't be put into words. For pete's sake, she took me out of jet black hair in two visits with minimal damage and made me a blonde. I'm beginning to think she has hands of gold. She's just so lovely. At times, I don't even want to leave the salon. But when I do leave, i'm showered with compliments. The worst salon I have ever been too. They charged me $300 just to bleach my roots and burned my hair. My roots were still yellow not even toned good. First their price was $150 for roots now it's $300 fucken ridiculous she is. The owner is Suzy and she's suppose to do the blond roots but she leaves it to her assistance that's y they fuck up hair. There horrible horrible and not professional at what they do. The staff has a very bad attitude. Suzy takes her sweet time to dye for about 5-6 hours to fucken bleach hair. No professional hair stylist takes that long. My point is she's not good at what she does and over charges everyone. Soon everyone will relies and won't go to her anymore.
