@Liliana Minasian Extremely disappointing haircut -- not what I asked for I went into this salon with thick, long, completely untouched hair. I was very clear that preserving my length, thickness, and density was extremely important to me. I only wanted long, blended layers, and I provided an exact inspiration photo showing what I wanted. Unfortunately, the haircut I received was drastically different from the reference photo. The appointment also felt extremely rushed. My haircut was completed in approximately 30 minutes while the stylist was simultaneously working on another client's hair, and I ultimately left the salon with wet hair. Afterward, I noticed that my hair was behaving completely differently than it had before the appointment. It no longer holds a curl or style the way it did when I came in. Because I was so concerned about the result, I had to go to another stylist and pay for an additional professional assessment. I was told that the layers were drastically disconnected, the front fringe had been cut significantly and had removed a substantial amount of volume from the front of my hair, creating even more disconnection. I was also told that my ends had been heavily sheared, leaving them much thinner and unable to hold a curl the way my previously thick hair did. This is especially upsetting because I specifically asked for my thick, long, untouched hair to be preserved. I did not ask for my density to be removed, heavily thinned ends, or disconnected layers. I asked for long, blended layers. I have photographs of my hair before and after the appointment, the exact inspiration photo I provided, and documentation from the stylist I had to see afterward. I contacted the salon regarding the situation and requested a refund, but my refund request was denied. I have now escalated the matter to the salon owner and am hoping they will take responsibility for the service and resolve this appropriately. This review is based on my personal experience and the condition of my hair following the service. I would strongly recommend making sure expectations are extremely clear before booking if preserving your hair's existing thickness and length is important to you. read more

I booked a haircut with Liliana three weeks in advance for 02/14 at 12:00 PM. The appointment was confirmed twice beforehand, and the morning of 02/14 she was the one who reached out to confirm. I arrived two minutes early. She was not there. I waited 15 minutes and left. At 12:25 PM, she texted saying she had run to the store. What makes this worse is that she confirmed the appointment the day of and still chose not to be there at the scheduled time. The entire purpose of having a schedule and confirming appointments is to follow through. If you cannot be present, the minimum expectation is a courtesy message before the appointment time. This lady Lillian ruined my hair..... first she was very late and did not seem happy to see me. i asked for layers she refused to give to me she literally told me no lol she was very rude and made me feel very uncomfortable, i didn't need keratin i just wanted a hair cut and style WHICH I TOLD HER and she still used it and charged me more without me knowing, she was rough with me and didn't use a towel on me how she does with other ppl when washing the hair, she didn't use the face shield thing when cutting my hair, hair was everywhere and she didn't even brush it off of me, she was very rude about my hair texture and how i have Afro hair and she literally started getting angry and arguing with her other coworker cuz her coworker was trying to speak for me and she was trying to reason with her. I have no idea why my Afro hair caused her so much hostility but i felt very profiled, discriminated towards, and heart broken because she made my hair worse. I was so excited and she promised to take care of me. She said she had experience with textured hair. I even sent her pictures of my hair pattern wet and dry before the even booking the appt. Lesson learned. Never going back and I'm going to warn others. I stayed quiet but this is my honest review. Horrible experience. Do better. read more

My experience at Palazzo Salon was unfortunately not the best. The hairdresser I worked with was Jacklin. I called around 5pm yesterday asking if I could get a wash, cut, and blow dry done at 6pm and they said that would be fine. I mentioned that I am a student and can not pay more than $70 which is what I paid. Overall, I felt that a very quick job was done with my hair. 1. When I was going to get my hair washed, I told her that I have a lot of oil on the middle of my scalp and if that area could be washed better. I am not sure if she heard me, but the wash on my hair was poor. I only felt my hair being washed MOSTLY on the back of my head using her nails, that unfortunately hurt. 2. When I was getting my hair blow-dried, my hair did not get brushed until about 70% dry. I had a lot of knots in my hair! I also felt a decent amount of strands being pulled out. I got told my hair is damaged because of the knots. Using a knot as an example to show my damaged hair, instead of trying to gently comb it out she ripped the knot apart. 3. When I was getting the blow-dry, the heat on my scalp was horrible! I tried holding it in but at one point, I quite literally jumped because of how hot the heat was on my scalp. She said the heat is to make the hair look more voluminous. 4. I then got bangs cut, which I LOVED! But unfortunately the haircut is the only part about this service that I liked. Jacklin could see I loved my bangs! I had a huge smile! 5. When I took a good look at my hair after I noticed I had a LOT of noticeable dandruff which ties back in with the poor wash. So, I will probably have to rewash soon. My scalp did not feel the greatest either. It is unfortunate that the service went this way, but I felt the need to share my experience. read more

