Stopped by here with my sister simply because we were in the area, and we had heard good things about it. The place was pretty busy so that is also usually a pretty good sign. We opted for shareables, because, we were sharing! An order of sliders and nachos seemed to fit the bill. The sliders and the fries were alright, nothing special to write home about. The nachos fell short. There was barely any cheese on them. The little of cheese that was found was already cold and hard by the time we got them and started digging in. We ordered a side of queso to compensate for it. Our service was at par with our food experience. Pretty mediocre. She was hard to find when we needed here, disappearing a lot. I imagine we would be interested in giving them another try if we found ourselves in the area again, perhaps we'd have a better visit. read more

So we frequent this place very often... Nicole is by far one of the best waitresses that we have encountered! She knows what we order for drinks and will walk up to the table with them. One of the friendly managers will come with our pretzel and welcomes us back every time! We tried something new this last time around and had the nachos with beef, jumbo wings, and onion rings... The jumbo wings were indeed sizable and delicious- we got the half order which came with 4- wish it was more but with the price and quality it was understandable. They were crisp but tender The onion rings.... Perfect crunch... absolutely perfectly made... The downside... the nachos were underwhelming... they were pretty dry and did not have very much cheese... I personally like a cheese sauce on my nachos which I expected since it comes with their pretzels... but it didn't.. it was only shredded cheese... and not much at that... we will def not be getting those again... but highly recommend them for a bomb pretzel, a great burger, a tasty Cobb salad, or some crunch as heck onion rings! I go to this tavern regularly to watch sports and have meals. The staff know me and I have always been treated very well. However yesterday was different. I was at a bar stool and one of my slip on sandals fell off. So I let the other one drop off, planning to put them back on when I stood up. I was approached by a hostile acting employee - I think her name was Maria - who said, "you need to put your shoes on." I asked her if it was ok if I waited till I stood up? She said, "No. This is a restaurant". Maybe this is a rule, but I felt like this angry response was not necessary. read more

I ordered a cocktail, side salad and half order of chicken wings. The cocktail had hardly any gin and tasted mostly like too sweet blackberry lemonade; a half order of wings is only four and I wouldn't call them jumbo as advertised; and the celery and carrots that came with the wings were barely fit for a rabbit. The celery was limp and brown on the ends and the carrots were dry with a white crust. The only reason I'm not giving this place a one star is because the server, Rinnan, was very nice. read more

I was going to go someplace else but said it is across the parking lot I'll try it. My mistake again!! They try, they do. But they never follow through. A simple lemonade took about 10 minutes. Wow. Now let's see about the food. Inside is nice. Seems people are here relaxing. They did put a soccer game on which is a plus. Food was good but after a few the server went down hill. Asked a couple of times if needed anything then spent her time talking to other workers and forgot Albuquerque turkey was the tasty. Chili was not hot but has a slight kick to it. Get the flavored lemonade it comes with a popsicle. This is the second time I have been here, tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but no service is slow if you are not a regular. Everything was excellent. I had the salmon with dilled butter and it was well cooked (not dried out) and flavorful, and the rice side dish was perfectly seasoned--not too salty. I was most impressed with the salad. I have almost given up ordering salads in restaurants because they are generally sorry affairs featuring butt ends of iceberg or romaine or slimy spring mix. But this was a spring mix that was crisp and fresh and the dressing delicious. My daughter had the blue cheese burger, which she proclaimed delicious, and onion rings. These were not onion rings that shatter when you bite them and then the onions slides out but good rings that held up bite after bite. Portions were generous. Our waitress was sweet and helpful. Yes, it took a while to get the food as some have noted, but it was worth waiting for. Highly recommend. read more

I want to start up with saying I love the area and that they have a nice patio section. I went with some friends for dinner on Friday night, and we tried a variety of things, including the fried chicken sandwich, a burger, and wings. I personally got the buffalo fried chicken sandwich and overall it was good. The fries were a little soggy and not exactly my favorite but it wasn't a meal by any means. Went on a Friday night. The place was busy. We were seated right away. Definitely a happy hour spot and ever there was enjoying the evening. The food was good. I had a burger on a gf bun. It was our first time coming here, and I'm so glad we did! What a great place! Local beers on tap as well as some domestics, and a well rounded menu. We got the nachos, and the burger. The burger was perfectly medium and really flavorful. One of the best I've had in a while. The nachos were also very nice. I can't wait to try other things on the menu! Inside it's a very cool mic if industrial with warm, comfortable accents. We sat in the very comfortable chairs by the outside patio and had had a nice view of the mountains. The menu was simple with traditional tavern fare. My husband ordered the ribs, I the fish and chips and some Mac and cheese and Caesar salad were ordered by a friend. The beer and wine selection was great, not too many to choose from and we were immediately waited on. The food was delicious. Fish and chips had just the right amount of crunch with a nice side of skinny fries. The Cole slaw was good and always a nice side. The amount of ribs given with a half order is plenty. We stopped by this place since it was within a 5 minute walk to our hotel. We were promptly seated at the bar and given menus and drink options. It seemed like a great spot for regulars, but we were mostly hungry from traveling. So we opted for two different burgers--Tavern Burger and Bacon Bleu Cheese Burger. The brioche bun was soft and very chewable. The patties were perfectly cooked to medium. We both opted for all the fixings and also some sweet potato fries. They cooked it all perfectly, but one of the sweeter dipping sauces for the sweet potato fries was just super sweet so we did the ketchup and plain routes. We were both starving so there were no leftovers to take back. They had sports on and people were milling around being friendly and social, but honestly we just wanted to get our burgers and to get out. A quick glance at the beers on tap and the alcohol selections made me pass, since it was just run of the mill stuff. If I was more of a beer person, probably would've tried something out. The food and service were prompt, but nothing super spectacular. Decent food for a decent price. We were glad to try out that place and that they stayed open later than a few other neighboring spots, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return. read more
