First time I went here I had a good experience with a great gel polish pedicure. Second time I went here I asked for an acrylic full set with tips; however, received glue press ons with gel polish for SEVENTY DOLLARS. Not only did I receive the wrong service - they looked AWFUL. There was large amounts of glue left under the nails. You could see the tips of my actual nail underneath the French tip polish. Multiple nails were glued at an ugly 30° angle with the pinkies being the worst. I did gather the courage to go back and complain about 30 minutes later and the original lady tried to argue with me saying they were acrylic nails and that they looked fine. A second lady (assuming it was either the owner or manager) attempted to fix them but unfortunately they were unsalvageable. They did look a bit better but ultimately they should have been removed and redone properly. As a side note, after only two days both of my thumb nails have already started to lift. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone read more

This was my favorite salon in SP so my husband got me a $100 gift certificate for our anniversary. The owner scratched the expiration date out and told him it doesn't expire. I normally work every single day with 2 jobs but today is the one day I had off so I thought I'd treat myself. Normally I'm pretty nervous when I go to salons because I'm not normally someone who goes very often so I forget what to do but my technician Kenzie (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) was super super sweet and kind to me and she made the entire experience super relaxing and we had a great conversation. I just moved to the area and needed some services. My pedicure was awesome!!! I would definitely do another pedi. My full set was a disaster and total disappointment. I only wanted a French, with a silver line and a snowflake on ring fingers. I had to reshape my nails, they were ridiculous. The design stinks. And I got no silver line. And I provided a picture, that they said they could do. And to top it off, it was the most painful experience ever. 3 of my fingers were bleeding, and a day later I can hardly touch anything because my fingers hurt. This was hands down the worst manicure I've ever had. The removal of my previous manicure was rushed and product was left on my nails. The tech said she knew how to do gel x nails and then when application time came it was a disaster. There was gel product all over my hands and the nails were laying at odd angles all over my nails. I asked for them to be removed and she then took cuticle clippers and began ripping the nails off. Damaging my natural nails. My nails were drilled down to paper thin levels and then the gel polish that was applied as a last minute fix has already peeled off 2 days later. I waited 2 weeks to give this review because I wanted to see how long my nails would last. I was told the SNS nails would last for 3-4 weeks and by the $45 price tag I would hope so. The lady that did my nails really rushed. Massaged my hands for maybe 5 seconds. I left with just ok nails. Wasn't too impressed but figured if they last a whole month that will be great. I will start by saying the staff was very nice. That being said, I was a little disappointed in the service. The cuticles on my toes were not fully cleaned up and I had to finish them myself the next day. The polish on finger nails were still getting dings in them two days later. It took me a week to process my thoughts on this place. Service; the kind of feeling you get when you are not wanted and more of an inconvenience. I selected the pedicure option with the longer Foot massage and received about a 60 second massage per foot. Least favorable massage I have ever received in a nail place and sadly I paid extra for it to be longer. I was going to hold off and give a higher rating of this place based on the actual nail work but as of today my nails and toenails are both chipping! This salon prides itself on having a gel manicure last at least two weeks according to their posters inside but my nails are not holding up. My real disappointment came from the customer service aspect. I just never felt welcomed. I felt I was really more of an inconvenience than anything. I don't like that feeling when I am customer. Everyone working there seemed either busy on their phones or annoyed rather than welcoming. It's too bad. I was at the massage envy across the street and decided to search yelp for a nail spa, and seen that this location had great reviews so I decided to give it a try! I went in and was welcomed and got serviced right way which was nice. The nail tech that serviced me was very sweet and let me search through the wide variety of nail colors, I went with a gel manicure. I was extremely impressed by the cleanliness of this salon. The tool they used on me came from a autoclave pouch. Out of all the nail spas I have ever been to I have NEVER seen this done!! I was floored and surprised, I then started thinking geez this is going to be expensive!!! I started look everywhere for a price board in a slight panic. The service was amazing, my nails turned out fantastic. We walked to the front so I could pay and I was shocked again!!! The price was