I've been coming to this place forever, the lady has been business for 17 years at this location I think? I came here to get my nails done for my wedding and anytime I want to feel comfortable in an environment while I get the best service of pretty much anywhere. The people here are incredibly warm, it is a family run business. If you are kind you get kindness in return. I can't speak to anyone having a rougher experience because I've never had anything but the actual best- but I'm not nit picky or high maintenance. I never get anything but a regular manicure and pedicure, but I always leave feeling great and like I visited family. I'm not a very rich or ritzy person so high-end spas make me really uncomfortable and this place always makes me feel like I am welcome and safe. Overall, I can't speak to the acrylic or gel experience, but I can say that for a regular manicure and pedicure for a regular person. I highly recommend this place. Awful experience. Made an appointment for mani/pedi, both Shellac. The gentleman was doing my toes while lady started removing Shellac from my fingernails using a Dremel, which is not my preference. Also had me soak but it was clear getting me in & out as quickly as possible was the goal. With her grinding away at my nails, him going after dry skin on ball of foot & the chair jiggling away, I had to ask for a break -- way too much going on & my senses were overwhelmed. I mentioned this was not at all relaxing, which was just dismissed with "next time, we don't schedule both at same time." Um, I didn't -- they did. After about a 45-second pause, guy continued pedi. Polish is great but heels feel like sandpaper, worse than when I went in. Resumed mani after the pedi was completed -- uff, where to even start? Nicked my fingers in two spits doing extremely rough (attempt at) cuticle work. Beautiful shade of polish, but thumb & a couple fingers look rough & chunky because the nail beneath the polish looked like Craters of the Moon due to inadequate removal of previous polish. I mentioned it (twice) and was told 1) she purposely left them rough so polish would "not come off so easily" (um, it's Shellac?!?) and then, the second time, that it was just the light and the sparkle in the polish. No, it isn't--nails were left in poor condition with old Shellac still on them because she was rushing. To attempt to appease me, she piled on an extra coat if color and another layer of top coat. So now my nails are rough AND thick with far too much polish. She also didn't ensure the polished covered my whole nail, and then filed the ends more afterward. I'm sure the edges will chip in no time, which I guess is whatever since they look terrible and I need to have them re-done anyway. They look awful, unprofessional and too thick. Very disappointing and I won't return. Sadly, my regular nail place is consolidating their locations and I don't want to drive out to Meridian for my nails, but clearly Luxe Nails is not the solution. Shellac needs to be soaked and scraped, not removed with a Dremel snd I'd like to feel relaxed and a bit pampered, not like I'm the subject of a speed trial. And if I have to mention my heels need extra attention and still have to ask for that work to be done, something's wrong. I'm just peeved and could hardly wait to get out of there. These services were NOT worth $75. read more

I went to get acrylic set with my step mom. My nails are poorly done and as soon as I got in the car I started crying. I got black and white nails and the lady was trying to push me to get pink ones. She made me feel as if my color and design she didn't want to do. She didn't ask for the shape of my nails that I wanted and she just picked out a shape that she wanted to do.she didn't sanitize between doing my step moms nails and mine at all... the acrylics didn't even cover my full nails. I'm getting these nails removed ASAP ! And the design I asked for on my nails looks like a child drew them on. Take the advice of others and do not go here. Like others were mentioning she kept leaving to go answer calls etc...there's nail polish still left on the sides of my fingers (same with my step moms as well).:. The man who did mine positioned his hands such that I could not see what he was doing. My fingernails were trimmed to the quick. I actually had fingernails and was excited about it! Cuticle care? Very little. Polish not all the way to the base of the nail. Toenails also shortened too much-I said a little bit of trim. Minimal cuticle. No cleaning under toenails or fingernails. If you're looking for a convenient place to get a pedicure this isn't a bad place to get one done. The two times I've been in, the gentleman there did a great job and was very thorough. The last time I came in I brought my daughter with me and we each received a gel mani/pedi. The gal that did both mine and my daughters manicure appeared to be pressed for time and she rushed through both manicures. I thought a manicure included trimming the nails and cuticles but I must have been mistaken. The guy did not do a good job on my pedicure. The lady who did my daughter's pedicure was a little more detailed than him. My heels were still dirty and still had dry skin. I went in for a fill and repair of 2 nails. Looked great but not only was it $50 before tip ($10) but 4 nails lifted within 3 days. I went in because she had an opening and my normal salon (which is excellent and not exorbitantly priced) was booked. I'll stick with my regular salon. read more

