Had an appointment for Friday. I got my feet done first. Decided to get a spa pedicure. I think they were training this woman. although she was very nice she didn't seem to know wha she was doing. After everything was done she had to go back and fix all the nail polish that was on my skin. I tipped her because I felt bad because she was trying. But when I get home and took my socks off, my feet were so rough I wasn't funny. When I went for the manicure a fill-in, she licked me at least three times and then at the end when you're paying, she charged me for what the person who left this place would normally charge me and that is with designs, but this time I got no trying to explain that to them and in the end I ended up paying it because I just wanted to get out of there. Came here based on the good reviews, and I was sorely disappointed. I'm not even a super picky person about my nails, but I was almost in tears by the end because of how bad they looked. Please avoid this place and don't come here. The workers are not pleasant or friendly, and they seem to respond negatively to feedback. In my experience, you should want to do the nails beautifully and perfectly for your customers. I seemed like a burden just because I was asking them politely to fix the technique. I got a pedicure with French tips, which was a disaster. I had to walk her through every step of the process, and I couldn't even relax. She didn't even file my nails evenly (which is the most basic thing you should know how to do in a salon), and all of the lines of the pedicure were of different thicknesses. I looked like a clown. The manicure was actually probably the worst I've ever gotten in my life. The technician looked like she started doing nails that day. They looked messy, uneven, and generally horrible. She barely took any time to fix the nail onto my nail bed correctly, and left them thick. Each nail looked like it was pointing in a different direction. I got these done before I flew across the country for a baby shower. One nail chipped off the mere night after the manicure. I didn't have time to get it fixed before my flight. Absolutely found my new place. Just moved to the area and found Luxe Nails on Yelp. Despite the mixed reviews I decided to give it a try. I am so happy I did! All of the tools came out of sealed pouches. They used a liner in the pedicure basin. Everything felt so clean and professional. Great experience and great job with the gel mani and pedi. I also really liked that everyone seemwd so friendly and the whole salon was talking to each other, the employees and customers. Reasonable prices, very similar to other prices in the area. The only reason I'm giving one star is because there's no option for zero. I went in so excited for ombré nails and got stuck with Kevin and ended up leaving crying. They wouldn't refund any money or at least try to fix them. In order to get them fixed I would still have to pay the same price for something they messed up on..... I went to get acrylics placed about 1.5 weeks ago with appointment placed and they did a beautiful job initially. The nails lasted the entire week during my trip to LA but because it was my first time with tips on I wanted to get them removed sooner than later as I type a lot during school and my vacation was ending. Because it was last minute decision to remove them I made sure to arrive as soon as they opened to have them removed and MAYBE even get a manicure done if time allowed (on both ends) I was even okay with making an appointment later in the week or the day to get the manicure done. When I walked in, no one said good morning or even acknowledged me for a solid 1-2 minutes. I sat down and then one of the staff members asked me if I had an appointment. I said no but that I needed to get the tips removed and possibly a gel manicure. I waited for another 3-4 minutes for a response .... They were not proactive about their jobs.... there was no one else waiting either. It was me, 3 employees and 0 answers. They finally asked me to sit down and it was followed with a very unhappy discontent employee who looked more than annoyed to be anointed to my care. Prior to coming to the nail salon I had already cut the tips partially to make my life easier while typing which I explained to the nail tech. However, he failed to listened to me the 3 times i told him i did that. Then he proceeded to accuse me of not getting my nails done there in the first place. I had no idea where the passive aggression was coming from as I was not gaining anything from lying about where I got my nails done. He accused me about 2 times more after that. Honestly, I felt so uncomfortable during my stay there that I just did not want to come back again. I know they do good work, but please... Be more humble and kinder to your customers whether they made an appointment or not. Work more professionally. If you do not want walk-ins then please state "by appointment only," or else do not make it so blatantly obvious you do not want me there. All of them acted like children. read more