great, I was so happy when I left. My return trip was not nearly as fantastic. :-( I had a different girl this time around and it was poor luck for me. The second visit was a significantly more painful one. I felt like I was being tortured. It started off with water that was literally boiling, and then on to the not so gentle pedicure. She even cut the webbing between my pinky toe. I was in so much pain nearly the entire time I was in the chair. It really ruined the experience, and it didn't help that she wasn't even the least bit friendly. She didn't say a single thing to me the entire time, and instead just glared at me and my non-manicured fingers. About 3/4 through my pedicure, a customer walked in, who was so obviously a regular (and judging by the charm that suddenly oozed out of my attendant) a very high tipper. My attendant suddenly turned into this bright, cheery, friendly person and began to rush through my stuff in order to get to her. Initially, after this second experience I was going to give this place another shot and just avoid this employee. But after updating my review, the salon "manager" sent a fairly rude and assuming message to me. If that's the attitude they treat customers, then no thanks. Further update: The polish this time around lasted less than a week before flaking off. read more

I was invited to an event last minute and ran out to get my nails done. It was my first time at Luxury, and probably my last. I got a gel mani/pedi. Honestly, I just didn't like the tech. And it one of those situations that isn't that easy to explain like if he had been swearing at me or something. It was just little things like not answering my questions or acknowledging the few things I said (like "I want a gel manicure", I wasn't trying to start a conversation) that left him coming across as unfriendly, dismissive and rude. He also didn't do a stellar job, because my nails were peeling within a couple of days. I'm giving them three stars because there was no wait which is a positive and the other techs seemed a lot more on top of things, also because I don't know how they would have handled things had I gone back to get my nails fixed there. I got the lavender pedicure and it was hands down the best pedicure I've ever received! The lavender pedicure comes with hot stones, a hydrating mask and paraffin wax. They helped me pick a color that matched the one I picked for my dip manicure, took the time to carefully help me compare colors which I really appreciated! Probably the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I went in with an open mind. I recently found an amazing nail place in Odenton (Amore Nails) but they were closed for the holiday and I broke my nail rough housing so I needed a fix. I went with a friend..... I will never go back. The male with long hair did mine and convo was friendly. He did however miss some steps (cleaning under my nails, making them even length, etc.) but I let it go. I wanted a simple design (pictured below). Instead of the turqoise lines I wanted dark green lines but a gold glitter gel under base. As he began to paint my nails he started to paint my ring finger a solid green. I asked him if he was still doing the design to which he quickly nodded and proceeded. I'm not a nail tech but I've been getting my nails done FOREVER, and all of my friends do nails in salons at school... so common sense is that for this design you would need a glitter GEL under base and lines on top. Instead of listening to the women techs telling him this he continued to argue and push me through the process. I spend usually about $100 on a fill because I ask for a lot, and I am not cheap and I know good work cost for everything. All I wanted was a simple design. Then to fix it the woman tech put REGULAR OPI glitter on as a base after half heartedly removing the green (it was still around the edges). I became annoyed because I knew I'd be charged for gel that I didn't even receive. Then the lines she made didn't go all the way across and some were splotchy. I've never felt so uncomfortable. Literally ever nail tech was standing over, telling ME how I want MY nails, and the guy was even grabbing my hands and hovering. At this point I just said to make my nails all solid green. Oh AND he burnt my pinky cuticle because he kept the tool WAY too close to my nail bed, which could ruin my nails. I didn't complain and I did my best keeping my frustration in until they A.) tried to argue B.) NEVER apologized... but I was still relatively calm. To top it off, they charged me full price, I didn't ask for a discount but really?! I don't generally write bad reviews but please just be aware. The other girls seemed nice but this man was RUDE. Even the women towards the end really could have saved the whole issue but then she tried to tell me the picture I showed her wasn't gel but she didn't know the picture was of a set of ALL GEL design my tech did that she already told me about . Then the other girl suggested a glitter sparkle that was holographic with other colors (nothing like the pic) and I politely said it wasnt the same as the picture, to which SHE tried to argue. This is not my usual nail salon, but my place was not able to fit me in so I