I've been here twice now by happenstance. Each time I've been satisfied with my service. It's a small place so it gets easily crowded but if you make an appointment or go at an off time then is should be a better experience. The only thing is that my friend was getting shellac and had to pick a new color twice since then didn't have two of the colors she had picked originally. I used to go here for over a year and half! I loved it until I asked for a purple SNS it was discolored. I went a couple days after to get my nails repainted with gel just bc SNS doesn't work for me ,plus I was going on a beach trip ,and didn't want them to look like total shit. They didn't even fix them they sanded it down ,and my purple nails was still on their ,but the day after getting them repaired. I went to the beach to enjoy the day ,and got back on the bus ,and checked my nails... They were already cracking and looking really bad. I am very disappointed with my service at this nail spa. I live within walking distance and tried it out for convenience. I am pregnant and was in desperate need for a pedicure and massage. I upgraded to the deluxe package. The technician did not even massage my legs or feet. When I asked her about it she argued with me and told me that she did. I was so frustrated I just paid and left. He even takes the time to compare the thickness of the white lines on my French manicure. I had been going to Luxury Nails for years. I've only been a couple of times since they moved to their new location in the Galleria and all I can say is I don't know what happened! Maybe new owners or management. Last week, the guy who did my pedicure just blobbed on the polish so heavily and bad it had to be removed and redone by another person. It was the worst pedicure I've ever had in my life. I then had to wait for 25 minutes to have it stripped and redone. Now after only a week, not only are my toenails peeling off, my hand nails are too! I paid for the gel on both my feet and and hands and both are peeling off! After spending $80+$15 tip you would think that my nails and toes would last longer than one week since this is the gel polish. I won't be going back. Not sure what happened to the old management and technicians, but wondering now if even the people who did mine are even skilled and licensed. I guess I'll need to find a new place again! I've been coming to this nail salon for about three years now, but this last visit was the best ever. I came in to get acrylics for my prom. I had a picture of exactly what I wanted, and I wasn't going to change my mind. The first 15 minutes of my appointment was made up of Alex, the nail tech, running around trying to find the exact shades and colors I was asking for. I was definitely putting him to work, but he was very happy to help. My nails turned out exactly how I wanted them to, and the service was amazing. I go to this spa almost weekly. I like that it is always clean. They also have a huge selection of colors of polish and gel. Most of the staff is friendly and skilled. I usually don't make an appointment because I don't think it makes much of a difference in wait time. However, a couple times I've walked in and I waited 15 or more minutes longer than they predicted. That's frustrating because I would prefer to leave and come back. Also, I get the feeling that they are frustrated, that I don't get gel. I usually get regular nail polish because I work in a medical environment where you're not supposed to wear gel. I hate giving bad reviews but I was extremely disappointed with this place. It was my first time there and I was treating myself to a gel manicure and gel pedicure. A month later and I am still suffering the consequences of the horrible job they did. First, the manicure - they cut my cuticles, twice, used a drill and not only was it VERY painful, but I have divots on many of my fingernails. The SNS nail system they recommended didn't last a week so I had to go to another salon and get it redone. Pedicure - they did a horrible job so the guy who did my manicure had to redo many of the toenails and he redid my heels. Well, he rubbed them raw and I could barely walk for a few days. The final blow is that I went this weekend to get another pedicure (at another place, of course) and the gel was baked on my nails so hard that it took an hour to take it off, so they had to cut my appointment short due to another appointment scheduled after me (not their fault). This was a huge waste of time and money and my nails were severely damaged. I would avoid this place. read more

If you were a customer of luxury nails before they moved, be warned. They are not the same now. The pedicure lasted less than 15 minutes, included no removal of dead skin or filing of the nails. The manicure was so bad, I went directly home and removed the color. It did not include cuticle trim, oil or lotion. The cost for 2 pedicures and 2 manicures was $180. First time going to this nail salon. When I first walked in they told me five minutes till they can get me in. After 20 min. of waiting they finally got me and my best friend in. I told them I wanted the deluxe mani for both of us. They gave us both just a polish change and charged us for the deluxe after I told him it was just a polish change. There was one guy working the manicures. So he had to do me first while my best friend was sitting across with her hands in the water for 30 min. How embarrassing! While the guy was cutting my cuticles he stabbed me and I started bleeding everywhere. After he finally finished me he did my friend will all the same tools he used on me. totally unsanitary! After we were all done we put our nails in the dryer and my friend chipped hers so she asked to redo that nail and he told us no, not unless we pay extra. Worst nail store ever! DONT GO!!! read more