I have been going to this Salon to get my Nails done by Aida. She is great. I would not go anywhere for manicure pedicure gel fill design etc. she is super talented and makes you feel like a princess. The comfort and her expertise lets me rest while she does my nails. She does exactly what I ask for and is super patient with complicated requests. If you go to her you will not go to anyone else. Same salon has the best facialist you can find in town. Her name is Matilda. She is clean, professional, and over all makes you feel refreshed. I've been a fan since Day 1 with not just Palazzo, but with Jackie. In fact, she has been my hairdresser for almost 15 years now. I love her. She's patient, knows what I want, and handles it impeccably each time. Having also tried other hairdressers for blowouts, she is THE BEST at it. Bar none. I happen to (naturally) have very curly, frizzy hair, and her blow outs have passed the test of time and humidity better than anyone else's. Even better than her blow outs, are her talents in eyebrow threading and hair coloring/highlights. I am an architect and extremely picky when it comes to both these issues. A red, is not a red, is NOT a red... Jackie has come through each time and I am not an easy client to please, so she has earned this raving review and then some! One last note because I have witnessed this happen many times. To all the wonderful prospective clients who walk in and call on a last minute notice, expecting immediate service when she already has clients lined up and in her chair... please pull a ticket, book an appointment, and wait your turn! The biggest injustice to both Jackie (and her clients with appointments) is to expect immediate service without an appointment. Not a cool thing to do to any professional. Just got my hair done by Jackie. She did a great job and I am very happy with it for many reasons. I got the Keratin complex treatment and was thinking to get that done plus a cut, I was going to be there for hours. I have long thick hair and am usually in the salon for 2-3 hours. I got there a little early and they got started on me right away. Everyone was very nice. Jackie did a great job on my hair and it went so fast. I was out of there in an hour and a half!! Disclaimer: bad review alert (also sorry lengthy review, but my rant will prove how extremely disappointed i am with this place) So I found a deal on "livingsocial.com" for a keratin treatment near my area, and since those usually cost an arm and a leg, maybe even a kidney (depending how long your hair is), I snatched up the coupon and purchased it. The deal was put up by palazzo salon in Glendale. Never been there, but was ready for a try. I called in a to book my appointment, as I know the keratin process can run a couple of hours, and let them know I have the voucher for the keratin treatment, then asked when I can come in. They seemed opened to any day, so I booked in 3 days. I got there right on time, and only had to wait maybe only 3mins, which didn't bother me. Then I was assisted away to have my hair rinsed before they put the actually product in my hair. During my shampoo, "the lady"(thought it'd be inappropriate to mention her actual name) made small talk with me by asking me if I know about the details of the treatment. I let her know that I've gotten the keratin done on my hair once before. She then said that it doesn't straighten but removes some frizz. I told her that its ok, I got it before and it straightened my hair. She then kept insisting that it will only remove some frizz. She emphasized on the "some". Not wanting to argue, I just let it go and smiled. After the shampoo I got to her chair and she dried my hair. I watched through the mirror as she poured the solution in a container that was about to be put in my hair and noticed the measly amount that she poured. I just thought that maybe she'll pour more when she runs out (btw, I have long hair, long enough that it hits my lower back). After drying my hair she started putting the keratin through my hair, while doing so we chatted. I told her that $120 for the treatment was such a good deal, and she replied saying that she wanted to do some advertising for her salon (which by the way is hers, she's the owner) so she thought why not put out this voucher. Oh yeah she also threw out the fact that she forgot to put the length of hair in the voucher. (longer hair= more solution used for the treatment= more expensive) Anyways, she finished putting all the solution in my hair (she didnt add more of the solution to the container, she only used that small amount in my extremely long hair), that dried it, and flat ironed it. When she was done, I asked for half an inch trim. I felt bad that I was getting a $350 treatment for only $120, I didnt want to 't walk in and out of there without handing them any money, because that would be awkward (I paid for my treatment online already). So from walking in to the salon and out of the place, I was there for an hour and 10mins. Yeah, an hour and 10mins!! No I'm not exaggerating. Now let's compare this to my last treatment. Ok, yes it is known to "reduce 99% of frizz," by doing so it flattens your hair and smooths it out giving it a straighter feel. When I finally rinsed my hair after waiting the couple of days of the washing it, and it's as if I didn't even go to the salon. Nothing's changed. Same old hair. First time i got it done, it basically straightened it. It lasted me almost a year( it was suppose to last only 6 months, but I used the recommended shampoo and conditioner) and "the lady" told me that I'd probably want to redo it in 3-4months (maybe it's cuz she used less product). The amount of product that "the lady" used On my hair wasn't even half of what the last salon used on me. Yes, it's expensive and I paid less than half with "the lady", but why put that voucher online? I still expected the actual full on treatment when I purchased the coupon online. I guess i got what i paid for, this was warning for myself. I was naive to think that i could get this treatment for my hair at a dirt cheap price. Wrong. Another thing that stood out to me was the length of the process, my last treatment was well over 3 hours as opposed to an hour at the palazzo. While paying, I mentioned to her that she was pretty fast, and she retaliated by saying that she's done it alot already. I feel sorry for the girls that paid full price. Well, maybe she fulfilled the full service with those that paid more, hopefully. Now I'm going to have a talk with Living Social and save some money to get my hair done again, somewhere else of course. What a waste of money. Too bad you can't give "zero stars." I hate writing negative reviews, but I am still so upset about my experience here. I called Palazzo for 2 days trying to make an appointment. No one ever answered the phone or called me back. If I had not had a groupon for the salon I would have given up. Today, I tried calling again, but no answer, so I was out running errands and I figured I would stop by and make my appointment in person. Upon arrival, I noticed there was not a single person having their hair styled, and 4 "stylists" standing around chit chatting. I had to ring a bell, and say "excuse me" half a dozen times before a very annoyed stylist came over to ask me what I wanted.She also seemed very upset that I was speaking English. I asked to make an appointment for the service I purchased, and was told only the owner could help me. The owner, who was not there, was called but did not answer. After a while she finally called back and when I explained what I wanted, she told me she was refusing to honor the groupon and hung up on me. From the start, the whole experience with this salon was horrible. Every single person was rude and inconsiderate.This is no way to run a business. Having recently moved into the area, I was hoping to find my new go to salon. Guess I will keep looking. I cant imagine trusting any of those people in that salon with scissors. read more

Palazzo Salon is a place like no other. From your first step into the store you will feel like you've enter a vegas hotel. Everything looks very classy and the quality of work does not fall short. I've been a client of Jackie's for over 10 years now, and she has always been amazing. I have very tricky hair to cut due to how curly it is, but Jackie works through it like its nothing.
