The alcohol that they offer is all local so don't come in asking for some Jack Daniels because they won't have it. I love this because it give us an opportunity to try the local spirits. He made me an old-fashioned that was smoked and it was delicious. We learned a little bit about the area and had a nice chat before we headed back to our room for the night. It was Sunday night, so nothing really was going on however, on other days of the week they have live music and other activities so come check them out if you have a chance.

First: that view. Five floors up, city lights stretching out, not a cloud in the sky. The cocktails set the tone immediately. I ordered the Macaw -- unusual but very delicious in the most delighted way possible. My husband's specialty cocktail held its own right alongside it. I made it my mission to eat as locally as possible and Level 5 delivered completely. The Mole Poblano was extraordinary. My husband's duck dinner had him going moaning and groaning in pleasure. Our waitress was warm and wonderful, and finding out she had Pacific Northwest roots made us feel right at home from about 1,500 miles away. I had read so many positive reviews and was genuinely excited to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, we walked out without ever being served. While we sat there, multiple staff members walked past our table without acknowledging us. No greeting. No water. No "someone will be right with you." Nothing. Then another couple arrived after us and was seated in the same small patio area. They were promptly greeted, given water, and attended to by a waiter who seemed more than happy to serve them. Meanwhile, we were still sitting there trying to figure out whether anyone planned to acknowledge our table. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was looking around and realizing there were no other Black or Brown patrons in the establishment at the time. I cannot definitively say race played a role in how we were treated, but given the stark difference in service between our table and the couple seated after us, I would be dishonest if I said the thought didn't cross my mind. We eventually got up and left. Good food reviews mean very little if certain guests can sit at a table while staff repeatedly walk past them as though they aren't there. Whether this was discrimination, poor training, or simply terrible service, the experience was unacceptable and left us feeling completely unwelcome. We came prepared to spend our money and enjoy dinner. Instead, Sixty Six Acres made it very easy for us to take our business elsewhere.
