1 Star Review - Luxury Nails I had a very unpleasant experience at Luxury Nails. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming. No one greeted me at the door. Instead, I was immediately warned not to take any photographs. There were no signs posted anywhere in the salon saying that photos or videos were not allowed, so the way it was said felt more like a threat than a polite request. It made the entire situation feel uncomfortable right from the start. I asked for a regular pedicure, which costs $43 -- already a very high price for a basic service. Unfortunately, the pedicure lasted less than 10 minutes. I actually timed it because it felt so rushed. For that price, I expected a relaxing and thorough service, but instead it felt like I was pushed through as quickly as possible. The technician was not friendly at all. I tried making polite conversation, but she barely engaged. The only thing she kept repeating was, "You only here four weeks?" over and over again, which made the interaction feel awkward and uncomfortable. What made the experience even worse was how roughly she handled my legs and feet during the pedicure. She was moving my legs very forcefully, almost as if she was angry. I truly did not understand what was going on, and it made me feel very uneasy and mistreated. When I brought my concerns to the manager and tried to explain why I was upset, the response was even worse. The attitude I received felt like, "just give us your money and leave quickly." There was no attempt to listen, apologize, or resolve the situation. The entire interaction was awkward and uncomfortable, and I left feeling confused about what had just happened. A pedicure is supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable, but this visit was the complete opposite. Between the rushed service, unfriendly staff, rough treatment, and poor response from management, this was a very disappointing experience. I definitely did not feel welcome here and would not recommend this salon to anyone looking for a pleasant experiance. I also notice place was bare no customers. As though these people are not very happy and it made my experience awful I come to relax not to freak out. though they were an angry crowd they were not happy with each other or even working with each other. I frequent this establishment every five weeks or so and I love the young lady at front desk and also my favorite manicurist. They both are always so polite and pleasant. I would not get my nails done here if not for my manicure specifically.. The lady owner is not friendly, nor does she have basic customer service skills. She's rude and glares at everyone. She did my pedicure one time and I was miserable. If you don't have a favorite person here, be on the look out for the rude owner and ask for someone else. She's usually eating so relatively easy to spot. read more

Hit or miss. I think some of the staff are untrained. I typically go to another salon in town, but a friend wanted to come here and the technician made my nails so thick. They started peeling five days after. And I prefer all female staff. read more

I hate them so much. The vibe on my nails is horrible I cried when I got home because these nails are horrendous . I came to get a polish change on my fingers and toes with my mom, sisters and nieces, I told the man at the front desk what I was there for and the nail techs that started the services on me. They immediately started doing a pedicure and manicure on me, when I went to clarify that I did not want all of that, I was yelled at in front of everyone, I was told it was too late to go back and that I HAD to get a full manicure and pedicure, I stated that, that is not what I had said when I got there to everyone, from that moment on for the rest of the appointment they were so rude to me, gave me a botched nail job and didn't put a top coat on the polish. trust me when I say, DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I came in here to get my nails done on the 24th and I asked for acrylic pink aura nails and they turned out nothing like the picture. I got a solid color and the pink was an entire different shade from the picture. A few days after one of my nails happens to fall off randomly when walking around. I came here in the past and I've had issues every-time I came here. I would stay away if you want quality nails and I do not recommend! read more

I have never been more disappointed in a nail establishment. I went in for a pedicure and dip manicure. The pedicure was fine, and I don't have a complaint there. However, the dip manicure was a mess. I left with unblended, messy, and poorly shaped nails. When I made a suggestion, I got snapped back at, so from that point on, I just wanted to leave. I mentioned at the front that I was not happy, and the woman checking me out insisted that it was just that not washed my hands well enough. I will not be returning. read more

The salon is clean and well stocked. The employees are very kind, and I always am appreciative of the service I receive from them. I typically get a regular polish pedicure and an sns dip manicure. I love to get them done separately because I make sure I go when I have plenty of time to relax, but they will do them both at the same time if you're in a hurry. They have tons of regular polish colors, gels colors, and three books of dip colors. They offer an assortment of drinks while you get your service, although I typically get water or a coke, they do have wine. read more

Best classic pedicure I've had. They take their time and give you quality attention. The gel pedi along with the leg massage was 10/10.

