The sides of my fingers are so cut up. They hurt so bad. She filed into my skin on the sides and tops of my hands so many times on every finger. I literally had to stop her because she just kept wanting to file them. They acted like they knew how to do Gel X but kept asking me how it's "usually done." The service was rushed and unfriendly, and I left with nail glue all over my hands and uneven nails. Paid $45 for a gel manicure and could not be more disappointed and upset. I just wanted classic red to go with my Halloween costume and it literally looks like a child painted my nails. I understand my nails were short to begin with but she continued to file them down to the bone. Didn't even paint my whole nail, they look like they're grown out when I took this picture immediately after because she missed so much of my nail. Couldn't even clean up the red she got all over my finger tips. I asked for a refund and expressed that I was unhappy with them and she denied it and blamed it on the color being old and that's why they're bumpy which wasn't even my concern and doesn't make up for how poorly they were pained. This probably has to be the worst experience I have had in a nail salon. I came in for the SNS dip and the technician used the automatic file to clean around the nail bed and caused multiple cuts in my finger tips. The following two days, it pained whenever I washed my hands or applied lotion. Worried I would get infection from the used equipment, I started applying Neosporin religiously. After a couple of days it seems to improve but the cuts are still noticeable. Perhaps being nicked once could be a mistake, but I have four separate cuts on my fingers that were bleeding and sore. The technician was not careful at all, and even after I notified her that it is painful, she continued. In addition, they seem to use the same nail kit for everyone and don't change the files in between use. This place is unhygienic and I would not recommend to anyone. I have had a pedicure here before previously which was fine but it was with another technician. However, after this experience, I will not be returning again. Cutting the cuticles to point of blood is inexcusable. she commented my nails are too short for color or didn't offer me water when I asked. Horrible service overall. read more

I've gone there TWICE!!! After my first experience I didn't think I was going to go back. First time getting my shellac done and the lady was rough and cut me, not once but TWO times! Fast forward 6 months later, I decided to give them another try since my cousin convinced me to go back. We scheduled 3 mani and pedis but did not start till an hour later. Cindy helped me with both mani and pedi. Mind you my toe nails were already trimmed very short but she wanted to try and file them! She was cutting me! Now to my acrylics, after we had trimmed down the tips I asked for coffin shaped and she took a pause and looked at me and said it's $45 for the shape and $40 if I left it as square. She was very rough with the filing, digging her nails to separate the excess acrylics off my skin. Of course she cut my cuticles on a few of my fingers. The acrylics were layered on very thin, I felt more confident in my glued in nail. When I'm visiting the area I stay in a hotel close by. This shop is fairly large and they have lots of technicians so the wait is minimal. They offer 1 or 2 complimentary beverages ... including adult beverages! Lots of colors to choose from and the technician that I got was efficient, did an excellent job, and didn't make me feel rushed even though they were slammed! The chair massager is unlike any I've experienced ... it massages your bottom too (not sure if this is good or bad yet). I've tried the waxing as well and it's okay ... I wish they threaded but that's just what I prefer. Waxing went well, a little too hot at first but she cooled it once I told her it burned too bad. read more

She did such an amazing job!! At first I was hesitant to go because of the reviews but I've gotten my dipping powder there and it lasted me 3-4 weeks so I had to try a full set. She took her time removing my old set, took her time applying and took her time putting the acrylic on and took her time filing and making it look perfect! I went to Luxury Nail Bar in Jantzen Beach, OR yesterday. I asked for a powder ombre fill. The guy male tech seemed preoccupied by watching the other employees WHILE drilling on my nails. I asked him if everything was ok in here. He looked at me funny didn't say anything then started to pay attention to doing my nails. When I left I noticed the tips are very bumpy but I thought it might smooth out after a few hours... It didn't. And the colors are way too loud and choppy. It is not an smooth blended ombre and looks horrible. I specifically called the salon this morning. I explained to the gal that I got a powder ombre and don't like the color will they fix it. She said yes they can fix it. I asked her if they would charge me and she said no charge. I gave her my name and told her I'll be there in 15 minutes. When I got there they said they will have to charge me. I told her that I explained this to her on the ombre and she said no charge. They continued to argue that U have to pay again to fix. I used to go there a few years ago and had great service with a former tech, Lana. I paid $70 with tip and expect that since I called ahead the very next day and confirmed no charges to fix. They are $10-15 more than my other salon. A hair stylist will do at least 1 adjustment without charge if you're not hair. I would expect nail salons to do the same. I will NEVER recommend or go to Luxury Nail Bar again!!! read more

