I asked for a full set/gel and honestly left so disappointed. Not only was the nail technician, Lynn, less than personable, but she also destroyed my nails and cut me with the nail file twice. She did not place the acrylic right so I have huge gaps between my nails, and they are very poorly shaped. I asked for a coffin shape with she charged me $5 extra for, and filed my nails so hard that she ended up tearing the skin between my nails on two different fingers. Go someplace else because this was such a waste of money and I ended up having to go to a different nail salon the next day in order for them to fix the mess that Lynn did. Not happy. read more

I was drawn to come to this nail salon because of its convenient location but I don't think I'll be returning again. I went in for a gel manicure yesterday and Jenny was my technician. The manicure itself isn't terrible but there is nail polish on some of my cuticles and two of my nails aren't properly filed so they feel jagged. But nothing too noticeable. However, Jenny was extremely rough when filing and cutting my cuticles. She first cut my cuticle on my pinky and caused it to bleed. She kept apologizing and I told her it was fine, I suppose it happens. But then once she finished she felt the need to harshly file the side of my left pinky nail, filing my skin instead. It was so rough that my pinky is still throbbing and in pain. I'm not sure if Jenny is just terrible or the nail salon in general. Either way there was nothing luxurious about this salon nor was the mani worth $35. Side note - I didn't get offered any water like some other yelpers have mentioned so maybe they only offer refreshments to customers getting pedicures. read more

I come here sometimes when I'm too lazy to go to a higher end nail salon. Their work is decent and the staff is nice for the most part. Also the price is reasonable compared to other nail salons. The reason I'm giving it a 2 star however, is because I think Tina can sometimes come off as very aggressive. I needed to get my nail polish off and I asked how much it would be. She said it would be $13. I came to the salon and they started shaping my nails and she comes up to me and starts yelling really loudly "I told you. Taking color off is 13 but doing everything is 15!!" She was aggressive in her tone and she looked angry. I don't know if this is just the way she talks, but it comes off as unwelcoming and unprofessional. Everyone in the salon was looking confused because of how loudly she was talking. I don't mind paying the $15 but there has to be more professionalism. You can't come off as hostile to a customer. read more

Luxury Nails in Dunn Loring is the best nail shop in the whole area! First of all, everything in the entire shop is brand new and beautiful! The decor makes you feel like you're in some magical place! Tina the owner and Tracy are so nice and accommodating, they even offer you water, coffee and candy! The prices are great, the cheapest in the area and, they do a great job on your nails. I am very particular about my nails and I would highly recommend Luxury Nails! I've practically been to almost all the nail salons in a 5 mile radius in Tysons area. When one would think there would be great places in the area to get your nails done, that's not the case. Many nail technicians are all in a rush to get to the next person after you. I'm a person that gets pedicures not only for my nails to look pretty but also to take the time to destress from work and enjoy some "me" time. I decided to try Luxury Nail Spa since I didn't have anything to lose, with all the unpleasant experiences I've had in the area. Jenny was great! I had a spa pedicure and a manicure. I walked in with 3 nails that were very week and breaking from the edges, I was weary about having an acrylic overlay put on them in fear it would look obvious and the thickness acrylic usually has would make my 3 nails stand out and look ugly! That wasn't the case - Jenny listened to my concerns and applied a thin layer so perfectly I can't even tell which nails have it and which don't! She didn't pressure me into getting Gel color or any other services like many salons do. I look forward to going back and look forward to making this my go to nail spot! read more

Had a mani/pedi with Dana and it was great! They had plenty of colors to choose from. I walked-in and was seen right away. Offered a drink as soon as I came in and she made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. The leg massage was great - I did the orange spa pedicure. I even stayed an extra 15 minute just to enjoy the massage chair. Definitely going to be coming back to this location. read more

I moved in across the street and was looking for a new "go-to" nail salon that was convenient, reasonably priced and that ultimately did a good job on my nails. After reading the reviews on Yelp, Tina seemed to be super popular and highly recommended. I called and made an appointment later that day for a pedicure. First, let me just say that Luxury Nails is CLEAN, it smells good and is orderly. They also have a great selection of nail polish colors. Tina lived up to her recommendation and I couldn't be happier this nail salon is right across the street. It's like a dream come true. Us women know it can take years to find a good nail girl and we typically recycle them throughout the years until we find a good one that takes their time and is consistently good. She told me that she would make my feet feel like baby feet, and low and behold, she actually did! She also gave me one of the best leg and foot massages I've ever had. I've been going here for about a year now and I must say Mi is the absolute best!! I moved 25 miles away and I still come back bi-weekly to see Mi! She takes her time and your nails turn out perfect!! My gel manicures typically last 3 weeks or longer and my regular pedicure last just as long! She is always willing to accommodate all her clients needs even if you need a last minute appointment. What I love most is that my nails are always absolutely perfect! She's very precise and they always look amazing! I get many compliments on her work! Mi also is very personable and easy to talk to! No matter where I reside in the DMV, I will always come back to luxury nails to see Mi! :) I'd also like to say that the entire staff is very welcoming and nice and always speak to you and/or offer to help you even if you're not their client! Salon is nice and clean but it was not one of the better pedicures I've had. They hardly got any of the dead skin off my feet and they used this brush on the tops of my feet that really served no purpose (it also hurt more than it felt good!). Most salons these days also include the paraffin wax in their regular pedicures but this place does not. I would recommend getting the spa pedicure if you want them to go the extra mile. read more