This was the worst pedicure I've ever received. There was no attention to detail and the service was rushed. After my toenails were clipped, the filing was one stroke across each nail. The removal of my calluses took maybe five minutes for both feet. The exfoliation was quickly done on my legs, no attention to my feet. No massage. I asked for a stronger massage and was told they do not know how to massage, only does nails. He rubbed my legs with lotion, with hardly any attention to my feet. From start to finish the pedicure took 25 minutes. Usually, they take an hour. I really would like my money back. read more

Wow! I've never had such a bad job on my nails. I needed the gel polish removed and then new polish put on. I wanted ombre, darker on the tips and fading out to clear so as my nails grew the color at the cuticle wouldn't be obvious, which is what I had done before. This lady had NO idea how to do hombre. She tried about three times to do one nail and it looked horrible! I finally told her just to polish my nails and get me out of there! I went in with very long natural nails and she filed them way too short and the shape is uneven. She charged me $25 and I shouldn't have paid her anything. I will never go back. Came in for a full set and pedicure, the pedicure wasn't the slightest bit relaxing and was extremely rushed and my set looks terrible, there is tons of glue underneath my nails and the woman rushed me out to start on another client. I've been going to the salon for several years, and the last two times I've gone it's not been as good. It used to be that pedicure was an experience of relaxation, good buffing to remove tough skin on heels, thorough and gentle cuticle trimming, and nail shaping. Now, rush, rush, rush with very little attention to detail, a light brush over the heel not using the emery board stick to remove the calluses along the heel, and very little attention to proper shaping of the nails and cuticle trimming. When she did my fingernails she only use the rough side of the Emery board which left them very rugged and not smooth. The polish seem to be tacky and took a long time to dry. When I asked her to re-trim and push back the cuticles she said she couldn't see any additional cuticles and then proceeded marginally to clean up some of the missed areas. I don't think you can get a proper manicure pedicure in 25 minutes that included the nail polish. So save your money and go somewhere where they do pay attention to the details and are giving you the care, pampering, and precision cuticle trimming and nail filing that you're paying for. $70 for a manicure pedicure today when everyone is more conscientious of their spending these days it's disappointing!! not asking for anything unreasonable, it's simply we expect to get what we pay for and for it to last. read more

I called them a week before to make sure that they do gel fills, and she specifically told me that they do. Their website states they do, and that a full set is $30. I sent my daughter to get her nails done, and they told her they do not do gel nails, only gel color. Instead, they charged her the same price for painting her nails with shellac, selling it as gel, which it is not! read more

Average but not above. I took my 13-year-old granddaughter in for a manicure and her nails chipped within a week. I took her back after calling and explaining that the nails were still chipping after a few days and was told that the polish is only supposed to last for three days! Don't waste your time. I recently stopped in just to get a polish change. I was told it would be 5 min but that was not the case. Every time I asked again how much longer it would be, and saying I could come back at another time, they kept telling me 5 more minutes. This turned into 30 min of waiting that was only met with a terrible paint job. My nail technician rushed me and I noticed she only did ONE coat of color, not two. I've had great experiences coming here. I've gone to a couple nail salons in the same area and this is my favorite of them by far. It's a smaller place, which I like, and I've always been able to get in quickly. My manicures and pedicures have been flawless and for the price point, it's well worth it.