tried out Luxury Nail and Spa. I was not happy. It's dim and hot and smells of onions. The woman who did my nails did a sloppy job to the point where I ended up taking the nail file and filing my own toe nails to straighten a crooked nail she couldn't get quite right. She also went too far and rough with my cuticles and I'm concerned they will be sore (I'm still sitting in the chair waiting for my toes to dry as I type). Then the paint job was such a mess another tech came over to remove the polish from 2 nails and start again. Her job was only a little better. My mother in law and daughter are with me and my daughter's nails look pretty good. My mother in law's nails are a mess. She's not very picky, but I would have asked to have someone else do them all over again. We will not be back. read more

I went to this place, on a friday morning right when they opened the store and I was the first person there. I got a pedicure, and then a manicure, The pedicure was nice, and they were really attentive to what I wanted. I found a picture online about these french ombre nails and usually I am skeptical about getting my nails done because I only get french but i stepped out of my comfort zone this time. I got a french ombre design with a glitter design on my ring fingers. They used the SNS nail polish on mu real nails and I was so surprised on how they work and how well they stay on. They were on for at least three weeks before I had to take them off because my nail was growing a little long and it started to look off. But the people here were so nice, and they make conversation with you. They make it so you feel included, not like most places where you don't really talk to them. They also made sure to take ever detail into consideration. Overall, pleased with the look of my nails and the service and I definitely will go back here from now on. read more

I chose to come here based on Yelp reviews. I was highly disappointed. I would rate less stars if I could. My lady was NOT paying attention to what she was doing at all. My daughter and I went in for manicures. The lady my daughter had was decent and did a decent job, but she never talked. My lady hounded me from the time I walked in till right before she started painting my nails, asking if I wanted a gel manicure. She finally started on my nails and as I mentioned before, did not pay attention to what she was doing. She would constantly look at the front door to see who was coming in. She yanked my cuticles and made me bleed in 2 areas. Never said a thing to me about that. (I went home and immediately soaked in peroxide) She rushed the whole process. Something else I noticed, when the technicians are done with their tools they place them under a towel in the back along with the individual wrappers they come in. My fear is they save the packaging and re-package at the end of the day. They would like you to think they are using new utensils each time, but I'm afraid that might not be the case. I have been to this place twice but will not be back for a third time. I had no problems on my first visit other than waiting quite a while to be served, but I was a walk in. My second visit, however, was so frustrating that I won't be back. I made an appointment this time to make sure I could keep to my schedule for the day. I was getting a mani/pedi with French tips for a friend's wedding and the rehearsal was that afternoon? I was told my appointment would take an hour including drying time but it ended up taking about two and a half hours. That wasn't the part that really annoyed me though. I discussed at length the style of French tips I wanted with the nail technician (male). I know he understood what I wanted because he described how the pink would go near last and over the white but that the white would show through white. I said that was great because I had the tips done at another place (with the thin line like I wanted) but they used clear and you could see where the white of my real nail started and it looked stupid. He said again that they would use the pink and the thin white line and it would look very natural. He also (for the third time) tried to convince me to get gels instead of regular polish like I requested. I finally gave in and said ok. About this time, the couple that was getting married the next day came in. Apparently they were looking to get manicures before the rehearsal too and my husband told them where I was. They sat down and were helped by another technician. Meanwhile, my guy started doing my nails and it looked like things were going well; the thin white line looked great. He got out the bottle of pink and started trying to get polish out of it. The bottle was obviously completely empty. Without saying anything, he put that bottle down and went and got a bottle of clear. He just painted the rest of my nails with the clear! He never acknowledged that it wasn't what I wanted or what we discussed! I didn't have time to have him redo them with the regular polish and I didn't want to make a scene with the couple getting married there as they were already under a lot of stress. So, I just paid and left. But I will not be back. This place does not have the integrity deserving of my business. read more