James really is amazing! I'm originally from Essex County and have been struggling to find a reasonably priced place in Bergen County that does nails well buttttt I think I've found it! James is detail oriented and gentle - I didn't have my hand smacked once ha. It was $20 for a fill in which is about what I paid in Essex County and +$10 for gel polish. All the nail techs seem great (I can't be the only one who watches other people get their nails done lol curious much) and they had Netflix playing so that was chill. I see a lot of people complain about prices but I'm sure if you pay less you get less and let's not forget inflation is real and worse than ever. If you're not looking to tip $10-20 for a basic fill don't book here. I have been clientele here for years ever since they opened as well as family of mine as well which they just lost after today. I booked an appointment with Jeremy and paid $70 for an acrylic refill when all other regular fills are between $45-50 not to mention he left white acrylic on 4 nails from the last appointment which I didn't complain about either. I didn't complain about the price and paid and tipped $5. & he said I didn't tip enough when what I got was simple and no extreme design or add one just colors. Jeremy stated that the tip wasn't enough and that he's more worthy of just $5 and said it in front of everyone making it seem as if I didn't tip anything. I'm a full time nursing student and I paid and tipped and it wasn't enough & was told rudely that I should've given a lot more which I wasn't going to do. Just lost three clientele. read more

This place is it. I am so thankful that this place exists. It had been a long time since I had gone to get a pedicure. During that time, I decided to cut my own toenails, and what a mistake that was. I ended up hurting myself more than helping myself. I finally decided to get a pedicure and chose this place. I didn't have an appointment and I'm pretty I showed up during a busy time, but they took me anyways. I didn't get a chance to get his name, but I will next time. He did wonders for my toenails. He knew what needed to be done and did it. He basically did surgery on my nails and I couldn't stop raving about it to everyone. So I definitely recommend this place. My original nail salon keeps canceling their nail appointments on me so I was searching for a new salon near me to go to. I called them on my way home from work to see if they had an available appointment to get my toes done which desperately needed to be done. They were able to fit me in and I fell in love with how clean they are and the attention to detail they show. My safety shoes I use at work ( production safety rules ) create bumps on the side of my big toe kind of just like a blister building on top of a blister and the girl who did my toes filed it off for me which makes me happy because I am a type 1 diabetic so I do need to get my toes done just for health reasons. I honestly don't know what's going on with Jeremy lately but his ego is really getting to his head. I guess they don't need customers from the way he has been treating clients lately. He actually told me he was the best and there is no salon better than his. After I paid a lot for a color change I went to another Tech Kevin. Kevin was my original tech until he shortened his days for family reasons. That is when I went to Jeremy. I mentioned to Kevin about the prices and he really had nothing to say but he immediately ran and told Jeremy what I said. So my next appointment I booked with Jeremy and when I came in he didn't say a word but would get up multiple times to talk about me to other techs. They was laughing and snicking making me feel uncomfortable. James was behind the desk and I asked him to get a color he was near and he told me to ask someone else to get it. I said nothing because I'm there for a service and apparently whatever Jeremy said about me he lied and exaggerated to get the whole staff looking at me sideways. Jeremy usually takes a long time to do nails but today he was extra long. It took him 2 1/2 hrs for a fill in and pedicure. It was the best fill in and pedi he had ever done for me. At check out he charged me 70.00 and I gave a 10.00 tip. I didn't say a word for charging me an extra 10.00. Usually I pay 35.00 for fill in and 25 for pedi. After not saying a word to me for 2 1/2 hrs then he asked me to go outside. Red in the face he yelling at me telling me he heard what I said to Kevin and he didn't like it. He doesn't like being talked about meanwhile he was talking about me for 2 1/2 hrs. He told me that he's the best manicurist. That I would never find anyone better than him. Then he lied about prices he charged me in the past and bought up personal things I told him as a threat. Then he bought up reviews and said if I wrote reviews I better take them off or I can't go into the salon again. Because they are all family I guess they feel it's ok to treat people this way but it's not. So Jeremy says to me "look how long it took me to do your nails". I told him he takes a long time to do everyone's nails. He's never on time. You always end up waiting. He said he wanted to show me how good he was and that I couldn't go anywhere better and he charges by how long it takes him. So I said your charging by the hr or half hr. He didn't know what to say. It ended with me crying and him being cocky and walking away. Long story short when you go in ask for prices up front. Don't tell your personal business to the techs because they discuss it with one another and it will be used against you if you have a problem. It's no longer a business it's turned into a personal space where you as the customer can't say a word. And if you have an issue or complaint just keep it to yourself because your issues mean nothing cause Jeremy is the best manicurist in the world! read more

PLACE SMELED LIKE BLEACH, not good for health and I booked an appointment yesterday for 2 people at 5pm, and we got there. Picked out our color and it was 5:30pm. We were still waiting. More people kept coming in and one lady was called in to sit. We were so frustrated. The other 2 ladies who booked at 5pm was also furious and told me this was ridiculous. Later the nail lady stated she had a few trainers so it'll take a while. I told her she could've told me that because I called at 12pm to make an appt and I killed time.