I am now giving a 1-star rating to counteract my previous 5-star rating. I loved this place my first time or two going, but after three strikes in a row now, I will not return. Strike 1- The only person who does SNS leaves for 1 month on vacation and no one else can do it 2- They fill my SNS nails with acryllic and then charge me FULL PRICE for a fill 3- I make an appointment hours ahead of time for 2 pedicures at 1:30 (on my lunch break); we both get seated at the same time but my friend was totally finished before anyone even started on me. I wish I had walked out earlier and would have if I was alone. Sitting for 30-minutes, WITH an appointment, and without one person saying anything to me or apologizing for the wait. Wow. Insult and injury! I needed a simple acrylic fill and pedi. I'm new to town. The pedi was fine. The gal who "did" my fill seemed like she ran the place. She cut me with the drill THREE times and apologized as I bled all over place and applied pressure. The fill was HORRIBLE!! It looks so AWFUL that I'm thinking of just removing the acrylics altogether (after 8 years enjoying them). And THEN, to top it all off - she charged me $23 for the horrible process (I was very willing to pay the $25 for the pedi, but to charge me FULL price for the crappy fill and lacerations!!!). Bad experience from the beginning to end starting with dirty restroom with no paper towels. Went to sit in the pedi chair and when I pulled the armrest down it had some type of grease all over it which stained my shirt. They moved me to the next chair without even checking to see what it was. Figured out it was wax from the previous customers hand treatment. They immediately sat another customer there without checking or cleaning the armrest. I warned her to be careful and she had the same look I did which was shock that nobody seemed to care. I paid for an upgraded pedi and a gel (powder) on my nails. They had two different guys; one for mani and one for pedi. The guy taking off my previous gel color used a drill instead of polish remover soaked cotton ball wrapped in foil like I've always had before and other customers where getting. I asked him why and he just said no. I had to stop him countless times because the drill kept hitting my cuticles and each time he looked irritated at me. I've never had a more painful manicure. He was rude and when finished just set the bill down and walked off. Never put lotion on my hands or said good by, thank you or have a nice day! The pedicure was a little better but he seemed as disinterested as the other guy. He basically talked to the guy next to him nonstop and when finished painting my nails set the bill down and walked off. No instructions on how long to sit there until they were dry and no checking back. The mani and pedi where both average. The place seems pretty much interested in getting you in and out thus having your pedicure and mani done at the same time. I went in for a relaxing couple hours to end a long week and left irritated and definitely not relaxed. Waste of time and money, will not be back. read more

They were not very attentive, cut my cuticles around my toe nails and argued with me when I said the water temperature was too hot. No massage of the feet or shins-just rubbed the lotion on. I was getting my nails done for my wedding the next day. They were busy, but I made an appointment. The guy made me feel so rushed when picking out a color for my dipped nails. After I said I didn't not like any of the colors he kept choosing colors for me (all bright pink saying they were nice) I did not want pink. So I told him that I will just get up and wait because I did not like feeling rushed.. and then he changed his attitude, but he was still rude. My nails sucked. Not even a week my one nail is off and the rest are lifting. Then I got a pedicure, the girl did not even speak English. I asked for more coats and she had someone else do it because she was getting frustrated that she didn't understand me.That was the icing on the cake. I had my fiancé come to see me just to give me a hug because I was crying. Thank you for making me feel like an inconvience even when I had made an appointment. I hate this place. So rude! I should have listened to everyone else's reviews before going here. They also rushed one of my bridesmaids who got her nails done. She was just talking to me and they went up to her and asked if she wanted her nails done. I visited this salon after having been here about two times before, and I am so appalled by what happened. I walked in there with a friend and immediately all the workers' heads turned to stare at us. I didn't mind it at first as that's a natural instinct when someone walks in the door, but as I went to choose my color for my nails, a group of workers were huddled in the corner talking and staring right at me. Also, the man who worked the front desk was rushing me so much as I was picking my color, even handing me colors to try and get me to decide quicker. After I chose my color hurriedly, he pointed me towards the seat and I sat down. The lady I got said nothing as I set my polish down in front of her and laid my hands out. She started quicky with the normal cutting, buffing, etc. She didn't ask how much I wanted cut off or what shape I wanted or anything, she just went right ahead. AND she didn't even cut them evenly, which at the time I hadn't noticed so I never said anything, but it was quite clear after. Then she moved on to actually painting the nails. I kid you not, she spent no more than 2 minutes painting all 10 nails with a double coat of polish AND a top coat. They looked absolutely horrible. The layers were totally uneven, there were air bubbles on a couple nails, a hair was stuck in between the two layers, AND she didn't even bother to clean up some of the nail polish she had gotten on my skin! After she finished painting my nails, she didn't even give me a chance to say anything and she just walked off! I had to pay $18 for these! I am so disappointed and am 100% sure I will never go there again. Staff is so rude and rushing and impolite. Huge disgrace. read more