I came in for a gel mani & gel pedi today. Overall, I'm pleased and would probably go there again. John was my nail technician. He was charming, accommodating, and in a good mood. He did a great job on my nails and was very pleasant to be around. Some of the other nail technicians seemed in a sour mood, so I don't think I would be writing such a positive review if I had someone else work on me. I am definitely asking for him next time. The only thing I will say, is an $18 upcharge for gel nail polish seems ridiculous. Every other salon I've been to either doesn't charge extra for gel, or it's just $10. I felt ripped off when I discovered this at checkout. They also don't have their prices adequately displayed. read more

As someone who's been receiving nail services for 25+ years I have seen the good and the bad. Acrylic overlay with one color gel is my go to, but I am astonished that the salon charges $20 for gel on your hands and $20 for gel on your feet plus the removal from the previous service was $10. I paid $50 alone just for the gel polish, no art nothing fancy not to mention I was charged an additional $10 to receive an almond shape. Nothing is worse than when you feel taken advantage of as a patron. However when we expressed our concerns about the nails being crooked the nail tech refused to listen and started arguing with us. Also they couldn't do a simple nail design, and the owner's husband started talking mess about my sister right in front of her. Came to Austin for a day trip and stopped by the area and our nail tech, My Thai, did such a wonderful job on our nails. We were in there for THREE hours for simple work. The lady gave my daughter an ugly face and threw her arms around when she learned that she had to redo hers. Then when I talked to the front desk about the whole thing. She gave me the face so I had to ask her what her problem was about. She stormed off. I asked the cashier for her name. If I could give this place -5 stars I would. I tried it once and was less than impressed, but I gave it another chance and thought maybe it was just a bad fit with my nail tech. I had an SNS dip last Saturday and checked out at 3 PM. Before 530 that day I had lost one nail, the next day another, and on Monday three more. By Tuesday afternoon I only had one nail left! Usually my SNS dips last over three weeks and they never just pop off in one piece like these did. I returned to the salon and requested a refund so that I could go to another salon to start again. Of course they gave me a very hard time about but I insisted. After much negotiation back-and-forth, they finally agreed but then the woman at the front desk grabbed my receipt that had my personal information on it and without asking, took a picture of it on her personal phone and insisted that they needed it for their records. I demanded that she erase it since it had my name and other identifying information on it, I felt did not have the right to have it on her personal phone, especially without asking permission first. That's when things got ugly. I don't trust this place at all. They are rude, the salon is dirty and their customer service is SH**! I went to this nail salon with my friend, and I'm sad to say that this place is terrible, all they did was disrespect. The service is really bad too. The workers there were not careful, they kept hurting my cuticle when I told them to be careful. My friend's cuticle also started bleeding too. They also decided to follow their design instead of the design that my friend and I wanted. My friend went to this nail salon place before, she said that the last time she came, it wasn't a good experience for her. We were hoping for a better experience but seems like it remains the same. horrible experience, the lady who did my nails got up in the middle to go yell at a different worker for about 5 minutes extremely loudly everyone was staring. she wasn't able to do a basic square nail she kept making them rounded and lumpy when i asked for sharp square at least 10 times and kept showing her pictures, and then i asked her to draw a star on my nail and it was the most lopsided star i've ever seen and she redid it a few times, i think at one point it only had 4 points and then told me i shouldn't get the stars which is really devastating considering that's why i was getting my nails done was to get a cute design. so i had to leave the salon with plain nails and somehow still pay $75 i feel like if you work at a nail salon you should be able to draw a star? she made me bleed several times she was extremely rough. i've had plenty of bad experiences at other salons but this was by far the absolute worst. she also kept huffing and puffing at me like it was my fault she didn't know how to file a simple sharp square nail. i'm usually not one to complain about my nails if they turn out bad but the lady was so rude it ruined the whole experience for me and made me feel like i wasted time out of my day! read more

Don't go here. They rang me up for a $38 gel mani and then tried to charge me an extra $18 for gel? When I mentioned it they adjusted the rate to $35 with $18 extra for gel. I've never had people charge that much for gel... the pedicure was a deluxe pedicure and the lady didn't even put my whole food in the wax. I ask for the same color on my hands and feet and they are completely different colors. The Mani is pink and the pedi was yellow? After I mentioned it the lady said she'd fix it but I didn't have time to wait. Not going back here again. Not worth it and I think they are pretty shady. read more