Went in to get nails done this evening with my spouse. After I was set in the chair, he was not to allowed to sit in the next to me and the wall because a customer said she was scared and didn't want a man close to her. She was 2 chairs away. The another customer exchanged words with the manager and the other customer. Needless to say last Saturday, I came in and was sat next to the only two gentlemen in the place getting pedicures, maybe I should have been scared. I actually found it great that two African American men were getting pedicures. Great job, three customers lost because a customer was scared and didn't want a man to see her feet. Or was it because he is African American. Did I mention she was wearing sandals and was from Chicago. read more

4 of us went in for pedicure. Only 3 techs there but they said that had another girl coming in a minute. We all started soaking our feet. They rushed through my friend's service so they could start my other friend. Not fair. They should have just said they only had 3 people so one of us would have to wait. Our 4th friend was mad and decided not to pay for her service at that point. She just waited for us to finish and then we left. They did a good job on me but we were upset that someone in our party got a rushed job and we were lied to. read more

There are many times that I have had great experiences at this salon so I wanted to praise the ladies that work there for their wonderful work. I also wanted to make a point that there is one nail technician there who wears a yellow face mask (with some type of animal face) and sits in the front left area, who rushes clients and does a poor job. 5-Stars because of the location is just across the street from where I live, but 2 1/2 to 3 stars because of the service. So the last two times I've been to the salon I had a polish change and a pedicure. Each time I waited over 30 minutes to be taken care of. I mean going on a weekend mid-day is not the best idea, but I had time, though, I just didn't expect to waste it that way. I believe that you can make an appointment, but the other times I was able to just pop in with no problem. Nice clean interior and atmosphere and they offer you a beverage. On my previous visit I opted for a gel light ballerina pink color. The technician kept applying coat after coat. It was a sheer color so it really wasn't meant to have that many coats. I think I ended up with 5--I lost count of how many. Then, they were so busy they just left me at the gel UV machine and I didn't know how many more times or how long I had to leave it for. They said it would look better with more coats and I believed them. Big mistake! Another time, I believe it may have been the owner and they had just opened and I was telling them how excited I was that they just opened and they were like you should come more. I was going in for a polish change and they started criticizing who had done my nails last at another salon and kept pushing that they had better color choices, better practices, etc. I saw that they had a sign outside for a weekday happy hour which had specials and making conversation I was commenting that I wanted to try and make the happy hour special but that I couldn't make the time because I get off work too late and would miss it. I am not sure if they didn't understand me, but kept pushing that I should come to the salon more. Clearly, if you wanted me to be a frequent client, you could honor the happy hour price or offer an incentive on my next visit. It just felt very forced and rushed and that's not what you're supposed to feel when you go to the salon! Prices are reasonable for a mani, but beware of the pedicures! They entice you with an "orange pedicure" or "green tea" and that can run $50+ as opposed to a regular spa pedi which is around $25, unless you're willing to spend the extra cash for a scrub and massage. read more

Beautiful salon but the nail tech I had was subpar. I had a mani pedi done and the only reason I went here was because it was conveniently located close to work and where I workout. The price is slightly more expensive than what I would pay for in Centreville but I guess the location had to play a part in that. They charge an additional $5 to shave off calluses and they didn't do such a great job with trying to smoothen out the callus with the pumice bar. The massage was great though and she spent a good amount of time doing it which I really liked. My cuticles were not well pushed back and cut, my toe nails were clipped and shaped but did not look great after the polish was done. The polish also did not go all the way to the base of my nail and so it looked like it had already grown about a week after. The place looks great but the service is not what I would be willing to pay for again. I don't think I am going back to this place. read more

I love this place! I have been going here since they opened and it's so nice to be referred to by name and have such a personal experience each time I go. I was lucky enough to get Mi one of my first visits and she has been my girl ever since. She takes her time and my nails/toes look perfect and last at least two weeks every time. Most recently, I needed a mani/pedi for a wedding while Mi was on vacation and Tina was my technician. She was equally great and I absolutely love the results. More than the quality of work is the quality of customer service. They always open on time and regularly stay past closing time to help customers. I have never seen them turn someone away, regardless if they come in 5 minutes before close. I have always been offered something to drink and the salon is clean and beautiful. They even change the tv channel if you request to watch something else! If you haven't tried Luxury Nail Spa, I highly recommend that you do. read more

I have to be somewhere in one hour and I still need my gel manicure and pedicure done. There are also 2 people waiting as I still wait. It seems that I don't have to wait on weekdays before 3. This nail salon opened up in the last 6 months. It is a very beautiful and comfortably designed salon. Their prices are very competitive compared to the options available, and when you add in the staff and their skills, there is no reason to go elsewhere. The staff is excellent at what they do, however the one person I can truly comment on since most of my experience has been with her is Tina. I've been picking at my nails for years, and the only way to get myself to stop and grow them out is with acrylic nails, but I'm not a fan of how they typically look. However, Tina does an absolutely incredible job, with such skill and ease. Her attention to detail is what really shows when you see how natural they end up looking. If you know acrylic nails, you know they don't typically look natural, but she does such an amazing job that you wouldn't be able to tell. I can't wait for my nails to grow out so that I can have her polish them and make them healthy and perfect. If you are on the fence, I would say don't hesitate to come here, try it, because you won't be disappointed. The next time I get a chance to really spoil myself, I know I'll be coming here for everything, Tina is really wonderful. This has become my usual salon I go to because of her. read more
