The staff here was very kind and helpful about getting our group in, especially since we had 4 people, but overall the service experience just wasn't great. They seemed really understaffed from the start. Three out of four of us were started while one friend sat in her pedicure chair for over 10 minutes without even getting water added, which immediately made things feel a little disorganized. I paid for one of the more expensive pedicures that included a 15-minute massage, but honestly it was one of the most lackluster massages I've ever had. The technician kept looking at the clock behind me during it, which felt awkward and somehow made me feel rushed or guilty for taking the full service, not exactly the relaxing spa experience you hope for when spending around $90 on a pedicure. At one point I was left sitting with hot towels on my legs long enough for them to turn basically ice cold before someone different came back to finish the service. I also wish pricing had been communicated more clearly. I wasn't given an option between regular or gel polish, and wasn't told gel would be an extra $20 until checkout. That said, my nails did turn out cute in the end. I just don't think the overall experience matched the price point, and I personally probably wouldn't return. read more

I had an amazing pedicure by Lynn. She was kind, clean and professional. Katie did my mani and she was my favorite, the nail color I selected wasn't the best, she made a recommendation of the prettiest most feminine color. I loved chatting with her and connecting. Hang was amazing and upbeat, and offered us happy hour, her margaritas are amazing. I haven't had this much fun at a nail shop in a while, and I've been to many because of living in the Bay Area. Prices were higher than. Expected. $60 mani pedi and $40 for m husband pedi only of course no polish . Also the color chart was not the same color on my nails that I picked out it was much lighter than the color you see on the card. Took her three try's of colors I picked & I was told unless you get a gel the color is different. It made little sense to me but just went with it. I didn't like that color experience or discussion. I went in as a walk in. The business owner was so welcoming and polite she sat me down and had a little convo before the nail tech came over. Ivy was so sweet! I am usually afraid to go because I'm sensitive and she didn't hurt me once. It was gentle and a very clean gel pedi. BUYER BEWARE: don't make the mistakes we did. Confirm the additional service fees before you start your service. Hang was very nice at the beginning. This experience was 100 percent our fault that we let our guard down and did not ask questions about pricing. I asked for acrylic nails. My daughter comes back with gelX nails. I asked for shimmer polish and they did cat eye instead. Every service ended up costing us nearly double what we anticipated. Again totally our bad. What was completely uncalled for was Hang's aggressive behavior toward us when we asked for explanations on the upcharges and for transparency on the additional charges. When I pointed out the prices on her menu she said her menu was "outdated" while we were paying our bill she cyelled at us about Tahoe prices and to go have a nice life. Definitely not a "Luxe" experience. Definitely one and done. We're going back to Monaco nails a half a block up the road where the service was much more pleasant. read more

The nail technician did NOT address my cuticles, remove extra skin, address rough spots, clean any dirt under my nails, etc. All she was concerned about was upselling me which was of no value because she didn't even do the basics. The woman who did my nails doesn't know how to work with acrylic at all, she put 2 layers of polish in some nails and 3 layers in others. You can see the small bubbles in my nails which are totally irritating. I had a special request of leaving my thumb nails shorter because of personal preference and the woman made fun of my choice. When I left the place, my hands were full of the glue they use, I kept on telling her to fix small things and all she said was "after" (never got anything fixed) I told her and she said she did. Also, some of the staff fail on putting their masks on correctly or even putting it on at all. Complaints every step of the service. Do not waste money! Went in for a mani/pedi. The tech couldn't perform a French tip polish after 30 mins. Nails weren't filed straight. She repeatedly gave me the file to show them how to make it even when I complained. What nail tech can't file a straight line? The gel manicure wasn't finished before the manager came over and told me it wasn't possible to complete with that tech. I had to go to another salon to fix everything, so they wouldn't butcher my nails any more. everyone was very unprofessional. Would not recommend at all. Waste of time and money. When I asked for refund I was still charged for pedicure. Even though they didn't complete or remove the terrible manicure after 2 hrs. Don't trust their follow up to this post- worst salon experience ever. $90 to be furious and still pay to fix it somewhere else. To the owner: No Hang- my experience in your salon was unforgettably terrible. I'm positive it was your salon. Don't question my intelligence or memory. I really debated posting this. This is by far the worst full set I've ever had. Thick, misshapen, lumpy, hazy cloudy finish pointing in all different directions. I paid $65 for this mess. Why debate? Because the women here are absolutely darling and so so so kind and accommodating. But, damn. I tired saying multiple times in the process that these weren't what I wanted, but gave up. I will now have to pay someone else to fix these. Because these are gross. There are clumps of dip powder on the underside of the nails, rough and sharp pieces at the tip of almost every nail. We took a walk along the lake and was craving Mexican food, turned to Yelp and found the best taqueria there. Anyways this salon was walking distance from our lunch, so I pooped in and spoke to Kerry. Told her what I wanted which was acrylic fill with gel polish. She told me it would be $45, a little more than some places in Bay Area. She was fun to talk to and did a great job. Most importantly my nails look great 2 weeks later. I have to make this review because my nails are currently 2 weeks old and still as STRONG as day 1 (never happens with my nails, I lift weights 4x a week + I'm a waitress so they always break/weaken) . Jimmy is so sweet and truly a rockstar at what he does. He gave me perfectly-shaped olive green dipped nails, and constantly made sure I was happy with the color and shape before continuing anything. That to me is always important, too many times in the past I've asked for something specific with my nails only to realize too late that they aren't what I envisioned. I am so happy with how they turned out even now after 2 weeks! Also, Hang the owner is so sweet. Makes you feel so welcome the second you walk through the door and won't have you leave unhappy. I don't even need to wait till the end of my appointment to write this review. First time here, I'm from LA area and made an appointment at around 3:30 pm for 6 pm. I arrived about 15 mins late due to traffic. I apologized to my nail tech and told her I unfortunately needed to be out by 7:20 to pick up a friend from work. Which meant squeezing in a mani/pedi in about an hour. Without hesitation she said "not a problem." She turned on my massage chair and grabbed me a glass of champagne. She immediately went straight to work and despite having to work quickly, she was incredibly gentle. I rarely feel relaxed at a nail salon but every moment was enjoyable. I'm writing this during my pedicure and haven't even seen the final result. But - I don't care how my nails turn out.
