My estimated wait time for an automatic car starter was 4 hours but it was completed in 2.5. I had to go home to get a second set of keys as they needed that built into the car to "trick" the engine into starting. This was a Groupon for me, and my overall experience was alright. My advice to Luxury Details is if they call/email their clients before an appointment to remind them what is needed, plus later followed up to make sure their experience was satisfactory, then customers would feel happier. If I could give a 10 star I would. I brought my wife's XC90 in to get some work done and get a full paint protection installed. When I say Matt and his team did an amazing job, it's an understatement. They took care of all the minor scratches and marks on the doors and I promise this looked better then the day we got it from the dealership. No idea why the reviews here ain't higher. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and professional with his work. I was turned away by a couple of installers regarding a remote start on a Land Rover Vehicle. And to those that said they could do the install, not many gave me the assurance that Matt did. Install went very well, and I felt price was very fair for the quality of work. In fact I dropped by earlier than he was expecting and managed to check out the dissected car. He had actually went above and beyond in wrapping my cars parts while they were out of the car, to prevent scratches or damages to it. Even when the car was re-assembled. There was zero rattles, and he wrapped up loose bits in heat insulation and some dynamat. Absolutely satisfied with his work. And will be back for radar and laser coverage soon! read more

I called Luxury Details in Framingham asking to set up an appointment to get my windows tinted. I drive a luxury car so luxury in the title made sense for me. The gentleman...excuse me...boy who answered the phone told me that he'd call me back to schedule an appointment but never did. Okay, whatever. I called today to ask about the insurance inspection, and I got a very rude: "Not today." and then it was quiet. I asked, "Why?" and he said: "We're closed today." ... Okay. No offer to reschedule or since he answered the phone, to pencil me in later this week. This place lost my business not only once, but twice. Without even setting foot in the door! Hopefully the owner sees this and makes a few changes in how his employees work the phones. Basically, poor customer service means you're turning away cash flow. Business 101! read more

UPCHARGE on everything!!! Poor customer service, was charged $$70 extra for who knows what, and the remote options still don't work. Called and he told me to have the remote options work it's a $40 fee on top of the $70 I paid... On top of the $129 + groupon. TOTAL SCAM! Beware you've been warned stay away from this place!! Spoke to owner Matt Kouyoumjian about putting on running boards, lighted door scuffs, and film on new car. He explained all the details and pricing. Made me feel very comfortable. Showed me his shop which was very busy but very clean for a garage. Only expensive cars could be seen in parking lot. He came in on price but could not deliver on time as this was the first time he had done this brand of running boards, which were from Korea with hard to interpret instructions. Took a couple of extra days. Everything on car worked and looked like it was supposed to. The only slight negative I had was there were some smudges of dirt on seats from guys working. Took a damp cloth when I got home and everything came off. Highly recommend Matt and his crew which were all upbeat and very polite. read more

