Atrocious customer service. I went there today for a French manicure. They did a horrible job. Firstly the lady only did the top coat and forgot to do French tips. Then she came back and did it , but it was such a thin layer that it was invisible. When I told her that she told ' your nail too small cannot do'. Not a sorry for forgetting or tell me how to do it better... Then when I insisted to get it fixed there were ho hums and she told an another person to do it. The other person who is a man usually does a good job but was very rude and did shoddy work. $105 and 1.5 hours later all I got was a lousy French manicure and rude service. My first time coming here and I was happy with my $40 Pedicure. I don't pay much attention to some Yelp reviews and prefer to form my own opinion after the service. In this case I was again, glad that I did. I was a first time walk-in at 11:00am on a Saturday and they seated me in a massage chair with my feet in nice warm water. Came in as a walk-in for a polish change. We travel pretty much full time as retired and I get my nails done wherever we are. I soak once a month and change as needed. Normally I pay about $10 for a change and I tip really well. It takes about 20 minutes. They were pretty busy. I didn't mind waiting 25 minutes. Took about 20 minutes. They weren't very friendly to say the least. Went to pay and insisted on cash for a $15 charge which luckily I had or they would have had to take my card. My wife just came home crying after she went to this "spa"to have her acrylic nails removed. Instead of trying to ease them off one of the male employees just started cutting and pulling at the nail. It ripped off so much that we can feel the skin beneath her nail. On top of all of this they made her pay on the pay out and said, "sorry come back when it doesn't hurt." Lacy did my pedicure and it was genuinely one of the best pedicures I've ever received. I don't normally get the hIgher price point pedicures but I did today to treat myself and it didn't disappoint. Sugar scrub, cooling scrub, paraffin wax, and each leg was massaged twice with hot stones. 62$ for all of that was such a good price. Lacy also did an amazing job cleaning my nail beds and trimming everything to perfection. Her polish application was perfect as well. From out of town and stopped by with my husband to get a pedicure. The man who did my foot was extremely rough with my cuticles, scrub and hot wrap. When I told him too rough he only stopped for a minute but continued hurting me. I was waiting for my paint to dry and he began to rush my husband and I out of the salon. There were no new customers coming in and I was afraid I would mess up my paint in the car. Upon check out and me handing him my credit card he told me the credit card machine was broke. (Yeah right) and directed me to the ATM inside his shop. There were no signs, and no one told us in the beginning the credit card machine wasn't working. I'm always skeptical about pulling money out in cash in different states, and especially a shoddy nail place. Now I'm forced to monitor my bank account because he made me feel like I couldn't leave. It will be expensive, so I want to be happy with what they give me. $77 later. I'm walking out of there completely furious from how I was treated. Very nice, clean and good quality mani pedi. One of us did regular Polish and one did gel. Everything was quite good. They may do your hands and feet at the same time and this makes it efficient but less relaxing. I do recommend this place. We asked for callous removal with a razor tool or 'cheese grater' but they don't use them. Apparently, Idaho has been impacted by government rules you see in other states. We need this revoked! I went there for the first time for a mani/pedi.. The building was very clean with an updated interior design. The massage chairs for pedicures were VERY nice! In pristine condition and gave a great massage. I chose the Deluxe Pedicure. It was wonderful! The massage was great. There is nothing worse than having someone rub your chins & the balls of your feet for 30 minutes. The massage at TT nails was far from that. It was absolutely relaxing and wonderful. The cooling mask was very refreshing too. I chose the basic manicure, it didn't have all the frills but was very nice as well. Perfect for a quick in and out and look great service. One full hour. After getting the nails done I was at counter to pay. Cashier: $25, do you have cash? Me: no Cashier: (looking at my purse, she could see the cash) you have cash. They don't use proper blood safety and sanitation practices. The lady doing my nails was wearing dirty gloves that already had multiple colors of polish on them when she started doing my nails. She then cut me and drew blood with the file. Without changing her gloves she proceeded to rub them all over the cut and when it didn't stop bleeding just put glue on top of it. She then put the bloody file back into the drawer she took it out of.. she didn't throw it away, she put it back to be used again on another client WITH BLOOD ON IT. That's a great way to spread bloodborne pathogens. They also lied to me about the price they would charge me (saying $35 when I asked them online and then charging me $45 when I got there.. well $40 since they cut me) and also did a generally terrible job since all of my nails were different lengths and shapes. This place overbooks! I had an appointment for noon. I sat for a half hour before I was put in a chair for to sit for another half hour. When my mani pedi started 1 hour after my appointment time the owner (who is the only decent nail tech) started my manicure but left in the middle, turning me over to another staff member to start my pedicure. Then her husband took over. Three staff to do the job of one. I felt like I was getting an oil change instead of a mani pedi. After my appointment as I was paying, the owner asked me to pay in cash. When I told her I didn't have cash she pointed at the ATM machine behind me. When I said I don't have an ATM card with me she turned on her heel and walked away. My mom and I had gone here once before and had an okay experience as the salon was not busy. In fact, I think it was us and one other client. So, we decided to go again for pedicures yesterday. WOW! The other reviews that give one star are spot on. I would give zero after our experience yesterday. PLEASE READ. I am not one to normally write reviews but please don't go to this place. Absolutely awful place. I got a fungal infection from them and they just kept doing my nails and never mentioned it to me and it got worse and worse and they just kept covering it up. Refused to give me my full money back and refused to let me see their nail license when asked. They were incredibly rude to me and acted like I knew and I just wanted to keep covering it. They shouldn't have even been working on my nails from the start of seeing the fungal infection. This means they are using polish, power and tools on hands of people now that they use on mine. I knew something was wrong when I saw it but I wasn't sure so I went and got a second option and a doctor and they were absolutely horrified someone would just keep working and not inform me what was going on. I really like this close to home salon....its clean, the staff is friendly, and they do the best gel nails! Recently, I had my nails done at a salon in So. Cal....they were pretty, but broke constantly! I went in to TT's for a repair...and they did it for no charge! I later returned 45 mins before closing with 2 more broken nails and decided to just have them do a full set rather than break any more. They had no problem taking me in and fixing me right up! Out and about running errands yesterday I saw TT Nail Spa and looked down at my almost one month old pedicure. I usually don't go so long between pedicures especially in the summer but being new to Boise I haven't yet found all my "new" places for stuff yet. I opened the door and found TT Nail Spa to be busy which I took as a good sign. It was clean and they had a great selection of polish...even better than my salon in Seattle. They carry OPI and a second line I can't recall the name of. They offer their clients a choice of beverages (bottled water, soda, etc...) Even though I had a short wait I was seated in a pedicure chair so I got to soak my feet and enjoy the massage chair as well as catch up on the latest celebrity gossip. TT Nail Spa has a range of pedicure packages. The most basic one is $25 for 25 minutes. The next step up was a 35 minute pedicure for $35 which included your choice of a hot (paraffin) or cold treatment. I opted for this package. The other packages increase in price and time from the base. The cool treatment was super refreshing on my feet and legs...tingly, peppermint bliss. The foot/leg massage was good, not epic. The pedicure is definitely pricier than most places I went in Seattle and since this is the first place I have visited in Boise I can't say if it's the norm or high for prices. Service was good. If I happen to be in the area again I would pop in but not sure if I would drive across town for a pedicure. They take walk-ins as well as appointments. read more