She is sweet, creative, enjoys conversing with her clients, and gives fabulous hand massages. Every visit, I come in with a photo design and she knocks it out of the park! I almost didn't go here because of their Yelp score, but I was in a pinch so my daughter and I decided to give it a try. I'M SO GLAD I DID. They are fantastic. They did a great job on my Mani-Pedi and my daughter loved her Acrylics. She really dug that they weren't as thick as normal acrylics and looked a lot more natural. They offered free drinks!!!!! They even painted the fingers and toes for the lil Princess Lola. All 3 of us were walk-ins and even though they looked pretty busy they were able to take us all. They were friendly, the salon was nice, they did a great job, what more could I want from a nail salon? Me: super rushed, painful and up-charged me to throw a hot towel over both of my legs at the same time, rub a rock over my calf for exactly two minutes. Charged extra for the color I chose, when that's the option they handed me. Terrible. Entire "deluxe" pedicure took about 15 minutes. My daughter: up-charged her, would not cut nails shorter. (Up charged for the length) -- pulled the same- "well you chose from our mermaid collection" when that's what they handed her. Did not do what she asked & told me that my daughter requested all of this. They took advantage of a 15 year old and then blamed her at the amplified cost. In the end, this was a very uncomfortable experience where we were both taken advantage of. We will not be back. We do not suggest anyone go here. This place is wild. I've been there more than once as it is on my way home and I've needed to go there in a pinch. The last time was the last time though, it's just too much. 1) The place is filthy. Boxes everywhere, product spilling out of cabinets, tools sitting in mysterious blue liquid. I've never seen any tools get sanitized. Never. 2) The clientele is less than desirable. I get that it's not a high-end soothing spa-type experience, but the last time there was a woman with three small children and her friend. The two women screamed a conversation with each other over the din of their kids running around and watching a movie on an iPad with no headphones...at full volume. This is pretty typical. No one said anything. 3) The up-sell is too much. Sometimes you just want a quick and easy pedicure without any frills. They seem to take it personally when you decline the additional services. 4) This is a minor pet peeve of mine, but they demand your phone number to check in and then they text you. Despite having previous issues with this nail salon, I like to buy local and live on the island; my options are limited. I needed a quick, SIMPLE manicure (regular polish). Their hard sell to change my request from a regular polish to a gel polish is always a turn off, but I finally got what I wanted; my nails are healing from multiple exposures to the "nail dremel". The manicurist they directed me to was very, very new. I understand a regular manicure is a basic, cheap service and not worthy of a seasoned technician.... so I settled in to be a guinea pig; everyone has to learn sometime. I use my hands in the garden, my cuticles were a mess. The technician did not remove the cuticles, only removed the hangnails and went straight to filing, buffing and painting. There was a complete language barrier, it was impossible to communicate. I pointed out several times the cuticles, but she didn't understand. Finally, after the second coat of polish the manager walked by to inspect and after some heated words that I didn't understand, moved the person out of the chair to finish the job herself. She commented to me that the cuticles should have been removed, I agreed. She did her best to remove the worst without ruining the polish. Yes, at this point I should have demanded that the polish be removed and start over, but I only allowed 1.5 hours for this appointment and we were already an hour in. The manager put the third coat of polish on and commented on my toes, asking if I wanted a polish change. I told her I didn't have time. She said she could do it while my nails dried. I agreed. In the end, she charged me FULL price for a crappy manicure AND charged me for the polish change on my toes, which I thought was complimentary as a make up for the crappy manicure. This is MORE than the 3rd strike for this salon, I will never go back. read more

I've been to this place a few times for pedicures and it has been okay. This last visit, however, was different. I paid for the deluxe pedicure that was advertised to have multiple different scents but she said they were all out and only had a few scents left this was only after asking because I didn't want the pumpkin spice she just grabbed without asking what I wanted. Again, she didn't ask how short I wanted my nails, just started cutting away then rushed so she could get to a nail client that walked in. I then had to have another nail tech do my manicure, which was fine but the situation just got worse. My cuticles were cut, leavening a wound that opened back up the next day when I slightly bumped it at work. A few of my nails were cracked on the side but I didn't want them cut/evened out since I had some really short ones, she was fine with this and started to place nail glue over it, as I have had done many times, before putting on gel polish. This was abruptly interrupted by another nail tech who quickly cleaned the glue off and proceeded to put dip powder on the few nails, again, never asking if I wanted this. I didn't realize what they were doing until it was too late and my finger was already in the whole container of powder that I am sure ever other clients nails have been in. Disgusting On top of all that, I got my nails done for a trip just to have the gel polish come off just days into my trip. I've had regular polish last longer on my nails than this. read more