Living social had a deal for detail ($120) so figured I would try them out. Not impressed. My car has 90k miles on it but looks almost new. Quite honestly, it did not look much better after their detail. I emptied all of the compartments (doors, center console, etc) expecting them to vacuum and wipe them down. Nope. They did wash and wax the outside so at least it has a coat of wax before winter. Definitely not worth the money though. I think they are more into electronics and just did the detail thing to make a little extra $$ (but that is just a hunch). When I dropped it off at 9 am, Guy said he would call when it was done. Got my Jeep lifted there last November. Lift was done completely wrong, had to bring to another job to get the entire thing realigned. Guy behind the counter was great on the phone, but when I got there he tried to sell me every service/part possible. $25 for a wiring harness you can get online for $3. I was in a jam and needed it asap. He said he would wire everything for me when I got there (harness to harness to wheel controls) as if he would do it as a courtesy and warned me not to fry my ECU. I ended up getting a clear bra, passport 9500 ci radar / laser jammer with rear mirror display ( I have no idea how he did that but very cool), tinted windows, tire install, and valved meisterschaft exhaust, I was hesitant about getting the exhaust because of a previous citation for modified exhaust. I read all the reviews and still bought the Groupon. Let me start off by saying the people complaining about the remote start have clearly not done the following: 1. read the terms and conditions 2. researched the installation procedure for a remote start Most of their frustrations would have been resolved with doing either of those. All newer vehicles with chips in the key require you to sacrifice a key, or pay more for a thingy that mimics a key. Matt was great he soldered all connections and was showing me how the cheap plastic connections are more likely to fail. I got exactly what I expected because I read everything before I purchased the Groupon. Don't be scared just do a little research to save some unnecessary frustration. Matt was impressive from the start. He answered all of our novice questions about audio installation before we even owned the car. We visited other shops and never got the same feeling of customer satisfaction that we got from Luxury Details. We had an amp, front component and rear coaxial speakers, and subwoofer installed to the factory navigation head unit. He also recommended sound deadening in the doors and trunk due to being a commuting car. What a difference the sound deadening does for a commuter car! The audio came out so much better than expected! We were blown away. The install was very clean and there was no damage to the interior. He also installed LED ambient lighting throughout the interior that came out really well too. We came back for a window tint a week later that came out great. At the same time he fixed an issue with a hiss coming from the factory head unit at low volume. He didn't stop until it was fixed and we were completely satisfied. This is a rare trait these days. I was cruising around Framingham on Sunday, 5 July and happened to run into Matt going the other way. I turned around, caught up and followed him to his shop. I had every intention just to say hello and catch up. After catching up, Matt surprised me by asking how my stereo system was operating and helping me with a couple of questions. He then pulled my cargo matt out of his shop and trimmed it to fit around my sub. All of this on his day off. Oh, and I caught the chance to meet and talk with his lovely wife. There are more than a few shops in the area that do custom auto sound. There are no other place though that treat you like Matt does. I bought a Groupon for a car starter. I reached out on January 29th by email to get a time slot for install as the phone number went straight to voicemail every time I called, regardless of time or day. On February 13th I received an email back stating I needed an additional bypass for $125 and earliest install would be March 30th. Whatever, I figured there would be a catch. The weekend before my appointment I tried to reach out and reschedule as my basement flooded and I had my hands full trying to dry out and rebuild my home with a newborn in it. Still no reply, phone number goes straight to voicemail with ZERO call backs. Worst customer service I've ever had. They may have so much business they can't get to everyone? Maybe that explains the lack of contact. After waiting for a call or email for 3 weeks I cancelled the whole thing with Groupon and got my money back. I would never do business with them. To date, still no reply to email or phone call. It's been 4 months. read more

I was very impressed with Luxury Details and with the owner, Matt. I shopped around Boston for a new DVD/GPS/NAV head unit + back-up camera for a new Suburban. Matt's prices were the best and he was a pleasure to work with via email - super fast responses and he answered my endless list of questions. After installing the unit, the face plate around the device did not allow for the system to eject, I also wanted him to move the remote microphone. He ordered a new face-plate, no questions asked, and then resolved all of my concerns - not charging me anything for the microphone move or rear-camera adjustment (as I (or one off my children) had hit it). I dropped off the car and left it for the day, so there was no issue for me with the wait time. I have no complaints about their customer service. I will complain about the quality of work as I had to drop my car off at the dealership after having issues for a week where it would take several attempts to start the engine. I just found out after they spent several days working on it/diagnosing the issue that the remote starter that I had installed at Luxury Details was poorly installed- two wires were crossed that caused this issue and its going to cost a lot of money to replace two parts on my car due to this. Not to mention that I will lose my ability to use the remote starter which I haven't had for very long. I rarely write reviews but I was so upset about this--Very disapointed! read more

Matt is a friendly owner/installer/fabricator who really knows his stuff and true to the name paid attention to the details! His installation work is very neat and clean. He worked hard to get the Metra harness right to integrate the new HU with stock display and steering wheel controls/bluetooth calling. I was in the midst of selling my 06 infiniti g35. The front end of my car had unsightly damage from road debris we routinely experience in Mass, and my headlights were scraped up and pitted. They did an excellent job making the pitted front end disappear and sparkling up the rest of the car.
